Chrysler 2010 town and country: engine stalls

2010 chrysler town and country. ABS/ESP light comes on. Engine stalls completely.
Total shutdown. This usually occurs when braking. I have taken my vehicle to several mechanics (6) and have no resolution. I have replaced many items, but the problem is that no one has found the problem. One dealership had the vehicle when codes were showing, but no problems were found. This is the 4th Chrysler/Dodge product that I have owned, but I am worried about owning my current vehicle, and future vehicles. I do not think that there is enough effort to notify carbuyers of the problems with Chrysler products. Researching online, I see that there are lots of these vehicles that should be off the road. I have called to check on recalls, but my vin number is not one affected according to the month it was manufactured. I have spent at least $1200 on possible items, but the problem is still there. I have an appointment with a dealership for more diagnosis.
I truly would like a resolution and have my vehicle in a safe condition.

Chrysler stalling and alternator failure 5.7 jeep grand cherokee at high speed.

Over the time I have owned this this vehicle, it has completely stalled at least 4 times with complete loss of power to the whole engine at speeds up to 120kph on motorways and I have been lucky that in each time I was able to pull over without being hit by other cars. I was told at the time it was the battery and I have changed the battery...It was said that it was due to the battery being flat and so was replaced.

The last incident included the battery light coming on, then stereo closing down, the a/c going off, every single warning light coming. Hot air blasting through the air vents and the windows locking. Followed by overheating. The report is that the alternator has failed and the Power Module is broken.
This exact same issue was reported as a fault on several vehicles in the Jeep range and recalled by T36. My vehicle however was not covered in this recall yet I am sure it in not a coincidence it has failed in exactly the same way.
The vehicle is a 5.7L Grand Cherokee with 220 AMP Alternator.
The work will cost 1783.00USD to repair. I would like request for this to be included in the recall with exactly the same failures and safety issues and fixed by the manufacturer at no charge.
My vehicle is located in the UAE and have not been able to find a suitable person/email to make a complaint with as they will not tell me who to contact. When I contact the Mopar customer services by email, it has been ignored.
I have tried to get the diagnostic report in order to include in in my complaint but was told when the battery is changed or when it stalled and removed the battery the car loses all the diagnostics which I find very hard to believe. I have tried to get them to raise this safety complain in the UAE and am getting nowhere. I have also been told I have to pay the 1780USD to repair it in order to get any information from the car.

Chrysler 2018 pacifica engine light comes on, (a!) comes on, cruise doesn't work.

I opened a case but haven't heard anything. I did miss one call at 5:45 yesterday. I want to know if I can drive this vehicle or will putting miles on it jeopardize my lemon law return. The car has 15, 000 miles on it. When we bought it 2 weeks ago it has 14, 500. We need the use of a car but we are afraid to use it. please advise.

Chrysler 2016 jeep renegade my tires

To whom it may concern;

My name is Henry Nugene Union of Olathe Jeep the dealer code is 45290.
I have sold Chrysler's products for 7 years and have enjoyed it I know if went to sell
another brand I would be disappointed. I bought a new Jeep Renegade Latitude in 2017. I have religiously changed the oil and rotated my tires. yesterday the 25th of Sept. 2019 I had the service department change my oil and rotate my tires. My service rep. tells me I need new tires I what, my has only 28174 miles on it.

So I called Chrysler service center and gave them my name and phone number oh, and my vin they said you have a dunlap brand 215/60 r17-bsw-as- touring. which is what Goodyear dunlap said as well. Here's where things get hairy Goodyear need to know something about the tire and had to go my Jeep and get off the tire. When I got to looking for what I needed I found the tire was a Continital crosscontact lx sport. I got the feeling of a man in a Twilight Zone movie. I get on the phone with Good year and tell them it's a continetal tire do you guys sell those tires.

Then the Good year guy go no. I speak with continetal and they tell me they don't have a warranty for the tire that's on my car. Hey there was suppose to be Dunlap tires on my car instead there's a brand that the company that made them won't even warranty it, that's cold. At this point I feel like Wile e coyote when he thinks he has the Road Runner and about to have dinner when at the last minute the product he just purchase from Acme broke and the bird gave me the bird. I need some help Chrysler I have sold your products for 7 years never have I said to a customer never will we not stand behind our brand.

You allow all the tire companies to place tires on your Jeeps which represent you.
Really Chrysler without you and GM and Ford and all the other car companies they the tire companies can't sell their tires, right. I like any other consumer the tires on your brand is your tire and your responsibility when some thing bad goes wrong you share the blame. Chrysler uconnect 430n garmin navigation system

My navigation system suddenly stopped working.
I searched and found many other Chrysler automobiles are experiencing the same issue. I downloaded/installed the update to the firmware and Garmin maps.
I am still receiving the following errors. "Can't unlock Maps" and "Detailed maps are required for routing. No detailed maps were found on this unit."
I contacted Garmin and they told me it's a hardware issue and I need to have the dealer replace the radio.
The dealer said it's $600 to replace the radio.

I'm wondering why the radio has to be replaced at my expense, especially since it is obviously a manufacture defect and apparently is a universal issue with so many complaints about the same issue.

Chrysler servicing and maintenance

On 8-22-19 I went to Westborn Chrysler Jeep to have my 2017 Jeep Patriot given service and maintenance for the 20, 000 interval and also some previously and un-resolved reported problems with the battery and corrosion around the cable terminals. I had made an appointment the week before on the dealership service website and it was confirmed for "mid-day" on this day. I arrived on this day at approximately 12:15 p and some time after was met by an advisor, David S. Smith, who advised me that they did not accept online reservations because they operated first come, first served and the online web system is in need of service. I informed him of my service needs and because of his lack of knowledge I had to show him page 168-169 of the 2017 Patriot User Guide for required service. I was then informed that the 'inspection of my battery and clean and tighten terminals' would cost me $39 (contrary to warranty, page 167 of user manual )and an inspection for the problem would require me to leave my Patriot and Westborn does not give loaners. I was given an oil change minus the tire rotation, inspection of the battery and clean and tighten terminals was not done, and the change oil warning light was not turned off. I could not make an appointment for the electrical system, because they do not take appointments, and was wished the best of luck getting this service done. I complained to Westborn, gave them a reasonable amount of time to respond, negative result. My Patriot is still under warranty.
Unfortunately, your people are sloppy and unprofessional. I am disappointed because my grandmother did 39 years at Dodge Main and swore on the product.
I would appreciate the service check and repair of my battery system, the tires rotated and oil change light turned off. I have copies of all that I have reported, Customer NO. 137015, Invoice NO. CHCS338556, American Express receipt Inv #000017.
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to the listed problem and will wait until 10-5-19 before seeking help from the BBB and Attorney Generals Office Complaint section.

Chrysler software update control panel lockup

9/19/19 I started receiving a software update message and request to schedule the update on my 2019 Dodge Ram pickup. I scheduled the update 3 times 9/19. It did not appear to take and the message kept reappearing on my display. After the 2nd time my control panel and display were locked. I could not use any of the functions (Radio, Climate Control, Navigation, etc). This occurred after I merely scheduled the update. This is UNACEPTABLE! What if I needed my navigation? That's a safety issue. It's been over 100 degrees in Texas what if I could not turn on my A/C?

Dealer said I need to disconnect my battery for 20-25 minutes to resolve this issue!

I understand this is software and there are bugs. I spent my whole career doing software development. A system should not be designed that, unsolicited by the owner, takes over control of important functions of a vehicle. DO NOT EVER PROVIDE UNSOLICITED SOFTWARE CHANGES TO MY VEHICLE AGAIN!

Please send me an acknowledgement, in writing, that this will never be done again on my vehicle.

Chrysler 2016 jeep cherokee laredo

56, 000 miles under 3 year vehichle Case # [protected]
Jeep towed to my dealer and they told me it was fixed. I got a ride ( 1 hour ) to opick up the car and when I started to drive it out of the shop[ I noticed the auto start and battery light were on. These are a couple of the same issues I brought it in for. The vehicle was in for over a week. They told me at first the shifter message was due to a bad bulb.

I had to leave the car there again and go home. I was notified today that it is a bad shifter harness and they are going to charge me 0ver $800 for it.

There are tons of jeep owners that have the same problem . This is my third Jeep and I have had nothing but problems with all three.

I would like Chrysler to show me some good will and reimburse me for a defective product.

Chrysler uconnect update

A U connect update had to be completed on my vehicle and I have been calling U Connect on line, they keep you on the phone for ever, do not return calls, hang up on you - they have the worst customer services ever. They had me try several options which I did and it still did not work. Then they had me take my vehicle to the dealership and they still can not fix it. The U connect operator told me they would be contacting me before I take my car in via phone, which I did not receive, I got an email with instructions which were already tried several times when U connect staff since I had called so many times. U Connect is in truthful and Chrysler needs to do something about this organization, not very helpful at all. I do not recommended this services to anyone. You get the run around and people do not know what is going on. Time for a law suit.

Starting on Sunday October 27th. Recently purchased new Uconnect Navigation Map Update and after reading instructions I went to Uconnect website to verify if I had successfully downloaded recent Software Update. I input my Dodge Ram 2014 1500 VIN number and t told me no update available. So I assumed new software update was successful. GPS Download instructions say it will take approximately 1 hour to complete map update. Started download at 11:30 am and left vehicle running during update process. I checked on update progress every 30 minutes and after 2 hours of not completing update, I started to sit in vehicle to monitor what was going on. There are 3 units to be downloaded for the update and unit 3 would not complete its download and screen would go black and wait 2-5 minute message came up. Then screen turned gray and message: Head unit needs reset to continue and then unit 3 download started over again. I continued trying to download update util 5:30 pm without success. Help phone number for HERE Customer Service was not available on Sunday. Monday morning I continued trying to complete download with no success. Called HERE Customer Service at 10:41 am and explained to rep the problem I was having. He tried a few solutions with no success and suggested I contact my Dodge Dealership for assistance. I called dealership and spoke with service manager and was told they do not work on GPS issues and he told me to call Uconnect. Called Uconnect at 11:45 am and spoke to Susan and she tried a soft reset of my system, which did not work. She then assigned me a Case# and told me I would get a response from Uconnect rep within 24 hours. On Tuesday after not receiving a call back fro Uconnect rep, I called them at 11:08 am and spoke to Chris. I gave him my case number and he informed that my case had been assigned to a case manager Dianne and she had until 8:00 pm to contact me. I asked him why was I told 24 hours by other rep and he said she was incorrect. Chris was not really interested in my problem and it was evident he was used to dealing with customers this way. After hanging up with Chris, I called back to ask another question and got a different lady rep, I gave her my case number and she told me that case Manager had up to 2 working days to get back to me. Talk about being confused. I finally was called back by m case manager Dianne at 3:46 pm and she told me she would call my local dealership Bayshore Dodge and make an appointment to bring my Truck in to have them fix the problem. She told me to expect a call from my dealership and she would call me back as well to confirm everything was going to happen. Never heard back from her or the dealership. I talked to Dianne Uconnect Case Manager and also Tina HERE supervisor on Wednesday and Thursday with no solution to my problem being solved. I came to the conclusion that Uconnect and HERE Customer Service groups are a joke and simply gave up dealing with them and looked and found solutions elsewhere. Due to basically no customer service help, I went 96 hours without any of my 8.4A radio system functions. This is not acceptable and has changed my mind about purchasing another Dodge vehicle.

Chrysler repair issues/customer service

I been having nothing but engine problems
With this car and it's not over 100, 000..in aug of 2018 engine parts were replaced and NO require documentation was asked when repairs were done on the engine during this time and also the dodge warranty states that "If Possible to show documents, they DO NOT State that they are required..Chrysler did repairs in Aug of 2018 without these documents due to its under warranty Now around the same time my engine completely failed..there is no produce evidence that the oil change or maintenance records shows it cause that engine failure..
look of any oil buildup.Last year when my vehicle was a landmark dodge of morrow., Not only this vehicle broke down twice on me, the second it failed WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY..This could have cause a serious accident or lost of my life or some else life.

The car was repaired the 1st time without any documents needed while I was under warranty and with the same warranty..this should be the same effect with my engine replacement that is needed(unsure if that's the issue due to no full detail from Landmark Dodge of Atlanta).Landmark dodge of Atlanta is failing to bring great customer service to a customer, I have been without a vehicle for 3 weeks with NO significant update about my vehicle, no loaner car also...I will never get my car repaired or purchase a vehicle at both Landmark
Dodge of Morrow and Landmark Dodge of Atlanta due to bad customer service and also the service the advisor that was at the beginning when my vehicle broke down on Aug 17 2019left landmark dodge as of Aug 30 2019, no one from the dealership communicate to me since to give me an update on my vehicle. .I just want my vehicle repaired ASAP due to its still under powertrain warranty

Chrysler service work at grogan's town

I own a 2010 dodge dakota which I bought at grogan's in toledo I took the dakota back for a recall on the passenger side air bag .About 3 mouths ago . The truck developed a loud rattle in it .I tried looking for this rattle by taking the dash apart except for the air bag I did not know how to do it .I finally made up my mind to call grogan's they told me they are backed up and it would be 2 weeks to look at it I said forget it.So I ended up taking it to a local body shop. What they found was the airbag bracket was not tightened down .Cost to get it fixed $300. I did call grogan's a

Chrysler Charlies jeep dodge in maumee oh

15-Jul driving from Milwaukee home to Streetsboro OH, we hydroplaned and went across the turnpike median and back out onto our inside burm. At this time the Temp light flashed on and off quickly. We drove over to the outside berm where we decided to go to the next turnpike exit.
After a few miles the engine stopped stalled During this entire time the temp gauge never moved off of center and the temp light only flashed on and off while crossing from inside berm to the outside berm.
Called a tow truck which took us to Charlies Jeep Dodge Chrysler dealership in Maumee OH. We called ahead at 5:45 PM. They were closing at 6PM but said to leave the car and put the key in the overnight drop off, which we did.
While we waited for the tow we filed a claim with Grange Insurance.
We then used Uber to get to the Toledo airport to pick up a rental car as we still had two hours of travel time left to get home. Since we expected the repairs to be completed prior to our vacation we chose a two-way rental - drop off same location as pickup).
16-Jul Keith spoke with Nick in the body shop at Charlie's Dealership, he indicated they will look over the car, get it on the engine analyzer (since the engine light we lit) and keep in touch
17-Jul Grange explained how the claim process worked and they received the estimate for the repair work from Charlie's, approved it, and the repair began.
The repair estimate (RO #8007248 & #6198262) was to replace the radiator, transmission cooler, front and rear lower bumpers, radiator fan and a wheel alignment. Nothing else was on the estimate regarding the check engine lit.
18-Jul Keith spoke to Nick regarding completion date which was set at July 31.
24-Jul Nick called to say the car was ready early. The body work was completed and radiator replace all per the estimate. He said it had been test drove and it was running great.( mileage in and mileage out was identical)
As we didn't have the claim check from Grange yet, and we were leaving in 2 days for a vacation, we decided to put the total amount of the repair charges on a credit card.
We drove the 2 hour and 10 min drive back to Maumee to pick up car and return the rental car to the Toledo airport that night.
Unfortunately the car didn't make it out of the parking lot. The car barely started, and when it did it ran extremely rough. We attempted to drive away but the car lost power as it got close to 20 mph.
We returned the car to the same spot we picked it up from and put the key back in the drop box.
We then drove the rental 2 hours and 10 mins back home. During the drive we noticed on the repair orders the mileage in and mileage out was exactly the same so we wondered how they could have test drove it.
25-Jul Keith spoke to Nick and described how the car was behaving. They would give it a look over and get back with him.
26-Jul Due to us leaving on vacation this morning we had to return the rental car to the Cleveland Hopkins airport instead of Toledo airport and would incur a 300$ one-way fee which wasn't covered by insurance.
We also received the 2 party insurance claim check prior to our leaving for the airport.
29-Jul Nick contacted Keith and he said issue with the engine was caused by the spark plug covers being cracked (RO #6198412). He said they have seen issues with these and there was a recall to replace them. He was surprised we hadn't had an issue with them before. And even though it was not related to the accident they would replace them as warranty work. Nick also indicated that the oxygen sensor failed and was being replaced.
When Keith asked about compensating us for the extra 4+ hours trip and the hassle it caused they did agree to look into something for us.

2-Aug Nick called to say the car was fixed and had been test driven and was working great. When Keith asked about the compensation he did confirm with his manager that they would offer $150 back from our deductible.

4-Aug Arrived home from vacation at CLE, we got an uber home got Keith 's car and then drove the 2 hours and 10 mins to Charlies Dealership to pick up car.
The car started okay although we noticed that the air conditioning was blowing hot air.
As instructed we placed the counter-signed insurance cheque in the drop box so that they could cash it and refund us the charges to the credit card.
After driving for 5 mins the air conditioning started working.
After driving for 15 mins the engine Temp light came on. We exited the turnpike and stopped to check it out. Keith discovered that the radiator fans were not operating. He realized that the fuse was blown and swap the powerseat fuse to replace it.
The fans immediately began to work and the engine immediately cooled down and the light went out.
About 2 miles down the turnpike the Temp light came back on Keith instructed me to turn the heater on full blast and give myself some room in front of the car to get air circulating . After a few miles of this the light went out and the gauge dropped down to 3/4 We decided to continue to drive back home this way as we didn't want to take it back to Charlies, as we were fed up with them. hours, this kept the Temp gauge at about the 3/4 line and the Temp light off.
We wanted to get it closer to home and to a different dealership. I had to drive with the heater running full blast in 85 degree heat for 2
Within 15 mins from the home the Temp gauge came down to about 1/2, the normal position.
Once we reached home Keith checked the fans which were working and the temperature was normal. We decided to check it in the morning before I headed off to work.
8/5-8/8 Called Nick at Charlie's and left messages everyday. No return call. Finally left a message for Kevin and when he finally called back Keith tried to tell him about picking up the car and our trip home, he said he test drove it and it was fine.

5-Aug Keith tried to check the car but it barely started. I took 4 turns of the key before the engine caught, and ran extremely rough. At this time the check engine light was flashing, but the Temp lite was off and gauge was normal. The engine smoothed out after a few minutes.
Keith drove the car around the block and it operated normally except for the check engine light being lit.
We drove the car to Falls Motor City, Cuyahoga Falls, with the engine light on. During which time the Temp lit never turned on.
We explained our situation and experience with Charlie's to the Service Manager. He had never heard of the dry/cracking spark plug boot issue and said that seemed strange.

8-Aug Keith received a call from Falls Motor City to say that suspected the issue was that the cylinders were warped. Keith gave his approval to tear down the engine in order to for them to confirm their suspicion.
9-Aug Tear down reviewed that the cylinder heads did warp. But they had to wait until the insurance inspector came out to check out their findings.
13-Aug We received refund cheque from Charlie's Dealership.
14-Aug Keith received a call from the insurance inspector asking detailed questions regarding the accident, the car's prior maintenance, and what happened with Charlies. The insurance hadn't seen the second repair for Charlies since they did it as 'warranty' work.
15-Aug The insurance inspector called to say they would cover the cost of the repairs.
22-Aug 5:00pm got the call from Falls Motor City to say the car was ready. I picked it up and it runs great. We are very pleased with them.
38 days later

Very Very upset with Charlie's We made 2 trips to there (2 hours and 10 mins each way) to pick up my car that we were told had been test driven and was working great, when it wasn't working at all and wasn't even close to being fixed.
We feel we deserve some compensation for their failure to fix my car and to have us drive all the way there not once but twice and it still not fixed.
very happy with Falls Motor City. They figured out the issues right away and made sure the car was working before returning it to me. I will be going to them when my lease is up in 6 months.

Chrysler 2012 300c

This car is falling apart faster then i can repair it. First suspension problems, next rear view camera. The leather dash is peeling back. To top it off lifter bearings on hemi engine ate up the cam shaft. Now my wheel cracked. This is a money pit car. I have a 2005 GM boneville GXP that is more reliable then this 2012 300c. This is the worst car I have ever owned.

I Wiley Whaley own a 2007 Chrysler Sebring, (Vin# 1C3LC56K17N681619). On the date of 8/08/19 I called Milton Ruben Chrysler located at 3516 Washington Rd, Augusta Ga, 30907 . Chrysler recall and warranty work

Several weeks ago I took my 2018 Pacifica into Kimberly car city in davenport IA for an appointment to do some recall work. They told me they might take two days, so I rescheduled three weeks later to allow for a two day job. I am going to pick up my car this afternoon, day 2. Two of the four recalls were done. They say they don't have the parts for the other two. (scheduling a repair without the parts doesn't sound very smart to me.) They didn't even look at the warranty item I asked them to fix. All in all the service at this dealership is very poor. I am trying to find out my alternatives, but maybe I just have to live with the defects. Hope it doesn't cost me in the long run.
