When dropping off a Toyota RAV4 at the Tampa Intl Airport the attendant instructed me to leave the keys in the vehicle. I dropped the keys in the cup holder and my wife and I got out and closed the doors. The vehicle locked behind us, with our luggage still inside. They were not able to get it opened, they stated they would have a locksmith unlock the vehicle and send our items to us.

While we were there this happened to 2 other customers, the difference being they opened the rear hatch prior to leaving the vehicle but it still locked with the keys inside. The attendants had to crawl through the vehicle to unlock it, setting off the alarm.

Although I don't agree that I should go to the 'lost and found' department, our items weren't lost, they were locked in the vehicle. However, I did create two lost item reports [protected] & [protected], since there is a character limit I needed to create two reports. The first one I listed the type of carry on bags our it items were in, the second one I created I listed the items that are specifically listed on the lost and found website that match what was in our bags.

I have been trying to contact someone regarding our items and to arrange returning them to us. Our Items are in Tampa FL, we live in the St. Louis area. The number I call, [protected], continually goes to a voice mailbox that is full. When I call [protected], and select the option for lost and found, I get a message saying due to an unanticipated event you are unable to answer my call and I should call back later.

Desired outcome: I would like to speak to a live person to arrange getting my items back. I will gladly pay for shipping.Mike Napoli314-223-1418

I am currently going through the same issue with a rental we returned in Las Vegas. It is terrible, no returned emails, and can't get in contact with anyone via phone. Did anyone contact you? Where you able to get your items returned?
