On March 11, 2025, my husband and I each made a reservation for a mini van at the Inverness, Florida office to transport family to Disney World. A week before the family was coming, the office called and said the minivans we rented were recalled and they were not sure if there was going to be availability by the rental date. I called them almost every day to see if there was anything available. The minivans had not been fixed for use. My husband and I personally went to the office the day before. The manager said there was nothing available, they did have a 15 passenger van. The price was $1700 for a week. They were told they could only take $200 off the price. No the original rentals were approximately $400 each. . We had 10 grandchildren coming, expecting to see their grandparents and Disney and we were scrambling to get transportation. Enterprise did nothing to help us. I was able, last minute, to rent 2 minivans from Avis at the Ocala, Florida, airport who were going through the same lack of vehicles but they honored our rental. It was a very, very stressful situation for us. I was so upset that Enterprise, from whom I have rented previously, could not or would not give us replacements reflecting the same capacity and at the same price as our original expectations. I understand the recall was not their fault but the lack of customer service is their fault! I am 72 years old. I thought I had everything taken care of but to be faced with this dilemma the day before my family was to arrive was unacceptable.
Claimed loss: 1200 for the difference of the rental replacement.
Desired outcome: 1. 1200 for what we paid over original costOr2. Enough points for my husband and I could each rent a minivan for 7 days from Inverness.
