auto defrost not working!
Since about nine months, the auto defrost of my whirlpool refrigerator is not working. Almost every week I need to offload a full freezer load of ice.
Very poor quality product!

Whirlpool extended warranty / a & e service - essex, ct
On july 22 I experienced a problem with my whirlpool washer which was purchased in june of 202 and has been checked and repaired twice for improper spinning and water extraction. we have an extended service plan agreement. our problem was reported on july 23 and was told I could not get a service call until august 1. from a&e service. over a week! on aug. 1 a service call was made and the problem was diagnosed as a transmission replacement plus other parts. the parts arrived on august 2. a&e services did not arrive until august 8. I pleaded with them and the service company, I even called the whirlpool corporation. to no avail! it took 2 1/2 weeks for a&e to fix my machine! outrageous!
I since found out that a&e is a national organization that has contracts with whirlpool and other major corporations. I do not recommend this dis-service group. what was not explained to me is that I could have contacted an authorized whirlpool service, paid the bill and it would have been reimbursed by the extended service plan. this would have had my washer fixed in days vs. weeks, by a local dealer.
This was a major frustration - be wary!

Ditto, only in my case the appliance is a KitchenAid diswasher in San Diego. I described the problem clearly on the phone. Even an amateur would know it required a new control board. Yet it took a week to schedule a "technician" who spent five minutes confirming the diagnoses then ordered parts to be delivered in a week or so. A & E is owned by Sears. What a disgrace.
poor quality of plastic parts
I purchased a washing machine on 30/08/06 and its written in the catalogue that there's no guarantee on plastic parts but when the defect arises just in 6months of usage then who is responsible for that! Inspite of complaining to the firm several times they never gave us any satisfactory answer rather they say that it's the company's policy for plastic parts.. and when we asked them to give us a visit of their engineer they just send to us the technician/mechanic to do a temporary repair... when I asked them for a permanent setup, they told us that we have to pay the expenses for that, it's company's policy!
In the name of policy they use cheap plastic parts and when some misap happens within few months of purchase to it then they ask for money.
Whenever I called no one direct from the company replies rather the call center people tackle with the complaints and all..
Is this the policy to cheat their customer and make money with unfair means!

Fridge stop working after every two minutes, Its main input has some issue then again it has to switch it ON. Same things repeated again n again. Bad product!
I have the exact same model and it freezes stuff on the top shelf also. I also got this fridge FREE from a low income program, so I am not inclined to make trouble - considering the fact that a comparable fridge would have cost me about $800 that I surely did not have. I make do with what I am blessed to have, and a new fridge is a sight better than one that is over 25 years old like my old one was. I actually consider the freezing as an indication that my food will stay fresher longer as it is being kept at a colder temperature! Works for me!
I have a brand new Whirlpool model # ET8WTEXMQ03 that freezes stuff continually...I have contacted them many times, am told that someone will come out and look at it under my warranty. The most ridiculous part of all this besides the fact I have a brand new fridge freezing stuff is that on more than one occasion by both the customer service at the 1-800 number and one of the technicians actually told me that to alleivate the problem I need to not use the top or back of fridge! Are you kidding me? Yes, this is what Ive been told. I even asked 1 of the customer service reps on the phone if she had a fridge, to which she replied "Yes". I then asked her if she used the back and top shelf of her fridge, to which she said "Yes but I dont have that model" Gee go figure. Unfortuantely I got this thru a low income assistance program thru my electric company who give free fridges to customers who have old units...wow I think Id rather have my old unit! At least it didnt freeze! I cant believe this whole thing. Today the 4th tech came out, so Im waiting for Whirlpool to call me back. I am going to demand a new unti, and will nto stop until I get what I think I rightly deserve. If you dont want the customer to use the back of the fridge or the top shelf, then dont make those areas...I think we have some people who are off kilter shall we say to actually tell a customer to do what they have said. Has this happened to anyone else? I dont know if this is a defect or just lame engineers. I was told today that he has called some of the bigger brand name companies to tell them of this type of problem in hoping to help the customer since they are the one dealing with them that "they are not the engineer" Wow.
horrible customer service, defective product
We bought a Quite Partner III back in 2004. Turns out this model has a defective heating element which causes a hole in the dishwasher. This resulted in a flood in our kitchen. Whirlpool's idea of fixing the problem was not to replace the defective dishwasher, but to send a new tub to our house and hire a local company to basically re-built the dishwasher on the new tub! So far they have sent three technician out on three different occasions to do this services and all three replied in a similar fashion when they arrived. They all state: "Are they crazy! There is no way in hell I am doing this job! This will take me all day!" Two months later and the dishwasher is still not fix. There customer services representatives at their 1-800 are USELESS! I have talked to them about twenty time over the past two months and not only can they figure out what to do, but they won't even transfer you call to someone who can help.

I purchased a whirlpool refrigerator (master mind) model no.10618 serial no. ina0718118 in the month of 25th june 2007. from the day 1 of the purchase lots of noise is coming from the refrigerator. we have made complaints many a times (6 times). inspite of several complaints only once an engineer came from your company. he said that in whirlpool the sound always comes. it is very noisy. yesterday evening there was a loud noise and the fridge stopped working.

I have regd a complaint wrt my Washing machine not working on july 24 with the service center. Till today i have no response from the company.Their motto is ' we care we are always there'. But there is a complete lack of responsibility from them after have charged us for the annual service package.
Completelt fed up with the lack of any answers from their company representatives. Am told i am waiting for a PCB for more than 15 days. The manager Prasad says he is unaware of the problem till now and cannot answer for the 15 days i have waited.

I purchased a whirlpool gold accute-bake range 2 1/2 yrs ago. It has been nothing but a problem since. everything that can be replaced has been. thermastat, ignitor, sensor and whatever else could be replased. I called whirlpool twice and all i got from them was we're sorry you're not happy with your range. We pd $1200.00 for it. Whatever you do , do not buy whirlpool. This range is a fire hazard as on christmas day i was cooking a ham for dinner and the temp jumped up to almost 500. it did this before and the last time i called whirlpool they said there was nothing they could do.

Bought a quiet partner 2 dishwasher that left crusty residue on glasses- customer service is horrible. I changed the upper rack and washing arm from 5 year old kenmore used dishwasher- now glasses are spotless. My dishwasher quit one day after the original guarantee quit. It has been PROBLEMATIC since. (1) Computer smoked (2) pump grinds to a halt (3) Element R&R (4) Thermostat R&R (5) Basket R&R (6) Now the repair guy is not sure WHAT is wrong, He'll return at 3:00 Tune in.
We bought a full Whirlpool appliance package. The dishwasher isn't the greatest, doesn't clean very well or dry well. The rebates on our appliances were a bunch of B.S. It's almost been a year ago and still no rebates. Zero dollars. They basically lie to get consumers to purchase the products.
I've had a problem claiming a Whirlpool dishwasher rebate for a dishwasher purchased from homeverything.com. The industry organization the rebates were run through bounced mine back, saying it had not been paid for. They wanted an invoice marked "paid in full", even though the machine was paid for with a credit card, had been delivered and installed. They didn't respond to an email sent to them at rebates.info@necoalliance.com.
Had to get a different invoice from the online seller, re-send it by US Mail to NECO Alliance, and have been waiting for three weeks with no response.
faulty refrigerator
This is in regard to problem facing by us for the last one week. I had purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator (Model No. 9126 – 180 Ltr. Premier Steel, Sr. No. INC071705607) from a Whirlpool dealer - “Razzle Dazzle”, Vigyan Vihar, Delhi on 09.05.2007 vide bill no. R-560.
On 3rd July night when I opened the refrigerator I was shocked that the whole door came out. This is really shocking and was beyond my expectation. After all that this was not the end of my problem. I logged a call in whirlpool service center on 04th July 2004; call id no. is GB/C/0507/13427. Customer Care Executive told me that engineer will visit your place before evening but till late evening nobody turned up. I again called up Customer Care on 05th July morning and I was told that engineer will come in the first half but nobody came. On same day engineer from Whirlpool (Mr. Ravi Sharma – [protected]) visited our place around 16:00 hrs. and after doing his investigation he told us that he will try from his end to replace the door otherwise they will repair it. I don’t understand on what basis he can give such type of remark. I had hardly used this refrigerator and this is complete manufacturing fault. Then I talked to Mr. Narendra Singh, Superior of Mr. Ravi Sharma expecting that I will get some positive reply but he was quite rude to me rather than solving customer complaint he straight away told me that he cannot do anything. Then I took the mobile number of one Mr. S. K. Singh, may be superior of Mr. Narendra Singh. Mr. Singh also told me that they will not do replacement but can replace the door. I told him that I am not at all interested in door replacement as it is a manufacturing fault and although it is under warranty and time period we used this refrigerator is hardly two months. After seeing the engineer report, Mr. Singh has given me assurance that he will replace the refrigerator positively by Monday (i.e. 09.07.07).
But when on Monday I called up in the service center they straight away told me that whole process will take 10-15 days time. I requested them to do it on priority and try to understand our problem but I think people at Whirlpool are not interested in solving customer query and forcing me to go to consumer court and take this matter to Media.
In spite of several telephone calls made by me, I never received a single call from Whirlpool. Why?

The defective whirlpool fridge 310 L ( Flexigerator R 32 model no: 8511, ser no: 060302, supplied by Kandioners sales pvt ltd, begum bridge meerut., was installed in my house on 14/02/07. though the CSD supply order was for the maxigerator model. The fridge was not replaced despite my best efforts through manager CSD area depot meerut and the top whirlpool officials in ghaziabad and delhi. I was forced to return the above fridge to the supplier later and purchase fridge of another company.
This tragic experience was least expected from this company.
worst machine / worst customer care
They say it washes to give whitest of white, for me Whirlpool and their customer care is worst of worst.
I have purchased Whirlpool Sensation EX on the day one they have released thinking that it is the best machine available that time. The cost was around 25 thousands. I new about Whirlpool brand as I lived in US for few years. I thought I was buying a best machine, that time our daughter has just born, we wanted a best machine to wash my babies clothes.
When I switched on for the first time, the machine started moving all over the room, it was not stable, being in hitech product development, I understood that the machine has not been tested for minimum requirements. I asked the installation guys that I do not want the machine they said that I do not have any choice, except for taking additional warranty. Again being in product development, I estimated that this machine is not going to run for a long time, I took additional warranty, called Peace of Mind. At this time I did not knew that it is going to ruin my mental peace.
After several calls to the customer service, they said they are going to replace the stand for all the machines, which they did after some time. After this the machine was not moving away from its original place.
The experience with the machine is worse than my expectations. It is supposed to be a fully automatic machine, but it never takes detergent powder automatically, I need to pour water with mug inside to put the detergent inside as water wont fall in the detergent channel.
After few days, the detergent lid has come off.
After few days, the LED display has gone.
After few days machine did not work.
I have called up several time in this course, they made the machine work, but still LED does not work and it won't take detergent automatically, they did not fix the detergent lid.
I fed up with them, so I kept silent as it was putting me under mental pressure, I decided to live with.
Some time has passed, the machine stopped working again. I called up customer service, she said I was under Peace of Mind plan (Additional warranty that I have paid for), they would take care me well. She also told me that the management has changed now so they are going to solve all my problems, I was happy, but again I did not know that I am falling from pan into oven.
First time a service man has come to my house on Saturday, he checked for some time, after that he said he would come on next day. As washing is important, we were waiting at home on Sunday but the guy did not turn up. I called up customer service but nobody was picking up the phone.
I called up this Monday, they said the person would on that day itself to fix the problem, but the person did not turn up again.
I called up the customer service today (Tuesday 3rd July), they said the person would come any time now, but he did not come up, I called 4 time with approximately 2 hrs gap, each time they said the person going to come now, they used talk to their manager and was assuring me
that they are going to solve the problem, I got irritated and finally asked for time, they said they will fix the problem by 7 PM today. I told them if they not fix it I will goto consumer forum, they said they would fix it at any cost today. But nobody has turned up.
I new this kind of things do not happen in US, I could not understand why this is happening in India. Is this because Indians run the company here? or Whirlpool do not have the similar policies that they have in US?

A refrigerator which was purchased hardly 3 yrs back and just a pcb cant make our life vulnerable in a week and there is no one to respond from a company which claims to have beauties advertising 4 them. It has been told that they have similar 5 pending cases and they couldn't supply the said pcb.
We are very simple middle classed indian citizens and the cost of pcb told is unbearable. Above that despite 5 working days of complaint the company didn't come to check if the pcb is really faulty. The service center doesn't have a spare to check. They just said that they have other same requisitions and they will do at the earliest. It is good that whirlpool is not manufacturing computers or such boards are countless in them. The cost of the small board is 25% of the whole cost. Ridiculous!

I have told minimum 100 times to Capital Electronics as well as local authorized service center that please replace the same, but I am fully hopeless regarding your service after sale of any product. In this modern generation no family can live without a refrigerator, whereas my family is living without refrigerator during a long period (more than six months). I am very much anxious and at the same time helpless also regarding the same matter.
Under the circumstances you are requested to take necessary steps so that I may escape from that problem forever and if possible please replace the same fridge by a new one. Treat this case as an extremely urgent.

Whirlpool appliances are dangerous; my friend’s daughter received a shock so strong from touching the washing machine case that it knocked her out.
After several minutes of panic by mother franticly trying to revise her daughter. She eventually woke up crying and shaking, because her daughter was so afraid of going near the machine again she has had it changed to a Hotpoint-Ariston, and her new Whirlpool washer is now sat in her old shed.
Her daughter loves setting the Hotpoint, my friend tried to contact Whirlpool for weeks and eventually decided to simply go and buy a new washer, this washing machine has an electrical problem that is potentially lethal, unfortunately Whirlpool are unobtainable.

I bought a 1.5ton split a/c before 2days and I asked the customer care to install the a/c on my house. I didn't get a good response from them and they don't have contact address for the service centre. I am sure whirlpool is not at all deliver a good product in india. They are losing their name and fame in india. I have 3a/c in my house and they are different ones(lg, samsung, voltas) and the service is too good. I am happy with other voltas and lg service providers.
I purchased a Whirlpool 350ltr fridge in the year 2005 and six months back the door came off its hinges and even after making number of complaints nobody at Whirlpool is bothered. According to them the model has now become obsolete and we are left with no other option but to replace it which is actually costing us more than what we paid for the initial fridge! and surprisingly all their warranties and extended warranties (for which we had to pay Rs 3, 000 extra) have all dramatically come to an end! I would sincerely and in good faith discourage all those who are planning to buy any of the Whirlpool products.

i bought a inverter of whirlpool 10 days back as it was the first time that whirlpool was selling inverters so i bought that thinking it would be good enough to satisfy me as i am residing in vaishali and their is a lot of power cuts in vaishali nearly 7-8 hours daily so i bought their latest model of inverter of 800 kva but the moment i buyed that they gave me their first defected piece and at the time of installation we found that it is defective so we replaced that at the same time and they gave us their next piece it worked well for 2-3 hours till the time of charging after that whent their was a power cut it was creating irritating noise after every half an hour after that we registered the complaint with whirlpool and the person visited in my home almost next day saying that inverter is ok and will be taken as under observation well good enough after four days of suffering they didn't visited of their own so we called them back for complaint
and they din't visted at their given time we called them back again they again gave us time and din't visited again so we gave them the call back and got another time again they din't visited after that an executive called us at an unscheduled time for visit incidiently we were out in market at that time so we asked them to visit next day. finally executive visited us and said that again that the inverter is okay nearly we suffered 10-12 days just listening the same line your inverter is okay he called his supervisior and he said that company has added up a new feature of creating beep sound after every half an
hour for indicating that their is a power cut well it was the engineer named rajeev working in whirlpool who said that to me and the executive who visited in my home was mr sushil well this feature of inverter is not mentioned in their booklet nor in their advertisements think bout it that you are sleeing next to your inverter which is
creating irritating beep sound after every half an hour at the time of power cut. Mr rajeev told me that he will visit us again after 3-4 days and you kknow what it is like they didn't even care about their customers that their customers are suffering or what. This was the first time i buyed the product of whirlpool nd i am sure that i am never going to buy ant product of whirlpool again and i will advise all my friends that they should never buy any whirlpool product.

This is a complaint against Whirlpool Company. Last week on Thursday near my residence Whirlpool promotional camp was going on, there was an attendant, Asif Iqbal, who is a really a fraud and they are making people fool. We needed a washing machine under exchange offer as our old washing machine was having some problem so we thought to buy a new one. This guy, Asif Iqual, told us there was a promotional offer from Whirlpool in which we take your old machine in Rs 3000 and give you a new one at Rs 6270. He told us the price of new machine is around Rs 8400. He had also told us about Diwali gift and scratch card. I did not get it confirmed about this exchange offer from any other whirlpool showroom and gave him a cheque of Rs 6270. After receiving new machine I found that on receiving papers there are no exchange offer mentioned, and NIT Faridabad branch are making people fool. This is really a very cheap trick to sale products. I am also going to police station for this fraud as there was no exchange offer and the actual rate of this new machine is Rs 6200. I have confirmed this going other showrooms after this incident. We had received this new machine three days ago. I am also going to lodge a complaint in consumer court. This is really a very cheap thing. I am very angry on this guy. I bought a fridge a year back the freezer wasn't working right from day one and the service personal came and charged me a huge sum to repair and promised me everything is good but nothing worked out then my father had to run around 6 times but still it is of no use the service person name is per mesh #[protected] and then I tried to get in touch with dinu his superior but he was still worse as he didnt attend my phone only please some suggest me as the last option is a consumer court.
refrigerator - frequent issue
I bought the whirlpool refrigerator almost 2 years back and found the following issues. We had cooling issue and register the complaint. The service man looked into the issue and he mentioned that we need to fill GAS, after the GAS filling we still had issue and found additional problem of water leaked behind the fridge. We called again and another service man said that GAS which filled is more and caused the issue and he reduced the GAS, but still we had issue and registered again. After that another service man walked in and said there is issue in compressor and he changed the same, also he mentioned the refrigerator door need to adjusted.
I don't understand how these kind of issues can happen within 2 years. I had godrej fridge for more than 12 years, but never faced any issues.
I would request Whirlpool company to look at this issue and also help us to replace the fridge at the earliest.
I have brand new one is garbage and they won't stand behind. Think I'm paying top dollar for something has cost me grocery sleep and aggression this company sucks bad business. No customer care.
Our Whirlpool fridge stopped working within the first year, we had to haul it back in to the store for them to replace it for us.. And now, 6 months or so later, this 'new' fridge is AGAIN not cooling.. :( I've done alot of reading on these fridges now and it seems to be common.. We will not be purchasing anymore Whirlpool products.. I wish they'd just take this fridge BACK and refund the money!

I agree. I have similar problems with my refrigerator and the service department of wgirlpool is of no help. I called today and she kept saying I am sorry you are having problems I can't help you. I have decided today that I will take every opportunity to tell my family, friends, co-workers and co-shoppers every chance I get about the poor service. I will encourage them to tell their freinds and co-workers and co-shoppersas well. It is rediculous to pay these kind of prices for inferior products, or worse bad service.
replacement of refrigerator
One whirlpool refrigerator f-23 classic delight 220 litre was purchased on 5-7-2006 through raj electronics rk puram new delhi vide invoice book no. - 44 s. I no. - [protected]. the refrigerator entered to fault in april 2007 and complaint was lodged to whirlpool service center on 31-5-07 vide no-dl050726463 and further on 18-6-07 vide no.[protected] again on 20-6-07 vide no.4508910 but the complaint attended by the technician could not remove the fault. since the appliance is under warranty period hence it may either be replaced or arrange to refund the money.
dishes never would dry
I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher, model GU2700XTSQ from RC Willey a couple months ago. I complained to Whirlpool that my dishes never would dry. The door, walls and ceiling of the dishwasher after the cycle is complete always have large water droplets that remain unless I leave the door open for 12+ hours afterwards. They sent me an email with a list of all the things I should be doing ( same info as in the owners manual). We have tried and done everything. They said if this didn't solve the problem to call a Whirlpool repairman. That was a joke ! He was there about 10 minutes and told us that we had to always make sure we had our liquid rinse aid dispenser full to get better drying results. This was a must because the inside walls of the dishwasher are plastic (just like having plastic dishes in your dishwasher) and the rinse aid would help solve the problem. I don't know where to go from here. If I knew this was a problem (retailer should know these problems) I would have bought a Maytag or Bosch. Can anyone help with this problem ? very low cooling
The undersigned bought this refrigerator from M/s Galaxy, Dwarakanagar, Viskhapatnam on 14 Aug 2006. Since the day of purchase the item has been giving constant troubles of the following :
(a) cooling - must have incurred a loss of Approx Rs 10,000.00 on items spoiled due to low cooling,
(b) light in the refrigerator was non operational for more than six months after repeated complaints at the Service center.

warranty not honored!
I had purchased a whirlpool washing machine in October-05 and there is a warranty for 2 years. The washing machine stopped working last month and I called the local service centre in Mumbai. They have said that the chip has been damaged by cockroaches and I have to pay Rs. 3000/- despite the warranty. I would like to highlight that the company has written the 'limitations of warranty' in such a manner that it is easy to wriggle out of any warranty claims. There is no value in this kind of a warranty.
poor quality product!
I purchased one Whirlpool Refrigerator on 4th April 2006. Since then it is giving me problems - many times the service center technicians came but could not resolve the issue completely. Everytime they gave different reasons - in fact one of them also mentioned that "this piece seems problematic" - it is very disappointing to get faulty refrigerator from Whirlpool, who always claim to be the best. If in one year the refrigerator needs more than 6-8 services, what does it mean? I feel cheated and will never buy / recommend any Whirlpool products in future. I have sent my complaint to the corporate head office and am still to receive any reply from them. Is there anyway I can get this technical problem solved? I am really very upset and angry.
We have bought a 230 liter Whirlpool refrigerator in Goregaon and we had so many problems . First we had to spend on a new compressor and gas. So we decided to take the service plan which again cost us money.
There was some issue with the PowerCord, we lodged our complaint in the month of August07, However the Services are so poor that till date (15th October) no one has turned to attend this call. In the Call Center this call still showing as Open. The Company tell me that the company does not have power chord. very poor services and defective unit
I purchased Whirlpool refrigerator Icemagic ff 400 ellite in Jan 2004.
In Nov 2004 the PCB unit gave way and same was replaced at a cost of Rs 2300 and at the same time entered in a 5 yr service contract HomeCare Plan No. HP1083654 for additional Rs 3000/-
The plan covers Evaporator, PCB, Relay, Olp, Fan Motor, Defrost heater, Wiring Harness, Vis Visit Charges and two Preventive Maintenance visits per year.
All of a sudden on April 14th 2007, after almost 2 and a halh year One Mr. Pavankumar visited us unannounced and carried out the Preventive Maintenance. He did not have even a cleaning cloth to clean the machine and he finished his job in less than 10 minutes.
Today the cooling is stopped as there is no green light as well as the interior light.
The telephone number for service call given to us is changed and we do not know how to get the help from HomeCare!
I hope this mail reaches the right authorities and we get the refrigerator working again.

poor quality refrigerator!
We bought a 280L Whirlpool Fridge in 1997. Either it was a fluke or otherwise, its performance was excellent. This prompted us to go in for another Whirlpool Fridge. We bought a 450L Fridge in July 2003.
Unfortunately it has given us lots of problems. First time in Dec.2005, there was a problem, and we had to pay Rs3400/= to get it repaired/serviced. Now since June first week, fridge was not working properly. This was reported. After lot of follow up a Technician came on 9/06/07 & reported that “Gas “ has to be filled. Another Technician came and gas was filled in the evening, charges were Rs1100/-.
On Sunday morning (June 10th), it was observed that the cooling in the main chamber was very low. So on Monday (11th June) it was reported. With great difficulty; we had to send an e-mail & telephone to WhirlpoolCo., the technician finally came on 15th evening & aftercheck up informed; MODULE has to be changed & will cost Rs700/-approx. (It also happens that there is no Module in stock with the service center).
We find this most unusual- Not only this has caused avoidable Tensions/inconvenience to us but also loss of lots of foodstuff items like cheese/cream/fruits etc. and also very expensive injections which need to be stored in the refrigerators. In our opinion this particular unit seems to be of sub-standard Quality, & after sales service is Very POOR. It appears this fridge is treated as an R&D piece, but it is us who are inconvenienced and PAY for the same.
I have purchased 310 liters refrigerator from dealer situated in lucknow, up. Within 3 days there was complaint lodged with companies call center. Service person visited and attended the complaint. After that at intervals service person was called for various complaints 3rd times. During 4th complaint attended we informed call center to replace as the guarantee period left is very less and the service report also indicated about replacement but there is no response from the complaint. Since yesterday again the fridge is found not working silently and again we will have to call service person for 5th time. I am not at all satisfied with refrigerator bought from whirlpool. Don't buy whirlpool products.

Very annoy & was astonished by the reponse given none of them turned till now.
surprised to c the service provided to the new customer then imangine about the old customer, this is the condition in the begining what if any problem in product at future really worried about thinking about this.

buyed that they gave me their first defected piece and at the time of
installation we found that it is defective so we replaced that at the
same time and they gave us their next piece it worked well for 2-3
hours till the time of charging after that whent their was a power cut
it was creating irritating noise after every half an hour after that

my home almost next day saying that inverter is ok and will be taken
as under observation well good enough after four days of suffering
they didn't visited of their own so we called them back for complaint
and they din't visted at their given time we called them back again
they again gave us time and din't visited again so we gave them the
call back and got another time again they din't visited after that an
executive called us at an unscheduled time for visit incidiently we
were out in market at that time so we asked them to visit next day.
finally executive visited us and said that again that the inverter is
okay nearly we suffered 10-12 days just listening the same line your
inverter is okay he called his supervisior and he said that company
has added up a new feature of creating beep sound after every half an
hour for indicating that their is a power cut well it was the engineer
named rajeev working in whirlpool who said that to me and the
executive who visited in my home was mr sushil well this feature of
inverter is not mentioned in their booklet nor in their advertisements
think bout it that you are sleeing next to your inverter which is
creating irritating beep sound after every half an hour at the time of
power cut. Mr rajeev told me that he will visit us again after 3-4
days and you kknow what it is like they didn't even care about their
customers that their customers are suffering or what. This was the
first time i buyed the product of whirlpool nd i am sure that i am

I have brought Whirlpool washing machine in the year 1999. It has caught fire in August 2007. Complained to the service person. He suggested to go for upgradation of machine at the cost of 7500 plus taxes. now on 22nd March there was leakage found from the bottom of the machine. complained to the Whirlpool. Service engineer came and said that the part is to be replaced. When he left the home it is found that the supply line to machine was damaged. When complained to the Whirlpool, they said that it is done by me. In fact till service engineer visited home everything was ok and the leakage form bottom. Now agent is blaiming that i am cheater and to get part free of cost i am bleming them. It is surprizing to here such a words form service agent from Whirlpool. Now i decided not to buy any equipments form whirlpool in future. When I am honestly telling that it is damaged by service engineer, they are not listning and even not speaking on phone also.
My fridge Ice magic 285 has stopped working several days ago. The service Engineer who came to see the machine said that Printed Circuit Board has to be replaced. Whn I started contacting their customer services - call center, their standard reply for several days in a row is spare is yet to come & it usually takes time. When I said whom do I contact for urgent help, the person replied that I should have taken the phone number of service engineer when he visited. They can not give any phone number nor they can do any thing except parrot like repeating of status available on their screen.
Customer service is horrible & that is an understatement ! And hold ! I have a home care Plan which ofcourse does not care.
Probably prayer is a better & faster solution.
I've taken a Whirlpool Microwave in Oct 2005. After the warranty period I had done AMC as persuaded by the company representative. Since then I had problem twice and the 1st complain took 2 months to get rectified...the service staff says "there is shortage of spares".
Now again it is out of order and complain has been made, but again there is no spare parts. I really do not know how long it will take time. Micrawave is a necessity in todays life

There is very low cooling, and absolutely no ice formation. Local Whirlpool service agent says gas may have to be filled up, for which he is asking a fee of Rs 1500, which is apparently double, as compared to charge for the same work by other agents.
Kindly give me feedback as to what I should do.
