I booked the iPhone 17 through Croma's Vasant Kunj. New Delhi store (Ambience mall) on 19th Nov 2025 with a pre-booking amount of Rs.2,000 with the assurance that once the device arrives in-store, I will receive an instant cashback of Rs.6,000 through ICICI bank card. On all orders booked before 22nd Nov the existing ICICI bank discount of Rs 6000/- would still be applicable. However, on 23rd November I received a call at 17.26 hours from Harsh Verma from Croma who called me to collect my device from the store. However, he categorically stated that the discount of Rs 6000/- on ICICI Bank credit cards cannot be given as Apple has withdrawn the offer., they said they will not continue to provide the Rs.6,000 discount. When reminded that the offer was effective from 22nd November he simply refused to listen and sent me a discount screen shot of various banks on Apple Products. However, this was effective from Q1 2026. When the same was pointed out to him he did not agree and said it was effective immediately. They still did not agree so we asked them to share an official notification/intimation with us as written proof that they will not be able to extend the cashback offer. In this case they are mentioning the PDF which had revised prices and discount rates for Q1 2026. However, we are currently making the purchase in Q4 2025 and this new discount catalogue does not apply for 2025. We then asked the store manager for a written confirmation that the ICICI bank's cashback offer of Rs 6000/- is no longer valid and cannot pass on the same to us, despite the device being booked and the delivery being processed before 22nd November. The store manager Pushpendra Yadav curtly refused and went inside his cabin without providing any reason for the same. I am writing to understand why there is no assurance or official communication from Croma or the store manager for the rescinded offer. Apple India Saleswas spoken to and they communicated to us that the changes in their discount/cashback policies do not affect resellers like Croma.
However, the Croma Vasant Kunj store manager is refusing to accept and unwilling to provide any official or certified communication about the same. He refused to also show us any written communication received from Apple regarding the non-availability of the Rs 6000/- discount. Both the Store Manager Pushpender Yadav and the Sales Rep Harsh Verma told us clearly that we should accept what they are saying or forego the booking. Under my order id the discount of Rs 6000 is still showing for ICICI/HDFC/SBI and IDFC cards.
To sum it up both the above mentioned persons at Croma Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi 110070 were extremely evasive when questioned and could not give any satisfactory reply. and were unwilling to show us any formal communication received by them. They also point blank refused to send me an e-mail regarding their inability to offer the discount.
This is sheer harrassment of a customer. My account can be checked and it will show that I have purchased several high end products from Croma.
It is requested that a resolution to my complaint is done at the earliest as the outlet has point blank refused to deliver the phone.
