Enterprise Rent-A-Car false promise and misrepresentation.

I reserved a car online and received conformation [protected]. I took Uber to pick up
car and was told they were all sold out and I can wait in lobby for 4 to 6 hours to see
if any cars are returned. When I made the online reservation instead of sending a
conformation number should have sent a all sold out at this time. Simple..
I wasted 90 minutes and 2 Uber trips plus can to cancel important afternoon
appointments .. Unprofessional on all levels.. Unacceptable to lie and misrepresent
the truth that a car is available plus the disrespect of my time..
Also notified the Better Business Bureau of deceptive business practices. I could have rented from another company had I been told the truth that no cars are available. They prevented me from going somewhere else with their false reservation. Enterprise was deceitful purposely to keep me from going elsewhere
leaving me with a ruined day, lost income and cancelling important appointments..

July 16 11:45 am arrived for a 12 pm reservation..

Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental damage insurance scam

Turned in rental car and received a call later that day stating there was damage to the vehicle. When we picked up the vehicle we were not given an opportunity to exam the car and did not note any damage. I feel they take advantage of the fact that clients are pressed for time. When I contacted the Harrisburg PA airport location they asked for insurance information to process a claim. When I asked for details on the claim I was told that the vehicle would first be inspected by their claims department and then the insurance would be contacted. In our case a small piece of the door panel at the bottom of the sliding van door was missing. I pushed the issue asking how they knew it happened when we had the vehicle. The rep informed me that when they wash the vehicles they would be sure to notice a loose panel. Really? One might find it amazing that while washing a vehicle they would be SURE to notice EVERYTHING potentially wrong. I refused to provide insurance info until the damage was assessed. There was no way I was going to allow them to blindly file a claim without first reviewing the details with me. After doing a little online research it seems this is a common problem and that customers are taken advantage of frequently. Did I mention we declined the optional insurance offered by Enterprise? I do not think this is a coincidence. Before you use Enterprise for your car rental needs, consider doing a little research on the number of damage claims filed and how they nickel and dime their customers. I used to trust Enterprise. Can't wait to see how they resolve this situation.

We would also like to know how many claims of this type on this specific car has been filed and why hasn’t the problem been fixed? It’s pretty obvious they’re doing the same claim over and over.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental cars/Exotic car rental

Confirmation #: [protected]
Date of Rental: Jun 14, 2019 4pm

I attempted to rent a car from Enterprise Exotic car rentals. I made a reservation Online in May and was looking forward to the weekend. I drove all the way to the airport(approximately 2 hours--with traffic and parking at an airport lot), and then to Enterprise to pick up this car. After spending 30-45 minutes for them to locate the car, the representative told me they don't have a car for me.

earlier in the week someone from Enterprise exotics called me saying they wanted to talk to me about the car and because they didn't talk to me at that exact moment they were going to cancel the rental. I called them back 10 minutes later saying to call me back and not to cancel my reservation. I hadn't heard back from them ever after.

On Friday night (Jun 14, 2019) i opened a complaint with Enterprise about the experience and my reservation process, i was given a complaint number and i've never heard back from Enterprise again.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental car false claim

Enterprise provided me with two deductible options, a Zero dollar Deductible and a 2500 Euro Deductible. I rented a Standard transmission vehicle. The clutch started smoking literally less than two miles away from the Dublin Enterprise location and I had to call a tow truck to have the Enterprise vehicle towed back which cost me 3 hours out of my vacation. Enterprise Dublin charged my Credit Card 2500 Euros for the claim. I believe this may be a coordinated effort by Enterprise to rent cars that need maintenance to out of town drivers so they will have to file a claim for the repair. By reviewing the recent complaints, it looks like I have a good foundation for my belief.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car false damage claim

I rented a car from Enterprise Rental in December of 2018 while my vehicle was in the body shop. When renting the car after the initial walk around I reported the some damage to the driver's side door and a mud flap. The rental was returned in January of 2019. During the return walk around the employees said something about the door damage and I told him it was there when I rented it. The driver's side door damage did not get noted and so now they are wanting me to pay for damage. I have talked to several different people with enterprise and I have not gotten anywhere. The last person I talked to I told them I did not do the damage and they need to look into their employees at the office I rented the car from. I just received a call from my insurance and now they are trying to file with my insurance. I told my insurance to not pay it. How can Enterprise charge me when I had nothing to do with this damage? They should not be able to file a claim on my insurance or file this on my credit. I do not care if they put me on their do not rent list. Why would I ever want to rent from them again!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car false damage claim

I rented a car June 3rd. Rental Agreement number 5Z07PS. I had the Enterprise representative inspect the vehicle on pickup for preexisting damage and it was inspected by the area manager Aaron Chambliss on delivery. There was absolutely no damage to the car that occurred under my possession of this vehicle. The car was checked in after being looked over and I was told everything looked good and there was nothing further required of me. I turned in keys to Aaron and then he called their branch Shuttle driver to come pick me up to give me ride to my final destination a couple miles up the road. I received on 6/13/19 by postal mail a notice of a damage claim that had been open up my Enterprise dated 6/6/19 Claim #[protected]. I immediately called the Damage Recovery Unit to tell them there is some mistake or understanding here and I had not damage the vehicle. They said there was reported damage to hood, roof, and windshield. I replied: telling them there was not when I had the car and that this is a mistake or fraudulent claim. They said they would note the claim. I then called both branches (pickup and drop off) and spoke to the branch manager Erin Kwaske of Angola IN and another representative of Grand Rapids, MI. Erin stated their branch had no record or recollection of any damage to the vehicle (even though your Damage Recovery Unit told me that the Angola IN branch was the branch that opened / filed the claim). The Grand Rapids representative told me he had no information or record of damage and that he would take to the area manager to see if he could get me any more information. I am very upset with what has transpired here, not to mention the time it has taken for me to dispute this bogus claim. I expect for someone to contact me with proof this claim has been closed and whoever opened it under my name to be reprimanded. I called back your Damage Recovery Unit and told them to the same effect of what has been communicated here. Adriana Extension 4720 of the Damage Recovery Unit told me the claim hold and I could ignore the claim letter where it stated I should contact my insurance company and/or credit card company to report this claim.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental/discrimination

I have rented for Enterprise for many years but on 5/21/2019. I called at 5:55 stating I was a minute away. I arrived at 5:56 - Approx. 6:00 they began locking the office doors and the lady asked for my license after 2 minutes asked me to follow her outside. Normally, I walk with the rep around the car look at the gas tank and the mileage to verify its accurate but this time she jumps in the driver seat, closes the door and locks it. She tells me from the window to walk around the car and do a walkthru so I do - she had me stand outside the car until she opens the door and came out. She hands me a handheld computer and tells me - the deposit amount and to sign the documents. I said before I sign the insurance is covered through our corporate account. She said yes its there - I sign the first time then she takes it to the next screen and says sign both places and make sure you don't steal the car (caught me off guard) I said "steal the car" she said yes - "others like you" think full coverage means to keep the car and don't return it since its covered… I said - You are saying - I will steal the car? She said - oh yes - that is part of our policy we have to tell you not to steal the car….. I said that's the first I have heard this since I have been renting from enterprise for over 20 years. She said now they want us to tell you not to steal the care and make sure you return it. - I said that is offensive - I cannot believe you are telling me this… She said yes I am just doing my job. I signed as fast as I could to get away from her - she took the computer and ran behind the building's back door (we were in the front)

I was so offended but asked some colleagues to see if they are being told the same thing - they all said NO NEVER - Not only am I OFFENDED - I am appalled!

Enterprise Rent-A-Car unsafe car rented by enterprise in dublin.

I rented a VW Golf in Dublin from Enterprise. I left the lot and had driven less than 6km on when it started to run rough and smoke started to come from under the enginehood.
I pulled over immediately and called Enterprise right away. I had not put any fuel in the car and had sustained no external damage to the car. I went with the tow truck back to Enterprise. When I arrived they told me I must have damaged the car! They had not examined the car yet. They said they had no other cars to rent. I could find no other cars to rent on short notice. Thus encurred the loss of an expensive holiday deposit. I have received an email from Enterprise in USA saying I will soon get a bill ( no description of damage or cost.) If they I do not pay the amount in the bill within seven days they will launch legal proceedings.
I was put at risk by Enterprise renting an unsafe vehicle. I have experienced a financial loss because the vehilcle was NOT safe to drive.
I expect
- written appology
- reimbursement for my financial loss
- full reimbursement of all rental costs

I look forward to your response.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car discriminatory customer service

I have never before experienced a national business that condones racist behavior by a branch manager. Not only was I denied the car that was reserved by my insurance company but the neo nazi manager Ben Paige threatened to call the police if I did not leave even though all I wanted was a corpaoratw number where I could complain about the racist comment that was spoken to my face. A young white blonde haired and blue eyed man told me a middle ages bu racial man that he would "never" rent to someone like me...? What does that mean / when Ben Paige said this to me he said it with obvious racial implications. The re tsk company enterprise is fostering a racist atmosphere by employing people with racist views - racist attitudes- and a racist history in this very small town . Racism is alive and well at Enterprise Rent A Car. Thanks a lot Ben Paige!NOT

I will continue to rant about the discriminatory treatment I received by “Ben Paige” at enterprise rent a car despite the threats to sue me and despite the threats to call the police...I was discriminated against and I will not let it go so [censored] off

I was blatantly discriminated against by the branch manger of enterprise Rent a car in casa grande AZ. The branch manger Benjamin Paige refuses to even treat me like a human being and instead pulled one of those things wheee he did something wrong and then threatens to call the cops on me once I was trying to complain about what he said. This is the most racist encounter I have ever experienced in my life and I'm sure that a true racist like benjamin Paige at enterprise renta Car will show his true colors again. It's only a matter of time.

This branch manger is letting his racist views and opinions get in the way of legitimate business operations at Enterprise Rent A Car in casa grande az. His name is " Ben Paige " and he must think he can do what ever he wants and get away with it well not this time I'm going to keep complaining about it u til everyone knows just how rotten of a person he really is and he should be in no position of customer service or have any authority over anyone or anything. Enterprise must be hiring their brand he manager roghtboutta the KKK these days . SMH

Update by D. G. 3019
May 05, 2019 12:31 pm EDT

Anytime a company hires someone who is a racist and allows that person to make business decisions on their behalf based on those racist views it will inevitably backfire. So is the example of enterprise hiring Mr. Benjamin Paige as a branch manager in charge of customer service. This young kLansmen has the authority to deny service to anyone based on their outward appearance and ethnic background. He is even bold enough to verbally discriminate against me in his explanation of why he refused to accept my valid form of payment used at that location before he was in charge. I was shocked that he could be so bold and I'm sure it's because he fears no repercusions from the company that probably looks upon these types of things favorably behind closed doors. We all know these types of companies are out there and I can assure you that enterprise renta car in casa grande az is one of them //// [censored] you ben!

Update by D. G. 3019
May 05, 2019 9:33 pm EDT

I found out today from my insurance agent that Ben Paige has me put on the do not rent list at enterprise because I exposed him for the racist neo nazi trash that he really is. Racism is alive and well at enterprise renta a Car in casa grande az. He refused to accept my valid form of payment based on the way I look and he also verbally discriminated against me when he said that he would never rent to a person like me ( bi racial). After making a complaint to the corporate office about his overtly racist customer service I wa conatced by a "resolution team" from enterprise telling me that no one has ever complained about this employee before. Is that what theyvell everyone? This man should be fired and the company should be held liable for employing such a racist to handle any position of responsibility.

Update by D. G. 3019
May 06, 2019 9:51 am EDT

The fact that this young man (Ben Paige) was able to deny me service even though I was a perfectly legitimate customer who has frequented that same location in the past... points to nothing other than discrimination when you factor in the other fact that he told me to face he would never rent to someone like me. I may look differently than all the white business men in suits but I know that his decision was based on his personal dislike for bi racial minorities. When I wanted to make a complaint right away he went through the whole get out before I call the police thing that all white people do when they see someone who isn't white defying their racist expectations. This young man should be publicly shamed and or terminated from his position of responsibility within that company. However if a company promotes that type of behavior then they will do as they have done which is deny deny deny. Racism lives at enterprise.

Update by D. G. 3019
May 06, 2019 11:31 am EDT

I have never ever run into any type of business that employs a person like "Benjamin Paige" to be a branch manager. This person went out of his way to be the rudest most offensive and unhelpful person I have ever experienced in any kind of position where customer satisfaction is supposedly important. I have come to the conclusion that he can do what he wants to who ever he wants and get away with it even if it is against the law . Enterprise Rent A Car must promote this type of behavior because they employ a team of people to monitor the internet and dispute any accusations or to pretend that they are interested in resolving your issue. It's a bunch of BS when they have people like "Ben Paige" making customers feel like they have been blatantly discriminated against in action and word.

Update by D. G. 3019
May 06, 2019 11:44 am EDT

How in the world Enterprise allowed someone like Ben Paige to become responsible for helping customers is beyond me. This person obviously has personal issues with people of color and or any ethnic minorities. Not only were his actions racially charged but his choice of words only confirms that his hatred for bi racial people preceds his customer service duties. How can someone pick and choose who they will provide service to based on their own personal agenda. If it was a family owned mom and pop shop I could understand this type of thing happening but Enterprise Rent A Car is a international company and they still not only employ a racist pos like Ben Paige but they stand behind his race based business decisions and until someone has the nerve to admit that he was wrong I will complain as much as I can.

I had given credit to your comments concerning Ben Paige until you recently included the phrase "Like most white people do" … To me, it sounds as though you have the problem with people who aren't your same skin color. I'm white and I don't appreciate comments of the such.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car racist customer service

I was blatantly discriminated against at this location by the branch manager "Benjamin Paige" who refused to accept my valid credit card. When I questioned him as to why I was being treated this way he kicked me out of the office and threatened to call the cops on me (an empty threat - because I had committed no crime) he rescued to give me a number I could call to complain about him telling me that he refuses to rent to "people like me" as a bi racial person when a blond haired and blue eyed white man says this to me - I consider it to be a racist remark. I guess Ben can get away with things like this because he has a history in this town of being a racist now.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car customer service + racism

I was discriminated against by branch manager Benjamin page in the Cassa grande Arizona enterprise Rent-A-Car location. I have never experienced such blatant racism in this day and age and I'm furious that someone is in any position is customer service. The level of discrimination that I believe I experienced would be enough to bring to a court of law if I was a litigating person. I am more interested in knowing that the people responsible for these behaviors have been reprimanded.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car false damage claim

On Saturday March 23, I dropped my car off at Caliber Collision to be repaired. I requested that the insurance use Enterprise instead of Hertz because we have rented there in the past and they were great. I was brough a car by a girl from Enterprise the same day. We did the walk around and I took the car. The employee stated if I didn't like the car, I could get something else. From the minute I drove it, I knew it had been in some kind of accident. It was pulling hard to the right and the sensors were not working. I called the office the very next day to exchange it and I was told there were no cars in that price available and I could try back in a few days. My husband used the car to drive to and from work- less than 40 miles for the entire time we had it. Our car was ready early, so we dropped it at Caliber Collision on Friday afternoon March 29. They have an Enterprise satellite office and we were told we could just leave the keys. My deposit was refunded the same day the car was dropped off. I received a call from Matt on Tuesday April 2. He stated he was submitting a damage claim against me for "scratches to the roof". I adamantly denied any such scratches and asked why he was contacting me 4 days later. The car was never picked up from Caliber Collision until Monday April1 and it sat in their unsecured parking lot from Friday until Monday. Matt stated the scratches on the roof were noted on Monday afternoon. I recieved the first of 3 emails from Enterprise starting April 1 stating I would be contacted. The seconde email stated I had to submit an Incident report. I received a third email stating the same as the second to which I called and spoke to DRU on 4-8-19 to let them know the report and my statement was sent 3 days earlier. I was told to disregard the email and that I would be contacted in 2 weeks to let me know of your decision. I received an email from Mac on Wednesday April 17 and when I called him back I was sent to voicemail. My husband called Mac on Thursday and was told I owe $1100.00 for the damages and it was already repaired. Mac also stated that it was not just the roof, but they included scratches to the hood and trunk as well. I was NEVER even given a copy of my rental agreement, a copy of the report filed against me by Matt and a copy of the estimate of damages. It was repaired without even a consent or estimate to look at. Mac also stated he called and spoke to the guys at Caliber Collision where they have drop off and pick up service. I spoke to Matt the manager and Zach at Caliber and they stated they were never contacted by ANY representatives from Enterprise. They also told me that the written agreement between Enterprise and Caliber states that they are not allowed to store the rental cars in the secured parking lot where they have cameras in case that a car needs to be picked up by an employee of Enterprise after hours. The rental car in question was sitting in that car lot from Friday to Monday. it is a high traffic area in a public lot. I am extremely upset to be accused of damaging this car and disgusted at how it is being handled. I work as a nurse to advocate for patients but who is helping me?

Enterprise Rent-A-Car chip in the windshield, above the rear view mirror

when checking in the car they noticed a chip in the windshield above the mirror...
i wasn't aware of it and do not recall any time while driving the car that it was there..
the notice of the chip was not found until i returned the car on 3/11/19 at the phoenix international airport. totally unaware of this condition. no time while driving was there any indicating factors, sounds, or any physical action that would alert me of any type of incident occurring.. bottom line totally unaware of this issue until i returned the car...if i had known during the time i had the car, i would have contacted enterprise immediately.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car locksmith fee

This concerns Rental Agreement # 579436 on March 14, 2019 which started in Fort Lauderdale.

When I was inspecting the car, the Enterprise agent had deposited the key fob in the car and while I was signing the papers outside, somehow, the drivers door closed and I was locked out before having set foot inside. A locksmith was called and I was informed there would be a $25 charge.
I am asking for a refund based on the fact that the agent should not have left the key in the car without my being inside given the new safety devices built into the key fob. Enterprise admitted this had never happened before then they should acknowledge their procedure was faulty.

I sent an email to the Enterprise office on 3/20/19 saying essentially the same thing but I have not received a reply.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car claims department

On March 8, 2019, I received an email from my Geico abouta claim that was filed. I was confused. I called and was told this was due to a rental in a Chevy camaro (I'm 54 and a lover of SUV's and Cadillacs) in Florida in December 13th 2018. I wasn't in FL.I was in Pittsburgh on business where I rented a car from Alamo Nd my car was parked at LaGuardia because I live in CT There was obviously no way that I could be listed as the insured responsible party with a name Of a driver that I do not know nor ever heard of. More investigation I found the renter has the same last name as me, is a relative but has no affiliation with my address in Connecticut, has never been on my insurance policy, and did not give anyone my info.It is now March 21st, no adjustments have been made, I am a long customer of enterprise and my reputation is at stake, I will need to rent for business soon, I am afraid my insurance premium is going to go up and I am downright furious that no one as taken off of my insurance and my name off of the enterprise claim as well. If this is not completed by the end of business tomorrow, I will be suing enterprise, State Farm Nd Geico for wasted time, undue stress and aggravation, and stolen identity, false claims.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car rental car

I returned my rental car to the Waterloo, IA Enterprise location shortly after 12:45 P.M. on February 27th during normal business hours. The weather was clear and sunny, and it seemed to be a slower time of day as I saw several Enterprise employees standing in the lobby. I witnessed Enterprise representative, K, perform a complete 360 degree walk-around inspection of the Nissan Sentra I rented. After completing the inspection, K said everything checked the same as when the vehicle was rented out to me (on February 19th, 2019).

The rental agreement #4WTQPZ was closed on February 27, 2019 at 12:59 P.M. in front of myself and Enterprise representative K (inspector of returned vehicle), R (branch manager), and Enterprise drivers. No damage was acknowledged by any representative during checkout. Possession of Enterprise's Nissan Sentra was transferred to Enterprise driver, C, along with the keys for my returned vehicle.

The Enterprise driver, C, drove me to my home, approximately a 25 mile trip. He dropped me off at my home and drove the same Nissan Sentra back to the Waterloo Enterprise location. No damage was on the vehicle at this time and none was acknowledged by the Enterprise driver.

They sent me an email on March 2nd stating there was damage on the vehicle and to talk with my insurance. I am not sure what to do, since I didn't damage the vehicle and the Enterprise rep said everything was fine. I will definitely try to fight this however I can, though.
Other renters: find a different company to rent from and make sure to take before and after pics and maybe even video record your car inspections.
