Chrysler My engine lights been on five months straight!

I filed a complaint with Chrysler on 5/03/22. My 2020 Chrysler Pacifica has been a nightmare. It’s had its gas tank replaced. The engine wiring harness replace, the transmission wiring harness replace. I have been waiting for a hybrid battery heater component since January 2022. I have been driving around five months with the engine light on. Now the Transmission needs to be replaced. No one from Chrysler has contacted me like they said they would. I want Chrysler to buy back this piece of junk so I can get something that works. It’s been 5 months and they can’t even get the part to fix the hybrid battery heater.

Desired outcome: Buy the piece of junk back so I can get a reliable vehicle

Chrysler 2019 Ram 1500 limited

I have heard an exhaust leak since I bought the truck in 2020. After doing some research I took the truck into the dealership and found that both manifolds are cracked. They told me it was a powertrain issure and that my truck was 16,000 miles over the limit, and it would cost $1600 to repair the manifolds. Then they mentioned they would be using old bolts because the ones used are the wrong type of metal. This sounds like a design flaw to me and I would appreciate some help coving the cost of the repair.

Chrysler 2013 Chrysler Town & Country rear AC refrigerant leak

I own a 2013 town & country that’s leaking a green colored fluid at the rear wheel on passenger side. We purchased a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty while the van was still under the original warranty.

Made an appointment with the local dealer for a diagnosis.

We were informed there was a leak at the expansion valve & they had the part & could start on the repair. We were warned at that time that we had about a fifty fifty chance of the bolt might not come out & we would not have any ac until other parts came in.

After working on it approximately two hours we were advised it would not come out & we would have to reschedule for next week May 2022. That was fine with us. So far so good. About two hours later our service advisor called with bad news. He advised us that Chrysler had denied our claim due to corrosion & our out of pocket cost would be in the neighborhood of $2200.00.

I called Chrysler customer care and a very nice gentleman who’s name I won’t mention here said he knew all about it & that it had nothing to do with corrosion.

He advised me that he was very familiar with this issue & the real problem is that the manufacturer put a steel bolt thru an aluminum block & the two different metals have welded themselves together & would not come apart. He was typing the whole time I was on the phone with him. After this I thought the decision not to cover our repair would be reversed. Sorry to say they are still refusing to repair stating it’s due to corrosion. After multiple calls & two cases opened they still refuse to reverse their decision. If there’s corrosion it’s on the inside not the outside. Our service advisor said they had done several of these & didn’t understand why our claim was being denied. After a little research this is a very common problem & Chrysler is very aware of the problem & they need to stand behind the contract.

Chrysler Power Train Warranty

I have a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van, purchased January 2009 as a new vehicle. We have always had our maintenance of the vehicle done at a Chrysler Dealership. Occasionally, the van would cut off for no reason and I would restart it. This happened quite often. My husband told the dealership many times about the problem, asking them to check it out. Their response was always "if it doesn't happen when we test drive it, we don't know what the problem is". In December 2021, the vehicle broke. Upon having it towed to the nearest Chrysler dealership, they said the transmission was gone. We assumed the warranty would cover it. Not so...they told us that we did not honor the warranty terms with the 5 year inspection. The one due in 2014 was done after we were notified it was due. The warranty dept. told us that since the second one was due 2019 and wasn't done, the warranty would not cover it. They said if we would pay to have it done, they could reinstate the warranty. They did not do that. Please help. My husband is a disabled vet and we can't afford the cost. Veterans are loyal to those that help their disabled comrades. Please consider my plea. Thank you

Desired outcome: Initiate the warranty to pay the cost of the transmission or donate us a new van if you feel generous to help you disabled service members.

Chrysler Right Front Blinker on 2020 leased dodge durango

Good Afternoon, I am contacting your agency regarding my 2020 Dodge Durango Leased Vehicle. I leased my vehicle from Grogans Towne 6100 Telegraph Rd, Toledo, OH 43612. I am a returning customer, I signed paperwork for my new lease on 9/30/2020. I have had my leased vehicle for less than two years, and the vehicle has about 16,000 miles. My right front blinker went out about three weeks ago. The vehicle notified me, however the notification went on and off, and the blinker continued to work properly. The notification is no on all of the time. I called the dealership and was told that this is "normal wear and tear" I have leased several new vehicles, and I have owned several new vehicles and never once have I had a blinker light or a head light go out for that matter. The dealership service department has notified me that it would cost anywhere from $80-$100 to fix the blinker light. I feel that this is not "normal" wear and tear . I leased the vehicle 6 months into the COVID 19 Pandemic, and I was working from home. I am still working from home, however I do travel for another job. I have another vehicle that I drive during the summer, and My leased vehicle is maintained in my garage. I have driven this vehicle less than 2 years, and I feel that a blinker light should last longer than a year and 5 months. I did speak to the new car sales manager at Grogan's Towne, and he also advised me that they would not cover this cost. I feel that this should not be something that I have to pay for, as this is an excessive cost. I maintain my oil changes for my vehicle, and I care for it. I feel that this particular part in the vehicle is faulty as this light should not have gone out. I do not have an extra $100 to pay for something so small.

Chrysler Spontaneous electrical fire started while truck was parked

I came home for lunch. My truck was parked in my driveway. About 30 minutes later a neighbor range our doorbell to inform us that my 2017 Dodge RAM 1500 truck was on fire in the rear bed area.

We called 911, but by the time the fire department got there the truck bed and cab was completely engulfed in flames. After they put out the fire the fire chief on site examined the vehicle and determined that the "hot spot", where the fire began was in the rear passenger tail light area.

Desired outcome: I would like the same year and model, as close to what I had as possible. Eight speed transmission and back up camera. It had about 46,000 miles on it at the time of the fire.

Chrysler 2019 Dodge Caravan

I own a 2019 Dodge Caravan with just over 60,000 miles. I have had issues with a misfire in cylinder two. I have replaced some components and still had issues. I took it to a mechanic and after several attempts, he could not remedy the problem. After doing some research, I noticed Chrysler had a bulletin that they published a few years ago stating that they extended factory warranties on 2011 through 2013 vehicles with the same problem.

Apparently its a head gasket issue that is causing the misfire. Since this is still happening on a 2019, I don't think the problem has been fixed from the first indication in 2011.

Desired outcome: I would like the vehicle fixed under warranty. Its obviously an issue because Chrysler identified it eight years ago. There is no way in my opinion that a vehicle that has 60,000 miles and three years old should have a head gasket issue.

Chrysler Motor mounts caused van to shake violently

I purchased a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country van on 10-12-21, and soon

thereafter, the van started shaking violently. Vin# 2A4RR8DX7AR366607,

and took it to my repair shop, and they said that we needed to take it to a

transmission repair shop, because it was very dangerous to drive in this

condition. So, we took it there and they replaced the motor mounts, and

additionally we had to have more repairs done, and finally was able to get a

smooth ride, and felt like it is safe to drive it now.

However, now it is making a loud whining noise and as you increase your

speed, the noise increases. Can't hardly get to drive this vehicle, cause am

always taking it to the repair shop.

So done with it breaking so much. thanks Betty Somerville

Chrysler Dodge dealer delivery and integrity issue

Hello,

In October 2021after checking delivery time from other brands we decided to reserve and pay for a Dodge 3500 which we will use with our fifth wheel.

Virginia Dodge Hall promised the truck to be delivered no later than Feb 2022.

Early February we received a message that the truck was delivered to Petersburg Virginia and few weeks after, I tried to get more information which is almost impossible, no want keeps you informed, the dealer told me the keys of the truck was stolen. So the drama and lies to cover the incompetence started, stories about Trying to get the key, I went personally to talk to the manager and complain about lack of communication and customer service.

They told me bunch of lies that they would take care of the issue.

Now March 19th 2022 , still don't have any information , truck have not arrived.

Desired outcome: I would like to have my truck delivered and more information

Chrysler Chrysler 200 2016

On 3/17/2022 my Chrysler 200 2016 just shut off and won't turn over. Everything's on inside the car. I'm a single mother with 6 years old and we were most hit by a big truck when the car shut off. I was so scared, and my daughter was terrified. Auburn Hills, MI 48326 Chrysler has a lot of complaint on theses car from [protected] of installed and shutting off. It is saying it PDC, electric wires, and many things. My car only has 96678 miles on it and I can't afford no new car, times are hard and money not easy. Chrysler 2013 ram

Suspension keeps dropping when it gets cold out.

Truck has been in the shop since December this year. Was in the shop November to April last year. Was in the shop on and off all winter the year before.

Have replaced compressor 4 or 5 times, replaced manifold, lines running to the struts, computers, everything in the suspension except the struts.

I have talked to the owner of the dealership, he said that he would look into the problem, nothing has been done.

They keep making excuses as to why it has not been worked on, the main reason is that they don't get paid to do the mandatory checks that they say Chrysler demands to troublshoot the pro leg.

I even volunteered to purchase a set of aftermarket struts and have them put on as long as it didn't void the warranty for the rest of the truck.

Desired outcome: Fix the truck so it can be driven and not fall onto the suspension hard stops and pull to the side while driving.

Chrysler Sales

I work for a local non profit here in Maine and have been dealing with Bessey Motors in South Paris for the last couple of years and moved our company business based on my experience with my first two purchases.The dealership was then sold and in October i brokered a sales agreement for a new fleet truck but was told it could be 3 to 4 months.My salesman apparantly had some issues with the new ownship and the tactics and he left.When i reached out to him i got another salesman who was a bit rude and told me the truck had not hit production yet and he would let me know when it did.Ive been checking every month with him only to hear the same thing,it has not gone to production yet.When i called yesterday he told me all fleet deals were canceled and if i wanted a truck i would have to pay retail!I was floored and will never deal with this dealership again and probable never buy another Dodge is this is how were going to be treated.We dont have the resources in our budget to pay retail just so they can make more money.This is simply wrong.

Chrysler 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 Limited Lifetime Powertrain Warranty

Dodge has voided my life time powertrain warranty because apparently I didn't explicitly schedule a special inspection. However, I had this truck at a dealership performing scheduled maintenance and performing warranty work within the 60 day intervals per the warranty handbook.

Multiple other warranty visits at Hillsborough Dodge over past three years

I couldn't even get into the customer care hotline without providing my phone and email 4 times and we didn't receive one email, one call or one letter reminding us of this explicitly special inspection that only shows up in the warranty booklet. It doesn't show up in the scheduled maintenance intervals in the owners manual. This inspection could have been done at any one of the visits to the dealerships.

My wife and I have bought a dakota, 2-1500, 2 jeep grand Cherokees and a 2500 and this is how we're treated? Scammed out of a warranty on a technicality that Dodge had every opportunity to be a part of the solution. There will not be a next Chrysler purchase unless this is rectified.

Desired outcome: Reinstate the life time powertrain warranty.

I have just now sent a complaint to Chrysler Corporation for the exact same thing! Did you get any results? We had always had maintenance done on time, only at the dealership, and even told the dealership of an issue the van was having. Was never once reminded of a second 5 year inspection, and the lifetime power train warranty was cancelled.

Chrysler Customer service

I have been trying to get a simple Transmission Software update done and I can't find a dealership anywhere in my area where I can take my truck for a software update. I am a Class 8 Technician and I know what's involved in reprogramming ECM's and Modules and it's not a big deal.

I don't need my truck gone over front to back to tell me what needs fixed on it. It has 8,000 miles on it. This is not my first new Ram but it will be my last. I'm already looking to trade.

Chrysler Uconnect

When selecting Uconnect on iPhone12 I get a blank blue screen and no remote functions. 4G adaptor will not take update. From mopar.com when selecting remote receive cannot process function. Has not worked since Oct 2021. Tried to cancell and was told that had to pay a cancellation fee. for something that does not work. Only response I get from support is to wait 48 hours. They never call back when they say they they will. Support ticket was made twice.

Chrysler 2021 Dodge Charger Transmission

I bought this 2021 Dodge Charger BRAND NEW within the last month within a week I took it back to McKinney Dodge in Easley because it was shift VERY hard from park to reverse. They stated they it didn't pull any codes so they said there was nothing they could do. 2 days later the car would not move forward in drive and the D on the drive stick started flashing and a message about shift to park flashed on the dash screen. I called Dodge and they said bring it back. On my second visit the service tech rode with us and he said that no codes appeared and the shifting hard would stop if you set the parking break every time you park. So we were sent on our way. Now the service transmission light came on and we took it back a 3rd time. This time it pulled 2 codes and they dropped the transmission pan. I'm on day 2 with no car and 3 trips to dodge on a BRAND NEW Charger with tranny issues! I have video and photo of issues! I have put money and detailed work on the exterior of the car as well out of my pocket. I still have no update on the issues with the car! Dealership has all videos and photos of issues.

Desired outcome: This is insane on a BRAND NEW car. I would hope that my time and frustration is compensated. I'm without a car to drive and want either the transmission replaced or a replacement of car completely.

Chrysler Pacifica hybrid plug in - electric battery service

We took our Pacifica Hybrid Plug in to Olympia Chrysler Jeep for service on the electric batter issue Dec 2021. The problem is a part in the heating/cooling system has malfunctioned. We purchased the car in April of 2021, this is our third Chrysler product and have been happy with the product until this issue. It is now Feb 22, 2022 and the problem is not resolved, the part is on back order. I find it very disappointing that you can not supply a repair part, you make sure you can make new cars but don't care about customer service in keeping parts available for repair. I think we should get a new car under the lemon law as you can not fix this car.

Desired outcome: I want an answer on what can be done to get this problem resolved.

Chrysler 2019 Ram 3500

To whom it may concern,

My name Ronald Kirk you can reach me at [protected] I own a 2019 Ram 3500 I have a recall notice for the fuel pump. I have taken the truck to our local dealer and was told that no Fuel pumps are available at this time and they have no ETA on the arrival time.

I spoke to a a Chrysler employee on [protected] and was told that the buy back program was expired by 29 days. Now I have a $70,000 truck that I cannot drive and now its a yard decoration all because of this fuel pump issue. I received the recall notice 17 days ago and now I am stuck with a truck that's not worth a dime. I see that Chrysler does not care about there customers or taking care of there customers. I will not ever purchase another Chrysler product nor will I recommend your product to anyone else. I will make this public thru our local news station and any other social media platforms. Hopefully I will get other customers with this same situation to file complaints. I will be seeking legal advice ASAP.

I am so dissatisfied with Chrysler product. I know filing this complaint will go nowhere because I have read some of the complaints and I see no response from Chrysler.

Chrysler 2016 jeep renegade

We took our Jeep Renegade to Napleton's in Kissimmee on December 3 2021.

We had new brakes and tires installed after telling Marlene Agosto in service that we were taking the vehicle to Illinois for Christmas. She told me that our Jeep had a recall and we would possibly need a new engine. She said to drive it 500 miles then come back and they would see how much oil the engine had used. We went back on January 18th and she told him that it had used to much oil. They would order the new engine and she would give us a call when it came in. She also said they would give us a loaner car while the engine was being installed. We waited 2 weeks and called Marlene back to see when the new engine would be put in. She texted me and said that we wouldn't be getting a new engine from Chrysler. There were 2 recalls and our recall was for an update and not a new engine. We still needed a new engine, but Chrysler would not pay for it. So, for 6 weeks we were told Chrysler would be paying for the engine. Then all of a sudden they had made a mistake and we would need to pay for it ourselves. If that was the case we would never have spent $2,000 on new brakes and tires for a car that we are now afraid to drive more than in town. The service manager told me that she made a mistake with us and several other people. How does that happen when that is your job?

Desired outcome: We were told for 6 weeks that Chrysler was paying for this engine. They either need to pay for my new engine or pay the 2,000 I spent on the new brakes and tires. I could have traded in the car and not spent the 2,000.

Chrysler Rude, intentionally unhelpful and obstinate salesman.

Dear Owner of Don Mills Chrysler:

I was at your dealership at around 1 pm today, Saturday February 12, 2022 to look at a vehicle I had my eye on for some time now. It's the 2021 Dodge Daytona with the 5.7L V8 engine. Your sales agent who said he was the "manager" was unhelpful, unenthusiastic and inappropriate with me. He wouldn't let me sit in the car, hear the radio or even start it up. He said "it's too special of a car to do that". Here I am, coming up to your dealership, wanting to buy a vehicle and your salesman throws every obstacle in my way he can think of.

I've bought many cars in my day and I've never been met by such lack of professionalism, disrespect and a lack of exuberance on the part of a salesperson in all my life. He is a discredit to your dealership and a discredit to Chrysler Canada whom I am certain expect all of their employees and affiliates to be pleasant and customer focused.

The salesperson was a middle aged Asian man. He refused to tell me his name or the name of the dealership owner so a representative from Chrysler who happened to be there told me the owner is David Stout. I would like an explanation and an apology as I am sure this is not the kind of customer relations Chrysler Canada wants with the public.

I am hoping we can mend fences and start over again.
