Ackermans exchange without slip

I bought clothes for my newborn baby in December and unfortunately I misplaced the slip however I was able to find proof that I paid with my card, the 2nd slip that normally comes out once you have paid by card. On the back of that slip it says you can exchange clothes without the slip but Ackermans Bayside Mall refused to do the exchange. So why does your slip say you can exchange if they won't allow it? That is false information provided to the customers. I'm not asking for refunds but I just want to change the size. The store keeps copies of slips so why is it a big issue that I don't have the slip?

My sincere apologies to the Bayside Mall Ackermans. There was a misunderstanding, its actually Ackermans Adderley street manager that refused to do the exchange. Nicolene from Bayside Mall assisted me and she was very helpful and professional and thanks to her.

I bought pants on Saturday 18th of November 2023 n find out they are abit tight for my son dont find my receipt but everything is still attached even the price tag and i swiped using my bank card is it possible to exchange the pants

Ackermans customer service / accounts department

After setting up a RECURRING debit order in November I am receiving text messages saying I am behind on payment. Calling customer service was a waste of time as I was transferred to 3 different people each telling me something else. According to one I do have a recurring debit order and she does not understand why the debit orders did not go off and even told me it was set to go off on the 2nd of each month, but still transferred me to someone else. The next person then told me that there is no recurring debit order and wanted to send me the forms to complete so I do have a debit order. Why then did I spend almost an hour on the phone in November setting up a debit order? And why did I just spend almost another hour being transferred from one person to the next and eventually put on hold for more than 15 minutes where after the call was dropped?
This is unacceptable!

Ackermans customer service

On the 31st of December i went to the store to use the voucher i won from mtn 25th birthday crush competition the teller didn't know about it she called the manager by the name Given to assist he also told me he doesn't know about it but he will call head office and ask because it could be a scam i awaited for almost 30 minutes went to spar to do shopping came back he told me they are not answering i should go to dwarsloop i am not even sure if he called them or not because he took the phone went the back/ office

Ackermans tablet

My son bought a new MOBICELL tablet from the store on the 23rd Dec 2019. On the 26th December 2019 my granddaughter pkayd a game on in sitting on the couch. She showed me that the tabled do have a black mark on the screen. When I took the phone a crack appears on the inside of the screen. My son toom it back to the stoir and the guy did not even listen to him. Jyst told him they can't do anything about it. And when my son asks him about the 7 day guarantee he told my son that means nothing. I, m very disappointed. And going to take this to the media. Please calk me o [protected].It is not the screen but the lcd.

Ackermans unethical behaviour

I visited one of your stores to return items which i bought on laybye, the issue was that the manager refused to give me a refund and she insisted that she will load it on a gift card and the reason for refusing was that when I went to take out the laybye I told the cashier I lost my slip and I paid cash and I was informed that I can return should there be a problem. At the time of returning I had the laybye reference number and the EFT reciept which I got after collecting my laybe hence I couldn't understand why she was refusing as I requested the rcp at point of collecting my laybye, I then requested for the call centre number after seeing that she was just adamant and rude that she will not give me any refund but load on a gift card, she then showed call centre details. It then called the call centre and they advised me to go to the branch and let the Store manager call, she was even rude to the agent and refused to give me her surname after i corrected her that she can sort out internal issues after helping me because she was shouting and arguing with the call centre agent in front of me. The service I got at the branch was so disgusting and pathetic as a client I expect to be given good service especially by a Branch Manager who tell me that she will also make a scene at my work place and I assured her she can come as I know my policies and procedures. As a Manager she really needs training because you can never behave the way she did in front of client let alone her body language. Her name as per her name tag is Nicolene and the agent that she fought with over the phone is Lubabalo Masenuka

Ackermans insurance

Hi I added up closing my account with account with Ackermans because I was paying my premium every month but the balance was not going down and when I wanted to close the account they told me I have an Insurance with of which I never know of and who joined that insurance for me. And my mother is having the same problem so I won't refer any one to open the account with them.

Ackermans pajamas

I bought mickey mouse pjamas (shirt and pants) for a 5 year old girl and a lot of other clothes. Jackie legodi helped me but he did not put the pants on the plastic. I was not able to see it until I got home, I tried to contact the store but they dont answer their phone. I even sent someone to go collect the pants, they refused to give her. I'm staying far from polokwane. I even feel like crying because I can not get help from any of the stores near me.

Ackermans insurance scam and misinformation

Assisted at gugulethu square on 02/12/2019
Reporting a stolen card and open a new one.. They gave me paper to sign about insurance I refused and the assistant advised me it is just to receive docs otherwise she can not follow to the next step.
Few days later I received an sms regarding insurance ackpol3473468
Thanking me for accepting.. I went back to the store and she was on the phone and scanned my id and said everything is done and its cancelled.
I spoke to zandile in customer service and its not cancelled my credit dissapeared and insurance is on my account.
On top of that I asked if can pay my account for december in advanced they said yes but today receive a bill due the 30th december.
What are you teaching your people.
They have to take insurance before they could really be assisted with anything else. I am not paying insurance! And if this affect my credit rating I sure hope that ackermans can do something about it. I will take this to the ombudsman if thats what it takes.

Ackermans product

I went to Ackermans cradlestone mall, to laybye, and yesterday the 13th of December I went to take out the laybye. To my surprise when I got home, the short I laybyed was switched, instead of a short I was given a skirt, n the skirt doesn't have a price tag. Because cradlestone is a bit far from where I'm staying I went to the nearest Ackermans, and I was told to go back to cradlestone as the matter needs to be fixed at cradlestone. I'm so disappointed as even in my till slip it's a short not a skirt. Please assist as I loved that short.

Ackermans agent extremely lack quality customer service, rude and ill mannered

Aphiwe Manzana called me today, Friday 13 Dec 2019 at 15:56, without providing any clear reason for her call - she started to harass me, raising her condescending voice while acting as if she knows me and I'm her friend.
Call her to order and she must never call me again. I suspect is the same gent who called me yesterday, Thursday, 12 Dec 2019 at 14:29 from 0314595482 behaving the same way. Kindly investigate this and address it with me urgently. From N. Goniwe | [protected]

Ackermans poor customer service

am very disappointed with the stuff of Ackerman's in vryburg. they really can miss treat their customer. my wife went to their store to return the items I bought for my daughter only to find out the items are not the fitting size. she has a receipt with her and the items are still on a good condition and they have a price tag on. my wife waited there for about an hour on a queue to get served only to find out that they will return her without assistance due to buying clothes with an Ackerman's card of which she didn't have with her, besides that the lady at the door didn't say anything about the card she only checked the items and told her to go to the queue for exchange. then its my wifes turn on the till, the lady at the till told her she cant help her because she doesn't have a card with her and the lady at till called the manager for verification the manager answered with no good manners and she said things loudly and thought my wife cant hear her. I bought the items at vaal mall so the manager kept on saying '' hey that lady should return those stuff at vaal mall'' with an attitude yena she wont help her. since when does buying things at other Ackerman's is an issue? I believe you guys are the same store that's why u can get it everywhere so that we can have convenience on buying . if not so than the cards should be for only one store rather.

please assist us with an understanding that since when does returning an item needs the card?

can you guys please teach your stuff how to treat customers because you will definitely lose customer because of the attitude they have.

Ackermans customer service

I am writing a second email with regards to this store and I have not received any feedback!. I went to ackermans on the 30th november to buy clothes for my daughter and also take out her lay bye for her sandle.
The store was full and we stood in the que for a good 15 minutes, the tills were fast that I am not complaining about. When I got to the till, I paid for my items and took out the lay bye for the sandle, I was told to go to the tills at the back for lay bye take outs where the was another massive que, with a long line of people who had been standing there for some time as well. I stood there for 30 minutes with no assistance, there was one lady assisting with lay bye take outs and as well assisting with the tills, she would go to the back get a few items and give out to the people or she would come back and say she cannot find the lay bye therefore you need to wait. My daughter at this time was very unsettled and was tired (1 year old). I went to the front to consult the manager but he sent a till operator to hear what I had to say. At this point I was very upset and disgusted, I left my lay bye slip at the till with the cashier and walked out of that store very angry. No one has gotten back to me since then!. If no one responds to this email I will have to write on other platforms.

Ackermans I want to return a cell phone I purchased

Hi

I purchased a cell phone on the 23 november 2019, the box was opened by the person that assisted me at the store (worker there), my daughter is not happy with that cell phone, she wanted another cell phone a more expensive one, so i went to the same store on the 24 november to change the cell phone, but they did not assist me changing the phone, please i need to change the cell phone, i am paying for the account, i am not getting it for free

Ackermans lay bye refund and customer service

I did a lay bye which was expiring on 23/11/19. I was unwell and only went to finalize payment on 24/11/19. at my arrival i was told that the items have been put back on the shelves and that i must look for them if i need them. i was also offered a gift voucher for as a refund and i told them that i need to buy elsewhere and i couldn't use a voucher. the lady was rude and she screamed at me and left to get a voucher. She left for over 15 mins and i eventually left. I was standing in the store with a sprained ankle and no one cared.

Ackermans layby cancellation and laybuy exchange

I went to Ackerman's at Ladybrand branch and wanted to cancel one of my two laybyes and paid-up the other one, and I was told that Ackerman's Stores is no longer doing laybye cancellations, I must first wait for the laybye to expire than it will be possible for the cancellation to be made, and on the laybye that I paid-up I wanted to exchange some items and the value of what I wanted to exchange was not the same as what I wanted to purchase, so I was furthermore told that they will not be able to give me the change, they will only be able to put the money on the gift card. I fail to understand because it is stated on the slip/invoice that I can cancel the laybye anytime prior to the expiring date and I will be refunded the money that I deposited/paid in full, furthermore regarding the exchanges I will be refunded my money if and when I no longer want what I purchased for as long as it is still having the price tag.

I received an email of apology from this email address: customercare@tenacityinc.co.za, requesting for my phone number and advising me that the divisional manager will call me in three days. Then I received a call from this number:0519241660 it was Ladybrand Ackermans divisional manager, who then requested me to come to the store, and she personally helped me to cancel my lay-bye and refunded me as per the terms and conditions on their store invoice, and sincerely apologised for the inconvenienced that was caused.

I have done a lay_by in Woodmead but my lay_by is expired then I went to protea gardes Mall to take some things else with the money I did with a lay-by I don't want money I want to take something else they told me to go to where I lay-by they don't that I'm staying in Soweto I won't go back to Woodmead to cancel a lay-by I didn't like the service at Protea gardens

I went to Ackermans at The Glen branch to pay up my layby using my ID since I had lost my receipt. When I asked to return one item from the laybe I was told that they can't refund me because I don't have the original receipt yet they are able to accept payment for the laybe without a receipt. On top of that I was given attitude for asking the person who was the till to explain to me how their laybye policy works, no customer should attended in that manner no matter what.

Also what confuses me is that other stores are able to give you a refund on your laybe after you've fully paid for it even if you don't have the original receipt. How the Ackermans layby policy works really confuses me. I'm not happy at all

Ackermans new account

I have recently made an online application for a Ackermans account. My account was provisionally approved as they needed my bank statement & ID. I have submitted my bank statements & ID as requested
A week later and still response and I have laid a previous complaint but up till now I got no feedback.

To make matters worse, this account actually reflects on the credit bureau as an active account...

Ackermans layby refund

I made a Layby of two items in Ackermans Hillcrest Corner (KZN) soo I wanted to finalize my layby and leave the other item behind, But the Lady said I cannot do that I can only exchange or get a gift card "their policy state that way" Then I talked with the Store Manager Adda, she said they must get authorization from the Area Manager, My question is... your policy state that you have to get authorization from the Area Manager with every refund made?

I went to the store and asked for money transfer, Luyanda told me that she wont be able to assist me because the money i had requires change and they dont have change and she further stated that it was not her problem that the banks are refusing to give them change to my suprize when i asked for the manager Siphiwe he eventually went to the back and came back with enough change. Ackermans stock request

Hi, I purchased a pair of JBR flipflops (blue and grey), size 7, item # 2755243 for R119.95 on 14/10/2019 (listed on the slip as Trainer Thong Grey and Charcoal on the tag). They are too small for my son and I wanted to size 8, so I called approx 6 stores myself to see if they had stock but they didn't so I called HO and logged a stock request on 21/10/2019 under ref # 656384. I was told 2 weeks. I have heard nothing so this morning I called to follow up and was told that they need to follow up, which says to me that nothing has been done for 3 weeks! If I call most other stores and ask if they have stock of an item, they call it up on the computer and give me branches where the item is available. I fail to see why this is such a higher grade request for Ackermans! The lady I spoke to now said someone will call me back...bet I will still be waiting in another 3 weeks time! Please can someone find the item I am looking for and call me back? Thank you Karlene Stevenson [protected]

I wanted to buy T.shirts so they didn't have price tag Then I asked a Guy by the Name Vukeya...n he didn't wanna help me told me to leave them n find something else n they wer the only 1nce that left as thy wer on the clearance site...But No he was so rude n told me I wanted to Buy Cheap stuff...I felf so Exploited cz he shouted whn I walked away saying Aaah!U want cheap stuff...I dnt think it's a nice way to speak to a customer who's asking fr assistance...Tnx in advance
