We purchased a 5 year protection plan on March 7th 2020 under the sales pitch "if you don't use it you get it back in store credit." We went back to the Ashley store we purchased the product in on March4th 2025 to request the credit. We were told we could not request the credit until after the plan expired but it had to be before the end of the year. We waited and started the process again on November 28th 2025. First we were told it would take 24 to 48 hours to process because 'the manager wasn't in'. Then I called to check on it and was told to call Ashley support where I was told it would be 7 to 10 business days... Waited... called back and now I'm being told the protection plan company denied the claim because the plan is expired!? This feels like a total scam. This plan cost $419! I am very upset with the run around and really need some help with this situation. If the plan really is invalid because it is past the date then Ashley owes us the money because their employees told us we had to wait until it expired.
Claimed loss: 419.00
Desired outcome: I would like the credit applied to my account as soon as possible.Derek Curtis [protected]
