NetSpend my money

Hi my name is david jackson and I was writing to know I made a claim cause my card was stolen on the august 25th 2016 and that  bill money other personal stuff I was talking to the lady she said i  probably get some of it why its still under investigation I really hope so I really need it it was 600 + 710 =1310.00

NetSpend mailing cards to minors

My 13 year old received an offer from netspend in the mail, complete with card and account number. I immediately contacted netspend to gather information on how they came upon my child's information. I contacted the customer service line, which no one answered. I then contacted the decline offer/opt out line. At no time did I speak to a human, nor was I given the option to. I think it is unethical and disturbing that netspend would send a card to a child. Per their recording, a person must be 18 years old to activate the card. It seems like a person should also have to be 18 years old to request information about the same, and should not be so easily accessed "through partner sites. "

NetSpend netspend refer a friend program

I've had my netspend account for well over 2 years now. My direct deposit from work goes into this account as well as my tax refund deposit. I recently decided to try their refer a friend program and I referred my fiance. He lost his job back in june so every little bit counts in our household. We followed all of the directions that were required in the process but we never received the referral fee. That wasn't even my main problem though. My main problem is the extreme lack of customer service I received. They told lie after lie even when I gave them the proof of everything! Whenever I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor they would say their manager/supervisor wasn't available or say "ok" and put me on hold forever! Then there were those who would lie and say "the money will be in your account in an hour or less" which never happened. There was even a guy who said "the reason why the referral fee wasn't given is because he had (Keyword) an account with us that was opened in 2012" sayint the account was not inactive, lie! He even went on to say a fake email account that my fiance never had, and it sounded ridiculous. I read policies whenever I sign up for anything and even if he had a netspend account before he had not had one within the past 180 days per netspend refer a friend policy, "no rewards credited to either party if referred individual had a netspend card that was used for a value load, purchase, cash withdrawal, or incurred a balance inquiry fee at any time during the 180 calendar days before the day the $40.00 load requirement is fully met. " however, he had never had a netspend account prior to this and if he did, why would it allow him to go through all the steps in the referral process? That's something that would be a flaw on netspend's end, not mine nor his. No one wanted to credit our accounts, they told us that an escalation takes up to 2 busniess days for a response. Some conversations, when they got tired of me or him, they would ask us for the referral code and say "we reset your referral code, you will get the money in 2 business days" another lie! We were told so many different things that it blew my mind! We would talk to one customer service rep and tell them how we were unhappy with the previous rep and they would turn around and do the exact same thing! For a customer who's been with the company for over 2 years, where's the loyalty? Where's the respect? And you expect me to refer individuals to your business when I can't even get respect as an existing customer? That to me is beyond disappointment.. I'm frustrated! I was at work calling netspend for about 4 hours straight, being put on hold, arguing, fussing with individuals that should have assisted me as best as they could! I was about to give up until I saw the metabank logo on the bottom of their website. I clicked it and called their customer service number. The woman told me to call netspend so I told her that no one was helping me and she asked me what was wrong. At this point I didn't want to fuss or argue, I was worn out and I explained everything to her. She reached out to a manager and told them what I told her. About a half hour later, I got an unknown phone call (I'm guessing because they don't want anyone to contact them) and the issue was finally resolved. I should not have to go through that. I am very upset, my fiance was even more upset for me. This took 4 hours out of my office time at work to try to get resolved, this means I have to work late... Thanks a lot netspend.. And believe me, I will share this until you put forth some type of new customer service regulations!

NetSpend netspend procedures are stupid when you dispute a transaction

On 03/31/2016 I was robbed I notified netspend and got claim # 2680937 I was advised I will receive a replacement card within 7-10 business days (Never received it) I called back to netspend to check the status of mty replacemnet card I was told 7-14 business days the 14th business day came still no card. I contacted netspend again and told them I still hadnt received my replacement card the representative argued that I will receive my replacement after I told him repeatedly that my mailman had then already ran and I do not have a card. Agent told me to wait the next day still no card. Hours later I get a msg saying their is something may be going wrong with your card. I called netspend back again talked to a agent and was told dont worry everything is fine this was on 04/14/2016 on 04/15/2016 I went to walmart and tried using my card and was advised that my card was reported lost/stolen and is blocked. I contact netspend and asked what was going on because I still hadnt received my replacement card and now have a block on my card I was then advised that netspend closed all my accounts associated with them due to them approving my dispute (Which I had a police report) and that I can no longer be a netspend member due to them having to refund me my money and was told I wasnt getting a replacement card and that netspend will send me a check in the mail and it will take 3-5 business days. So I ask for a supervisor the agent tell me their is no supervisors available (So unprofessional) and that I would just hjave to wait on my check. 04/18/2016 I called netspend again and spoke with a agent and was told o it will take 5-10business days for you to receive your check, 04/19/2016 I talked to another agent he advised me "o your check was just sent out today you can receive it within 3-5 business days, 04/20/2016 I talked to another agent, agent told me that their was no way they could when my check was mailed out and that I would have to wait 10 business days, so I hang up with that agent and spoke with another and was advised that my check was sent out 04/18/2016 and should be to me within 10business days so today 04/22/2016 I speak with a gaent she tel;l me my check was sent out 04/20/2016 and that it will receive my check 04/23/2016 I diont know what netspend got going on but I hate their service and that just sad they put ppl tghrough hell if they end up having to credit your account and none of the agents knows the correct information to give to the customer they want yopu to remember the year, yo social or card number, last deposit amount just to assist you I hate netspend only thing was good I got paid on wednesdays instead of friday

i am caught up in a netspend nightmare. I reported my card fraudulently used on July 29, 2016. Today is September 8, 2016 and I am no where near getting my refund. I was told what procedures that I had to do., I followed them to the letter. I even called to make sure that all correspondence was received. Now I am being told that they never received any correspondence. I have changed all of my direct deposits. You cannot get two people to tell you the same story no matter who is giving you the information or what position that they hold with the company. If you are reading this clearly you are having issues with a refund. If you are researching Netspend I advise you to run as quickly as you can in the opposite direction. Clearly, I am going to be out of my $1900.00. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY1

NetSpend prepaid card

Agree I think that if you have no personal experience with the card company then you should shut up.. I for one had very good credit never needed a prepaid anything until some low life stole my identity in illinois and I lived in iowa so I have been left to clean up the mess I have been a netspend customer for over 8 years and two months ago the company allowed a merchant to charge, me 1, 868 for charges that I never authorized in addition to that netspend never set up my text message alerts, or emails alerts after calling them over 22 times in the last 37 days a week before they should have my money refunded they closed my account and no one knows why I am not in a position to take that kind of a loss I have 3 children to support and I work hard to keep our heads above water I want my money back and I will not stop until I get it.. I never received any notice about my account being closed at all.. This is an attempt to play shady games and not fix the problem on there end and I am the wrong person to that to my children and I have been homless and I was abused for 4 years of my life and getting my life back on track is the one thing I must do and netspend is slowing me down I will stop at nothing until my funds are returned the rich and powerful have enough they wont keep my money and write me off and I dont care about the opinions of you other people who have no clue what it is like so shut up.. I have been trying to reach mr. Chuck harris president of netspend no surprise that no one cares to respond... I will be moving fwd in my fight to get my money back...

NetSpend dispute department/provisional credit bad customer service

Basically my card was stolen andvmoney took out of my account. Customer service keeps hanging up on me. When I so get thru they have 5 different stories.
Netspend promised provisional credit by today.
I was due to pay rent.
I am now being kicked out as we speak.
I am a single mother of 2 kids and now we are homeless
. My lawyer advise me to sue and that I have a very winnable case anyone want to sumbit to be apart of the lawsuit email me at

Corneilous Wheaton, active duty service member. This is unjustice! I was recently deployed and somehow my card was stolen and where I was deployed I had no communications or internet. I return home to see that not only was my card missing but all of the money on it was gone as well. I called Netspend and they are giving me the most unethical feedback. One agent said 10 days for provisional credit and one more said 20 days. I am outraged! This is totally unacceptable. If my money is not refunded to me by the 1st there will be a massive law suit coming their way. My contact number [protected].

my name is timothy Davis my card was stolen from my locker at work along with all my id, i have direct deposit and was paid 324.00 and so change I gave no one permission to use my card, I talked to some one from netspend on phone today about this problem and was told to send this letter to you about it, . MY INFO NUMBER IS [protected]. AND MY CLAM NUMBER is 2792701. I was told that I would get reinberted for my money it it important that I get this money back as to pay my rent. And that it would be on new card coming to me in the next 7 to 10days;. Thank ypou for your time and help

NetSpend bank account

I have banked with netspend for a year. Everything has been great, up until this last month. There were several discrepsncies on my last statement; i. E. Multiple charges from the same company for the same amount on the same day and a payment for $800 rather than the usual $80 I pay monthly for my credit card. I filed disputes and they closed my account! I have this account as my preference for my college refund deposits. I have made over $15, 000 worth of deposits into this account. It is very disappointing they would close my account. Supposedly a check with the balance I had in my account is supposed to be on its way, I have yet to see it.

NetSpend netspend card

So I bought a and my husband put 400.00 dallors on it so we could pay are bills and I went om line to register it and I could only get so far so I called customer support for help the man I talked to put in the information and so I thought that I was all good well when I went to pay my car payment it wouldn't go through now I have never had any problems with Netspend before I went to try and login on line so I could pay my bill and I couldn't get into my account at all so I called again this time a lady helped me and she give me a new password and of course I still couldn't get into the account she said that she would send me a new password in my email I never got an email from them and I decided to go to bed mind you I used it at family dallor so it was still working than the next day I figured that i would just take the money out and pay cash at the atm it wouldn't work and so I thought maybe it was the atm and than it happened again when I went out to dinner and tried to use by now I'm just mad so I call again so now my account is lock and not only that they charge for phone calls and I have to send prooff that I am who I say I am and so the guy saidbsome would call me that never happened so I called and now I'm pretty mad and the guy barley let me talk witch posses me off even more so I asked for a manager and I waited on the phone for a long time finally get someone to answer and he hangs up on me so I call back i finally get someone who knows what she is talking about and she told me that my email was not spelled right and I spelled it for the guy even so now it's been 3 days and I still cant get any money I can't believe that I have had to go through so much crap just to get money and I won't be able to even get any money till tomorrow wow this has been the worst and all they can say is sorry that doesn't pay my bills on tine and it won't cover the late feed or the time that I spent on the phone trying to get help this is unacceptable I'm the one paying in the end.

NetSpend locking my debit card after doing what I was told to

I have messed with these people for four days now. They said they needed an originally recipet from the merchant to give me my refund. Now I faxed them the original recipet. They said it would take 6-8 business hours so I called back yesterday Friday and spoke with a lady who said my card would be unlocked at 2pm and, it wasn't. Now get are telling me that the merchant has to reverse the refund which they can't BC my card is locked. My money is in there but you can't do anything krbthet hang up. I'm fed up andni have two little ones and I can't get my money off the card. Do these people know that taking money is called theft in our country? Guess not. This is very agrevatung and I have sent a letter to the Texas state senetor about this issue. Y'all people do not deserve to be in business it's amazing you still are BC I do not see how

NetSpend unauthorized charges

Late January while checking my NetSpend account I noticed a charge I had not made. I immediately notified customer service of the charge and to cancel the card as I had evidently lost it. They said the charge was still in pending status and would stop the charge from completing. A few days later I checked again and the charge had gone through. When I called customer service again they said I would have to file a dispute which I did. They credited my account "temp" while investigating. Today I get a notice stating the investigation will result in re debiting my account for that amount as the "merchant validated the charge" WTF? Of course the merchant did. All they know is that it was from a valid card at the time. Not too happy with NetSpend...

NetSpend re: closing of account due to fraud (and return of funds)

Good afternoon:
On 02/25/16 I was alerted by netspend that my account was closed due to fraudulent activity. At the present time, I had close to $2k in the account which funds had been deposited by my employer. Netspend policy is to have a letter of indemnity sent to them requesting that the funds be returned to them with information applicable to my account with netspend. Netspend informed me that it will take 20 business days to return the funds back to my employer which I deemed unacceptable. It is very unprofessional and disrespectful to any person to hold funds that do not belong to them for such a period of time.

In addition, my employer will not type a letter requesting funds that exceed the amount given on their behalf nor write my netaccount details in the letter since they are not responsible fro this. I appreciate some attention with this matter because it appears that netspend is clearly responsible for this fraud and it appears that the fraud happen because of them so that they can keep my funds.

I will send the letter given by my employer with hopes of my funds being returned back to my employer but, I will in addition contact legal assistance to handle this complaint with netspend.

i too have had the exact same problem with Netspend. They closed my account bc of identity verification issues. However I sent my drivers license, my w2, my 2020 tax returns, my old state id. A picture of me holding my drivers license! I mean why couldnt I go into PNC bank like i did last tear with my drivers license and withdrew 2500 off my netspendf account. Why cant I go into a well reputable bankl or financial institution with my id and prove its me? I have had $451 dollars in my netspend account for over 2 months and since then I have lost my home my vehicle, ive been on the streets. The money came from the HEERF from COVID money for students. it was 750 dollars which i got to spend 200 but then they want to mess with peoples lives. I have even emailed the president of netspend and of course someone intercepted the email! #netspend give me my money please Of course you all took your fees that I owed you over !00 dollars worth. But Your not sure if it was me huh?

I was able to gather from two customer service representatives that two other Netspend cards have been opened in my name and used in the amount of $500 each leaving a negative balance.

I HAVE NOT had two more cards and have only used the card ending in 8419.
I was recently the victim of identity theft so it appears that it may have crossed over to Netspend as well.

Several calls to your customer service department have led to me being placed on hold for several minutes and even hung up on. I NEED to speak with a representative in your fraud department so that I have the correct information to give the police when filing my police report about this matter.

I have written an email to both social and feedback @ netspend homing that I have some sort of answer to this matter as soon as possible.

My name is yolanda Johnson wade my account was closed because fraud and ATM machine problems. I was told I made to many disputes what was I suppose to do let it go unchecked never I did what anyone would have done.I was told that I was no longer eligible for netspend services. I wish I had something bad to say about them but I can't. I was treated good!

NetSpend netspend returned my refund.

Hey so I got a netspend card for my irs refund. I forgot to actived the card. The irs said the refund was going to be in my card on 2-18-16. But I called on 2-20-16 they told me that the money was there on 2-12-16. And they returned my refund back to the irs 02-18-16. And it takes 7 business days for the irs to get it back and the irs will send me a check does anybody know how long will it take for me to get it in the mail... Please help

NetSpend prepaid debit cards.

First off I filed my taxes with turbo tax and just decided to get a netspend card with my taxes loaded onto it. The card was suppose to be received within 7-10 business days... I never received that card and it took me over an hour and 3 reps to tell them I never received the card... One of them kept repeating that the card would "be there today" she couldn't comprehend that it didn't arrive. Then I asked if I could have a card expedited to me and she was telling me that it would cost $25 for a card to come 1-2 business days. To my surprise the card was not there after the 2nd business day. I called and a rep told me that it was coming with ups... I then asked for a tracking number and he said that he didn't have that. I then explained if he had enough information that the card was being shipped with ups then he should have a tracking number. After him telling me that I got frustrated and called my local ups and they told me they had nothing with my address in their system. So I called again immediately asking for a supervisor and the rep made me tell him the manner of my call before transferring my call... I explained and he told my my "expedited card" hasn't even been shipped because it takes 2-3 business days to process my request and then 1-2 business days to then ship it. Of course that's when I lost it. I said now I will not receive my card until next week? Because today is a friday. So I paid $30 for standard shipping. Netspend shouldn't even be in business. Their reps barely speak english and every single one say something completely different. They are an absolute joke. I am still on hold for 31 minutes to get someone on the phone and still holding! Ridiculous! Do not do nottttttttttttt deal with them at all!

I wasn't able to activate my card unless I send my info . it is anything but easy to deal with the people who try to answer your call. I demanded a supervisor to everyone I spoke to and held 18 min called back demand supervisor held 13 min. I called at least 10 times And demanded a super isor because the first 3 people couldn't understand enough English it is rediculas it took almost two hours to talk to a supervisor. To be told to wait . almost 3 weeks now to get a check they mailed to wrong address. Seems they would cover 40$ and wait for their own damn sht to arrive but no. If 40$ is not enough to save your reputation its not anyone I want to do business with I DO NOT RECOMED

NetSpend debit card

This started thursday 01/28/2015

I have been a faithful netspend customer since 2010. I have never had any problems with your company. My account is on hold and it has to do with a credit on books for school. The original payment method was financial aid on my student account. However, since student account financial aid has been terminated for the semester the bookstore asked me for credit card to put my credit on. I had no idea what this would cause. My balance is 1000. The refund is only 220. I need to have access to the 780 that had nothing to do with this transaction. I have done everything netspend has asked. The bookstore cannot reverse the charge. They talked to merchant services and cannot reverse it. It has already posted. I do not want to bring a lawyer into this but the fact remains that you are holding money that has nothing to do with the transaction. I need to pay bills, food and gas and cannot do this until you release the hold. I would be willing to close the account if I can get the money back. Some kind of resolution needs to be made.

NetSpend fraudulent charge and transfer

Same happened to me on 1/07/2016.Net spend approved a p2p phone transfer to someone I don't know and have never had a link to their account. This apparently took place over the phone after this person had reported that my car was broken into and my wallet was stolen which never happened. She then transferred 630.00 out of my account into hers just like that. Her name is shanquetia lanquest (Doubt that's her real name) this all happened after there was a fraudulent charge to macy's.com on 12/28/2015. On both occasions I contacted netspend within 15 minutes and they said there was nothing they could do to stop it. It seems all of their security measures go against the actual customer of the account and nothing against these people who pray on the lack of security to steal our hard earned money. I have had no resolution on this matter as of today and they seem to be in no hurry to rectify this theft.

NetSpend netspend prepaid debit visa

I simply purchased a netspend card to be able to purchase time over a phone for my husband to reach me from jail and it's been a ridiculous headache. First it takes forever to even get information through to these foreign (so called) customer service reps that no one can understand...let alone they can't understand you speaking perfect English yet having to repeat each thing several times. They are no help. I have tried sending these scarily intrusive documents and I hit a brick wall each time. I am almost thankful they haven't gone through because I am already worried about fraud based on my experience already and seeing the rest of these similar complaints and worse. VISA needs to fire this company because its going to get them in trouble. I can't get to my money and I am pissed. What next? Should everyone screwed get together and sue or what? VISA is my next contact. Its all bull. Don't go through NETSPEND ever!

NetSpend debit cards not honored

I purchased 2 cards from my local cvs as gifts and did not activate them until a year later at which time they would not activate. I called and was told that all i needed to do was get a new card issued in my name and the balance would be transferred over, no problem. When i called to activate the new card and transfer the balance i was told that they had taken the full balance away from both cards as fees as i had not activated them...This is stealing how do you charge fees for an unused card plus tell a customer that as long as they get a new card they will get the balance transferred? I am requesting they credit my new card for the amount that i purchased the original cards for, $100.00

NetSpend fraudulent transfer

Yesterday, I was the victim of a fraudulent transaction of 1500.00. It was a person to person transfer that was conducted by netspend customer service. I called and spoke to the fraud alert department, who had me go through filing a dispute by sending emails to their dispute department. They cancelled my cards on my account, and told me my account was "frozen" until they performed an investigation that would take at least 10 business days. I get another anytime alert today on my cell phone that another 1000 dollars has been transferred by a netspend customer service agent to the same person that I reported the day previously. I, however, cannot get them to transfer my money to any other place because of the hold on the account. So basically they are forcing me to watch as my account is slowly drained by them to someone else while not letting me touch any of it.

Same happened to me on 1/07/2016. Net spend approved a P2P phone transfer to someone I don't know and have never had a link to their account. This apparently took place over the phone after this person had reported that my car was broken into and my wallet was stolen which never happened. She then transferred 630.00 out of my account into hers just like that. Her name is Shanquetia Lanquest (doubt that's her real name) This all happened after there was a fraudulent charge to Macy's.com on 12/28/2015. On both occasions I contacted Netspend within 15 minutes and they said there was nothing they could do to stop it. It seems all of their security measures go against the actual customer of the account and nothing against these people who pray on the lack of security to steal our hard earned money. I have had no resolution on this matter as of today and they seem to be in no hurry to rectify this theft.
