I have had my auto financed with Wachovia for about three years. I was always on time with my payment until my husband lost his job last year. I have to say Wachovia was always willing to work with me, and respectful, until they were sold out to Wells Fargo. I never asked to do business with Wells fargo. After all of the horrible things I heard about their financing practices I would have never agreed to the loan if I knew I would eventually be doing business with WF.

In the last several months I have been constantly harassed by this company. They have called me constantly (during my work hours) they have called my friends, neighbors, and family. Each time they are rude and condescending. There is one gentleman who I did talk to who was very nice and helpful, I believe he was previously at Wachovia.
After being verbally abused this last time, I informed the customer service rep. that I was recording our conversation; she immediately told me she did not authorize me to record the call, that it was illegal to do so and then she hung up on me. Is this correct? When you call to talk to a rep, there is an automated recording that states “this call may be recorded for quality purposes”. Does that not give the customer the right to record the same conversation? Gee, maybe WF dealer services doesn’t want consumers to have proof of their horrendous “customer service skills.” I say we take a stand and start recording these calls and turn them in to a major news network. Maybe then something will change. There is a way to be stern with customers without being rude, insulting, and disrespectful. I work at a medical office for 13 doctors, we have patients who are delinquent on payments and sent to collections. If I ever treated any of them with the same discourtesy I was treated with I would have been fired a long time ago!

After reading the terrible experiences that the customers, as well as myself, dealing with or has dealth with involving Wells Fargo Auto, I wish that attorney or government rep would come forward and handle the needs of the customers. The customers can't battle with Wells Fargo Auto alone and apparently Wells Fargo Auto is overiding the customers insurance companies, and doing whatever they wish to do. So if there are any attorneys or government reps out there and reading or have read some of these complaints against Wells Fargo Auto, would please provide your contact information or contact the ones that have left their email address. Thank You

have a car loan with WF and owe 3063 and some change. When I got the loan I was making double what I do now and making my payments were easy. Over the last two years, I fell on hard times (haven't we all) and called the company to ask for help and to see what my options are/were. I was told I could put in an offer to settle below what I owed if I could prove I wasn't making what I was when I originally purchased the car. I gave them an offer and they accepted. I was told that I would have the paperwork faxed to me and that I was the proud owner of my car!

The next day (original call was a Tuesday), I got a call from a different person saying I still owed 900 bucks and that my car was in repo. When I told them I had spoken with Angel (he was anything but)and that we were settling the account, I was sent to a manager and told that Angel, didn't have that authority and that basically for 2 days I was lied to. When I lost my cool and reiterated my entire 2 day ordeal, I was told in no certain terms too bad, so sad. For two weeks they called me 12-15 times a day, and actually called my job and demanded that I speak with them, because I had stopped answering my home phone. When I told them I could get fired for getting personal calls they told me "well, we'd stop bugging you if you would pay us." I understand they are in business to make money but to be degraded and belittled is very upsetting and to be sent to repo for no good reason, seems a bit extreme.

I sold a vehicle I owned back in February of '07 to Carmax. Received a pay-off confirmation from Wells Fargo. Now after after 3 months I have been receiving calls on a daily basis from Wells Fargo collections claiming that I am 90 days behind in my payments and I must make a payment right now otherwise I would be reported to the Credit Bureau and the vehicle re-possessed. I asked Car max to call them and clear up the matter. Carmax sent me a copy of the cleared check that was paid to Wells fargo but to no help. I am still receiving calls everyday. I am fed up. Do not know what to do.

they repossessed a vehicle that we had financed through them back in september or october of last year. evidently it was auctioned and supposedly we "owe" them money because they keep calling. they have yet to send written documentation of the amount owed. I will not give financial information over the phone or make any payment/settlement arrangements over the phone. Until I receive written documentation of the amount owed and a address where I can send payments to, I'm considering this a scam.

My auto insurance from the Hartford renewed itself in February, 2017 and they faxed over proof of insurance to Wells Fargo but the next month I saw that I was being billed for Collision insurance on my monthly payment statement. I called Wells Fargo and they said that I was without insurance and therefore they were supplying me with Collision. I told them that I have never been without insurance and they said to have the Hartford refax the proof of insurance. This same thing has gone on this February and as of August 22, 2017 I am still having this problem. I called Balboa the insurance carrier for Wells Fargo and spoke to a lady there who called the Hartford while I was on the phone and the Hartford varified that my husband and I have been insured since 2017 and that we did renew the policy in February. The lady there at Balboa claimed that it was fixed and that we would receive a letter of cancellation for insurance and we did, but I am still receiving the harassing phone calls from Wells Fargo Auto Finance on a daily basis. Today, Sunday August 26, 2017 I received 2 phone calls from them. This must stop!

The local Wells Fargo office in Conway, SC cold called me asking me if i wanted to refinance my auto loan. I set up the appointment and put my 18 month old daughter in day care for the morning so that I could give the representative my full attention. The office was 30 minutes away from my house. The appointment was set for 11:00 am. At 10:45 I recieved a call from the office notifying me that I was not elligle for refinance. I am now out $50 for day care and 2 hours of my time. The worst part is that the underwriters would not accept the application because I had put too many miles on the truck ( I am a carpenter who often travels 50 miles or more one way to get to a job site). I have perfect credit and money to spare, as well as being the perfect customer for over 3 years.

WELLS FARGO AUTO FINANCE IS A JOKE...If you are looking to finance your auto loan...DONT CHOOSE WELLS FARGO...They don't care about how good of a customer you are...and they don't care about how valuable your time and money is...TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE

I have my car financed thru wells fargo auto finance. They have harassed me at work, at home, my family and my ex-husband that I have not been married to for 40 yrs. They just will not stop and I am getting really fed up with them and their collection calls and the rude employees at their company. I am not saying that i'm not behind on some payments, but I am doing the best that I can with a limited income. I have always paid my cars off. If anyone has a class action lawsuit against them, I would like to be in on it. My e-mail is lm945linda@aol.com. Please let me know.

As with a lot of people around the country, I am having some financial difficulties. Got behind on my car loan payments. Received a phone call stating that the car would be repossessed if they did not receive my current late payments (totaling just a little over $1, 000) by 5:00PM. Was able to borrow the money and wired the payment to Wells Fargo. As I am sitting in my car waiting on hold to speak with an account manager, Repo man comes in and hooks my car up to his truck. Finally got on the phone with the agent and gives them confirmation that the payment was sent but tells me that there is nothing they can do as the Repo company already has my car hooked up. Superior manager happens to be out of the office and I cannot speak with someone until tomorrow. I'm not blaming anyone about being late as it is my responsibility to make sure that I make my payments on time but why would they tell me that I have up until 5:00PM to make the payment before a repo man is sent out to retrieve the car. I was also told after the car had been taken away that my situation would have to be reviewed by a manager to see if I can even retrieve the car.

Today is the 4th, my payment is due on the 1st and it was sent out on the 28th. I have a grace period and have asked Wells Fargo, via email and phone to not ever call me unless the loan is 10 days late as I do have a grace period. They have called me today a half dozen times and just a few minutes ago called again and finally left an automated message.

In the past they have called and requested to refinance and after the first time they denied me, I told them not to ask again. They called, and again, asked to refinance my loan. When I told them it was no use because they would not be able to help me, they said sure I can help. So, I let them try again and to be told, denied. I am tired of them asking me to refinance to be told they can't do anything for me. I also stated this in writing. I pay all my bills on time and I am not sure why they can't just leave me alone and chase someone that is past due.

I went to review my online billing today and they again, have charged me for things I was never made aware of. Beware!

I purchased an aout in 2017 and wells fargo is my finance company. I have been with them now for 3 years on a 6 year loan, I lost my job in april of this year2009. So I called them and asked them what the could do to help me. Nothing, zilch, nata. We are sorry sir there is nothing we can do for you, and oh buy the way when r u going to make your april payment its 3 days past due. So iv'e been making my payments out of my savings but now im out. Iv'e called them countless times to see if they could lower the intrest rate from 15% to 8, 9, or 10. Just to help and they said no. Nothing they can do. So I said look put me on the phone with someone who has some common sense because if you dont help me you will get this car back that I owe 25, 000 on so use your brain here. They said we r sorry sir there is nothing we can do, have a good day. Does anyone know if there is a program from the gov. To make finance companys lower intrest on loans? Thanks for your help. And oh yes I will never finance anything thru wells fargo again as long as I live. When your payment is 3 days past due they start calling 5 to 6 times a day every day, even on sundays and holidays, wanting you to set up a check by phone. I hate wells fargo!

My daughter bought a car, I co-signed due to her credit rating. With this company charging so many late charges and late penalties, two years later, there is just as much owed on this car as originally financed, even though the loan payments have been up to date several times. Grant it she has been late a lot due to financial hardships caused by an x-husband and trying to raise two young children. She has worked with Wells Fargo as best as she can, but these inflated late fees and penalties make it impossible to get ahead. Phone fee assessments, other charge payment, late charge assessment...

At one point, they had sent a statement showing only late payment charges due. I sent a check for the amount and even "cushioned" it another $200. The next statement, they had applied the full amount to interest only and then applied past due charges and inflated the original late fees. They did not apply this extra payment I sent to the late fees at all.

They continue to call her and myself starting at 8 am until 8-9 pm everyday-7 days a week. I had moved to a different location and of course required different telephone number. Somehow they discovered this and have started their harrassing calls again. She has a new great job and is trying desperately to get things together, but they have started their harrassment calls there also. They don't stop and think if she loses this job because of these calls, there won't be any payments. I at this time, do not work and am on a fixed income - I cannot help this situation and I have told Wells Fargo this.

She and I are at our wits end with this company. We are drowning and see no way to get our head above the water. My credit rating was perfect, but it has dropped substantially due to this company not willing or aiding and then actually adding additional outrageous charges. We don't know what to do about it.

How do they continually get by with this?

Don't ever get a loan from these theives!

I've commented on others' complaints but need to expound a bit on my experience.

I purchased a vehicle in 2017 with a co-signer at 12.5% (sub prime). it's supposed to be almost paid off however, they just reposessed my vehicle after almost 4 years of timely payments, the loan being 13 calendar days late, my car is gone. also, as many other people have posted in their complaints, I have had collateral protection insurance attached on and off over the course of the last 4 years regardless of the fact that I have had full coverge insuance.

I really want people mostly to know that there are class action law suits open and moving full steam ahead for most of these violations. i'm working on ensuring that I am considered in any and all of them. I have posted links below for those of you who have had the unfortunate experience of being completely raped, bullied, ripped off and lied to by these clowns. I am working to get my car back in my possession by playing their game for now but being the fourth largest bank in the nation, completing a multi million dollar purchase of wachovia and being named in many lawsuits for preditory lending, ruining credit scores falsely and other inappropriate and illegal practices, I hope everyone knows there is a way out of your situation.

Get your paperwork in order because these guys are going down and you may be part of the injured class, keep contacting local representatives in congress (it's mid term election season!) and make sure to keep balboa named in your complaints as they are very tightly connected to the wells fargo bank n. a., wells fargo auto finance and wachovia conglomorate!

Please keep posting your experiences! I may be lucky and get my car back, pay it off and they had better hope they have the title as I do have the resources to take them for a long walk off of a short pier!

I have been trying to register my auto in Virginia and it has taken Wells Fargo over 6 months to send the certificate and necessary documentation to the Virginia DMV.

This is a standard procedure - you have a lien on your car, but you can still register your car, right? Not if it's with Well's Fargo.

Everytime I've called I've had to re-tell my story to a "new" customer service rep who has no idea what has happened with my account. Several times I actually had someone hang up on me! When I finally got the names of two service reps - and used them - I was told by the customer service rep on the line that they didn't know who these people were. BTW - these two people were the only two people that were actually helpful.

Wells Fargo has a customer "call center" - so there is no one-on-one relationship with any of the customer service reps. Which would be fine if there was any continuity, but since there isn't...you have to ask, what's the point?

I'm looking forward to not having a relationship with this company - and I'll never do business with them again.

So it's taken me six months to register my car.

After 19 payments and 19 months of this companies nonsense I am joining the legions of hard working folks and filing a complaint here about Wells Fargo Auto Finace. I read all over this site the horrible collection tactics this company resorts to and the self righteous employees of Wells Fargo and collectors who say "well if you weren't late" in response to the HUNDREDS of complaints against this company. For you self righteous collectors I submit that In 19 payments time, I have NEVER been more than 5 days late on my car loan. Not only have I never been late I pay my loan in advance of the amount due. Each month I send an extra 30-50.00 dollars, in a responsible effort to pay this loan off early.

Just today I was "complimented" in letter format by Wells Fargo for being such a responsible customer. Of Course the Thank you Letter is an effort to lock me into another loan with them. They must be smoking crack if they think I will ever take another dollar they offer. In the same day they want to thank me and give me more "CASH NOW CALL TODAY", Wells Fargo Auto Finance started its habitual monthly harassment because my payment was due 4 days ago. They start phoning at 8:00 am in the morning and their last call was just moments ago at 8:30 pm. No less than 6 times today they've called and I pick up the phone and I hang up the phone. Next time I will blow a whistle in their ear.

I urge anyone who is considering doing business with this company to pursue an alternative loan source. This company is the most over-zealous, unscrupulous and without normal morals of late and past due I have ever seen. RUN AWAY and before you RUN and tell them to shove their money where the sun doesn't shine, make sure you tell them how horrible their reputation is. I tell them just that at every opportunity. I know the moment I can get rid of this car, loan, and this company it will be the best moment of my life.

Since the early out return of my leased vehicle through Wells Fargo, I have been receiving daily calls (up to 4 times a day) from Wells Fargo Auto Finance saying I owed them $1700.00 for damages to my vehicle. I returned the vehicle in almost pristine conditions, but was foolish not to take pictures or have them sign-off on no damage to teh vehicle.

I have asked them to send me pictures of the vehicle and the rude and obnoxious representative told me it is not possible to do this. I told them on numerous occasions to show me proff of the damage (with proof of VIN number) and I will determine if I caused the damage. They refused me this option, therefore they told me they would continue to call until I paid the amount. I told them to please do so and I will not answer, nor return their calls. They can call everyday if they like, i will not answer.

My point is, I got a cease and desist order against them and they were rude enough to tell my lawyer that he does not have the "right" to order this against them and said that this will not stop them from calling. They are the most rude people I have ever dealt with and have since closed my Wachovia Bank account because they are owned by Wells Fargo.

If you are applying for a loan, please make sure the financing is not through Wells Fargo. It will be a horrible experience.

I used Wells Fargo Auto Finance to Lease a car. Before I returned the vehicle I took pictures of the car. Wells Fargo proceeded to charge me for Excess Wear and Tear of the back bumper. I took pictures of the bumper and showed that there was no damage. Wells Fargo representatives threatened to ruin my credit several times if I did not pay the excess wear and tear damage that I disputed with evidence pictures. They said their pictures show damage and refused to let me speak to a manager. I asked to see the pictures that showed the damage they refused to show me pictures of the damage and said the pictures are proprietary. I spoke with Anthony Mason, and another representative that continuously threatened to ruin my credit and felt forced to pay for damages that I disagreed with.

I am been paying on my car for 2 1/2 years and still owe the same amount. I get calls 7-8 times a day. I told them 1 year ago not to call me at work because they called me 7 times in one day and I am not to get personal phone calls. That lasted about a month and then they started again. I lost my documentation or I would have filed with the attorney general. I was told the number would be erased and now here I am again getting calls at 7am till 9pm 7-10 times a day and started receiving calls at work and the message that was left with my receptionist was "it is in my best interest to call". I am behind and doing the best I can and have every intention of getting caught up but they wouldn't even accept smaller payments.
Earlier this year I had made the payments promised and was woke up 2 weeks later by a very rude and intimidating repro man who didn't care about my receipts I had found out through him the order was placed a week after my payment was made and they had received my confirmation through Money Gram. I did not sleep the rest of the night and called until they opened and they apologized and said the car would be back within the hour. It was several hours later.
I am just so tired of all the harrassing phone calls and being threatened constantly to have it repossed.

I too, among the thousands of people that have also lost money and/or their car, homes, etc. by banking with Wells Fargo feel that some legal action needs to be taken against them.

The question is, "How do you sue a bank?" I'm afraid that answer is only going to be answered by someone with pockets that are far deeper than mine.

If that doesn't give you any idea of how frustrated I am with Wells Fargo, I'll inform you of the entire 2 year history.

I had a checking and savings account with them for years, no problems. Everything was fine before financing an auto loan through them, then things changed. The first 6 months I had no problems, basically because I had it setup to automatically withdraw from my check account with them. Then I switched to a Credit Union and it only went downhill from there.

First, like most of you in my shoes, I received the statements regarding not carrying insurance. And like most of you I sent them proof as soon as possible that I indeed have valid insurance. 7 months later that issue finally resolved, but the balance on my bill for 7 months of "not" having insurance didn't go away, ever.

I accessed my auto loan account via the Wells Fargo website, to my "surprize" they had that wrong too. When I clicked on a payment it opens into a window that is suppossed to show exactly how much of that one payment went towards principal or interest. I'm not sure if a Wells Fargo employee paid themself from my car payments, but when I clicked on a $1, 000 payment, for example, $150 went towards principal and $300 towards interests. My questions is, where is the other $550 going?

I then sat down and went all the way through my account, payment by payment, adding up the missing ammount from each payment and the late fees from not paying the insurance they were so kindly to tack onto my bill, along with the insurance itself and that was the "past due" ammount. Which at that time was over $3000.

Any "bank" thats has an account past due by $3000, IS going to repossess THEIR automobile. They don't care if your at work or on vacation. My fiance' happened to be drving my car that day to work when Wells Fargo called her saying that if she didn't tell her where she had the car, they were going to sue her for the outstanding balance.

Unsure of what to do, she let them come to her work and take the car. Every payment was on time and made in full if not more than what they wanted. I just sent them a $1, 000 payment 2 days before they took it. Before I had time to log onto my account via Wellsfargo.com, then cancelled it. I couldn't log onto it, they showed no account with my account number.

I too have been yelled and screamed at when "trying" to just understand why they say I owe what I owe, and gave up calling them. I then went down to a local Wells Fargo branch (Houston, TX) and began informing a banker of my problems. He showed that it was repossessed and didn't have anymore information for me than that. Other than go to Arizona to the ONLY Auto Finance office in all of Wells Fargo. I don't think so.

So now I have no car and can't get a car because I now have crappy credit showing a repossession. Thanks Wells Fargo and all your minimum wage conficts you have answering your calls. :-/

Do not lease from this company. They will charge you for every little problem with the car, it the tires aren't brand new and top of the line brand will charge you an exhortation price for new tires. It's comparable to doing business with a bad mortgage loan company. I will never do business with this company again and would only lease from the car manufacture no matter how much more it will cost, as the banks are no longer consumer driven. They force you to either buy the car or release, if you don't they will overcharge you big time. Here is an area where consumers need to file a class action law suit as our governments do nothing and give them a free hand at ripping the consumer off.

We have no business with Wells Fargo Auto Finance, but their employees keep calling us. Sometimes they said they're calling Pedro and sometimes just left their first names & phone number and ask us to call them back.

I remember I answered their call and told them no Pedro with the number they're calling. I think it was 3/27/09 Fri 12:15pm. However, they still call us.

Sometimes they show their phone number [protected], sometimes they hide it. Their phone numbers shown on screen on the following dates and call times ("No Name" is shown on screen):
3/21/09, Sat, 3:20 pm
3/22/09, Sun, 10:50 am
3/22/09, Sun, 4:02 pm
3/27/09, Fri, 12:15 pm

They hide their phone numbers on the following dates and times ("Withheld" and "No Number" are shown on screen):
3/23/09, Mon, 3:07 pm
3/23/09, Mon, 4:18 pm
3/24/09, Tue, 9:46 am
3/24/09, Tue, 11:13 am
3/26/09, Thur, 4:10 pm
3/31/09, Tue, 10:20 am

Two callers left their first names "Randal" and "Anthony" while leaving their number [protected] and asked us to call them back -- didn't mention the name Pedro. That was after I asked them not to call and no such person they're calling for.

Again, we have no business with Wells Fargo Auto Finance. It could be:
1. they dial a wrong number, or
2. Pedro didn't give them his real number

They're calling to a cell phone number and we have this number for years already, so it's barely possible that this number belongs to Pedro. I think they start calling us in 2017. I don't remember what month because somehow all of the sudden some other people called and asked for Pedro before March 2017. Then we start paying more attention to these calls since Wells Fargo Auto Finance has been calling non-stop and we felt harassed by them.

I went on March 13, 2017 to refinance my vehicle. They were insistent that they could give me a great deal. Long story short, during the refinancing they began to discuss home equity loans. I fell for it hook line and sinker. Signed a bunch of papers with the loan representative's innocuous statement "sign here, this is just a form stating that we have the authority to retrieve copies of your W2s", "sign here . . . etc., " Well, unfortunately, I signed a bunch of papers and did not read anything very carefully. Initially, I was paying 11.25% on a 2017 BMW, had been paying $272.00 for one year and owed approximately $10, 000 on my vehicle. I left the office with the statement that all paperwork and my check would be sent through the mail and at that time I could review everything and if I was in agreement, I could cash the check, thus sealing the deal. Well, none of that happened. Here is it is April 17, 2017 and I have yet to receive any paperwork from that office and I have not received a check. I was initially told that it would be for $5, 900, but paperwork that I subsequently got from the auto office in Arizona shows only $1, 851. They added paperwork behind a page that I apparently signed and it shows that my new percentage rate is 20.33% for a monthly payment over 54 months of $350.00 for a total of $18, 900.00. When I called (for about the 100th time), I was told there was nothing that could be done, that I had signed the paperwork and that I was bound by this contract. The manager of the branch actually told me that he didn't know why I was complaining because he thought that I had received "a sweet deal".

They are sweet and charming at the beginning of the transaction and will bend over backwards for you. Once they get your signature, they are rude and will not return your calls. I guess I will eventually receive all paperwork and my check from them, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

In 2017 I was approved for an auto loan with Bristol West. About 3 months after having my car I receive a letter stating that Wells Fargo will be taking over my loan because I bank with them and to make all my payments to them now. WTF? They would not even approve an auto loan to me but now that someone else have they can take over? Whatever!

All the issues begin 2017. First the car breaks down and it cost me $790 for a fuel pump and then the brakes go out and that cost me another $500. They fuel pumps goes out at the end of april.07 and the brakes in oct.07. Even with all these issues I still make my payments but when you r short on money it will catch up to you. Now Dec.07 rolls around and I don't have enough to make my dec.22 payment on time because of all the catching up I have been having to do with my other bills. I call WFAF in Jan.08 to see if I can do a post dated check for Dec.07 payment. The rep says yes but the payment has to be at least $800 and some odd dollar amount because I missed Jun.07 payment and I only paid half of Nov.07. Okay I am lost now. I tell her that can't be because I show that I did pay for Jun.07 and if what she say is true, why is this my first time hear about it? She wants to go over my account from Jan.07. I'm cool with that. She says that I made a payment of $450 something dollar in Jan.07. Ok you are wrong already because I show that I made the amount of the payment which is $421.20. She moves forward to Feb and so on. for two more months she states that I paid more then what my bank records show was taken out of my account. Then she states that I missed Jun.07 but Aug.07 to Oct.07 payments was made but Nov.07 only $250 was paid and that They received a payment of $200 in Jan.08. Okay I tell her that so I missed Jun.07, Nov.07 $171.20 was not paid. Dec.07 and Jan.08 has not been paid so I am $1434.80 behind in payments with notate charges being added. Then she tells me that I owe $1442.34 with late charges. So I say that the late charges are only $7.54? She says that the late charges are $180 and some odd dollars. I say how is that If I am 3 1/2 months behind and that My monthly payments are $421.20. She has no answer. Everything she is saying does not add up from the making a payment of more then payment amount to missing payments. I try to post date a check but she tells me that it is not enough and that I need to pay at least $800. I tell her that when she show proof of this then I can send in the payment but until then I can Pay Dec.07 and I will pay Jan. 2/08/08. She states that my account is 71 days past due. I tell her if that is true then where in the hell is the missing june payment you claim I did not pay because if today is 2/3/08 and counting back 71 days then my account became past due 11/23/07. So where did the payment that you claim u received of $200 in Jan.08 go towards? Again she has no answer but keeps repeating to me that my account is 71 days past due and that I owe$1442.34 with the late fees included. So I repeat my self telling her that if I still owe Jun, Dec, Jan and $171.2 of Nov. I should owe you a little over $1600 but you are saying that I owe $1442.34 so how about u add 3 months of 421.20 up plus the 171.2 you say I still owe and $180 in late fees and see if you come up with $1442.34. She states that she needs at least $800 to do a post dated check and I tell her that I can pay Dec. Which is what I know is late and that I can Jan 2/08. She tells me that she can't do it so I tell her then we have nothing more to talk about and to have a nice day . She tells me that they need to know how I'm going to pay the account and I say when you show proof you will get your money. then I hang-up. I'm to the point now that they can come get the car because they have my money but are acting like they don't and their records show things that are not even true unless a money angel came and gave them extra m0ney on my behalf. What really gets me the most is how the reps. talk to you. She was very rude and kept cutting me off. Well I would think that if someone owed you money you would take any money they tried to give you to make the amount less even after offering $500 now and $342.2 the next week that they would have taken it but I guess they are just to good for my money. What was the real killer was that they say I owe Jun payment but nothing was never sent ot me and they are the type of company to call one day after a payment is due so what really happened with my Jun payment? And if that is true why wasn't my July payment counted as june and so forth so that I would be missing Oct. Payment and that my account would be 100 something days past due. This makes me really wonder if WFAF passes out drugs for lunch to their staff! Im starting to think that they think that we as consumers are not very bright people. I can see if I was trying to get over on them but I'm was just trying to give them the money that I know I owe them and that I myself can prove to them that I owe them. She did not want to see anything that I had to show her that I paid Jun. Now I did call them on 1/30 and was told that I could do a post dated check for $421.20 and pay Jan within the next two weeks but then calling three days later and getting a different story really concerns me. Right now I don't trust anything they have to say and do not care about them reposing the car because they can't tell their ### from their heads.

I would not wish this company on anyone. I have had my fair share of issues in life but sometime things happen that are out of your control and you have to do what you have to do. But the worst of my problem is that I can't even traded in the car because I still owe $6000 more then what the car is worth but without the car I was approved for $25,000. Go figure. Looks like I will be car shopping again real soon.

And to anyone out their looking to buy a car, If Wells Fargo approves you ask them if someone else did also and go with them.

First, the calls begin one day after the payment is due and they will call everyday until it is paid. They break rules of FDCPA, regarding multiple calls in one day from the dialer and use heavy tactics for a loan within 7 days of late payment. The collectors are abusive and refuse to allow you to speak with a manager, which is blatant against FDCPA. They hide all phone numbers to contact anyone except the call center, and disconnect the call if you will not give them a payment over the phone. If you give a payment over the phone, they will date it incorrectly and then call you a liar, or one time I told them when I believed I would be able to make the payment and they put through a check with no approval. I am disabled and income comes in on a different day every month, as I receive SSDI instead of SS retirement benefits. If your loan is one day past due, they will not allow you to call customer service, it routes right back through collections and another refusal to speak with management regarding improper business practices. I have been employed in this line of work and used to respond to complaints from proper sources. Well, here I go. I am tired of the way they talk to me.

Where to start with Wells Fargo. I first financed a car with WF in 2017. I was never late and never had a problem until I lost my job. The day I lost my job, I called WF to inform them to update my employer information, big mistake keeping them informed. This is when the phone calls started; before I was ever late, I started getting phone calls both at home and on my cell phone from WF asking if I had found a job. I told them my payments are current and I still maintain full coverage insurance so there is no need to call me daily. There is nowhere on my contract that says I must maintain a fulltime job in order to keep the SUV! One month after I lost my job, I switched my insurance from AAA to State Farm, still maintaing full coverage. I called WF, had both insurance companies fax all the needed documents to WF. Everything should be fine. In December 2017, I get a phone call from WF saying that I am 45 days past due on my car payment and they have the right to repo my car at any time...WHAT? I asked the girl to tell me my last payments, which didn't match up to what my records said. I then asked her to tell me in detail where every dollar is going (as far as interest, etc.). Then I find out I have been charged over $800.00 for there minimum coverage Balboa auto insurance. I told her I that I have insurance, and once again had to call my past & current insurance companies and have them fax coverage dates to WF. I get a cancellation letter for the WF insurance in January, but then I'm charged $120.00 at the end of January for insurance. Thus again, making my payments fall behind. Now I'm told on top of the $17.00 each month they say I'm late, there is also a "MISC" $117.00 late charge. I asked what this was for and no one could explain it to me. One person said it was the balance from last month, another said it was late charges and the last said it was insurance. In the end, I am still waiting to be creditied the full amount of the insurance, plus the $117.00 and the other late charges. All together I faxed my insurance information about 4 or 5 times... The company is so incompetent that I wouldn't be shocked to get a phone call in the next hour with a rep asking me why I don't have insurance. This is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with.

I have gotten behind on my loan. I have tried several times to speak with customer service to try to fix the account and get it current. About a month and a half ago I was told that my account was current, but then a few days later, I received a phone call stating that a payment from JULY was missed. So, that made my account behind again. They told me that if I made a payment of $312 that would bring my account current. While I was on the phone with that Customer Services Rep, I received another phone call from another person at Wells Fargo. She left a message saying that I needed to contact her immediately. I called her back to let her know that I was just speaking with another rep. This representative informed me that I still needed to pay $273 to get my account current. Then I received a call today, about two weeks later, stating that I am behind 2 months and needed to pay $1088. Every single time I talk to a different representative at Wells Fargo Auto Finance, there is a different amount due. Nobody can stick to the same amount. I also think that something is VERY wrong when they tell me 4 months later that a payment was missed. Every time I call they tell me that if I pay a certain amount, then I will be able to defer a payment. I have been told that SEVERAL times but have yet to see a deferment. I just wanted to get my account current, but every time I try, they come up with another story as to why I owe more money and my truck is back in collections. I have always done what they said I needed to do to get it caught up and made the payments that they told me to. I should not be in constant fear that I am going to lose my truck just because someone changes their mind about how much I owe. The amount should be a constant, no matter who I talk to.

I have been reading all the complaints against Wells Fargo and have found so many I can not count them all. My complaint is basically the same as all the others, being cheated by this terrible company. If there were any way for me to get out of this loan I would. My payments have been being used for some kind of insurance I don't even need. This started months ago and since that time I have done everything I can to fix what Wells Fargo has broken. My insurance co. has faxed them stating I have never had a break in my policy not once but twice, with me in their office. I have called and faxed and faxed and faxed with no results. For all my efforts the only thing I have to show is seven or eight calls each day from their collection agency for something I don't even owe. SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CAN BE DONE TO FIX THIS STUPID COMPANIES MISTAKES. This is ruining my credit and about to make me have a nervous breakdown. Thank you for hearing me out.

My old car got really dangerous, I went car shopping w/ my mom, in 2017 & purchased a 2017 Accent, in August. One year later, I receive a call from Wells Fargo in Louisville, the woman Sheri Latimer stated that she was reviewing loans & noticed that I had always paid on time, she stated that Wells Fargo would like to have the loan between them and myself dropping my mom as the co-signer. I was really happy to hear this, because even when I made a payment, if it had not posted yet, even if it was one day late, they would call my mother - who would then reconfirm w/ me that payment had been made.
So, I take off from work, go to the W.F. A in Middletown, and discuss some things. I wanted to know what my payments would be: the same (of course at a higher interest rate, due to my mother having exceptional credit). I wanted to know if I would still have gap insurance, I was told yes - and cut off, she said "Ariel, everything will be the same the only difference is that your mom is no longer on the loan - it will be just you and us. I looked at your credit score, and you do need to take care of a credit card, however, you can also apply for one of ours. And you are also eligible to get up to $1000 back, that you have already invested in your car."

I swear thats how the conversation went - I was really happy when I left, because finally everything was falling into place... then came August of 2017, when my car got totaled out by a teenager going the wrong way. My gap claim got denied by Beacon Gap - I asked why, and they said because you REFINANCED. I immediately called Wells Fargo, & told Tammy, a long standing employee there, and I got Beacon back on the phone, Tammy argued that they were wrong to deny the claim, due to me being on the original loan. WFA basically thought that by me being an original olbigator with the original loan, that it transferred over - but it didn't. I would have had to open up a new gap claim at the time of the signing in September, just as I did when the car was first purchased in August of 2017. My gap ins would have cost me somewhere in the $300 range... had I known - I would have gotten it, when I received the invested money in my car... if Ms. Latimer had just told me bluntly that she did not know whether I still had gap insurance, I would have called Beacon myself and taken care of the issue, I had the money to pay for it. SO now, I get phonecalls all the time from Wells Fargo, all of them having no idea of whats going on - I have a $3000 gap, and I am now making payments of $276.59 each month, plus my current car payment - I realize that mistakes happen, but I asked all the right questions, and was told the wrong information! And because of that, I am suffering - I asked why is there not a disclaimer that includes your new account number, to say that if you previously refinanced to contact your gap subscriber - but I was informed by Trenice in the W.F.A that the consumer should be aware - I told her that I was aware - she told me that I should have read my gap claim policy better, and that W.F.A wants to get this account taken care of immediately - my loan payoff date was not until 2017 - I asked if it were possible for them to work with me, maybe do $100 a month - no was the answer, "Your agreement was to pay 276.59 until the loan was paid in full." I reminded her that I was not the original signer of the gap paperwork, my mother was, and that I inquired at the time of signing if gap was still on my vehicle. Trenice told me that "THAT WAS HERESY."

Conversation over - I am so filing in small claims court - this company is terrible - if they did not know, they should have said they did not know at the time, instead of telling me that I still had gap, OR they could have said "Let me take a look, you know I am not sure, it would be best for you to call Beacon & contact them." I believed their words, and thought they were right - implied covenant of good faith.

I have been reading complaint after complaint about Wells Fargo Auto Finance and I don't understand how they can remain in business honestly. My wife and I have two vehicles with them, an 06 Ram and an 06 PT Cruiser. The PT we have been able to keep up on our payments as we can afford them right now. The truck on the other hand we cannot and have been struggling for about a year and a half since I hurt my back at work and lost most of my income. I work for the State of California as a Peace Officer and when I was working the almost 800 dollar payment every month was easily affordable. Since I injured my back though my income has dropped by half and now we are living pay check to pay check. We have done everything that we could to get rid of the truck as far as selling it or trading it in for something cheaper. The problem is is that we owe too much on it and no body will take it. After a year and a half of struggling we decided the best way to go would to be a voluntary repo. We were denied this and when we called to suggest it were told that we had to keep trying to sell it first. The lady put lies on our account saying that we had a death in the family and that is why we are late on the payment and that we would make our payment on the 24th of the month. She said that we get paid on the 23 which was a lie too. in the 2 plus years that we have been making our payments every time we made any type of payment arrangement it was on the 1st or 15th as that is when we got paid. Along with the cursing at us and belittling us saying that we can't blame the economy on our late payments we got nowhere. I find it funny that we can't blame the economy on our late payments and not being able to make our payments but they will ask the government for millions of tax payers(us)dollars because the economy has caused them to be unable to pay their bills. We are not trying anymore to have the truck voluntarily repo'd. Today we tried to call and request that our loan be extended out another 6 years and our payments be cut in half. We told them we don't want to get out of any payments and to put the late payments at the end of the loan. Denied again. Denied after telling them that this is the last option, if they want to repo the truck it's fine, come get it. They can sell it for pennies on the dollar at auction and try and sue us for the remainder. They won't get far though because we are going to file for bankruptcy if it comes to that and they won't get anything from us. I don't understand why these people don't want to help out if it's going to get them their money. It's the bankers fault for all this happening in the first place. Giving out loans like they are used under ware because they wanted their money now. Now what has happened? It has all come crashing down on them and they have no one to blame but themselves. Not just with auto loans but with home loans too. All of the people who went into these homes with these ridiculous mortgages because the banks just wanted to make money. All it has done is hurt American's and put us in this recession that they don't want to believe has come upon us. If anyone knows anything that we can do please let me know. We, as are many other American's, are at our wits end. We don't know what to do and are getting further and further behind with everything. Please help.

I purchased a 2017 Ford Mustang GT and used Wells Fargo for the financing. After 2 years of good payment history, my husband and I decided to go ahead and pay off the car when we refinanced our home. Our mortgage company called WFAF on 8/20 requesting a 10 day pay-off. My husband then called on 8/21 to verify the pay-off, as we were closing on 8/23. The mortgage company & my husband were both quoted $13,163. So, we close on 8/23 and the check was cut by our mortgage company on 8/28 and I call WFAF to get the pay-off address, as I had left the information at home. I was informed by a very ugly representative that I was quoted the Principal Balance, not the pay-off. I tried for 3 days to dispute the information. However, there were no notes in WFAF's that anyone had requested a pay-off. So, to keep this from driving out, I paid over the phone the remaining $422 and overnight my check to the address that I was given by the "supervisor".

A week goes by, and we get the check back! The letter that came with the check stated that we didn't have an account with Wells Fargo! So, I call WFAF. AFter 2 hours on the phone, I finally spoke to someone who had a little bit of intelligence. She explained that the 'supervisor" gave me the wrong address. She told me that if I would overnight the check again to the correct address, they would back date the interest and penalties to 8/31. So, once again, I did as I was instructed too and overnighted the check. For 3 weeks, my husband and I rec'd threatening calls, stating that if we didn't pay the remaining $53.23, they would come get our car. I spoke to numerous reps stating that they were going to waive the $53.23 due to their mistakes, but to no avail. I finally caved and paid the remaining balance to get my title released. So, buyers beware! I wouldn't finance a dog house through these people. They lie, they manipulate, and don't stand behind their word at all. This is by far the worse experience I have EVER had trying to pay a vehicle off.

My husband and I recently purchased a 2017 Nissan frontier from a Honda dealership, and they chose wells Fargo to finance for us. They even helped us pay off the remaining balance of the car that we had as a trade in. The total finance was something over $14,000. Our credit isn't bad, but the best the loan dept could get was 17.7% interest. WHAT?!?!

The payments weren't bad though, but we had just had our 1st child 2 months later & with the days he missed on non-paid company holidays and my non-paid maternity leave, money got tight. We only owed $740 total, but we had to eat, pay for gas & take care of utilities and rent, the cars just weren't that high up on my priority list. It wasn't like we could live in them if we didn't pay rent, or eat them when we got hungry. I can truthfully understand if I were trying to rip them off and just say "screw them", but we are an average working class married couple with a newborn child, who has their financial ups and downs (who doesn't these days), but we are definitely not trying to not pay for something we purchased. We got 45days past due and these people had been calling 8-12 times daily (on both of our cell phones), from 8am-930pm, 7 days a week trying to collect since the first day it was due on Dec 8.

If I don't have the money, and I tell you I won't have the money until the end of that month (BUT I WILL PAY THE TOTAL AMOUNT DUE + LATE CHARGES @ 1 TIME OVER THE PHONE WITH AUTO WITHDRAWAL FROM A SECURE Federal Credit Acct) , what makes you think that I will have it every time after that when you call BEFORE the time that I told you? That's just plain harassment.

The financing company for my car was way more nice. They understood and waited for their payment WITHOUT calling daily. Wells Fargo CS reps are so rude and disrespectful. One person tells me they will be filing an exemption request for me, and the next tells me that they don't offer that and I needed to pay right then. Figure out what's going on! I finally just turned my phones off & stopped answering them. AND I made the payment, in full, 2 days before what I told them.

To top that off, we had always had full coverage insurance on ALL of our vehicles,Never go without that or GAP insurance, but we got a weird letter in the mail shortly after receiving our monthly statement. We have never had any lapse in policy or terminations of any policy, but it said that they are placing our account under THEIR collateral insurance because we failed to provide proof of insurance. WTF?!?! I started thinking "who didn't do their job at the dealership"? So we fax a copy of the insurance card, mailed a copy to their address, AND have the insurance agent call WHILE I WAS ON HOLD WITH THEM BOTH. They said they would fixed the problem and that we would not have to worry about the rate increase next month. 2 weeks later we received another letter, dated AFTER our previous conversation, stating that we still owed the amount with our next truck payment. I called again and they said they never received a copy of the insurance declaration page. They didn't even have notes on my account about talking to the agent or me during the prior conversation. They say we may have talked to the "wrong financing dept." How many do you have there? I couldn't believe this!

Then I decided to play their game on them. *grins devilishly *I faxed a copy of the information that they needed to the CORRECT fax # AND called them on the correct CS phone # every 30min until they faxed me a confirmation saying that the policy had been canceled and they received the information that they needed. They probably got 14 calls and faxes over an 8hour period :D

I wouldn't wish this company on any of my friends or enemies. They need to be reprimanded from a higher level and I wouldn't even be surprised to see the office shut down. PLEASE DON'T USE THEM!

We had requested a two month extension due to my husband being out of work for 9 months. We received a letter stating that our request for extension was accepted. What the letter didn't say was that it was only a one month extension. Our 1st payment was due December for the two month extension...but since it was a 1 month instead when we paid the December payment we were told we were now 1 month behind. They should have worked with us to resolve this. Instead we get to talk to their collections department 3 or 4 times a day...and they are such a "lovely" group of people. We are tired of being harrassed. It was their error and they should work with us to resolve it.

I do not have an account with Wells Fargo, and never have. But someone who used to have the same cell phone number as I have now and have had for 2 years apparently does/did have an account with them. The same individual has called and harassed myself and my wife, lying to me and her, every day for the past 3 weeks. Every day we tell him that the individual he is looking for is not at this number and has not been for some time, but he continues to tell my wife that have I said one thing and me that my wife said something else. I have asked him for his name and badge number but gives us different names and refuses to give his badge/ID number. I have called the number back and requested to speak/complain to a mananger, but since I do not have an account number and I am no about to give them my SSN they say that I cannot file a complaint and will not let me speak to a supervisor. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and am in the process of filing one with American Scammers, not to mention that I am a retired service-member. I just wanted to warn someone that this is not a good company to do business with and they WILL unnecessarily harass you!

Please don't give these CS representatives any power. I envision Wells Fargo's Auto Customer Service Dept. as a "pit" with a bunch of misfits who can't get better jobs...sitting in little cubicles or at cheap tables with their creepy little headsets and they are all probably competing with each other (like a bunch of monkeys in a cage) to be the bad guy of the day through their daily chores of making customers miserable (as miserable as they probably are). They must sit around and act like big shots for each other while they pull off their daily harassing calls and inappropriate nasty immature lying behavior.
GOD is watching you! You will be held accountable for your behavior. Karma is not the worst of your concerns. We all report to an Authority way bigger than anything you could ever imagine in your tiny little pathetic minds. GOD be with you! Good people of the world..please don't give these losers any power ...just be above their rotten behavior. God will take care of them.

I have never had to deal with a company likes WELLS FARGO AUTO FINIANCE., I have been dealing with collection department. They are very rude & inconsiderate and unethical. I was calling to pay car loan OFF! asked to talk to a supervisor to make a very large payment and to make sure the payment of $15, 000 is processed correctly. I was hung up on 3 times. This is LUDICROUS! I WARN! everyone if you get a auto car loan through Wells Fargo try to contact other companies. I have been with Wells Fargo 4yrs and to be treated like this is LUDICROUS! ex specially to pay off my auto loan in full.

Seems the less you owe, month by month, the more they call.
Financial straits for a year, and now a five year note almost paid for, late monthly, but never 30 days late, ...they do get their payment and the late charge every single month, but they are awful people.
I have blocked their calls from one number and the other one they call from gets a screaming fax line.
I refuse to speak to them ever again.
And in 5 months they'll be gone from our lives forever anyway.

I completely agree! My husband and I have been so screwed over with our vehicle purchase in 2017. The day that the loan was taken out they increased the loan balance by $60. Having had some hard times and getting behind on our payments we got everything back on track. In the mean time they charged us late payment fees and an"other charge" that totaled 25.84 for each late payment, which the "other charges" alone totaled over $300.00. Now we are down to make our last payment and I go to make it online... and it says that my payment is past due. Apparently without any notification our loan matured on Sept. 22. When I asked what we owed at that point the agent said that she didn't know. Although my online account says that we only owe 390.55 the agent informed me that we owe $560.00. When I asked why, she said it was due to late fees and tacked on interest from late payments. I find it funny that if you take the last two payments that we made plus what they say we owe now and it makes our last payment almost $1200.00, but when I pointed it to the agent she said no it wasn't... I quickly told her to get a calculator and do the math. I will NEVER again use Wells Fargo as a lender, and I will warn everyone that I now to never use them. They do everything in their power to get as much money out of you as possible.

Hi, I also have a car loan thru Well Fargo Auto Finance.I have too also received very threatening and disturbing calls from the collections depertmenet. It is getting really out of hand On my Phone i receive up to 10 calls each day, my wife also receives the same amount of calls within minutes after they call me, so this is 20 times a day.You can imagine how harrassing this can get.My mother also recives calls at home and at work, which almost costed her the job.We have asked them multiple times to stop the calls especially the ones at her work, but they have refused to work with us .I am not saying that we are not behind on the payments but but we have always paid them .We even paid them $900 for the BAlboa insurance because they refused to accept the insurance that we already had. They also illegally withdrawed money from a checking account i previously paid with, without any authorization, which put the the account over the limit .We have had nothing but problems with this company.WElls Fargo is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST BANK TO WORK WITH.They have the rudest employees that can care less . NEVER EVER would i advise anyone to get a loan thru them. If there is anyone that is going to file any lawsuit agaist them, please definitely contact me at
jeny_12@abv.bg I would like to see this go further.I see there are a lot of people complaining about the same problem. It is time for this to stop!
