I purchased a new airtel connection postpaid in nov 06 particularly for gprs mobile internet. From day one till date (06 feb 07), I am unable to connect to gprs as normally as my colleagues do. I don't know if it is a problem with sim or network. I had filed 5 complaints against the same in airtel 121, but no response. I had visited airtel outlet number of times but no improvements. They have simply looted my money in the name of monthly rent.

Dont go for airtel!

I am trying to access internet on my mobile through AIRTEL wifi connectivity , I am getting issue in accessing some of the secure sites and java enabled sites. When I contacted Airtel customer support for AIRTEL WAP security and it came as a surprise to me that they even don't know anything abt this. Airtel is just trying to loot customers with the false commitments and so called technical customer support doesn't have any techical knowledge abt their own products.

I bought a new Airtel connection few days back. And I tried to activate Airtel Live on my phone. They send me the settings and I installed those. I didn't find Airtel live anywhere on my Phone. Then i called 121, but the phone want to customer care. They said someone form GPRS will call me. I am waiting for their call form last three days. But no one turned back. Every time i call them they say that someone will call me back but I don't think they will do it. Its really a bad experience.

Activated GPRS on my SonyEricsson Z710i handset 4 days ago.
There is no EDGE/GPRS coverage in my residential area. I can make calls, I cans end SMS but no GPRS range.

In another area I can access GPRS/EDGE without any problem. My mobile shows E logo when I am in another area. I am just calling them everyday. I suggest you all to keep calling them everyday. When you call frequently more complains gets locked. And when auditing is done @ AirTel, they see the result that same problem isnt solved and customer is calling continously which is a fraitaning situation for customer care representatives. So keep calling them till problem gets solved and smash there database...Bang there heads !

I'll wait till Monday as they promised 72 hours wait time. Or else I'll go to consumer court if they cant reduce the GPRS cost from my bill. You can do the same. Tell them that your problem is not solved..You are not able to browse then why those fu**king charges are applied...Sue AirTel ...

Cheer's,
b!ll G@ates ..Hehe !

I am using Airtel Mobile Office GPRS service in my computer for about six months through a N91 modem. Till yesterday i.e, 14/07/2007 the download speed was satisfactory. Yesterday evening onwards the download speed has abnormally slowed down. It is providing a speed around 107 to 350 bytes per second, which is absolutely pathetic. The Customer Care Cell of the company is saying it is due to ongoing up gradation of their system and it is unlikely to become normal before 2 or 3 days. One thing I don't understand is why a customer should suffer like this.

My Connection is working at 37.4 kbps. Which is too low from the Commited Speed by the Company. I am getting too much problem due to this.

I informed AIRTEL to activate my GPRS on 01 July 2007 @ 11'o clock. But they didn't activate my GPRS. When you inform AIRTEL to activate GPRS generally they take 4 hrs. (according to customer care executive). At last I got a message from AIRTEL on 03 July 2007 @ 05'o clock saying your GPRS has been activated, but unfortunately that was not activated. This is second time that happened with me.

I want to say that I send a request on 7th JUN to Airtel Company to activate GPRS service on my mobile No. [protected] in the Name of Ramnish Bansal. They activate the Service same day. Now today I got my bill which is up to 10th Jun. They charged from me 78 Rs. Including tax for four days. Its ok, but they Charged for another Service Airtel Live 125 Rs. Which I am not use. When I ask for details for that than they said they have no details for that service.

Any suggestions?

I am the regular user of AIRTEL. I m using GPRS through AIRTEL. I m also paying Rs.11.99/per day for GPRS. For the last 20 days GPRS is not functioning in my Network Area. I had called customer care so many times but no solution has yet provided by them. Now Airtel stopped listening & suggesting to send SMS. I have sent 30 SMS against my Complain. But GPRS problem remains the same. Airtel provide very bad service.

I also called to costumer in technical department. same problem, says that i m not getting good coverage, on my mobile, so plzz don't buy any airtel card...

I have renamed Airtel, Airturd because their GPRS service is total crap. The local office here in Panjiim,Goa is staffed by complete idiots. I have been advised to upgrade my phone to a Blackbery with Edge technology. They dont have Edge technology in Goa! When you visit their offices they will tell anything but the truth about their services. Airtel is debt ridden and to service that debt they have to get subscribers by any means. Bonus payments are offered to their staff to sign up anybody. The truth is that they are running on old technology that is 10 years old,but they are advertising their services as cutting edge, when in reality its well past its sell by date. The huge advertising campaign they are running at present is to service that debt. Not one Rupee has gone into upgrading their present infrastructure to 3G standards/21st century. The equipment they use is all 90s and most of the phones they advertise as being stylish are at least 2 to 3 years old by western standards. Airturd are ripping you off pure and simple. Complain to your local consumer forum and fight back against these cooperate pirates who just want your money and couldn't give a toss about what sort service they provide as long as they get your money. Remember its the share holders that matter to Airturd, not their customers.

Airtel GPRS service in the Calingute, Goa is best described as useless.I have been to their office in Panjiim to complain.First time they said it was my Motorola modem.Motorola dealer checked it and it was OK.Then they said it was the GPRS settings.Funny i thought because they actually configured it in the office for me a week before. What is actually going on is that Airtels routers and receivers on the masts are out of date and cannot handle the volume of traffic that has been generated by their massive publicity campaigns. Instead of paying actors like Shah Rukh Khan oodles of Rupees, they should spend the money on new and up to date equipment.Have a look at your nearest mast, its like some thing they bought from second hand from Russia.Customer Service at Airtel is rubbish, but what do you expect, they work for Airtel not you.The best thing you can do is make a complaint to your local consumer forum that Airtel are making false claims in their advertisements concerning their GPRS service and ask for compensation. The publicity will drive them mad because Airtel exist on false claims around their so-called services.Bet King Khan doesnt use Airtel though. Most of the staff at local Airtel offices are under trained and thick. They are only there to generate money for Airtel, not to provide a service for you.All they want is your money because they get an end of the month bonus for the amount of customers they sign up.They all do it. Ya, i agree airtel is not providing proper service to the customers. From last 7 days i am trying to access net through airtel. For that i need the customer care service. But the service is not enabled from some days. Now its became to difficult to access net for me.

I am getting an error "subscribe to packet data first" and "connection can not be established". My gprs service is active and wasting daily 12 rs. Unnecessarily.

What should i do?
