Cell C's poor service
We have a contract with cell C and the agreement is that they will debit R648 for two cellphones so month of end June they withdrew R2500 claiming that we did not pay for 3 months how, we don't know because we've been paying at Checkers and we also have proof that we've been paying this whole time. Today I went to settle July's payment and again they withdrew R1200 but they were supposed to take R648. All I'm asking for you guys is to do your calculations right and give us our money back.

I got retrenched because of Covid so I am not using my bank account any more wanted to change bank details to my husband's account but they refuse want me to go in the bank or retail store every month to pay my account! And send proof of payment... I am trying to avoid going out due to high covid numbers and cell c refuse to help me.
Contract renewal device delivery
Good day, on 17 July 2021 my husband have renewed two Cel C contracts online with dealer code eTE4274116 (agent 224) whatever that might mean, who told him that the devices will be delivered in 5-10 working days max.
In the interim the renewal contracts were sent via e-mail, and we noted that the information on it was COMPLETELY wrong, and if that was used to deliver the devices we would NEVER receive it.
We called Cel C to update the information and was told it cannot be changed because the devices were not yet sent to the dispatch dept. I explained that it is why I called, to prevent the dispatch dept. to send it to a non existing location.
After being transferred from one department to another - in fact about 7 different departments, we FINALLY got someone to listen (and then I have to include that my husband had to verify his details EVERY TIME)
Details were changed, but after 10 days I had to call to find our when the devices will be delivered, and got a waybill number to follow up with the courier. The couriers told me it was scheduled to be delivered the same week, but needless to say, no delivery! In fact I just checked the delivery address they have and the "non existing address" that we previously rectified with Cel C was still the address they had. That was again updated, and when I called today to check on delivery I was told that the parcel is still with them, but Cel C did not include ANY DOCUMENTATION to the parcel, so they cannot deliver until they get the documentation that needs to accompany the parcel for us to sign! HOW DOES THIS WORK?
I have been calling Cel C so many times this week, to find out about this delivery, and to put the cherry on top, only ONE device is going to be delivered, they are waiting for stock - and we were NEVER TOLD ABOUT THIS. I am very sorry but CEL C is going to lose a lot of clients, their service is terrible and I will NEVER recommend anybody to use them - ever! I honestly hope someone will reply on my complaint, but has to say I have no hope after what I experienced to date from Cel C

I am waiting for months just to get a feedback on my clearance letter but still nothing. Every-time I phone I've promised that within the next 24 hours you will receive an email. I'm still waiting for it. Why you doing this to your customers ...
I have been trying to call cellc since the beginning of August regarding my Account Clearance letter and till today I haven't received any, now my future employer is waiting for this piece of document and I am not getting any assistance. I am giving Cellc 24hrs to furnish me with my request before I escalate this matter to ombudsman.

CELL C getmore deductions from my account.
I have a Contract with Cell C. Cell C then added a Getmore service to my account WITHOUT my KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. I've been trying for Months to cancel this uknown subscription and get a refund. CELL C keeps referring me to getmore and getmore refers me to cell C. Getmore Says a cancellation has been activated yet at the end of the month, cell C deducts!
Desired outcome: Cancelation of Getmore and REFUND for every single month they have deducted for Getmore

Please note that I am writing this email with a lot of frustration and disappointment in Cell C.
I took out a contract with you guys in mid January / February for a 100GB per night and 100GB per day data sim only. There was a promotion running with CellC for this package for only R389 per month which I applied for and one of your agents contacted me and confirmed the amount of R389 per month only that will be debited from my account. I also requested for a limit to be put on the contract which your agents confirmed. Since inception of this contract I have only used it once and never again due to the negligence and CellC debiting over a R1000 per month!
I have been having problems with Cell C since I took out the contract, I have been phoning CellC numerous times and have probably spoken to over 20 people in the last 5 months due to the issues that I have been facing and for being over charged by your company. I have spoken to a Mr Thamsanca Maluleke (manager from Cell C) on 26 May 2021 who confirmed that the negligence is on CellC's side and that the agent whom I took the contract out with was suppose to apply a discount at the time I took out the contract out hence me being over charged. Please refer to case number [protected].
My problem now is that I am in the process of taking out a bond and my ITC record has now been effected because of Cell C's negligence. Your agent Miss Karabo Meje confirmed on Monday that I do not owe a cent and that there is a credit on my account which is due to me. I urgently need a letter confirming that I do not owe Cell C a cent to provide to the bond originator.
If this is not sorted out I will have to take further steps against CELL C as the service I have been getting from your Call Centre is appalling!
Your urgent assistance in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Desired outcome: please can you send me a letter stating that i do not owe Cell C anything and remove the overdue amount from my ITC record in order for me to provide proof to bond originator that i do not owe Cell C anything.

un authorise debit
I am a Cell C client for long time, I have a query one of the sales agent MBONGISENI SKOSANA (Contractor) oversell me the product. I have mention that I could not afford due to I am paying for other contracts with Cellc, now I tried calling cancellation departments and I am still not going through. They also activated a new account that I did not apply with Cellc how ever this has been deducted from my account.

Upgraded to Samsung S21.
Phoned 25/07/21 as device not yet received.
Told that Violet colour out of stock. Advised them that I did not ask for Violet and they must just send whatever colour is available. Was advised that Grey was available. The colour choice had been changed.
Phoned 28/07/21 to check if device dispatched yet.
Please note - 084 145 DOES NOT WORK FOR UPGRADES. When selecting the upgrades follow up option, you get cut off or you hear "the subscriber you dialled does not exist".
Please note staff on [protected] do not know what they are doing. I phoned four times. Each time transferred from one person to another and told a different story. The truth is nobody was able to help me. WHAT IS GOING ON? This is disgusting service.

SIM Swap
There was a house robbery where we were robbed at gunpoint, our valuables were taken including 8 cell phone in which my phone was one of the phones. I ported from Vodacom few years ago and already regretting doing that. I tried to make a sim swap which was declined due to the reason that I couldn't pass the security questions which in my view are making things too difficult for me. I had the phone's IMEI number with me, including last time the phone was used, the current airtime and data balance as well as the police case number. I know you guys claims that all this fuss is for customer safety, but it's very frustrating and in my view way out of line. Hope you will review these so called safety measures. How can one keep all the info asked of the client, we really don't keep all that because we don't expect our devices to either be stolen or lost.
Expired contract
My contract expired December 2020, I have been trying to call and e mail cell c almost every day with no success, , it's been 7 months now and the company is still deducting money from my account ... Im not even using the Sim card anymore hoping that the company would stop deducting money from me, , I am not happy at all as the company is not taking their customers serious, I am also pleading with cell c to cancel my contract as soon as possible
Cell c's get more
I have been trying to Cancel my getmore subscription since the 6th of July. every time someone form Getmore tells me that someone from the cancellations department is going to call me. I have multiple reference numbers and still haven't been called by any Getmore agent. I have waisted over R200's worth of Airtime being placed on hold every time I try and call to get this done.
You are in violation of the POPIA Act and will therefore be sued by regulators and myself if you do not comply with the cancelation and deletion of my information from getmore's database.
I have had enough of this. I don't want a refund, I just want this subscription to be cancelled ASAP.
Transfer airtime from cell c to cell c users did not go through
My USB cell c stick, [protected], indicated I had R 37.60 airtime in hand a few minutes ago. I transferred R 20 to [protected] and R 10 to [protected]. I received a message the transfers did not go through. However my airtime balance on the USB stick shows that it did go through. Please correct the problem. Thanks, Hans Lindhout

I have a galaxy note 10 lite a few months now on contract with CellC. I noticed a slight blue discoloration on the bottom of my screen this morning. I ignored it but in less than 24 hours it has now spread quite a few centimeters. (Atleast 5) I called the customer care team and I was accused of being the cause. The phone is in pristine physical condition so I did not cause this to happen, it is definitely a faulty device. She then asked if I took the contract in store or over the phone to sway me to go in store but she couldn't when I said I took it over the phone. I asked to log a complaint so I have a reference number for this situation and she insisted that she cannot log any ticket or complaint over the phone and that I need to email for a complaint. This situation is outrageous, I never would've renewed my contract if I knew CellC would give me problems like this.
Desired outcome: Cancel my contract and take back this phone.
No reception
I live in the Cato Ridge area in KZN and since the onslaught of the rioting and looting, this area has no Cell C reception.
I went to the Cell C shop in our local shopping mall only to be told I must sort it out myself! I pay for a service and expect to get service.
Can you please advise as to when this problem will be resolved? There are other people in our area who have the same problem. We are cut off from our contacts who think there is something amiss with us.

Blocked my line when I requested them not to renew my contract as my husband passed away in aug 2019
I have emailed and contacted Cell C and attached my IDm My husbands ID, and his death certificate on several occasions and it is note noted on their system. I am 63with comorbidities and they keep sending airtime and data which I have not used and they now blocked my line. My otp for the bank goes to that number and I cannot order online food of pay my bills. They have an absolute fool of me by ignoring to call me back. I have spoken to Managers with empty promises and find myself calling them on a daily basis.
Desired outcome: to unblock my phone and not renew the contact
Sim swap
I lost my cellphone non 05/07/2021 with sim card in phone, I bought a new sim card to do a sim swap has I have used my number for more then 5 years. I contacted customer services on 06/07/2021 to do sim swap, I failed, the agent advised that I go to my nearest cell c branch and they will assist me, on 07/07/2021, I did that, but the lady at the cell c branch, uitenhage, stopped in the door saying they cant help me and said customer service lied to me. Feeling frustrated and angry because for the mere fact loayalty at cell c doesn't count, and I felt betrayed because no matter who said what, I always defended cell c network. Now I tried the sim swap again on 12/07/2021 and this time I told the agent I dont know how much data was on the lost sim card, and like I told her I failed again. Her advice go to your nearest branch for assistance after I told her what happened last week at my nearest branch. So what do I do now, move on change my network and start a fresh, warn friends and relatives about my experience. #confused#frustrated#angry#dissapointed# cell c staff linking the word lied to customer service#

CellC plays mind games... to kill you financially
All my CellC accounts are on Debit order and have been for years. CellC clearly did something on their side and the Fibre payments were not debited off my bank account, it seems for months. Now suddenly CellC hits me with a R3, 596.00 bill that I must pay once off! I don't have a JOB and haven't had one since 2016 after a bike accident. I DONT have that money to pay and it's going to keep on growing! So THIS is what CellC does when they are financially strapped... they ignore debit orders from your account for months and then once it's a proper couple of thousand outstanding, then they take you to court for more money...! Right? FYI: Never ever at any time did I get any notification either via email, SMS or phone call from CellC saying that the debit orders for Fibre did not go off/received. I already brought this to their attention last month (15th Jun 2021), but once again staff at CellC doesn't bother to reply to your emails or even give you a call. Scaly much?!

I just now (14:38) received a phone call from a lady called Ms Ntombi Koza (not sure about spelling), basically telling me that it's my own problem if I don't have the money to pay the full outstanding amount!
I told her that I want to speak to someone more superior and she advised me that this wouldn't change the fact that the money is outstanding.
AGAIN I say... It's a DEBIT order that CellC put into place and NOT my responsibility to make sure they do the DEBIT order deductions each month.
Now CellC slaps me in the face by telling a salesperson from CellC to call me, to tell me that it's too bad that this money is outstanding!
CellC has no morals, clearly.
I'm sick and tired of CellC doing as they please...
I have proof of everything I state here.
Desired outcome: Full amount (R3,596.00) be cancelled and i be finanically compensated by Cell C, for emotional distress and time spent for trying to sort this out, without any help/assistance from Cell C.

Phone Blacklisting
Good Morning
I have lost my phone on the 27Jun 2021, I have phoned cell c help to blacklist the phone, they asked me questions then I failed the questionnaire. They told me to phone again and try to remember I told the lady that I cannot recall when last I recharged airtime and the method I used to recharge as the phone was used by son most of the time for games and we normally using wifi at home so we were not loading any data, So the lady told me to go to the store they will be able to help me there, I did visit the hemmiways cellc store on the 29 Jun 2021 I was given a form to fill it in and they asked for the box of the phone I gave them everything they asked. They told me it takes 48 to 72Hrs to be finalised. On Sunday the 4th of July I visited the store again to check the process, I was told it is not done, and if I cannot answer the questions correctly theres nothing they can do, I ask the lady that can't they ask any further questions they say no. I told them I want to claim frm Insurance and the time is running out. I left the store without any help. I phoned the store again on Wednesday A guy with the name Lutho tried to help he told to phone again cause on the system it shows that it is not done he is going to do a follow up . I phoned again he told that they saying my ID is not clear and one number from MIE so I did sent the ID COPY, DRIVES LICENSE and the MIE number. They have been quiet since then. My worry is I am running out of time

Cell C Direct False Pretence
I will continue to complain through every channel I possibly can until my issue is resolved. I will also continue to NOT RECOMMEND CellC to everybody I come across.
My frustrations with Cell C stems from the 18th of June 2021 where I decided to upgrade from my iPhone 11 to the iPhone 12 Pro. I confirmed stock with the consultant Thulisile Radebe who either lied about availability to get me to sign so she can meet target or didn't know about the stock at all… I went ahead and placed my order and the consultant advised it would be 5-7 working days before I get my new phone.
After allowing said period to pass, I called the Cell C Direct dept and got told the phone is out of stock and they cannot advise when it will be available. I called again a day or two later and got told it was in stock and will be dispatched the following day… this went on until the 28th of June when I decided to go to a branch and upgrade there only to be told that Cell C direct has blocked me from upgrading in store. I've been struggling for 10 working days to cancel this upgrade and get a phone through the outlet near me but they seem to have no way of canceling an upgrade order.
I called today and got told that stock is coming next week. There is clearly no stock of the phone and they continue to sign people up knowing that they don't have stock.
CellC is sub par as far as customer service is concerned and complaints department is also non existent.

Contract issues

I would like to file a complaint with regards to the contract (data) I had with cell c
Late last year, which was about 3months before my data contract had to come to an end, a cell c consultant called me to offer me a new parckage of which I agreed, I so then asked her when the new package would start as I will not be able to pay 2 contracts at the same time, she specified that the new package would start when my current contract comes to an end in january. The next day I called in to let them know not to go ahead with the new contract and they called me a week later confirming that the upgrade has been cancelled, that is when the problem started
The very next month I was loaded with less data that was actually not on my parkage and not even what we agreed to with regards to the new contract.
I was charged more than double the montly installements, my debit orders started bouncing month in and month out, I called in a lot of times and no one managed to help me with the situation to my setisfaction. My name has been handed over by cell c. I am now getting calls saying am owing more than r3000 to cell c of which I think it is very unfair
