The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I went to Walmart with the intention of buying watch batteries for several watches I own. The employee at the counter took each of the five watches lifted them up and stated: this is not from here x5 and said she could not help me. We cannot open your watches and cannot allow you to use our tools. I never asked to use the tools. I picked up my watches and asked if she had a band for one of them and she pointed into space and said she could not help me with that either. She never even offered to sell me batteries. I turned and left the store angry. Customer service does not exist anymore. The Employees are rude and lazy and do not know how to talk to customers.

Thanks for sticking up for me DV8 ED, I really appreciate it. Also Tasha you dummy. I was not told five times the same thing, that x5 was a typo just like the typo that DV8 ED pointed out.

Typo or not, it seems like DV8 ED and diazchris are the same person by DV8 ED's latest reply.

One more thing, how the fluck did Tasha get two positive votes. I can understand her voting herself, but a second thumbs up vote for a troll?

I bought batteries that weren't included, so I had to buy them again.

As was stated, many stores won't let employees touch products that are not stocked in their own stores due to issues of liability and insurance. If they so much as drop and scratch your watch, they are liable for damages and cannot replace it from their own stock. The clerk should have explained this to you rather than just saying they can't touch it, but that is probably because they know the policy exists but not why.

In the future, all I can suggest is no matter if you're going to Wal Mart or somewhere else, take the battery out and bring that with you. The employee doesn't need to see the watch. So long as you have the battery, you can pick it out yourself by looking at the labels. If you lost the old battery, look up the watch specs online before going to the store and those will tell you what to buy so you can ask for it by name.

This isn't a matter of a lazy employee. It's a matter of companies having worse customer service out of necessity to adjust to a more litigious society. If customers are allowed to sue for the smallest, stupidest things, the companies have to respond with policies like these in order to protect themselves. The result is that the average customer with a real need for help suffers.

I get sick of people complaining all the time. Hey if you don't like the service go somewhere else. If that employee would have ruined your watch you would have had a cry baby fit. It is store policy. They cannot change watch batteries nor lone you their tools.
