Vons Being rude for second time and the last time she was very abusive towards me and made me feel I was a criminal

On 03/29/2022,@16:53 pm I was at Vons I remembered I forgot to bring my shopping bag, I went and asked the lady at the self cashier lady asked if she knows where they are, she pointed out and I took one and was going to get what I needed. She stopped me and said you have to pay first very angrily and rude, she talked to me like I was a criminal. I said I do that all the time when I forget my bag. She said why don’t you use the shopping cart? I said I am almost 66 had back surgery and knee replacement and I am still have pain most of the time I can’t push it. She goes you have to pay she takes the bag and takes me to self service register and without me agreeing she checks me out and lives since I never had used the self service registration, I didn’t know what to do, I read that it says pay. So I asked a customer if he can help me and he did. The price with tax was $1.17. After I finished my shopping I wanted to make sure that what I did was right. And the employee at the registration said yes absolutely I can get the bag and shop and pay at the end. I asked another employee that I found out she was the manager. I explained to her that the lady at the registration has made me feel uncomfortable and felt been judged and abused verbally because I am not white and I am not American. I told her that She talked to me like I was thief. I told her that Kelly that is her name has me made me upset and disrespected me. I started to cry. I couldn’t stop crying. She started to say I totally understand and it is not acceptable and she hugged me and I couldn’t stop crying, and felt embarrassed because I thought everyone is looking at me. I went outside and tried to stop crying because my husband and my dog were in the car waiting for me, so I didn’t want them to see me crying. I told my husband latter on what happened and couldn’t stop crying and remembering how many times people have talked to me like her because I am not white or have an accent. I said as much I remembered because still I am shocked why I was treated like that. I have been Customer of von’s for more than 30 years and never have been treated disrespectfully and have had a bad experience. I have know idea what I want to happen, because still I am shocked for what I experienced. Thank you

Desired outcome: I have no idea but I know I am going to do something for first time to stop anyone getting abused because of their race or how they look.

Vons Bad service

I was checking out at 7:30pm Friday, 3-25-22.

There was only one check-stand open, not one express lane open, the line was about 7 people deep.

It took over 10 minutes for me to get up to the register.

What happened to "Three's a crowd"? It was a great policy.

This was untenable. I find no good reason not to have at least one regular lane and one express lane. Not everyone can use the self-check, i.e., no credit or debit card, handicapped people, etc...

Please correct this error in scheduling a.s.a.p..

Desired outcome: At least more than one human checker always on duty.

Vons Service

Dear fellow Americans,

This is reneh balian, I am./100 Disabled due to car accidents and injured in line off duty.

Having said that I am taking controlled medications prescribe by 3 doctors who are authorized to prescribe these medications!

Yesterday I went to your pharmacy at VONS PHARMACY at Tujunga Ca, I spoke with MRS BARAKAT (what a nasty woman), I explained to her my medications were in my car and I have police report that my car stolen with my belongings including my medications on it. (upon request will be provided)

She starts yelling at me, called me a [censored]ing drug dealer! Wow 😮

Therefore I said please transfer all my prescription to cvs, which she said they need to generate a call! I went to pharmacy and they made call to mrs barakat to release the prescription and it was on speaker, she claimed that I am drug dealer!

Please investigate this matter as soon as possible since based on american disability act she undermined my privacy!

I reserve the right to open a lawsuit against her and VONS immediately, if no one take this issue seriously and take proper action!

Vons Hot food employees service.

These people (Amy), need to Stop having your food in their hands and turn their backs to you,

I have trust issues, they could be spitting in customers bag of food (everybody know Mexicans don't like Black people).

This Unprofessionalism Needs to STOP.

I have read somany other people complain about these Vons workers, So I know it's NOT just me.

I'm going to Stop shopping at this EVIL, Racist store, this is has happened 3 or 4 times.

Vons Customer service

I was trying to take my things to checkout and the associate Robert S from vons at 3rd and Vermont in Los Angeles California was very rude. He was talking to me like if I was an employee asking me “who do I work for” because I was inputting my member discount. In addition, I did not like the way he approached me. I felt very uncomfortable and I left the store unhappy because of this experience.

Vons Employee

Around 10:15 am today we’d feb 9 at your store in long beach ca traffic circle - I was waiting in the back of the line with no basket that I could find carrying my stuff trying to get to the counter I barely had enough space to put my groceries on the conveyor belt while this was happening your employee who is bagging and your employee who was at the register were clowning around singing a song and laughing when I said oh just please don’t sing that right now. (it’s an irritating song that plays a lot) they decided to turn the laughter towards me and start making fun of me they continue to ridicule and laugh at me saying things like ‘oh he’s got an earworm ha ha ha ‘ ‘oh I guess he doesn’t like this song ha ha ha ha giggle giggle giggle ‘ meanwhile while this is going on they have a four customers in line in front of me. While i’m struggling to pick up my items from the conveyor belt they continue to ridicule me saying things like ‘haha there you go leave ‘ it’s the only register open the auto register is for half of the auto towers are not operating so when I try to go to the auto tower the auto cashier and it’s not working I find out that the gentleman bagging was also supposed to be helping us at the auto cashier but instead he’s joking around and making fun of me when I confront them verbally about the employee ridicule it only gets worse - they continue to cajole and ridicule as I am trying to find a place to pay almost dropping my groceries! So then I try to go to another line where I think somebody has a register open and i’m turned away so then I have no choice to get back in line it’s at this point because they are still making fun of me they are still laughing at me trying to carry my groceries without a basket to find a place in line where I can just pay for my groceries they are continueridicule me this whole time I confront them about why they were making fun of me? Is it so funny? Am I so funny trying to carry my groceries around struggling to carry my groceries? Around why is a customer so funny? Why do you have a right to ridicule me? Why aren’t you just doing your job?

I repeatedly requested a manager

They all said there is no manager there

This was when the cashier said ‘i’m not talking to you you’re not talking to me ‘ and I said well ‘ i’m a customer ‘at this point the cashier named marcus plainly said

‘shut the f* up i’m going to bash your skull in’ I said what? He then said

‘let’s take it outside then you will shut up ‘ he then pretended that he didn’t say and tried to continue to help the growing line. A lady who worked there, because everyone refused, the whole time to get store manager, tried to help but she wasn’t there the whole time and the other employees lied about marcus threatening me. You have a person at the register who’s perfectly willing to lie and threaten assault actually murder he said he was going to bash my skull in - that’s murder. And you have a person bagging and not paying attention to the auto cashier who can’t take it seriously when a partially crippled older person like me needs help so he just keeps laughing at me. Your employees have no right to ridicule threaten or publicly humiliate a customer of 35 years to this particular store. Pictures have been taken of both employees. I also strongly suggest you have a manager present ready to open another register as many of your customers are elderly, crippled or even partially handicapped that isn’t always obvious! I will not be threatened! I’m consindering whatever legal action is available to me

Vons My prevention of NEW GENERATION EMPLOYEE CRASHING CART INTO ME

As this be during the time 'VONS' has hired the New Generation of Employees, during the Degraded Economy that we are in. This is intrepreted in what I IDENTIFIED via the Pants Worn & Shirt Worn, ADD the hair-style of the male employee.
An employee I never saw before, here. ?A rookie? Who was not paying attention to The Direction of where he was pushing that shopping cart; as he was rather with a twisted direction/head in how he chose to look around. Doing 2 things at one time. This is much the same trouble as with car-drivers on the public roads, as Vons is not a public road. Hence, was he a licensed car?
As I had to intentionally block him, and wait for his reaction at that. Telling him that a camera is near his location of where he was pushing that cart the entire time, as the camera has been documenting that/of him.
But he did not refuse to admit what he did.
This be all today, as I called it to Vons Customer Service.
After my phone chat to Vons Customer Service: I did further search to store of incident --- as employees claimed there be "No Manager" upon my asking. As I asked for verification if a manager was around or not. As I was told there not be a manager around (To Report Such Issue To). But they did not tell me of what be a supervisor being around; only the neighboring location told me that at such a time that a supervisor is the highest person available. So it seems that Vons stores are now working without managers.
BUT WILL VONS GET BACK? Is a question.

Desired outcome: Vons/Safeway to investigate/admit of what I file.

Vons Rude checker

I shop at the Vons on 515 Washington St in San Diego. Was checking out last night and hit the wrong key when punching in my phone number. I hit the X button and was immediately scolded by the checker that I had hit the wrong key and had basically canceled things out. I felt like a 5 year old being scolded. Totally inappropriate and rude! Horrible customer service I was very embarassed because other customers in line were listening. I shop at this store every week and have never seen this checker before and will never get in her line again. Her name was Maria and I was there on 12/7 @ 18:35

Vons Parking lot

On Friday, November 26 my vehicle was parked in the parking lot and towed without notice. There was no signs in the parking lot, therefore requiring me to call the non emergency line.

Without proper notice, a vehicle should not be towed as it could lead to the belief that it was stolen. Because of the improper lack of signage, I have incurred a 400 dollar charge. Which I would like it to be reimbursed.

Vons Supervisor

The supervisor at Vons in Claremont Ca.91711. Richard is a very prejudice and disrespectful "Supervisor ". I bought a small turkey from there with a markdown for $10:00.I went back tonight to get two more for my mom and daughter.It was clearly written on the price tag $10.00.He rang them up full price so I said they were marked down and showed him the price(I also took a picture of them earlier to show the price to my mom and daughter).At this point "Richard got so rude and disrespectful and told me "No I will not give them to you at this price! I was shocked and embarrassed and he literally rolled his eyes and took them out of my cart as though he thought I was going to "steal" them.He made a call and then said "meat department has no clue what your talking about ".(I went back and spoke to the meat department and the butcher there apologized and said he didn't know who put them out this wasn't his usual store he worked at) .The customer behind me said she was sorry that I got treated like that by Richard.Not only do I have the pictures of the Turkey with the $10.00 price I also have the recording of the conversation and the way Richard spoke to me was absolutely disrespectful and I felt he was prejudiced by the way he treated me.I have lived in Claremont for 40 yrs. and shopped at Vons and never-ever had any problems except with this "Supervisor Richard ".I am a disabled senior and I am so overwhelmed by his actions that I will pursue to let everyone and anyone know the discrimination and the disrespect Richard has shown to me.

Vons Twisted Tea Mold

I literally just bought a 12 pack of twisted teas maybe an hour again and one of them was half empty and full of mold. It was bent and crushed and half empty. There was a whole on the side where the liquid was leaking out of and because of that I assume there was mold inside of the unopened can. There was no damage to the box to indicate that the product was faulty.

Vons Butcher often not available.

I often have to leave the store emptyhanded as the butcher did not show up for work, is at lunch or on a break. The featured sale items are not stocked on the shelves and when he leaves for an extended period around 6 pm there is nobody to help. This relates to the store at 17380 Sunset, Pacific Palisades, Ca. Oftentimes the Friday special when it includes wine is hard to find or sold out. The lines are long around 6pm without opening a new register to remedy the situation.

Desired outcome: Do not hide the sale items. Keep the sheves stocked when you have a featured item. Have a butcher on duty.
