Delta Air Lines stolen items from checked bags

My husand and I were traveling home from Cabo San Lucas to Louisville, Ky on April 14 through ATL. I distinctly remember packing my travel set of make-up brushes in my suitcase. In fact, it stays packed as I have it just for travel. When we returned, it was missing. These were high end make-up brushes (Chanel, Laura Mercier). Value at least $125.00.

It seems as Delta have problems in Atlanta. A pair of flip flops worth not more than $35 were stolen from my checked luggage.

Delta Air Lines delta connecting flight practices

We were booked on 5/5 on Delta 2373. We had connections to Delta 1275. The flight arrived late (not due to weather or traffic). We rushed to our connecting flight, to arrive 10 minutes before departure time. We were informed by the gate agent that our seats had been released 5 minutes earlier (even though our connecting flight had touched down and was at its assigned gate).

Delta Air Lines standby rip off

Michah Wartell ripped me off. I was intending to purchase 2 year round standby unlimited tickets for $1500 each, total $3, 000. I gave him $200 to get access to see if it was real before giving him the full $3, 000. He refused to give me log in information or anything at all to confirm it was real. He stole my money and has not responded to return it. I filled a police report and they are doing a full investigation. All I wanted was my money back. But so be it, I will fight in court for it instead since he will not respond.

Thank you for posting this. I came across him on a Craigslist posting today. He had two companion passes listed at $500 each. He posted in Los Angeles but said he's in Atlanta. The number he is using is [protected]

He said he prefers apple pay, cash app, bitcoin or google pay. He can take zelle but it would go to his fiancee.

He said if we do apple pay it would be accepted on an ipad. Also, his name is Mike and and he blacked out the rest of the badge. If it weren't for this when I searched the photo I wouldn't have located this.

Simply take a look at how many Facebook Pages he has! And Instagram the same! And his burner cells and his over used ID that never changes but he becomes more and more sloppy as he tries to change his name or scratch off the Delta ID we all saw with black marker to make him self go by the name Mic 🙄🤷🏽‍♀️As said the more he lies and steal the more sloppy he gets and sloppiness leads to getting caught!

Hello

So we had the exact same issue and I would like to find a way to make court case about this, we went to the police and had report filed and they did an investigation and two month later came back with the police can’t find him etc… so I am willing to go the extra mile just because he has done this to more people than you could ever imagine, he cashed in so many Thousand would go to jail for a bit and then come out and do it again but if we all stick together make a legit case out of it and have Lawyers involved then it will become a serious Fraud case and we have a chance, we all have some sort of evidence receipt of the payments and his conversation with him as evidence so, who ever would like to join me in this Legal case then please contact me. I am sorry we all have to go threw this, I hope we get some justice soon.

Fare but all the guy did was put the money in his bag he did not give her the change and just waited for her to get out
It come to something when greed is so high in the cab company that even complaining to them makes you feel it is the norm and don't complain

Delta Air Lines misrepresented and unsupported travel insurance

Flew business to Denver from Seattle on December 11, 2016. Purchased "Travel Insuance" direclty from Delta.com during the ticketing process, expecting that I might have to change my flight, wanting to protect my employer from significant flight change fees.

Did change my flight over the phone with a Delta representative. Was immediatley told that she could not deal with insurance, that I'd have to make a claim with the insurance company. Didn't know the company name, nor how to make a claim.

Checked my credit card receipt and surprisingly found an expense titled "Travel Insurance" where the company name should be. Went to Delta.com to find out with whom I'd contracted (of course, I thought I'd contracted Delta!). Had to dig deep.

Found the company: Allianz Global Assistance. Tried to make a claim. Found that my reason for a flight change wasn't covered. Even though in their Website description, a copy of which I now have on my computer, should they change it, says: "Reimburses airline fees if you need to make a change to your flight itinerary." This is a an unqualified benefit.

This business practice misrepresents the service I'm buying, unnecessarily causing me and probably thousands of others to buy something that they can't use. Making a claim is unnecessarily difficult (sound familiar when dealing with insurance ploicies? The more difficult, the less likely that a company will have to pay a claim).

From my flying experience, Delta has gone a long way to improve the customer experience. However, this gross misrepresentation totally undermines that perception. Delta's customer service didn't respond to any of the above complaints, only said that I had to deal with the insurance carrier. They closed thier emails with "Thank you for flying Delta, " a slap in the face.

Delta Air Lines flight

Booked a Round Trip Ticket that cost me $600. I missed my first flight due to traffic and they refused to put me on another flight and made me buy a 2nd ticket ($875). On my return flight I got to the airport and they told me that my flight had been canceled because I had missed the first part of my round trip ticket.

After spending more than an hour on the phone with their customer service, who were not only unwilling to help but incredibly rude I asked to speak to a manager who was even more rude then the other associates. I told him that I would no longer buy tickets from them if they were not able to help me. They refused to refund the money spent on the ticket, claiming "There is nothing we can do". I had to purchase a new ticket at $700 (From them as they were the only flight going to my city that evening or I would have to wait till the next day for a flight home) that day in order to get home. So not only did they get my first ticket price of $600, but they got my second ticket of $875 and my 3rd ticket of $700.

Delta is a HORRIBLE company and I will personally never purchase a ticket from them again. There really should be a lawsuit against this company because they essentially stole my $600... or at least $300 as my second flight should have been refunded since they canceled it.

Delta Air Lines medallion customer service

I just booked a trip on Delta for January, 2017. I got a great price. I am a Million Miler and Gold Medallion. I attempted to select my seat only to find out that I won't get a seat assignment until after I check in. The new policy is that the "cheap seats" get the "left over" seats no matter your loyalty or Medallion status. This new policy coincides with the appointment of a new CEO. It appears that the new CEO has taken a page from (or studied under) Stephen Wolfe who implemented similar policies at the airlines where he was CEO. I stopped flying on any airline where Wolfe was CEO because customer loyalty meant nothing and the treatment of customers and employees was less than acceptable.

Always? I've been flying Delta for 26 years and this is the first time this has happened. A new CEO...coincidence? Spending thousands for enough flights IS LOYALTY. Wake up and smell the customer service.

Delta Air Lines Flight diverted and passengers abandoned

The true test of a company is not when things are running smoothly but when unusual situations arise and choices are made to resolve problems. Delta Airlines showed their inability to deal with a difficult situation during a flight from New Orleans to New York on Feb. 24, 2016. Faced with a storm system that was threatening travel in the Northeast corridor, Delta first chose to keep the passengers of flight DL5382 waiting for 4 hours then boarded, took off and subjected those passengers to a turbulent and potentially life threatening ride. The second bad choice was made when the flight was diverted to Harrisburg PA and Delta abandoned the passengers at midnight, in an unfamiliar city with no options but to wait for 1-1/2 hours, then board a bus for a 4 hour ride to La Guardia. This would keep these passengers traveling without food or sleep for 24 hours. Who decided this was a good idea?
My husband and I were passengers on this flight and I must tell you it was the worst travel experience of my life. Once we arrived in Harrisburg, Delta provided no personal representative to assist the passengers but simply made an announcement over the loudspeaker. I felt abandoned and paid the price to put us up in a hotel and take a train the next morning into New York. This trip cost me an additional $456.00, almost the cost of the round trip airfare for two. Delta will claim that they are not at fault because of the weather but they chose to put that plane in the air and subject its customers to a terrifying and uncomfortable travel experience.

Storms are not something an airline can control. And you were not abandoned . You were transported to another airport. You complain about being subjected to turbulence. Again, not something that an airline can control. It is not a pothole on the highway that can be filled in. Imagine, had you Delays happen when flying. If you can not plan to give yourself time for delays then you should not fly in my opinion.

Delta Air Lines horrible airline

If you have any problems with health be careful of flying with Delta. My father has serious medical conditions and we were suppose to go overseas to see a doctor. Delta just cant offer comfortable seats and medical help for those in need. Even though window seats were available Delta rudely refused to assign those seats to me and my father. I tried to explain that my father is very sick and we need the most comfortable seats. They just said that my fathers conditions does not make him special. I think that Delta should change their priority's. That company does not care about their customers at all. A rude manager yelled at me that it's not possible to give my father any special treatment while on board. She was rude, and I think that she shouldn't have a job like this. We decided to fly with other airlines. Well, that sort of attitude is unbelievable. Delta doesn't care about customers, especially about those with medical conditions. Horrible airline.

It is an aircraft and people pay premiums for window seats. If you needed a window seat for your poor sick dad, you should have paid the $15 when you booked for it. If you can afford to fly overseas to see a doctor you can afford to pay for the window seat.

During the NYC blizzard, their Customer Service message said something like, "Due to the number of weather-related cancellations, our customer care line is closed." Two days later, the corporate customer care number has a recording which says, "Due to a large volume of calls, we regret that we cannot speak to you now."

We flew Delta Airlines to Puerto Rico in Dec 2009. A baggage handler in NY made the business decision to leave our baby's car seat behind to then arrive the next day. The car seat arrived at our hotel after we had already checked out so we ended up having to pay out of our pocket to have the hotel ship the car seat back home to NY. We will never fly Delta Airlines again.

I wanted to transfer my accrued miles from my Delta Skymiles account to my sisters account. Alas what I thought was a FREE incentive was nothing but a scam to obtain more funds from the consumer. They want to charge per mile transferred? Was under the impression these were free miles to utilize as I wish. But hey you can use your miles to get uninteresting magazines that you would never purchase.

Flight Attendants were extremely rude and confrontational. Also, I will tell everyone that any kind of a friendly banter conversation is a affront to the attendants. I think they are overworked and probably of a low intellect and do not know how to converse with customers. I will never fly Delta again - unless that is the only way to get where I want to go. I submitted a complaint on the Delta web site. I never received a reply.

I had to cancel a first class airline ticket, because my husband is going in for open heart surgery. They will not refund my money, and I have to use the ticket by next January. I had to cancel with another airline, and was offered my refund as soon as I sent them the doctor's proof of surgery. This is VERY POOR BUSINESS, .

I purchased a ticket on Delta lasat year for March travel but could not take the trip. A month ago I still had a $$ credit with Delta when I checked on possibly taking atrip. Today - no one at Delta can even find my ticket credit. I even tried 3 separate phone calls but no one could find my credit. I was told it expires after one year. Makes no sense becasue I made the purchase in Feb of 07 and the credit was still there about 4-6 weeks ago.

Delta Air Lines non-refundable

I booked a ticket through Delta for my friend on 12/26/2014. I received an email confirmation of the reservation and my credit card was charged. I noticed that the name was misspelled slightly. I waited about a week to call to see if I could get it changed. When I called I spoke with the agent and gave her the confirmation number. The Agent told me that my travel agent cancelled the flight. I told her this was impossible because I didn't have a travel agent book it, I booked it through Delta on the phone. She said that she could change the name but I had to have my travel agent reinstate the reservation. I asked to speak with a supervisor I got a man who was extremely polite and helpful.

He informed me that Air France who was responsible for one leg of the flight, rejected my reservation which canceled the entire reservation. This was a really big surprise to me because I was never notified, nor was money refunded to my credit card. He said that he would take care of it. After about 45 minutes he said that it was taken care of but I should call back the next morning just to make sure.

I called the next morning and waited 20 minutes to speak with an agent. I told the agent that I just needed to verify if the reservation when through. She said let me check on that and put me on hold for a few minutes. She came back and said we are having a manager look into it. After 15 more minutes she comes back on and says that a manager was checking with Air Ukraine who was responsible for a different leg of the flight and that it would be only two or three minutes. After another 15 minutes I finally realized that the problem still wasn't taken care of. I hung up and called another number.

After another twenty minutes of waiting, I got put on hold by the representative while she fetched her supervisor. This led to another 20 minute long wait. When the supervisor got on the phone I told her how unhappy I was, and that I just wanted a refund because "No valid ticket" had been issued. She immediately hung up on me. So once again I called back.

I had another 40 minute wait until I could talk to a supervisor. About 35 minutes into the wait I get an email with my reservation confirmation. When the supervisor comes on, I tell him the story and tell him I just want a refund. He asks for the confirmation number off the email that I just received. When he enters it, nothing comes up. There is no reservation with that confirmation number. I give him the old confirmation number from the flight that was canceled, and up comes the reservation. He says its all good and the problem has been solved. I point out that this is the second time I have heard that and the most recent confirmation number didn't bring anything up. I told him I can't make plans and neither can my friend if we can't be sure that the flight will actually be honored. I just tell him I will go with another airline and I want a refund.

He tells me it is a non-refundable ticket and I cannot get a refund. I point out that Delta is the one that canceled the flight. He said it doesn't matter it is non-refundable. This is the third international ticket I have bought from Delta in the past 6 months. I have never had this many problems. I went ahead and bought a ticket on a different airline. I am out 1200 dollars but Delta will never ever get another cent from me.

I have the worst experience with an airline with DELTA too. But probably yours is worse. I have a flight 10/23 flt 924 to Indianapolis. I confirmed 10/22 afternoon but they cancelled before 10/22 midnight. I have a message that the flight was delayed or cancelled and that I have to go to the airport 3 hrs before to schedule my flight with the airport assistant. They were lying as the flight was on time. I checked the flight status and actually went to the airport. The flight was on time but they just cancelled my flight and gave to somebody. Why? My only suspicion was because my ticket cost less than half the price yesterday.

So here it is - they cancelled my reservation, lied about the flight being cancelled or delayed and then wanted to make me suffer more by wasting my time going to the airport 3 hrs before the flight! I cannot believe that a business can act like this and get away with it.

Delta Air Lines security staff

when trying to fly back home to Hawaii after a nice few days in San Francisco with family, my mom and I (japanese-americans) were subject to a "random" security check with 3 other Japanese native salarymen. We were told to sit down as everyone else who went though security check got to openly stare at us! It was as if we were being shamed for being Japanese or even part Japanese! And the 3 japanese salarymen, who wouldn't speak english, were obviously confused as to what was going on and tried to ask. One of the security people THREATENED to TASE THEM AND BEAT THEM. The salarymen didn't do anything or provoke them in ANY WAY. I will NEVER fly delta ever again after this terrible experience with a terribly racist and shame-happy staff, and I happily made sure to contact all my friends and family about this experience. Delta, do you REALLY think that a small teenage girl and her mother are terrorists!? I will never forget this experience because in one second I went from being just a person trying to get back home to being treated like a CRIMINAL. It was embarrassing and inhumane.

Delta Air Lines non-compliance with iata/ eu rules

One of our professors had a confirmed air ticket to fly from Los Angeles to Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia on KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on March 31, 2013. Going to the airport, he was informed by Delta Airlines who handle KLM flights from Los Angeles that the connecting flight from Amsterdam to Tbilisi has been cancelled, and since there were no other available flights, he had to come back on April 3. On April 3, he was informed by Delta that due to backlog the flight from Amsterdam to Tbilisi was full, and he had to come back on April 5. On April 5 Delta agent told the professor that again the flight was full due to backlog, so KLM has agreed to refund his full fare to the travel agent, so that he can buy a new ticket on another airline. To April 9 no refund was received by the travel agent, and on that date the agent was informed that the first flight would be on April 19, take it or leave it. A complaint was lodged with KLM Customer Service requesting compensation for flight delay/cancellation as per their advertised policy on their own website. We were informed that Delta Airlines will deal with the matter. For the past 10 months all communications with KLM and Delta have been completely ignored.

Delta Air Lines delta skymiles deceptive practices

Airline passengers should know that when you book a flight with delta airlines through a travel agent or third party such as a cruise line, that delta skymiles may not give you the mileage that you actually travel. you are only guaranteed full mileage if you book directly thru delta. on a recent flight from tampa to detroit which is actually over 900 miles, I was given credit for 246 miles. on a flight from atlanta to tampa which is actually over 400 miles, I was given credit for 102 miles. on a flight from detroit to amsterdam I was given credit for 985 miles yet on the return flight from amsterdam to atlanta I was given credit for 4, 401 miles. I don't know if other airlines are involved with this deceptive practice or if this is another way for delta to take advantage of their passengers. the above information has been verified by a delta skymiles representative on 12/13/2013. if you have a choice, try another airline.

Delta Air Lines delayed baggage

My son's bag was lost on a flight from Prague on Air France. We have contacted Air France (handled by Delta out of Atlanta) each of the last three days and have been given different and inconsistent answers about where the bag is and when it will be delivered to us here in New York. I just spoke to Mary at the Delta Atlanta baggage handling hotline who, when specifically and directly asked, refused to provide me with her employee number or her supervisor's name or other information to identify this interaction (time was about 3:50 PM Eastern). She advised me to contact Delta / Air France at JFK but refused to provide me with any number or contact name to actually do that. Thanks Mary! You have restored my faith in the inability of an airline to have even a shred of useful information when things go wrong. Way to go Delta, and Air France.

That's nothing..Just fly them some more and they will sell out planes and kick you off..They won't hold a seat for you if you change planes and the plane you arrive in is a little late..They loose bags or send them to the wrong places..They cancel flights because they don't have enough planes if one breaks down...And break downs are many..One of my flights was delayed 4 hours to replace a winshield they had no other planes..Once it was a bad tire it took 5 hours to replace a tire..I have been stuck in Atlanta 3 times...Just a great Airline...NOT

Delta Air Lines delta airlines - lisa gordon georgia & mississippi complaints & reviews - con artisit selling delta companion pass

Below is Related to a SCAM / SPOOF problem I had with a person
Lisa Gordon
407 West Hills Blvd
Jackson, Mississippi MS
[protected] or [protected]

I posted on CL that I would be willing to pay for travel if anyone had tickets or miles to sell me

I was contacted by Lisa Gordon phone number [protected] [protected] the next day who was wispering and said she was on her lunch break and works for Delta airlines and could sell me 5 tickets round trip for 800.00 under their companion pass program. She said she would be doing it under her personal employee discount program so I had to pay her directly as she had to lay out the money personally to book it.

She said it cost her 25.00 to book each ticket and the rest she would keep for herself using her points or employee discounts. She asked for all the money upfront via western union which I told her was not possible and we talked on the the phone personally and text back and forth for a few hous about before agreeing on 350.00 up front and the rest when I got the tickets in my hand.

I offered to drive to Jackson from Atlanta to get the tickets and pay personally but she refused that idea.

After I sent the 350.00 she said she was working on priinting the tickets and very believably asked me for flight preferences etc. She sent me a text picture of what looked like my ticket at first look and I was happy and relieved to get something concrete finallly.

She then told me that she could help me with car rental and hotel also under their reward program. I could get a car rental for my entire trip and hotel stays and she quoted me a price she could take for that extra service. It of course was an extremely fair price and I accepted.

At the end of all day texting and calling back and forth she said she was "clocking out" and going to USPS to mail me the package which contained my flight tickets, rental car, hotel and meal vouchers and that I needed to pay the balance by morning.

She sent the second picture at that time of what looked like a USPS filled out express form with her name and address and mine making it look like the package was sent to me that night. She then texted me for a few hours about how upset she was that I would not pay her immediately the balance of the money and insisted that I pay by morning or she would cancel everything.

She said many times she did not want to get fired over "helping me" . I said I would be happy to pay with I got 100% firm verifyable proof the tickets were booked - I asked if I could call into customer service and verify the booking and she said that would get her fired.

The second picture of the shipping receipt did not contain the tracking number or proof of payment - just the filled out information on the form and I did ask her several times for tracking again for validity.

She was fairly well spoken on the phone and really had her game down - she pre looked up hotel information before I talked with her and as she "sold me" on hotel packages did know a little about where i wanted to go and stay making it seem very believable. TEXTING she wrote in terrible broken english which was the first and immediate GUARD UP I had that this was a scam - I just couldn't see any real Delta representative writing that poorly.

Laying in bed later that night my husband and I were looking at the two images she sent me that day - first the delta ticket with my name on it and the second the USPS Express form. The ticket at closer look was an exact duplicate of one we found on google images - same gate, same flight, same confirmation number - exactly the same. Just the name, date and flight number and departure time changed. All else exactly like the one from google images. THEN I really knew this was a total scam.

We texting more that night about her demands for payment and my insisting on concrete evidence leaving it for the night. She said the stress and hassle was not worth it and she just wanted to refund the entire transaction and cancel - which of course she knew I didn'nt want to do.

This morning she contact me again - all via text to say she was off that day but could get some more proof from a friend there and was willing to send me her badge picture - so playing along I did send. The badge picture she sent was just a generic back side of a luggage tag looking "badge" that just said Delta Crew - no name or anything.

I am out 350.00 western union fee of 27.00 and learning lesson - not to mention getting my hopes up for a trip that really REALLY meant a lot to me just to have it crushed.

I hope this helps someone else not get taken for a ride - if its too good to be true, it probably IS just that.

Delta Air Lines cancellation fee

Just a quick note on my recent experience with Delta Skymiles Cruises. Our group of friends booked a cruise through this organization about 9 months before our cruise. All went well until unexpected surgery/recovery made it necessary to cancel my reservation...at which point i found out that there would be a $100 cancellation free from Skymiles Cruises, even though there was no fee from the cruiseline (still outside the penalty timing). Notification of this fee was apparently on the agreement, but when I went to find it, it was obscure and certainly not clear that this fee would be imposed regardless of time before the cruise. Even my Diamond medallion/Million Miler status with Delta didn't help. In this case, we would have clearly been better off booking directly with the cruiseline... The prices for the cruise were identical, but we were lured by the free "skymiles" offered. Live and learn...never again.

I have been trying to book a cruise on Delta Sky Miles to no avail due to the fact they refuse to give me the miles they advertise. I refuse to book unless they do what they say they will..Probably will never use them again.
