This company provided me with a credit card terminal, that did not work. took longer than a week to establish the two merchant accounts i asked for, established them in completly diffrent categroies than i needed for my business, told me to not worry and run cc's anyhow, then terminal did not work, the banks said the limit was 400 per transaction and when i caled to see what happend to the other account it was not going to be set up, and that after ti tolder he I do not need one without the other.
lot's of charges, no one to answer when you need help and jennifer the receptionist from hell calling herself curteous. Laura the lady that runs the join is never there or does not call back and thenthings were set up in a way where i can not close the account out myself but have to have them close it out and guess what, no on to return my calls again for two weeks...
so the banks processing copmany out of tennessee is willing to help after listening to my story. keeping you posted on my progress.

Call your bank and do a stop payment to them and if needed close your account and reopen a new one. Jennifer tried to get me to sign but after reading all the complaints I will go through my bank. Good luck
Same problems with our company. JENNIFER the ### from hell told me we didn't have an account with them, therefore could not be told whether or not we would receive the promotional IPAD. We did then not sign with the company and the next thing you know we have fees debited from our account on two different occasions AFTER we filed a cancellation form. Jennifer then yelled at us over the phone on two different occasions and told us she didn't know what our problem was, "it was only $8 not $800". We have been waiting for a refund for over three weeks since the cancellation form and guess what today we have another charge! We filed a complaint with the BBB and found out they have 23 pending complaints as well as an F rating with the BBB. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL! THEY ARE FRAUDULENT AND VERBALLY ABUSIVE!

I agree with angelgirl69 and the corey above. This company charged my bank account over $600 for several months and I did not even use their services - not once. They claimed I needed to send them back a credit card processor which I did not have. So finally I had to pay them an additional $75 to pay for the card processor that I did not have.
Telling them that I have paid them $600 already without using their services - so free money for them was insufficient. They demanded $75 more to pay for the processor. I should have the money returned for services not rendered. For several months they charged for their services and for whatever else I do not know but there were 2 separate charges for several months to my credit card.
the individuals behind American Merchant Center are difficult to work with and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Buyer Beware!

These comments are sadly written by a competitor trying to make our company look bad online. Its funny how this company has been in business for over 25 years. They have been in business because of great service and excelltent rates. This companies record speaks for itself.

first of all, NO ONE can take anything from you that you dont allow them to, you signed a document to PAY for services rendered and GAVE THEM YOUR BANKING INFO! listen up all of you ###S: you wanted to be able to take credit cards for some business you likely did not think thru and now that you've incurred LEGITIMATE business expenses, you think you can just ### about it and everyone will forget that you SIGNED A CONTRACT. Try ### to the bank when your mortgage is due or at the pump when you fill up your crappy car... doesnt work, does it= you have to PAY MONEY TO MAKE MONEY- go back to work at WALMART and leave the real business to people who know the rules
