Burger King review: Cash

Around 2:20 yesterday, January 20, 2021, through the drive through, I ordered for my grandson, bill was $5.64.. I gave cashier $20.64, which I saw her key in and place in drawer. I looked away and she handed me my receipt, which I put in the open section of my car console. She then handed me his drink, straw and then bag of food. I am a frequent customer of all Burger Kings, especially this one on the way to take my grandson to York. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes down the road, my grandson asked about the $15.00 change and always, always I have been given my receipt with the cash folded in it, or my debit card folded into the receipt as well. I told him to grab the receipt and the cash, well, the cash was not in the receipt. He immediately checked the console, no cash. He then, as I was driving, called the number on the receipt to speak with Sheila the name on the receipt; however, their phone line rang busy. As I drove he kept calling, and still busy immediately. I returned to Burger King about 45 or 50 minutes later, went in and spoke with someone, actually 3 ladies were there at this time. I politely said I know the cashier may have thought I gave her maybe $5.64 but it was $20.64 as she typed on the receipt which I showed them, explained that I have been trying the call. One young lady told me that the menu board was acting up and someone was coming to fix it and it made their phone mess up. Showed them my phone calls but my grandson had numerous ones on his phone as well. They seemed to doubt my request, but took the cash drawer and came back and said that it was not $15.00 over. I told them, I was an honest senior citizen and that I was a Notary for the last 40 years and that I had previously worked for years as a legal secretary and that I would never accuse someone of not returning this money but that it happened. The one young lady said she was closing last night and asked for my name and number and receipt which I gave her both and that she would tally up the monies and give me a call one way or another, at that they all walked off and left me at the counter, and as of 3:00 pm today, January 21, 2021 no one has called me.
