pop-up gazebo broken when purchased
My husband and I purchased a pop-up Gazebo for party in the park in Whitecourt at Canadian tire. When he start to put up the Gazebo, he found out that it was broken. We didn't get the chance to return the Gazebo because we both are working and usually came home late. We phoned Canadian tire and we asked about the return policy .The person who answered the phone told us once we could get a chance, we can return it.
Yesterday, we went to the store around 7:15 pm June 26, 2018 for the refund of our money $149.++Samantha started to process our refund but she needs an approval from the supervisor. The supervisor named Elisa came and we discussed our concern. She refused to refund the money because she was telling to us about the Woods policy has 7 days warranty only and 90 days for refund but it had to be unopened. Other cashier named Shayla said" how could they know it was broken if he never opened it". The supervisor was being very rude and very nasty to us and even to her cashiers. She asked us to bring back our Gazebo and she still need to phone the Woods manufacturer if they are willing to return the money to Canadian Tire!
This kind of attitude is not suitable to be in the customer service industry. Elisa is in a supervisory position. She should know how to talk with respect to her customer but most of all, she should know her job entails. It was too disappointing.
Today, I spoke with Linda, department manager and she resolved the issue quickly and in a professional manner. Thanks so much ch for Samantha, Shayla, Julie Skiffingfon and Linda for the excellent customer service you provided regarding on this issue.

Product #037-1111-4
2 IN STOCK - MIDLAND, ON (as of 6:43 PM)
I checked the website at 10am this morning and two of Product #037-1111-4 were in stock, so I went to Midland to measure the box at 5.30pm and was advised that they didn't have any in stock so I checked the internet when I got home and as you can see above "Midland should still have two in stock" so I wasted my time and cost of gas to go to Midland because the internet is NOT updated. The person I spoke to just confirmed that they didn't have any in stock even though I advised that according to the internet they should have two, then she just didn't comment. I am extremely upset with the service of Canadian Tire.
I wait to hear from you

I have purchased brand new tires which are Pirelli centurato p7 all season plus for my 2016 jeep Cherokee at saskatoon east Canadian tire. They have installed all the new tires and since then i have vibrations in the car when i go over 100kmh on highways. I took it to the Canadian tire east store in Saskatoon and they were blaming my car is defect but i drive a 2016 jeep cherokee which is just 2 years old with 45k kms on it. I took it to Humboldt Canadian tire store and they checked it and they said the tires aren't balanced, which is strange as they have to be balanced for the new tires. I took it to the canadian tire east in saskatoon again and told them that the tires weren't balanced properly but the manager named Rob is not ready to listen my issue. Then i took my car to west side canadian store in confederation mall when they diagnosed it they told me the 3 tires weren't balanced and they fixed it. So i have wasted a week making trips to different canadian tire stores for just installing new tires whis is really bothering me as the vibrating on highways is still existing and no one is able to fix the issue. I am repenting a lot that, why did i went to canadian tire to install new tires.
who is going to justify my problem and the time i have lost at work. I want new tires because i am pretty sure they might have installed some defect tires.
service at canadian tire in mission location
Hi, I noticed a 6' bifold white table in our flyer for $49.99 and was interested in purchasing it. I entered the store and saw 3 carts at the entry and tried to take one as I needed one to transport the table from the shelf to the check out. Unfortunately they were all stuck together and I was unable to get one. There was no others available in the store. I proceeded to look for the table of interest and found one (or what exactly fit the discription of the item) with the sale tag in front of it. I tried to find someone to help me carry it to the front of the store to pay for it but was unable to find anyone to help. I then proceeded to the front and to the cashier. I asked if I could have someone bring the table up to the cashier so that I could purchase it. They called someone but told me there was none in stock. I asked to have someone meet me at the shelf to show them there was some. The sales associate met me there and saw what I saw and carried the table to the front for me. The cashier scanned the table and told me it was the wrong table and that this one was $70. I went back to the shelf and brought the tag to them and was again told they were two separate tables. I asked to talk to the manager and again we went back to the shelf where I was informed again that this was not the table on sale for $49.99 and that this table and the $70 table "share a home because it a small store". I was shown a much smaller price take off to the side with the $70 tag.
I told the manager I believed that was false advertising and suggested they take down the the bigger incurrent tag that was directly below the table and asked if there was any of the proper table in stock and was told no.
I asked the manager if I could get the table on the shelf for the price I believed it was and she said no. I informed her I would like to file a complaint for false advertising. She asked if I'd like to speak to "a higher up manager" I said sure. The next manager that came out was confused with the table/ price situation but the first manager explained the situation. He too said that that table was $70 and would not sell it to me for $49.99 and did not agree that it was false advertising and refused to take down the incorrect price. At this point I was very frustrated and said I could have it for the last sale price and walked away. I purchased the item $59.99. And left frustrated.
very poor packaging
I was in to Canadian tire in summerside PEI to buy a 12 tonne bottle Jack. I grabbed the back and proceeded to the checkout. Once at the checkout, I lifted the back up to out it in the counter and the bottom of the box gave out. The back came completely out of the box and came crashing down onto both of me knees. It scraped my up and bruised me pretty good...luckily enough I was able to get my feet out of the way before it crushed my foot. You should really look at getting some vinyl strapping around these jacks before sometging more serious happens.
cashier, compliant at the canadian tire where is london south on.
I was embarrassed by the cashier who named Wendy. This is absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went into your store at 5 PM today the Canadian Tire located at London South Ontario.
I had tried buying Fishing gear and Licence from Wendy who has worked at London South Ontario.
she ask me "how long have you been in Ontario". Actually I am new to Ontario. But I had lived in S. K 3 years after I moved to London. So I said "I have live in Ontario for 2 month. she reject to sell the Fishing licence. because I did live in Ontario over 6 month. I knew that is the rule. So I said"I have live in Canada for 3 years. "she said"I do not believe that. because you are not good at English". she was so strict. I am significant embarrassed. because I was with my girlfriend. Actually Wendy who is Cashier is British. So it is hard me to listen. So I ask her someone else who speak Canadian English. but she said"No". Do I have to be good at English to buy fishing gear at the Canadian tire?. I paid over $150. but I was a child in front of Wendy who worked at the Canadian tire, Although she did not serve good. Because she did not ask me membership card. So I did not save the point.
I do not need the point that is why I will not go the Canadian tire anymore.
I wrote this. Because I concern about customer service of Canadian tire.
Thanks.
cashier and management/ customer service
I went into your store today the Canadian Tire located at Main and Danforth and was deeply disturbed by another incident with a customer. A black man was shopping and was asked by what seemed to be a cash manager (white woman, perhaps in her 50s) and asked repeatedly to pay for an item that he was not holding. My mother and I stood in shock as he proceeded to defend himself (he had come in to get a credit card and was innocently standing at cash asking a cashier for assistance). The woman stood there smirking the entire time as the man broke down clearly enraged, another woman stepped in to help him and was there with her children. The same woman manager proceeded to make comments about the children and how they should be embarrassed by their behavior to be so angry and yelling infront of their kids. I truly hope this issue was resolved, however as my mother and I left it seemed to me escalating, no thanks to your management. This type of prejudice is not okay and if it is something that Canadian Tire allows and accepts from their staff then I refuse to shop there anymore, and will absolutely spread the word to my friends and family not to as well. I hope there is action taken and that poor man and his family are compensated appropriately and apologized to.
auto service.
My engine light was on. I took car in. I spent the day waiting for it. They cleaned injectors replaced alternator and changed spark plugs. That cost 1300 dollars. On the way home light came back on and car started missing. I spent another day waiting for my car and that cost me 1100 dollars. On the way home the light came back on. I went back and they deleted the
Light but again it came back on on the way home. I can't afford to go back again. 2400 dollars and it is still not fixed. I am on senior pension and I am very disappointed with your service department. Tony Hilton.
employee was very pushy about triangle card
Me and my mother came to Canadian Tire for floor mats for the truck and windshield wipers. We were stopped by an employee who was VERY pushy and kept insisting my mother upgrade her Triangle card. Talked to us for a solid 5 minutes even though my mother told her we were not interested in the card. Eventually my mother told her we'd come back later after we thought about it. We never did, and never will.
service and flyers
In today's flyer says the weather techs are ONLY $159.99 but yet I go in and they want $340 for my truck mats! Little bit of failed advertising ! Wasted about 45 mins on poorly trained staff! 3rd time was the charm tho for me to find out when someone could actually order only $340 not 159.99! I'm not usually one to waste my time writing reviews but I can't believe how poorly trained they were and how they don't honor there flyer! Maybe get proper trained staff and writers! Good job canadian tire why to show how great of a Canadian company you are! Just look at the add only 159.99! Says nothing about any other price just a bunch of bull to get you into there way over priced store! I would much rather by Canadian products but will no longer be shopping at Canadian tire business! All of them!
car wash services
My name is Hongxia Dong, I have the car wash service on May on May 18th at the Kanata Centrum. When I got my car back at the end of day, many stains still left on the car seats including some dust at the rim of the doors and the rugs are not cleaned very well either. I paid over 200 dollar for the premium wash. I asked the staff about the situation and the director came out meeting me and looked at my car. He said maybe there is no way to get those stain cleaned. He said the store is busy with changing tires and he can wash again after the busy season and he is not guaranteed with the result. I asked him if that is the case can I get my money back, he said no. however on your advertisement it said sth else. If not garanted with the result, I won't be bothered to take my car there for a day again plus I don't feel I am valued at all. I request to get the money refund. Thank you for your attention and help
unprofessional service
Hi,
I am writing this letter to inform about an incident which happened yesterday ( June 18' 2018). I purchased a bike (supercycle nitrous full suspension bike) online as a surprise birthday gift for my husband (on 19th june). The bike was ready to pick-up within an hour.(Location: canadian tire: yonge and church- 839 Yonge street, Toronto, Ontario). I thought great ! In the evening when my brother went to pick the bike up, he saw that there was a peddle missing and the salesperson said that there was nothing he could do about it as the person who assembled the bike had left and would now come on Wednesday. My concern is that no one checked before, the bike was ready in an hour and we went 5-6 hours later and no one checked that the peddle was missing. My husband's birthday is today and we will get the bike by tomorrow evening. My surprise is ruined. Before ordering I requested the salesperson over the phone making sure that the bike would be ready by 18th or maximum 19th evening. I think the service which i got was unprofessional and below standards. I don't think I would ever recommend or shop again at any Canadian tire store again.
Resolution- i would like the bike to be repaired today -19th june so that i can still gift him the bike.
Thanks

service department, can't take appointments
this is my forth visit to 3050 Mavis rd. store, and once again I walked away disappointed with the [censored] service, counter staff moody, making assumption's
waiting for 15min. to find out that I don't have an appointment. Got back to me office, check my information to sure I was at the right store and I was, called the store talked to the counter person (female) not a nice person asked to talk to the manager, (he sounds like the person who took the appointment) he more or less there was nothing he can do other than make another appointment (WHY) when my first appointment didn't work. What are you going to do for me?
manager
To the Owner of Canadian Tire
Markham East Store at 7650 Markham Road, Markham, Ontario, L3S 4S1
My family recently has order a bicycle online for my kids. Canadian Tire has automatic e-mail me a pick up invoice. I was using that e-mail to pick it up few weeks ago.
The reason of the return, it is not suitable height for my kid. Then I asked customer service desk on the same store last few week for returning this bicycle. Help desk employee who said that will only give me in store credit.
However, the manager name - Chris who was not accept my return with anger y strong tune of voice to explain need a copy of invoice when I was tried to explain that I didn't need an statement when I was picked it up. I was only shown my email confirmation to the help desk.
Chris was continually rejected me and said that Exit is right there, exit, exit, exit. I had asked him "what is your name". He refused to tell me his whole name. All I know his name is Chris.
I was unwelcome and asked to leave this store. As a manager, does he know how to respect his customers, his duty and responsibility. It is far from the customer satisfaction. How about all other staff learn from him?
Please take a seriously action.
Thanks and Regards

checkout/customer service
On Monday I was shopping in my Canadian Tire Store located on Hebron Way, St. John's, NL. When I approached the checkout to complete my purchase, there were no cashiers. When I asked about how I could checkout, I was told that after 5 they don't have cashiers and if I wanted to checkout 8 had to use 5he automated checkout or line up in customer service. I am against automated checkout as it is a business model aimed at taking jobs from the most vulnerable in our economy. Therefore I was left with no choice but to line up with people returning items so that 8 could purchase my things. The store at Hebron Way is big and modern and I usually enjoy my experience there. This has left a very sour taste for me. To think that rather than make one cashier available, the companies preferred to inconvience a loyal customer. I counted at least 5 customers who chose to line up rather than take a job from someone. Is there no limit to corporate greed in this country when profits are put ahead of the customer. I left asking myself, "Why do I carry a loyalty card for these guys?"
customer service on price check
Canadian Tire, Marathon, ON.
I was looking for prices on kiddy pools, so I go straight to outdoors department. No one was there, so I proceed to checkout/customer service to ask for information. I was told that it was not their job and to find the department manage myself. This happened twice, along with an incident where I was able to find someone, but he had no clue on the prices and didn't even attempt to search, he just left me standing there. I am appalled and disgusted with the service!
safety inspection, customer service
Saturday, 9th June I went to Canadian Tire #258 1820 Merville Rd. Auto Service with my motorcycle Buell Blast in order to make a safety certification. After some time, I got a list of deficiencies to fix within 10 days to complete certification:
- Windshield not secured - 1 out of 4 bolts were missing - installed as requested smae day;
--Kickstand kill switch inoperable - there is no such thing on any Harley Davidson motorcycles as confirmed by Harley Davidson store (nearby) after I went there for consultation and parts;
- Front tire down to causing spots - I have new set of front and rear tires installed, there is no such thing on a brand new tires;
- Clutch not fully engaging - I went to revise it and was advised by independent mechanic that clutch is in complete order (it was tested and verified functionality), cable was tightened.
Next morning (today) I came back to the store to complete certification and meet with a Lisa (613-224-2587 ext 269) who introduced herself as a Auto Service Supervisor. I told her that half of the requirements are not applicable to my motorcycle and that they might mistakenly put those in my report. She said me that she was revising all works and my motorcycle was the only one they inspected that day. On my request why they provide misleading information to fix something that does not apply nor exists I got no answer. I said that I regret that went to their place and wasted my time looking for solution without any sense. I response, she offered me to certify it in another place. Since the service was not competed, I requested my money back in return if she does not want to assume my work done and provide me with certification. She rejected my request.
This is not a first time I face negligence, harassment and ignorance of the Canadian Tire personnel and in particular at this location.
Since Canadian Tire does not have highly experienced personnel for motorcycles(as I was informed over the phone):
- why you even taking any for a such important thing as safety certification and mislead customers?
- why your personnel gives misleading instructions and refuse to complete the paid job?
- why your personnel waste my weekend time and make me run in my weekend to do something that even does not make sense for anyone involving me in additional expenses?
- what kind of authority Service Supervisor has in order to send me out from the store and not provide me with service required in accordance with purchase agreement?
I have no other options as to submit my complain and observations to Ministry of Consumer, Ministry of Transportation, Ombudsman and my bank for refund if the situation will not be resolved on Monday, 11 June 18. I have a temporary sticker on my license plate which expires this week.
auto care service
I received the worst service at your Auto centre at the 0031 McLaughlin Rd Canadian Tire. I came in to receive a specific service on my tire, a replacement of my valve tire stem. When I was informed that my tire was unrepairable after they dismounted it I was not informed that my replacement tires that I had to get dropped off to me would incur a charge. The staff at the front end didn't check to see if they had another tire to mount on so I was left to bring my own. The store manager Harry Pannu didn't provide any method of reconciliation for the service I did not receive and in turn blamed it on me for expecting "a free service". I felt both disrespected and belittled by Mr. Pannu and will never be returning to this location again. It is unreasonable to charge someone for a service they did not receive and force them to pay for something that I had no other choice in doing. As someone who represents the face of the company there should be a certain level of empathy and respect when addressing a situation where the service asked for was not provided. Having an individual as such in a position of Leadership and management reflects strongly onto the poor service that I have received today and I will be looking to follow up in the future on this matter.
car service from kanata store
The worst customer service I have seen. Few days back I had my tire change and rust proof coating under my car. After few days I heard weird noises from under the car and found the splash plate was not attached from rear end under the car. I went there to ask them to fix. Not only they refused to accept the mistake (attitude) even they charged to fix it. It not about money but its shame for $34 they have lost there customer. I wont recommend anyone to go canadian tire garage.
