This is an update of previous reviews for this same company where a claim was submitted LAST AUGUST 2025 (over six months ago)!
A brief recap:
- All documents sent...twice!
- Alleged "senior managers" directed me to three websites, all of which were set to wire money to THEM . Wired over $3,000 USD TO them that, thankfully, my bank stopped out of suspicion of a scam. Economy Bookings blamed it on a "glitch" in the system and wanted me to try again! I refused for cautionary reasons!
- They acknowledged the $787 USD claim was owed, but offer no secure way of receiving it! Alternative was to send my banking information via email...NOT SECURE!
- Every time I write here I get the same basic scripted response asking for details and contact information They've had all for over 6 months!
- If this is a scam, it's clear. If not, what is demonstrated is a poor reimbursement system being run by incompetents! They even challenged me to take them to small claims claims court knowing that, since they are in Latvia with no physical US presence, there is no viable recourse when there is a problem! I don't believe they should be able to do business in the US where there is no way to force them into fair business practice!
Recommendation: Stay away. We just returned from a trip using reputable companies and it cost us less than this nightmare!!
