I applied & was approved for the card days after moving. I mistakenly used our address at our former home. (Mail forwarding in place.) I do not have a card number-new card- and cannot logon to the website without it. Received a letter stating that I needed to contact them to proceed with getting the card. Called in- 16 minute wait, no problem, and was told- “the card has been mailed to you- I see it was mailed.” I’m aware the card was mailed 8 days ago and that it hit mail forwarding- hence the problem. That was Monday, this is three days later, still no card. I do not think the agent understood the issue and that number is the only way available to contact AMEX. How do I “let them know” anything before the deadline they set in the letter without getting through to one of their agents?
