I stopped by the branch of BOA at 29 Water St New York NY 10004. I spoke to Nafiue Muksit and asked about opening IRA account. He said sure and made appointment for me for the call back. He said that IRA account can be opened via phone. It turned out that IRA account can only be opened by in-person appointment. Nafiue Muksit has a title of Senior Banker at BOA. Question: if Senior Banker of BOA doesnt have basic information about opening basic accounts - how he got this position at all?
