Canadian Tire online ordering

We ordered fishing rods for in store pick up. It showed 20 in stock. They were on sale for a great price but couldn't make it over that day. It stated our order would be ready for pick up next day at noon and an email would be sent to come pick it up. At 1pm of the day to pick up an email was sent cancelling our order. So we called and the advisor told us to go to the store and directly speak with someone there. We went and the told us that they ran out of stock. We were left with nothing as we were leaving the next morning for vacation and relying on the order for our trip. The store made no effort to rectify the issue. They would not even discount a similar item to make up for their mistake. Even after speaking with the manager. If the staff would have picked the order on time then this issue would not have occurred. This company cannot be trusted for online orders and the customer service was so appalling. I will never order from here again and I will be taking my business where customer satisfaction comes first.

Canadian Tire rude behaviour and no communication

I went to Canadian tire to safety my vehicle at south dale location, Winnipeg. They asked me it is gonna take 2 hrs so I asked a ride to home so they told me that they will pick me up before 4pm but they didn't and on asking why, they just told me they forgot to do so with attitude. I forgot the name of the guy. I had to cab to & from for my work because of it. I want the solution right away.

Canadian Tire forgetting to check of the part where someone else will be picking up an online order

Called Prince George canadiantire this morning concerning a pickup of an order I placed. Waited a considered amount of time to speak with someone once I was transferred to online ordering department before I hung up and called again.
This time I was transferred to the duty manager that was on July 12/18 at 9:55 am. When I explained that I didn't put my husband down as the person who was going to pick up my order, she informed me that it wasn't her job to change the pickup info and I should have checked it off myself and put my husbands name down. Sometimes a person doesn't do what's required on the order forms but I didn't expect to be told it wasn't her Job. I asked to be transferred back to the front desk and I waited for awhile for someone to pick up before calling back a third time to talk to the girl at the front desk. She was more then helpful with my situation and took the 4 digit code down and my husbands name then told me he would only have to show his ID.
Customer service is always a priority no matter if it's your Job or not. That's why people come back to shop. She is working for a big corporation and should always have the customers needs in the forefront. Thank you for your time and I do hope this won't happen to somebody else

Canadian Tire unethical behaviour

I brought my car -Saturn Astra - to the Canadian Tire on Maloney Boulevard, Gatineau, Québec on July 3, 2018. The estimate I signed was for valve cover gasket replacement, spark plugs replacement, replacement of one tire and windshield washer malfunction. The total estimate was for $480. They called me back the same day and asked for an extra hour of labor to find what the problem was with the windshield washer. I gave the OK. They called me back later on that day and asked me if they could keep the car overnight because after the repairs the engine was making a lot of noise. It did not make any noise when I brought the car in. Michel Eric, Manager called me the next day to inform me that I needed a new engine because mine had died and also told me that this can happen when replacing car parts. Well, I am sure you can imagine my shock and frustration. Let me assure you that if they would have told me there was a chance that my engine would be damaged I would have never left my car or signed the estimate in the first place, I would have went elsewhere. I immediately contacted my insurance, La Capitale who opened a file. They sent an evaluator and I am waiting for the results. I spoke to Michel Eric (manager) again today and he was very ignorant. I have been without a car for a week. With all this being said, not once have they apologized, let alone admit that they are responsable. Michel Eric is a horrible representation for your franchise.

I posted this message/complaint believing it was being sent to the Canadian Tire head office in privacy. I have tried to remove this post and close this account but have been unsuccessful. I then contacted Complaints Board and asked them how it could be removed. They informed me that they do not remove anything. It should be my own right to remove any personal information about me and my situation that I personally posted. Sounds illegal to me. Is there anyone who knows what I could do about this?

Canadian Tire customer service-manager adam at dalhousie location

I bought a bike in the store and tried to pick it up twice. It was found parts missing each time, so I couldn't take it. In this situation, manager Adam didn't come help even when he was just beside me. All I wanted was just an apology. Adam didn't not express any sympathy or apology. Instead, he was just arguing with me about how it's not an issue. He asked me to fill up a form to their technician to explain my situation for a product I had never taken home and walk away. It was the worst customer service I have ever had. Manager Adam seems very racist to me.

Canadian Tire customer service

Had a rain check for an item (product # 0762934 6) from the orangeville store due to them being sold out. The brampton trinity commons store had them in stock. My husband phoned the brampton store and an employee, Alex, said he would put one aside for us to pick up at the customer service desk by 6 pm that evening. Apparently the customer service desk closes at 6 so we made arrangements to be there before that time. I arrived shortly after 5pm to wait in a sizable line up. Once at the front of the line i was informed that the item was not brought up but the sales person called the sporting area to have someone bring the item up. I paid for the item and waited, and waited and waited. I finally asked the woman if it would be faster if i got the item myself. She agreed it probably would. I hustled back to such a disorganized mess that it wasn't a wonder the item couldn't be found. After a fruitless search of 5 minutes, with no help from staff, even when asked, i returned to the front to get a refund and leave. A complete waste of time. I will never return to that store under the current management. What a disaster.

Canadian Tire I am complaining about a very rude employee in the north red deer location

I needed help for some items in the gardeneing section. I saw this man walk up and his name tag read ''Sean'', i asked him for help and all I got was a very rude and uproffesional answer. He told me he was the manager here and that this wasn't his problem. He half-heartedly told me to find someone else.
I don't usually complain about employees but this was one of the worst experiences for me and I hope some kind of action will be taken against this person.

Canadian Tire garrison 2 keyed entry knobs, 2 single-cylinder deadbolts #[protected]

On Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 10:56:59 I both a Garrison DBL CMBO from Canadian Tire store #278. I went to install these door handles. I installed the door handle without any problems. However, when I took the deadbolt sleeve out, the bar slid out on its own. I knew that this was wrong and after further investigation noticed that a piece of plastic was missing from the component. I returned to Canadian Tire and went to the service desk. When I explained that I was sold a defective product, the lady at the desk told me to go get another box of door knobs. I returned to the service desk and the lady opened the new box, took out a new deadbolt gave it to me and put the defective product back in the new box. She then asked for my driver's license to do an exchange.
Two things: The fact that she put the defective product back into the new box leads me to think that it is Canadian Tire's policy to sell defective products and hope that the customer does not return the defective products due to the pace of life. Secondly, this should not have needed to be an exchange as the store was in the wrong. Also, that I bought the product with my Triangle card and that should of been sufficient for an exchange not my driver's license.

Canadian Tire windshield replacement

Name: [removed]
Personal Cell: [removed]
Store Location: Canadian Tire Associate Store
Invoice Number: [removed]

Hello Sir/Madam,
I am writing you today to complain about my horrible experience with Canadian Tire Auto Service. I called this location on Saturday the 29th of June about replacing my windshield and they said they could not do it that day but I could call back Tuesday (because Monday was a holiday). I called back on Tuesday as requested and they told me the person was unavailable and gave me an appointment for Wednesday 10AM. Up until this point, everything was fine. I arrived at the Canadian Tire Auto Service at 9:50AM Wednesday morning and gave my keys to Adrian, the manager. I asked him how long it would take and he said 1.5 hours. I said that is fine and went to a nearby coffee shop. When I returned at 10:35AM, my car was still outside in the parking lot. I went into the Canadian Tire store and ended up waiting there until 12:45PM. I asked one of the Customer Service representatives, Jackie, about the status on the repair since it was taking so long. I waited for 3 hours and my car was not ready yet. She said that she did not have the invoice or any information about the car (Dodge Avenger 2010). She inquired inside the shop for about 5 minutes, returned to me, and said that she did not know where my car was. I asked her if I could talk to the manager and so she sent him to me. I asked Adrian why this service is taking 3 hours when he told me it would take 1.5hours. He said, "the guy that fixes and provides the store this service came late." I asked him "Why didn't you call me and inform me that the repair will take longer knowing that I'm waiting here." - (I provided him my number to call me if needed during the repair when I gave him the keys). He said, "I can't do anything for you but you can write a complaint." I told him "who's going to pay me for my time that I've wasted here? If the person came late, that is not my problem. Why didn't you tell me before?" He reiterated that he could not do anything for me. I said to him that I came to Canadian Tire because I am a loyal customer and trust Canadian Tire's service to do the job properly and not through a third party/random person. When researching, I found other auto class places that were going to charge me $200. I chose Canadian Tire because of the trust and punctuality in the company and accepted that I would be paying $300+tax. He didn't acknowledge my comments nor did he offer an apology. To end the conversation, he told me that he would be back in a few minutes to give me the car and invoice. Upon giving me the invoice, I noticed it was incomplete. He charged me the $300+tx for the windshield but didn't include any information about the warranty that they promised me or the labour. This is completely unacceptable because as I said, I am a loyal customer to Canadian Tire and this invoice was very sketchy and unprofessional. I told him that this was not the customer service that Canadian Tire usually provides. When giving me the car back, I noticed the yellow tape was left on the windshield. I asked Adrian about the yellow tape and he said, "Tomorrow, just take it off." I had no choice but to continue on my errands (which I was now late for) driving all around Toronto. When I got home, I looked at videos online and I could not find any examples of anyone driving away after this type of service with tape on their windshield. Is this the reputation of Canadian Tire? Is this satisfactory work? Not to me. Not only is this unsafe, but this isn't my job. What happens if something happened to the windshield while I finish their job? I will have to pay for it! Not them!
As you will see in the attached pictures, they did not a horrible and unprofessional job in replacing my windshield. You can compare the windshield before to the windshield that they put in today. You will see the bottom corners are not sealed properly nor is the top sealed. The side stripe is also very dirty.
As I said, I'm extremely disappointed and upset at this experience. I am at the very least expecting a full refund from this uncomfortable situation. Do you realize how much distress you put me through because it's embarrassing and acts as a distractive device to other drivers which puts my safety at risk. Also, having to spend the time to write this letter and return to the store tomorrow to get them to fix the gaping holes. I have to take time from work, and time out of my day to fix this problem, which should have been a routine replacement. I am writing this letter because the customer service at this store location needs to be addressed. I felt like I was unwelcome and my comments weren't taken seriously. I'm choosing to write you this letter instead of posting my pictures and videos on social media/news outlets.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Best Regards,

Canadian Tire vehicle repair

I had my car towed St Clair Ave w in Toronto after the power completely shut down. They completed a diagnosis and told me the alternator and battery needed to be replaced. After looking into I found a recall on the alternator so I declined the repairs and had my car towed to a dealership. They also completed a diagnosis and the battery was completely fine. They replaced the alternator and car drives wonderfully. Very disappointed at the attempt to have me pay for unneeded parts.

Canadian Tire portable air conditioner / bad quality products and services

I bought a portable air conditioner on July 2nd at Canadian Tire Eaton Centre. I did open the box and try it for 30 min but the AC did not work perfectly as my room is still hot.
Then, I called the online customer service to ask them about my situation to ensure if I could make a refund or exchange. Hence, the ac was very heavy and I had to take the Uber to get there. They said I can do the refund or exchange.
A day later July 3rd, I brought the AC to the store and spoke to Robin who was a store manager I guess. He said I couldn't do the refund as I did open it and use. And he offered me for a store credit, then I can go other Canadian store to purchase another AC as this store had no more AC at that time.
I said it doesn't mean use, just tried because depending on products. Especially the ac, if I don't try it, how do I know it works or not. And the product is not good at all as I mentioned above.
I could go to another store but I dont wanna buy the same product name and I have the right to choose what I want.
The manager said if I returned they couldn't resale it. I agreed that some products if you opened and tried, they would be garbage or they couldn't fix and resale it but this is different. And they have to be responsible for what they sale.
Secondly, if they said they couldn't resale it why they do the exchange instead of giving money back? Basically they can do that, they just don't wanna give me $379 back which is too much.
The store cannot force me to buy only their product even though it's not good quality or pay me back by store credit following their policies.

Even though I accepted the store credit because I dont have time to just stood there and argued with the store manager, I am not happy at all and feel like I was defrauded. Moreover, i never thought that you are a big company, but your policies and the way you treat your customer are very very bad.

Canadian Tire Bike

I would like to speak to someone with recent problems while trying to purchase a bike at ctc. Firstly, I have to tell you that money in limited for me. I had to save up to be able to afford a new bike. Mine is old and no longer safe. Once I found a bike that would be perfect for me (and was on sale) I went to our local canadian tire. When I finally found someone to help, they brought the bike down for me to test ride. The bike was nice, but the right brake was squeaking. I asked if someone was there who could fix it and was told that the bike assembler quit and they were looking for a new person. I called the next day and spoke to the manager and he said that was no the case. They did have an assembler but he was only in on thursday afternoons. Really? One half day, once a week. I found that terrible. It is summer time and bikes are on sale. Why is there only one person there for a few hours one day per week. Anyways, I asked the manager if anyone else in the store has bike knowledge. He said yes and he would have them look it over. They called me and said that the bike was still squeaking after they attempted some repairs, so I would have to wait until the 'bike guy' came in on thursday. Friday morning and I still hadn't heard anything. 7 days had passed since I first came in. I called the manager back and he said the bike was repaired and I was called. I was not called. I always have my cell with me and no calls were missed, no messages left. Once again I went down to the store. Found the bike they said had been repaired and was very excited to be able to finally take my new bike home. Did a test ride in store and the left brake was now squeaking more severely than the right one was (the right one was repaired). Frustrating! Of course it was friday now so the bike guy wouldn't be in until the following thursday to fix the left brake and the manager had left for the day. I was furious. Not only was the bike not ready, but no one in the store was helpful or sympathetic to my plight. No offers made to try and do something for me so that I could get my bike back sooner. I left the bike there and went home empty handed and very saddened. You may be thinking how petty of me, but please believe me when I tell you that my bike is very important to me. I am a 2 time cancer survivor and my bike is my only way to get around in the spring, summer and fall and is my relief from my life struggles. I needed a new bike. I was excited about getting my new bike. I was looking forward to enjoying a new bike. Canadian tire took that away from me. My girlfriend was with me at the time - she was taking me to the store to pick up the bike with her truck. She saw a bike she was going to purchase as well for her daughter. Once she took it for a test ride - she left the bike there as well. The brakes (both) were squeaking very loudly. Hmmmmm. Does the bike assembler, just assemble or does canadian tire have people who actually knows bikes. It doesn't appear so. I am now in a position to have to search again for another bike (on sale) that I can afford and that I will like and that will be put together properly. Can canadian tire help me with that? Cdn tire lost 2 purchases that day worth hundreds of dollars. The picture I am attaching is of the flyer, showing the bike I had intended to buy. When I arrived at the store initially, they only had the youth model, and no one could find the woman's model. I need a woman's model. The one that they did have there was an awful green colour (or I may have considered it). A lady in store did find another ccm model that was on sale for a slightly lesser price. It was ok, although not what I had hoped for - that is the model on the orange piece of paper written and attached at the top of the flyer - and the one they failed to repair properly. I would like what is advertised. I would like the one on sale for $ 199.99 the ccm model (woman's bike) 26" mountain bike in a decent color - like the white and black one in the picture - or at least something similar. My friends are telling me to buy off kijiji - but I said why would I do that when I have a canadian tire in town that had bike sales all the time - and I would have a new bike - not someones used one. I need (because of my health issues) a bike that is safe. Can someone please help me! Summer is short.

Canadian Tire auto center.

June15th, I broke down on highway 400 just outside of Coldwater Ontario. I had my car towed to Parry sound, my destination. I informed the auto department I was on route. I was happy my car(Ford Expedition) would be looked at that day as they said it wasn't busy. My car was dropped from the tow truck unable to start, 3 young mechanics told me to put it in a space, they watched while I and my crippled friend pushed it into a parking space.Later that day they called and said I needed a new compressor, at a minimum of 1200.00 plus tax. I called my mechanic, who has looked after my car for years, told me that they can bypass the compressor and I could drive it home. I informed Canadian tire that's what I wanted them to do. I was told that they could do that on most cars but not mine. It sounded like a lot of money which I don't have readily available. I decided to have it towed back to my mechanic. Canadian tire told me nastily to remove my vehicle pronto from there lot. It cost me 80.00 to have it towed to Oastler lake provincial park where I was camping. I thought I could have it towed from Canadian tire. Attitude was terrible. My mechanic bypassed the compressor, I drove it for 4 days. The new compressor cost me 650.00 installed. I am thankful for CAA. This company cannot get away with treating people like this. They obviously thought I was a cottagers and had me in a corner. Watch out people visiting Parry sound.

Canadian Tire pop-up gazebo broken when purchased

My husband and I purchased a pop-up Gazebo for party in the park in Whitecourt at Canadian tire. When he start to put up the Gazebo, he found out that it was broken. We didn't get the chance to return the Gazebo because we both are working and usually came home late. We phoned Canadian tire and we asked about the return policy .The person who answered the phone told us once we could get a chance, we can return it.

Yesterday, we went to the store around 7:15 pm June 26, 2018 for the refund of our money $149.++Samantha started to process our refund but she needs an approval from the supervisor. The supervisor named Elisa came and we discussed our concern. She refused to refund the money because she was telling to us about the Woods policy has 7 days warranty only and 90 days for refund but it had to be unopened. Other cashier named Shayla said" how could they know it was broken if he never opened it". The supervisor was being very rude and very nasty to us and even to her cashiers. She asked us to bring back our Gazebo and she still need to phone the Woods manufacturer if they are willing to return the money to Canadian Tire!

This kind of attitude is not suitable to be in the customer service industry. Elisa is in a supervisory position. She should know how to talk with respect to her customer but most of all, she should know her job entails. It was too disappointing.

Today, I spoke with Linda, department manager and she resolved the issue quickly and in a professional manner. Thanks so much ch for Samantha, Shayla, Julie Skiffingfon and Linda for the excellent customer service you provided regarding on this issue.

Mr.& Mrs. Gould

Canadian Tire stock

Product #037-1111-4
2 IN STOCK - MIDLAND, ON (as of 6:43 PM)

I checked the website at 10am this morning and two of Product #037-1111-4 were in stock, so I went to Midland to measure the box at 5.30pm and was advised that they didn't have any in stock so I checked the internet when I got home and as you can see above "Midland should still have two in stock" so I wasted my time and cost of gas to go to Midland because the internet is NOT updated. The person I spoke to just confirmed that they didn't have any in stock even though I advised that according to the internet they should have two, then she just didn't comment. I am extremely upset with the service of Canadian Tire.
I wait to hear from you

Canadian Tire auto service

I have purchased brand new tires which are Pirelli centurato p7 all season plus for my 2016 jeep Cherokee at saskatoon east Canadian tire. They have installed all the new tires and since then i have vibrations in the car when i go over 100kmh on highways. I took it to the Canadian tire east store in Saskatoon and they were blaming my car is defect but i drive a 2016 jeep cherokee which is just 2 years old with 45k kms on it. I took it to Humboldt Canadian tire store and they checked it and they said the tires aren't balanced, which is strange as they have to be balanced for the new tires. I took it to the canadian tire east in saskatoon again and told them that the tires weren't balanced properly but the manager named Rob is not ready to listen my issue. Then i took my car to west side canadian store in confederation mall when they diagnosed it they told me the 3 tires weren't balanced and they fixed it. So i have wasted a week making trips to different canadian tire stores for just installing new tires whis is really bothering me as the vibrating on highways is still existing and no one is able to fix the issue. I am repenting a lot that, why did i went to canadian tire to install new tires.

who is going to justify my problem and the time i have lost at work. I want new tires because i am pretty sure they might have installed some defect tires.

Canadian Tire service at canadian tire in mission location

Hi, I noticed a 6' bifold white table in our flyer for $49.99 and was interested in purchasing it. I entered the store and saw 3 carts at the entry and tried to take one as I needed one to transport the table from the shelf to the check out. Unfortunately they were all stuck together and I was unable to get one. There was no others available in the store. I proceeded to look for the table of interest and found one (or what exactly fit the discription of the item) with the sale tag in front of it. I tried to find someone to help me carry it to the front of the store to pay for it but was unable to find anyone to help. I then proceeded to the front and to the cashier. I asked if I could have someone bring the table up to the cashier so that I could purchase it. They called someone but told me there was none in stock. I asked to have someone meet me at the shelf to show them there was some. The sales associate met me there and saw what I saw and carried the table to the front for me. The cashier scanned the table and told me it was the wrong table and that this one was $70. I went back to the shelf and brought the tag to them and was again told they were two separate tables. I asked to talk to the manager and again we went back to the shelf where I was informed again that this was not the table on sale for $49.99 and that this table and the $70 table "share a home because it a small store". I was shown a much smaller price take off to the side with the $70 tag.
I told the manager I believed that was false advertising and suggested they take down the the bigger incurrent tag that was directly below the table and asked if there was any of the proper table in stock and was told no.
I asked the manager if I could get the table on the shelf for the price I believed it was and she said no. I informed her I would like to file a complaint for false advertising. She asked if I'd like to speak to "a higher up manager" I said sure. The next manager that came out was confused with the table/ price situation but the first manager explained the situation. He too said that that table was $70 and would not sell it to me for $49.99 and did not agree that it was false advertising and refused to take down the incorrect price. At this point I was very frustrated and said I could have it for the last sale price and walked away. I purchased the item $59.99. And left frustrated.

Canadian Tire very poor packaging

I was in to Canadian tire in summerside PEI to buy a 12 tonne bottle Jack. I grabbed the back and proceeded to the checkout. Once at the checkout, I lifted the back up to out it in the counter and the bottom of the box gave out. The back came completely out of the box and came crashing down onto both of me knees. It scraped my up and bruised me pretty good...luckily enough I was able to get my feet out of the way before it crushed my foot. You should really look at getting some vinyl strapping around these jacks before sometging more serious happens.

Canadian Tire cashier, compliant at the canadian tire where is london south on.

I was embarrassed by the cashier who named Wendy. This is absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went into your store at 5 PM today the Canadian Tire located at London South Ontario.
I had tried buying Fishing gear and Licence from Wendy who has worked at London South Ontario.
she ask me "how long have you been in Ontario". Actually I am new to Ontario. But I had lived in S. K 3 years after I moved to London. So I said "I have live in Ontario for 2 month. she reject to sell the Fishing licence. because I did live in Ontario over 6 month. I knew that is the rule. So I said"I have live in Canada for 3 years. "she said"I do not believe that. because you are not good at English". she was so strict. I am significant embarrassed. because I was with my girlfriend. Actually Wendy who is Cashier is British. So it is hard me to listen. So I ask her someone else who speak Canadian English. but she said"No". Do I have to be good at English to buy fishing gear at the Canadian tire?. I paid over $150. but I was a child in front of Wendy who worked at the Canadian tire, Although she did not serve good. Because she did not ask me membership card. So I did not save the point.
I do not need the point that is why I will not go the Canadian tire anymore.
I wrote this. Because I concern about customer service of Canadian tire.
Thanks.
