A fraudulent charge was made on my account on 6/22/26. It was order #114-9428466-1218627 for a digital gift card in the amount of $195.00. My bank sent a notice of the transaction which I then proceeded to contact Amazon (via chat) to inform them of the fraudulent charge. I was told by Amazon that the charge would be investigated and the amount would be credited, process would take several days. One week later, I contacted thru chat again because the charge hadn't been reversed. At that time, I was told that they would make sure to take care of it and escalate the problem to speed up the process. Still nothing happened. I contacted a third time, on 7/8/26, this time via phone, spoke with "Lyn" who said that she could see everything and would make sure to get this handled for me. She said she would send me an email, as well, confirming that she had, in fact, done what she said she would. I expressed my frustration and the lack of reimbursement and she suggested I go through my bank and have them take care of it. I told her that I did not want to go through the bank because I would then have to cancel that card, which would be the second time in a year (bc of amazon's lack of fraud protection) and is a major pain in the rear. Guess what, no email came and she definitely did not do her job either. I really think they do this to people on purpose. Amazon is not the same as it was in the early years. There have been some improvements but ever since Covid, they have and continue to go downhill. Customer service is a joke. I have spent thousands of dollars with Amazon and have not screwed them out of funds, they cannot say the same. I want my money back, all $195.00, what's fair is fair.
Claimed loss: $195.00
Desired outcome: I want a refund of the money that was stolen from me. All $195.00.
