EconomyBookings.com the reservation was not done between economybookings and the supplier

I had a very bad experience when I rented a car via Economy Bookings in Dec 2017. I reserved a car via internet about three months before my vacations. I arrived in the picking up place nearby Madrid Barajas Airport and it turned out that EconomyBookings hadn´t booked the service with the vendor. I had my confirmation, but Economy Bookings confirmed to me without having received the confirmation from the supplier. I called EB and they treated me super bad. They promised they would refund what I had already paid (which they did after four months), but the point was that I had to pay the double of what I expected to pay because for the supplier I hadn´t reserved with anticipation, so of course the fee to rent the very same day without reservation is more expensive. All this, of course without mentioning all the time I spent calling again and again, because these people from EconomyBookings even dared hanging up the phone because I was of course angry (cinically a guy with indian accent told me "I´ll finish this call"). EconomyBookings.com car rental

RUN, DASH, SPRINT away from this company! Economybookings.com is pure SCAM from what I can tell. Not even a question.

I'm a mom trying to book a budget trip for my family and following an ad online, I called their number to inquire. They ask basically no questions during the booking or give you very little information on what the details are of your rental.

It sounded okay, so I booked. Within a few minutes I received a number of confirmation emails from them which looked HORRIFYING and totally NOT what had been discussed or that I had agreed to. Within 10 minutes of booking I had called them back to immediately cancel. The rep agreed but told me I would be charged a non-refundable cancellation fee of around $36-$39.

I explained that as a customer I should in no way be penalized or charged a fee for something I absolutely would NEVER have agreed to had the previous representative disclosed any one of the following pieces of information:

- The rental company I was booked through was called Rent-a-Wreck. Not your standard, reputable company I was expecting. The name alone makes me wonder if these are salvaged title vehicles, or what, I have no idea.

-There was a 600 mile mileage limit per weekly rental. I knew I would travel well over 600 miles on this trip so that never would have worked for me. I didn't even know anything other than unlimited mileage existed. These are pertinent questions a reputable company would confirm with you prior to booking.

- One confirmation email congratulated me on purchasing full coverage insurance on my rental. Absolutely no, not ever once even part of the conversation or pricing breakdown. My guess is this is where all the extra charges would come in at pickup time.

-A whole rundown of banking information and legal address info based in Latvia, etc. I'm not totally opposed to companies being based in other countries but it adds to the sketch on top of everything else.

Customer service is clearly a racket — they are accustomed to and know how to work the disgruntled customer wanting to cancel or complain. They quickly allow cancellation but with a fee. When told that's not acceptable, there is nothing they can do. No, there isn't a supervisor to speak with and support is not available at this time (ever).
They give you an email address to support which you are welcome to use — all of which go unanswered, even days and weeks later. They will leave you on hold for 12 minutes before hanging up on you. SO many "dropped" calls. I finally get through, give my name or booking number, am cut off mid-sentence and told they understand only to be put on hold and immediately disconnected. It's awesome.

EconomyBookings.com staff supervision and rental prices

I booked a 7 seater car which was quoted at just over £900 for a 13 day hire.
The confirmation and payment taken was double the amount and we called the call centre which is in Latvia to ask for refund.
We were first advised that they could refund the amount we hadn't asked for and then later told the car wasn't available.
The full refund was to be issued but would take 10 days, by which time meant cancelling our planned holiday and flights.
I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor to expedite the funds urgently but was refused this. The agent advised that there were no managers or supervisors there. I found this to be totally unacceptable and was now very angry whereby the agent hung up the call.
Not only did the agent refuse to give her name when asked in order to make the complaint about the inconvenience caused. She wanted to make her point instead of having any concern about the distress caused.
There has to be supervision at all times in any call centre handling large amounts of money and the public.

EconomyBookings.com be careful with booking through this website; rental car in california — overcharged!!

Be very careful what they are charging you for!
I rented a car which they were advertising at $11.84 per day with Dollar — I have rented cars before through Travelocity for as low as $7 per day. EconomyBooks does not give you a total until you've entered your credit card plus if you cancel within 48 hours (which mine was a last minute booking), they charge you $50. So I got my total for four (4) days $140, which I though being spring break, and picking up at the airport, that would be about right. Then when I printed my invoice, I noticed it's some foreign company doing business in U.S. The invoice does not say what it is you are paying for!

At the airport pickup from Dollar, they asked me if I wanted to prepay my fuel, to which I agreed.

When I dropped off the car, the Dollar rental car lady says I owe $39. I said I already paid for my fuel. She says it's not for the fuel, its for the taxes on the rental. Check check check to see if what you are paying is the total amount

Next time I will stick with Travelocity. from them, what you see is what you pay!

EconomyBookings.com rental car I reserved

I reserved a Nissan Maxima but I received a Ford Fusion. I was told I get a refund but you charged my credit card the full amount. thru Thifty Car Rental. On Monday December I made a reservation for a Nissan Maxima for December the sixteen thru the eighteen. but when I went to pick up the car. they gave me a Ford Fusion. I paid for a Premium car not a Ford Fusion. they said they over booked. I want a refund because a ford Fusion is a full size card. and the Nissan Maxima is a Premium car. My Name is James E. EconomyBookings.com terrible customer service

I made a booking yesterday with EconomyBookings for a car in Los Angeles. They confirmed my reservation with Right Cars and after I made the booking, I checked the reviews for Right Cars and they are totally negative. They do not respond to telephone calls, there is no shuttle to their office and everybody had trouble with them, so I telephoned EconomyBookings to tell them this and to cancel my reservation. They will not return my deposit!

EconomyBookings.com product and service

On the website I made a booking and it never said anything anywhere about cancellation fees. This is the reason I made the reservation just Incase I needed to change something. When I called the operator was nasty and ignorant. Made me feel bad and then hesitated every time I wanted to speak to
a supervisor. She said she is the supervisor and pretty much I m out of luck. Then she hung up on me. This company has a U.S. number to D.C and they are scamming people. This is unsat and sad. I will make sure everyone I know does not work with them.

EconomyBookings.com car rental

Booked a car through Economy Bookings and the amount they told me I would have to pay was not what my credit card was charged. It was more! So beware when you are booking a rental through this company. I tried to contact them about my rental and they just hang up on me. Donald Shoener, Booking # B17020679 I put in 2 complaints and it's been almost a month and no response. When I call the customer service number they hang up on me.

EconomyBookings.com overcharge of $290.62 for the reservation - do not use economybookings.com

Just had a unpleasant response from Karina (customer rep # 103) from Economy Bookings @ [protected] she just hung up on me.

I booked my reservation (B16424186) for $549.18 and Russell confirmed via email that this includes taxes and fees. Here is the link to my reservation:

However, the rental company charged me $290.62 more than that ($287.44+$352.36+$200) in July of 2017.

I've been trying to get my money back since then and its been unsuccessful.

I really hope, economy bookings helps me with my refund, but I am not sure if they will, at least based on my phone call with Karina today.

It seems that Economy bookings have their own pricing and the rental company has their own pricing which creates a disconnect in dollars you pay out of your pocket.

I am not going to use this website anymore. I used costco.com which was always great but one time I wanted to try this economy bookings and got trapped. Now I am going back to costco.com.

I book car through economy Bookings for boston, when we get car from advantage they charge extra charges, which is not explained when we book online book, Advantage Car rental charge me $ 223.00 extra after paying $ 70 dollar with Economic Booking. My booking no. WAD010B7AAD, Someone please help me get back my extra amount Adavnatage took from account, ... thanks

EconomyBookings.com rental car

Hi All,

Be really careful with this company. I just rented a car through this website, and I was supposed to pick it up today. Although when I went to take the car, it was not available and the car rental company wanted to provide me a worse car (that costs cheaper) so I did not accept. Since they did not have a similar car and did not want to give me a better car, they canceled my reservation, and told me to call economy bookings to have my money back.
I just called Economy Bookings in order to do that, and they do not want to refund me, they are saying is not their responsibility and there is nothing they can do about it and they will charge me the full amount (but I paid to Economy Bookings by credit card, and did not have what I paid for!). That's totally illegal!

EconomyBookings.com scammers

Please, read the reviews before renting cars from them. They look like scammers, so be careful.
O rented a car long before my trip but was forced to cancel everything that I had planned including the car. I contacted them and sent a couple of emails hoping that it would be enough.
They answered me in 2 days saying that they actually don't do the refunds.
I'm out of my money now and feeling robbed because I am sure it wasn't legal.

EconomyBookings.com full coverage request and customer service quality

While I had previously O.K. Experience with EconomyBookings, this time is very bad and hopefully before taking anything from them you will think twice.

I have taken as I wanted to be completely covered, "Full coverage" which seems fair by price and it protects me from any damage on the vehicle and as I was travelling to Croatia I wanted to have piece of mind. So this time I had scratch on vehicle, scratch itself was done while vehicle was parked, which I was not worried as I have "Full coverage", but that was not the case:

I have filled Full coverage request form at the mid of July 2017 with all requested documents, but there were no response nor even any confirmation email that I have filed an request which is very bad experience at first, but I didn't make any noise about it.. so I have waited for 15 days..

I have then send an email to some sort of "customer support" and they have responded to me Aug 2nd 2017, that I am missing some documents, while this was not true, I have attached documents again inside an email, which they, at the Aug 7th 2017, accepted, with next reply:

"After receiving all documents from partners side will be sent to our Insurance Department for further consideration of your request. Insurance Department will estimate the amount to be reimbursed, taking into account all conditions of insurance, types of damage, as well as the amount that was debited by the Rental Company."

First of all:
- there is no single note on their "terms" of "Full Coverage" that someone will be "thinking", if and how much they will reimburse you
- there is no single note on their terms of "Full Coverage" that this will need further investigation as i have already provided all requested documents and payslips.

But still, It does not matter much as they already responded and I am happy at least to hear some voice from them..

From that time, I have been sending email each week for update on my request, but there is NO SINGLE reply to my emails, there is no anyone to call as they don't provide customer service number - possible because same reason..

I suggest you think twice before taking anything from them, each service they offer I would say is scam. If you really need to go trough them, then don't take any insurance from them, don't take any services which they offer, it's better to get services if needed directly from renter.

PS. I will still wait for one month for response and reimbursement and if this does not happen, then I'll go with law suit.

EconomyBookings.com scam business

I booked a car through EconomyBookings.com website, they charged around 8 Euros as a down payment or insurance (I'm not sure). and when i went to car rental company (KEM - Cyprus) they coudn't find the booking on their system. I show them the booking and confermation email but they didn't cooperate and told me to contact the website, its not their problem and they can't do anything! I tried to call EconomyBookings many times, everytime they kept me on hold for long time and then hang up.

EconomyBookings.com car rental/car insurance

Rented a car and purchased insurance through economybookings.com while traveling in Spain. When we got to the rental office we found out that insurance we purchased is through economybooking and not through rental company. We were told that we had to pay a deposit of 600 Euros. At the time of return we had a flat tire and a few scratches on the car and rental company kept the money and said that we have to put a claim with economy booking for reimbursement. They took a month to review the claim even though all requested info was submitted and in the end denied the claim stating that rental company does not have record of any damages. Multiple phone calls were placed and every time we were told to send an email to customer service and none of the emails we sent were answered. Will be reporting them to BBB. Stay away!

EconomyBookings.com insurance sold fraudulently

They sold us insurance for a car in Mexico, which cost more than double the cost of the car rental, but when we got to the car dealership they told us that the insurance is not valid for them and that we needed to pay $2, 500 deposit instead of $100 deposit for an insured car and that it would cost us $350 to buy Collision Damage Waiver, Third Party Liability, Theft Protection, which was supposed to be included for free even if we had not bought the insurance. We tried to call the company to cancel the insurance but they wouldn't let us - this company is in Latvia and the customer care is useless, so we couldn't take the car. Much better to go to Car Rentals - they don't charge you until you pick up the car! This is a fraudulent company, please beware - we now have to involve lawyers and the fraud department for mis-sold goods!

EconomyBookings.com refund not given

I accidently paid for a higher insurance cover than I required, so I instantly cancelled it, today is 9 days later and we are no closer to getting the money returned I have telephoned everyday (Minimum of 20 minutes on hold) and every time I call to ask where my money is I get another lie, today I was told that I had been refunded on the 8th, three days before I made the initial booking. EconomyBookings.com car rental

I rented a car from them. It was not cheap. I had to cancel over one week before the pick-up and requested a refund.

Their cancelation policy says " If you cancel 48 hours or more prior to your pick up, you will be refunded minus the cancellation fee of 20.00 EUR." So I booked the car.

However, AFTER I paid and got the voucher it said no cancelations. I lost my money. Totally dishonest!

EconomyBookings.com car rental in mykonos, greece

Booking number: B61562173. We hired a car through Economybookings.com website for your Mykonos vacation. They debited EUR 307.15 from our credit card. When we arrived to the Mykonos, their agency Caldera told us that our our driving license is not valid and they did not provide us any car. Basically left us in the airport w/o a solution.Then we went to the other car rental agencies like advance, hertz, sixth, they all accepted our driving license. But of course we could only find a small car with a higher price as the result of this last minute situation. This was totally a loss-loss situation. We informed Economybookings about it and asked our money back but they refused to pay it due to the driving license issue for a car which we even havent seen. This is not our first time in europe and greece and never met such a case. The other agencies told us that this a common practice of Caldera when they dont have a car.Economybookings is not helping us within this process and we want our full money back. Can you pls help us about it and let other people know about this? Waiting for your support to get our money back from EconomyBookings.com.

EconomyBookings.com Car rental refund

I took a flight to Nashville on March 22, 2017 to see my children. Upon arriving at the airport, there was a small snafu with my credit card for supplying rental deposit. I covered and corrected this with my credit card company. Meanwhile, before being able to return to rent the car, (which I called to make sure it could be held until the next day) I was informed by my daughter that she had received a call that my husband had been rushed to the hospital back home in Washington. I spent most of the night at the airport waiting on a flight home. I wasn't able to fulfill the rental agreement, and have since been told by Economy Bookings that they do not refund FOR ANY REASON. I have a legitimate refund situation, but this fraudulent company is so bent on keeping money, no matter what, that I have no other course but to make sure everyone knows what a con this is.

I have tried to go through my credit card company to dispute but Economy Bookings has come back for their money again. And again, I will write my credit card company, Capital One. I want my refund. This was an unforeseen family emergency. I want $125.35 refunded to my credit card. I have a legitimate reason for not completing the rental agreement.

Me and my partner booked to hurt a car from economybooking and wen we got to the car hire firm they were closed so I called them to tell them that the place is closed so they booked us in got the next morning we got there didn't have the booking and the didn't even have any car there at all they took our money and we would like a refund please
