Aspen Dental offfice visit

I booked an appt for severe tooth pain and was told I could be taken care that same day as my regular dentist was closed. They did extensive x-rays, told me what treatment was needed (2 fillings) and refused to treat because it was too close to closing time. I had given all my insurance info so I am sure Aspen will expect to collect payment even though they offered NO TREATMENT at all for my pain. Why would they even book the appt. It was never suggested that I might not be treated when seen. I feel like I was completely scammed!

Desired outcome: Relief from tooth pain by treatment of the problem. At the very least antibiotics! I got NOTHING.

Aspen Dental Cleaning: $868.00!!! I have 10 real teeth in my mouth

August 29, 2022. Appointment for a cleaning.

They charged me for a cleaning. I asked what that covered. Oh a procedure for your gums.

OK, I only have 10 real teeth!

The doctor was not prepared to begin the "procedure" She had to crawl around the floor to plug in the machines, then set up the items needed. After about 10 minutes she started on me. Slooooly put some sort of stuff on my right gumes, then left the office. I was waiting for her to drain saliva, but got up and spit on tissues that were in the office. When she finally returned she removed the stuff on the right side, and told me to come back next week! WHAT! I paid $800.00 for this and no one said anything about two trips! I'm here now and want it finished. She went out and asked someone if it was OK. Then took five minutes to put stuff on the left side, and removed the stuff after five minutes. Asked me to set up my next visit in Nov. On my way out (VERY CONFUSED ABOUT THE MORNING) she chased me almost it the exit, to give me tooth paste and mouth wash that she forgot about! She did none of the other things listed on the "treatment plan.

Desired outcome: I want $800.00 back. What she did was not worth $68.00, But she did do something for an hour. Each time , at other dentists I've gone to, REAL cleanings cost $100.00. And the dentist was in the room constantly.

I got no information on what this consisted of!

How long it would take, that it would be another trip!

And this list goes on.

I would have to locate a fax machine to send a copy.

Aspen Dental Misrepreseentation in amount due for services.

My husband, Charles Clegg, went to Aspen in Hilliard, Ohio to have some dental work done. We met with the Finance Manager who informed us the TOTAL COST WOULD BE $3263, WHICH WE PAID IN FULL. My husband went to his appointment this morning to have the final impression done. The first thing they did was ask him to meet with the Finance Manager who informed him he needed to pay another $840 to complete the work. THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED INITIALLY AND I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS WITH MY HUSBAND WHEN HE ORIGINALLY SPOKE WITH THE FINANCE MANAGER IN APRIL OF 2022. Not only do we have to contend with this misrepresentation, but, also the treatment was so shoddy that their own dentist agreed someone did a terrible job of making a temporary partial. Wires were hanging out and poking into his gums causing a great deal of pain. Their new dentist redid the work.

Desired outcome: Want work completed in its entirety without an additional $840 charge.

Aspen Dental PAYMENT to get new crown put on.

I had to get a crown put back in b/c the one I had prior fell off. I didnt know how long ago I had had it in. ASPEN DENTAL Finance person said I only had to owe 450.00 to get the crown done. I said that is all I owe, nothing else and he said yes. I paid the bill to get it done. I got a bill in the mail from DENTAL DENTAL that I owe 278.00 on the crown . I feel I should not have to pay this . Delta dental said I can only get a new crown filled after every 5 years and I got my crown completed in 2018. Since I got a new crown put in 2022 I had to pay more .. I am very upset about this and feel ASPEN DENTAL should approve that I do not have to own any more then what I paid. Dental dental said if aspen dental approves me just paying the 450 then that is fine.

i AM FILING A GRIEVANCE and feel I should not have to pay any extra toward the process of what I had done a month ago at aspen dental.

ALISON STANGEL

Desired outcome: I want to not have to pay what I was billed from dental dental of 278.10 extra

My husband, Charles R. Clegg, had dental work done which began on April 18, 2022. Before any work was done we met with the Finance Manager who said the total price would be $3,489.00. (We have the original sheet to prove it.) Over the course of several months, the workmanship proved to be very shoddy. For instance, when my husband complained about the partial being uncomfortable with wires poking into his gums, he went back to show them. The dentist who looked at the work agreed it was not done properly and redid it. Now, after waiting several months, he went to his appointment this morning to have the final impression made and when he walked in was immediately told to speak with the Finance Manager who said he owed another $840 to complete the work. NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, WAS THIS MENTIONED WHEN HE WAS TOLD THE TOTAL AMOUNT DUE TO DO THE WORK! If something isn't done soon to correct this matter, we are going to file a lawsuit! (By the way, I am his wife and I was with my husband when we met with the Finance Manager originally and NOTHING WAS MENTIONED AT THAT TIME THAT AN ADDITIONAL $840 WOULD BE DUE TO COMPLETE THE WORK!)

Aspen Dental Aspen teeth liners

I had purchased liners from Aspen about a year ago. I received trays 1-7. Seven's didn't fit, they scanned my teeth they said they haven't came in,SCAN, scanning my teeth 4 times, I wore 6's for 5 months went back to 5's because 6 broke and 7's didn't fit,SCAN,6 broke, 7's didn't fit,SCAN, they didn't get the scans,SCAN, waited for 6 months,5's broke,6 broke and 7 is broken. I want a refund for you not fulfilling your end of the agreement. I am very disappointed in your liners and the service I didn't recieve. I wanted to do something for myself to feel better about myself, since I was told I have cancer, and that dream has been shattered. Thank you. I have talked to a lawyer and have moved forward to a possible legal action. I would like a quick resolution on this matter by a full refund from you for not fulfilling your end of the agreement.I look forward to hearing back from you in a quick fashion. Thank you.

Desired outcome: a full refund of my money.

Aspen Dental Temporary crown on upper front tooth

On Oct 14 I contacted local Aspen Dental office in OKC OK to have the crown reinstalled on upper tooth. This is third time in three days temp crown fell off. Now I cannot get anyone at Aspen to see me about this issue at all and the latest excuse is "computer problem". A computer is not needed to reinsert a temp crown the last time I checked. Poor customer service and terrible dental service plagues this Aspen practice. I have already paid for the permanent crown but I fear I will not be receiving it due to the poor service I have so far experienced. Also, no one at this office ever returns my calls when I leave a message for return call.

Desired outcome: Contact me about this issue and put a new temp crown on my tooth.

Aspen Dental Double charges

I am being charged for treatments that were done back in May and June 2021 in the amount of $5597.10. I made a payment of $8000.00 on June 21, 2021, with my CareCredit Card and made other payment of $2852.00 on June 25, 2021, with my CareCredit Card. My insurance paid $2489.90. I never received a statement since this was done in the office. I was also told by the office that I was paid in full and that I didn't owe anything back in June. Yesterday I was told that I owe them $55597.10. due to my insurance declining payment. I spoke with my insurance yesterday, and they told me that they have not declined any payments. I am refusing to pay this amount $5597.10.

Desired outcome: I would like my account to show paid in full!!!

Aspen Dental Dentures - lower partials

I am giving up hope on ever getting my permanent lower partials. I had almost all of my teeth extracted in January and received my immediate dentures. Last month, (September 2022) thanks to Lauren’s diligence and care, I finally got acceptable upper permanent dentures.

They haven’t been able to scan properly for my lowers after several attempts. I was called in *again* for another scan. Waited half an hour past my appointed time without being seen or even acknowledged and left. I work full time and all of this constant having to go in (it’s been pretty much every couple of weeks) is putting a strain on me and my work.

I’m about to look for another place that can do this and request a refund if I can’t get these people to respect my schedule and stop wasting so much of my time. Can anybody help?

Desired outcome: I’d like to get the lower partials I paid for without having to go into the office every two weeks, taking excessive time from work.

Aspen Dental Payments on my account and other issues about dental services

Went to aspen they did a checkup and cleaning and gave me a total of dentures service and dentures would cost me I paid $5,000.00 in cash that day my insurance paid 1,000 then the next visit I paid 1,000 and then another 1,000 then they said I was all paid up but they sent a bridge not crown to be put in they never said it would cost only a fraction of what a crown cost so I got the bridge I am not satisfied with it then I had to pay extra here and there for some sort of stupid stuff the total for all was less than 7,000 now they tell me I still owe for my partials over 2,000 I don't have the money and the say I only paid 3,400 the first day a 1,00 another time and a 1,500 another then they said I owe 221 and I can get ty partials now they say I owe almost 3,00 for my partials I questioned them about the 5,000 they say I never gave them so I told them about the girl waiting on me she was on the cell phone and people kept coming interrupting her while she was with me I gave her the 5,00 she put a book on it and forgot where it was I told her then she put it under her computer and proceeded to tell me about my account and said good bye never gave me a receipt I feel like I have been made a fool of and I still do not have my partials I was to meet with the district manager the next day but she never showed up I called 4 times to see if she was there I feel they warned her about me all I want is to be done right and get my partials they say I paid over 6,00 but my crowns only cost 1,00 each so I ask them what did they do with the other 2,00 and something that was supposed to go on my partials they did not have an answer just told me to talk to the district manager now how can I get my teeth that I have already paid for thank you

Aspen Dental Dentures

I’ve been trying for over two years to get an appointment for a fitting and adjustment on my lower dentures as they don’t fit and they are cutting my gums and under my tongue to the point of bleeding on a daily basis. Every time I try to get an appointment I never get a call back and when I actually do get an appointment it gets cancelled and rescheduled for a month out. I thought they had a money back guarantee and also thought they would be more professional. I am seeking a refund and possibly getting an attorney.

Desired outcome: Full refund on dentures so I can go somewhere that will actually see me and not give me the run around.

Aspen Dental Extraction of impacted wisdom tooth

During the weekend of September 24, 25, 2022, I developed a toothache. I moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida last year and did not yet have a dentist. On Monday morning, September 26th, I called a dentist who was recommended to me but was unable to get an immediate appointment. Luckily, or so I thought, Aspen Dental was able to see me that very morning. I informed them that I only wanted the problem taken care of and that I would come in for a regular checkup at a later date.

They did X-rays and informed me I had an impacted wisdom tooth on the upper right hand side that appeared to be decayed and would need to be extracted by their oral surgeon. The dentist said she would prescribe me some pain medication in the meantime.

The guy that handles the scheduling told me it would cost me $606 after insurance and that I would need to pay upfront before they would schedule it. So I paid. I asked if I would be knocked out for the procedure and he seemed surprised that I asked. He said I could be but it would cost me over $500 more. I declined because I’m a 71 year old woman on a fixed income. He then tried to schedule it for the following day. I couldn’t take that appointment because hurricane Ian was supposed to hit our area directly and my park had a mandatory evacuation in place for 7 a.m. the next day. I had to leave. The next available appointment wasn’t until October 6th in a different office about 8 miles away. I scheduled it.

The pain I was experiencing became excruciating. The pain meds had codeine in them and were making me sick. I couldn’t even get out of bed. I made it back to Tarpon Springs on Friday, September 30th and placed a call to the Tarpon Springs office to see if I could get something without codeine. The dentist who had seen me then prescribed me amoxicillin and ibuprofen which after a few days helped tremendously.

The day before the surgery, I called the New Port Richie office where the procedure was taking place and asked if I could drive myself to the appointment and was told I could since I was only getting Novocain. A friend of mine wouldn’t hear of it and said she was going to drive me anyways.

The next day, October 6th, I showed up for my 10 a.m. 15 minutes early to complete more paperwork. The surgeon was running behind and I wasn’t called in until 10:40. When I sat in the chair the assistant showed me the X-Ray and I noticed the impacted tooth was at a slant kind of above the tooth next to it. I asked her if that would make it harder to remove and she said no. When the surgeon came in I asked him if I would have any stitches. He said it was unlikely. He then administered three shots of Novocain which were like nothing I had ever experienced. They were so painful and the third one actually ended with a flash of extraordinary, burning heat.

What happened next is still very difficult for me to even think about. The surgeon was pushing and prying so hard I thought my jaw was going to break. The crunching and cracking sounds were unbearable. He told his assistant to push the other side of my head toward him. I was right in a vice. He finally got the tooth out and proceeded to give me stitches. He then left the room and the assistant was rattling off things for me to do and not to do. She put gauze in my mouth and handed me some gauze to take home then walked me to the front where my friend was waiting. And I was out the door, trembling, shaking and now starting to cry. They didn’t even schedule a post op appointment…not that I would have went. I have never received any type of follow up from them, unlike the numerous texts and emails I received about my appointment.

It has now been 4 days since this happened and I still feel traumatized.

Desired outcome: I would like monetary compensation and I would like to make sure this never happens to another patient.

Aspen Dental Billed for procedure that did not happen

I would give NEGATIVE stats if I could. NEVER go to an Aspen Dental! I went there over a year ago, they kept billing me for Flouride treatment that I did NOT get (because I knew it was not covered by insurance.) Every bill I got, I called and they said they would take it off and take care of it, around 3 times. I stopped getting bills, so I figured they finally took it off. Today I got notice from a collection agency! Saying that Aspen Dental sent me to collections for that $21 Flouride treatment... that I NEVER even got!

Aspen Dental Deep cleaning.

I stayed confined during the Pandemic and had not visited the Dentist for about three years. It was time to repair the damage done. I went into Aspen dental at office#3369-Poninciana Fl on September 9, 2022, at 10:00 am for my free exam and requested a deep cleaning. They X-rayed my teeth, and I was counseled on what needed to be done. They said they could do the deep cleaning that day and gave me a cost of $597.00 which I agreed to. I have a knee replacement, so I needed antibiotics and they said they had some to give me, so I agreed. I went through the procedure and when finished I was a little dizzy which I just put aside and went home. I got very woozy and felt terrible so I went to my Heart doctor the next day for advice and was advised to have a loop put in my chest to monitor my heart to see what the problem could be. This is all beside the point. The problem I have is they billed me $597.00; They also billed my insurance company $2,686.00 which is a total rip off for a deep cleaning that only took one hour. I contacted my insurance which paid Aspen Dental already, and I have to pay my credit card yet which I will pay off. I advised my insurance company that they have been ripped off by Aspin Dental and I have also been ripped off. I have been trying to get ahold of Aspen Dental, and also tried to get ahold of the corporate office with no Avail but It is next to impossible to get someone to answer their phone. My advice to anyone that reads this is to tighten your belt if you use their services because you will pay for it. I have never been charged so much for a deep cleaning.

Sincerely,

[protected]@aol.com

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and will not be using their services ever again.

Aspen Dental Dental Implant

I am having a tooth replaced by implant at Aspen Dental in Yulee Florida. All prep is complete. But now I'm asked for $2200 more for the tooth itself.

Someone dropped the ball.”

Thus far they are just ghosting me.

This process began in January 2022.

I was given a quote of $4766 and had that amount forwarded from Care Credit to Aspen Dental. No one ever mentioned an extra $2200 throughout the entire process. Impressions were taken and the implant was made. I arrived to have the implant put in and was told then it would be $2200. But there is no record or reference to that amount anywhere.

Aspen gives the impression that they want to help and facilitate but they are never available to do so. The clerk couldn’t explain the extra amount she had no context available to her. She was just there to ask for the money.

To make a long story short, they are holding the implant as leverage and not completing the job because someone in their office has made a mistake and now they’re back pedaling.

I called the office yesterday and was transferred to the Kingsland office because of issues in their communication system. The gentleman understood my issue but said he would contact the Yulee office and they could expedite. This has been going on for a month. The office never calls or requests I come in. Meanwhile I have a post with no implant.

Whatever you can do to move this forward is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Aspen Dental Teeth Cleaning

Let me start out by saying "I just wanted to get my teeth cleaned".

I am recently retired and have a Humana Preventative Plus insurance policy. It had been very hard to find a provider that would take this insurance.

I set up an appointment to get a cleaning scheduled. I was told that x-rays and a pre-evaluation would need to be performed before an appointment for cleaning could be set up. I was told that my insurance would cover that.

The day of the pre-evaluation, x-rays and a 3-D image were taken of my mouth. I asked again if this was covered by my plan. I was assured that it would be. The cost was about $200.00, but was told that Aspen would waive the first visit cost if not covered. When I received the billing, Humana only covered $50.00 of the x-rays (bitewing), the rest was not covered. When asked about the remainder, I was told that if I did not have insurance the first bill would have been covered by Aspen, but because I had insurance the remainder was my responsibility - $148.00!

I did set up a cleaning appointment. The staff told me that the cleaning would be covered by my insurance. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that there would be an additional $85.00 charge because my insurance would not cover the "enhanced" cleaning that my teeth needed. When I inquired what "enhanced" was, it was stated that I was given that information in the meeting that I had to determine my dental treatment plan. That meeting did not happen. When pushed back and questioned the additional charges, the technician said she was not feeling comfortable, and the discussion was no longer productive. She left the room.

The office manager came in and said they (Aspen) would not take me on as a patient and escorted me out of the building.

As I see it, the minute I called into question their insurance billing practices and lack of transparency, I became a threat. This is the first time I have been kicked out of and banned from any business. I have been working with the public my entire career and this was the most confusing situation I have ever witnessed!

Desired outcome: My money back from the first appointment that I had to have performed before I could get my teeth cleaned. Which did not happen.

Aspen Dental Aspen Dental/ Appointment dissatisfaction

Aspen Dental in Evans Ga located at 3809 Evans Mill Dr Ste C Evans, GA 30809, has scheduled a dentist appointment for me two separate times, one hour one way for me. Once arriving they told me TWICE that my dental appointment had been canceled due to not confirming my appointment. I informed the lady that I had never received a call and that me making the appointment would be my confirmation for my second appointment. So twice in Evans was not the worst of it. Aspen Dental in Augusta Ga, located at 3456 Wrightsboro Rd Augusta, GA 30909, made an appointment for me. Before hanging up the phone making the appointment I told the lady what had been going on and she assured me that, that would not happen again. Well, I show up to my appointment to be told that they had to cancel appointments due to lack of work force and my name just happened to be one. Without notice. Where does it stop? When does it stop? When you have no business due to bad reviews and word of mouth? Taking my business elsewhere.

Desired outcome: I would like answers to why I had to drive 3 different times, 1 hour one way, to get no help with treatment of mouth. My mouth is in pain and has a smell to it. jeremymullins.[protected]@yahoo.com [protected]

I am upset with Aspen Dental because of the unwillingness to work with me as a patient on finances. I just through paying $700 this past Friday. I had a dental appointment today Sept. 26th and the receptionist told me I owed another $147 which I didn't have. She didn't want to work with me and I walked out. The First time I went to Aspen Dental I was done the same way. I decided to give them another chance after not going to a dentist for about seven years. I am being done the same way. Your about to lose a patient again unless I can be worked on the financial part then I will go to another dentist. I only make so much money. The cleaning I was supposed to have today I want another appointment without having to put up another $147 and I will pay on my next payday. The choice is yours if you still want me as your patient
