Dear FCA Canada Customer Care,
I’m writing about a clear manufacturing defect in my Chrysler Pacifica VIN 2C4RC1DG3HR659767. At 150200 km, the engine started ticking badly—turns out the cam lobes are severely worn (photos attached: one lobe hooked/mushroomed, another starting to score, plus rocker arms with deep backside gouging).
This isn’t wear—it’s premature failure. The lobes aren’t hardened right, lifters/rockers are wearing, and oil flow’s crap. Forums and shops are full of this on Pentastars—parts backordered, no real fix from Stellantis. Dealership’s swapping bits but ignoring the root problem.
I want:
• A formal case number
• Full inspection/repair under warranty (or goodwill if out)
• Explanation why this keeps happening—design flaw?
Photos:
1. Cam lobe with pick showing deformed tip
2. Worn lobe without tool
3. Early-stage lobe wear
4. Bad vs. good rocker arm comparison
Expect a reply soon.
I towed the vehicle to the Dodge dealership . They said 17000 , yes 17000 of these have been replace. Are you kidding me at only 150000 km. My other vehicles and I have 3 , well over 200000 km with not this problem.
Claimed loss: 5000
Desired outcome: Pay the bill ,please indicate where I can upload invoice.
