Vons Racial profiling at Vons Tujunga 7798 Foothill blvd Tujunga, Ca 91040

Tuesday July the 13th 2021 my neighbor who is an African American female over the age of 60 was accosted by an employee at Vons and accused of stealing chicken. Imagine being African American and falsely accused of stealing chicken. This happened inside the store and should be visible via surveillance cameras. My neighbor was humiliated, embarrassed, and afraid so she did not put up much of a fight. She denied the allegations against her which also included using food stamps to pay for the stolen chicken. It's alleged that the food stamps card was declined yet this alleged chicken thief walked out the store with the chicken anyway. If it did happen it was not my neighbor who did this! My neighbor does not deserve this type of baseless harassment and humiliation. She is a good woman who was afraid to go back to the store this morning after what transpired. I encouraged her to go and speak to Claude. Apparently the person she spoke to was Raz. She says Raz assured her he would get to the bottom of this. I myself contacted the corporate office through Vons.com as directed by the woman listed as the business owner on Yelp Dawn M. As of now we do not have the name of this perpetrator but I'm working on finding out now. All we know is that it was a female employee. This happened 3 days ago. Check the surveillance videos. I'd like that woman's name in writing. She made false allegations against an innocent woman. I would also like a copy of the video of my neighbor being treated like this if possible. I am demanding justice on behalf of my neighbor even if she won't demand it herself!

Vons Manager Tammy

Filling a complaint with your company is worse than the store problem I had.

You have a store manager named Tammy at 2560 El Camino Real in Carlsbad California who was extremely hateful towards me at the self checkout. She embarrassed me in front of your customers. I have been shopping at the store for 5 years and this is the first time she has treated me this way. Her boss needs to write her up! My email address is [protected]@aol.com. Vons Manager on Duty Frank

Whittwood Vons on LA Forge in whittier. This is my store well run, clean, friendly folks. But on numerous occasions i have had to shop in late evening and can not get bread sliced at bakery. Okay its understandable bakery is closed. But last night I asked the MOD for help to slice nread and was told he will not because that is different union. WHAT? i can not and will not. Plus i dont know how. I said you joking right because I thought he was. No was his response.

Vons Customer Service

Ref store 2175. 78-275 Hwy 111, La Quinta, CA. 92263.

Second time in two weeks I have gone to deli Debt. to purchase BBQ Beans, Sea Food Salad, Tuna, Caesar Salad. Twice they have had No Plastic containers to put the product in. They wanted to give me an unsealable sandwich container which obviously would spill and leak when transporting in a shopping bag, in addition to not being air tight and letting the food spoil rapidly. The overall attitude and professionalism has become Nil in the deli dept, and is getting worse. They are unorganized, slow, uncaring and speak poor English. When asking the Cashier "Isabel" to speak to a manager, she replied, "There are no managers, they are on vacation". I would like to think Someone is in charge of this store, and would hope there will be some attitude adjustment in work ethics and customer service. The 'I don't give a darn' atmosphere in this store and predominantly the Deli, is continuing to degrade and should be addressed by a manager that's not on vacation.

Vons Rudeness of the produce worker

The produce worker named Adrienne was totally rude and offensive. His produce cart was in the way and blocking the vegetable area. When asked to move the cart, Adrienne got upset and said"you don't have to be rude" and "what is it with you" and went on and on with his offensive remarks.

I did mentioned it the manger on duty but I don't know if they did anything about it.

I had the very SAME EXPERIENCE LAST NIGHT ! The assistant manager runs up to me saying I was filming her and proceeded to disrespecting me and trying to kick me out the store, im thinking WTF don't you have security cameras to accuse a person out of no where !?!?!?!?

Vons Rude pharmacy dept... Outrageous pricing

Was treated very rude by two pharmacy individuals... They were trying to over charge me for a perscription that should be approx. Two dollars a pill... They said they were thirty dollars a pill... I put them on the phone with my regular pharmancy and they couldnt believe it... The whole thing was outrageous... And they were beyond rude... Something needs to be done... You couldnt take to these two... What is wrong with this picture... One guy said his name was nick? Date... Wed. 6/16/21 about 3;30

Vons Pharmacy

My licensed physician prescribed the medication 'Ivermectin' to me for COVID prophylaxis. The Vons pharmacy on 2433 Harbor Blvd in Ventura, CA would not fill the prescription because they told me it was not CDC recommended for the indication. They were completely out of line on this one. They have no idea my health issues and circumstances. Their job is to fill prescriptions from licensed health care professionals. I brought them a 27 page article with a huge meta-analysis of the benefits and safety of Ivermectin, which has been on the market for over 40 years. Of course the CDC does not recommend it, they want everyone, healthy or otherwise to get the experimental mRNA vaccines even for people who have had COVID. I was able to get my prescription filled at another local pharmacy.

Vons Service

Employees and managers are not uniformly trained and informed on laws and company policy. Why do you tolerate people that represent your company to represent it so badly? I have been harassed and even accosted by your employees. It is utterly reprehensible.

On multiple occasions now, I have been denied service of essential staple goods because I can not wear a facial covering. A facial covering is a medical device, and you can not force some one to wear one. I have civil suits pending against several of your employees. I will be suing them personally for every occasion of harassment, discrimination, and practicing medicine without a license.

It would be in your best interest to revise your store policy, remove the signs that say REQUIRED, and educate your employees about what is going to happen to them if they continue to act as little police with no authority, policing people under the color of law, which is also illegal.

Vons Cashier

Rudi at VonsYucaipa Blv Yucaipa CA She is such bad asset she never greeted nor talked to me the entire transaction I was a ghost and rough her attitude does not put a good image of Vons I was shook up that not even Hi or come back I had a 20 bottle box of beer and a huge bag of bird seed I had a bad shoulder I am 75 and no help was offered not even from the bagger It was an old man in front of me and she did the same so much for Vons... also the reduced prices most time are not deducted from the total purchase Many many errors and I had gone back to claim if the cashier doesn't run the scanner thru the reg price and the half off stacked it won't take the lesser price... Vons No handicap equipment at Vons in Escondido, Ca Store 2156

Almost a year ago, I informed store manager concerning no electrical carts available. There are 2 very large Senior Mobile home parks across street and we are not able to shop at Vons. He said he would fix it. A month ago, still no working carts. Called complaint line who to store and district manager about problem. Wrong area district manager called me and not his concern. Store manager did not return my calls.Today, manager sent me a e-mail saying one cart was down and other cart is missing a motor, so no carts available. I really do not care about problems with carts, I want one working. he said he was sorry he did not respond sooner. what a terrible manager, taking close to a year to do work order. Then not returning my call for weeks and then sending me a dignostic report on shooter/ carts. He is rude, lies for close to a year and refused to take my calls.
Within this past year, there was a damaged cart that i attempted to use. cart would start then move 6 ft. The stop. I wait about 4 minutes and start for a short distance. The cart stopped in middle of main road to entrance with cars waiting, honking and other customers helping me walk to my car. NO MORE. I am so done. Never worked so hard to shop at a store. manager wins, but Von loses.

Vons Checker Adrian at Vons store 2384 in Palm Springs, CA

Purchased $ 260.00 worth of groceries today and the Card reader would not accept my Visa credit card for some reason. This checker Adrian kept telling me that my limit was reached (the limit on this card is probably more than he makes in a year). Meanwhile he asked another checker and conversed in spanish for over five minutes. I find this rude and disrespectful behavior towards a customer, not to mention that he may well have been talking about me. Eventually management in the form of Ivonne came over, solved the problem (apparently I saved too much money?). Ivonne has always been wonderful but your new hire Adrian is NOT A GOOD HIRE!

Desired outcome: Teach Adrian some respect !

Vons Cashier/Checker

I shop at the Vons location on Telegraph Road in Ventura, CA. Today, my total grocery bill was $444 and some change. I know this, because I always watch to see the Vons card savings appear on the screen. However, for the very first time in my Vons shopping experience, I was not provided with a receipt. When I checked my credit card account online, my grocery bill was $466 and some change. I'm shocked.

Whether intentional or not, someone else's groceries seem to have gotten onto my receipt. I realize I had a large amount of groceries, but I always do and this has never happened before.

I started shopping at 6:00 a.m. and finished around 7:10 a.m. I am unfamiliar with the woman who was my checker.

Vons Michelle at Aero Drive location in San Diego Ca.

My credit card did not work so I asked to waited until the clerk next to the customer service counter finished with the line of customers before asking to use the phone to determine the problem. She said it would be ok . She then had trouble remembering the code to get the outside line. She went away and came back several times - more waiting. She could not figure it out but said she would so I continued to be patient while worrying about the credit card problem that was not anticipated. Finally a manager named Michelle was around so she asked her and Michelle VERY RUDELY told me the policy is only cab calls. No other employee during the 30 minute wait said this. Also, it was a quick call and related to the purchases. I do not think she made the correct decision - she should have at the very least backed up her employee who had already said it was ok and mostly she did not need to be so ugly.

Vons Insulting actions from Maria who is the "manager" of the bakery department!

On or about 4-15-21, I entered the store and heard who would later be identified as "Maria" who is the Manager of The Bakery cussing about management to two of her Hispanic subordinates. She was complaining about being taken into the office for some issue and she called the manager that she was complaining about a "[censored]". I was shocked. The conversation just went on and on and she was so animated that she didn't seem to care that she was at work, in the front of the store and surrounded by a few of us regular customers.

I knew I needed to get proof of this totally unprofessional behavior, so I went directly to the Self Check and got an assistant manager who is Hispanic and has long hair as an identifier. I asked her to step over and she saw Maria at her continued gossip at a loud and rude level. The assistant manager took Maria into a back office as I stood there. Just then, Maria erupted into anger and stormed out of the office saying: "It's not true! I didn't say that!" I told her as she was coming toward me violently that she was lying. She tried to have bodily contact by coming into my personal space which made me step way back to avoid her violent approach of anger. She then turned and almost ran into an elderly woman who was trying to get out of the way with her cart. Maria stormed away saying loud words to herself.

I asked the assistant manager if that was all Maria was going to receive for her horrific behavior. That assistant manager said she would talk to her later. I asked for the store manager immediately and waited until Tanya came out of her office.

I related the information to her which she said her own assistant manager verified. I asked Tanya to run the recorded video to see that what I was reporting was true.

Tanya told me that she and the Director, John Cappel were just transferred from the Albertson store on Pomerado Road for about a month. She told me that there were problems at this Vons that grew under the lax supervision of the former store manager of this Vons. She said that many of the employees there are difficult to deal with and that, "Just between you and me, Maria is one that we've seen as part of this challenge".

She thanked me. I gave her my card and I went on my way. As a customer, I shop there weekly, sometimes twice a week for nearly three hundred dollars plus a week spent at this Vons.

Thinking that this problem wouldn't happen again, I returned to the store a couple of times with no sign of Maria doing her out of control behavior. Then, on 4-26-21 I went in to get some food and Tanya saw me in the self check out. She initiated that she spoke to Maria, and although Maria denied the behavior, Tanya told her that Tanya reviewed the video and had proof of Maria's misbehavior. Then Tanya told me that she told Maria that if I hadn't stepped out of the way avoiding Maria's angry contact that Tanya would be having a "different" conversation with Maria. Tanya told me that she was going to carve off all the rough edges from Maria to make her great.

Perfect.

Then why today did I go into the store to buy several items and as I went through the checkout lane did I have to hear an Asian woman who oversees the self check run over to Maria as she was checking out for her break and laughingly say: "There he is! Tanya calls him..." and then go silent into a whisper into Maria's ear?! Why did I have to hear Maria say out loud and vindictively: "I Know! I know that what she calls him!" This went on for three times until I could finally get my groceries and leave. As I walked out of the doors, I turned around and both women were staring at me. I pointed at them for the camera to see.

Within the hour, I called the store and spoke to Tanya. Tanya denied that she had a "name" for me which they were laughing about. Tanya denied that the women even knew about my earlier complaint until I reminded her that she told me that they were told about me. She said she would take care of it.

It made this very clear to Tanya and I will take this to corporate levels: I should not be treated this way as a customer who pays for their job income. I should not have to deal with the stress of looking for another store to shop at just because the management at this Vons doesn't care to make sure that all of their customers act professionally and courteous to us. I should not have to hear a two-faced, face-saving answer from persons like Tanya after I am still seeing that she allows her employees to get away with mistreating me as a customer. She and John are culpable for these actions.

It is bad enough that we have to be so careful due to covid 19. It is bad enough that we cannot shop like we used to. But I will not tolerate being disrespected by your vons employees! I will not tolerate people like Tanya bad mouthing what it was like working at your sister store Albertson while both vons and Albertson are now under the same brand of ownership! This isn't high school!

Do something. I will not continue to be mistreated here!

Desired outcome: GIVE JOHN AND TANYA DIRECTION ON HOW TO ACTUALLY TAKE CONTROL OF THIS VONS AND ADMINISTER COACHING AND EVEN DISCIPLINE WHERE THE DEFIANT ATTITUDES OF MARIA AND THE ASIAN WOMAN TODAY ARE BEING ALLOWED!

Vons Dirty ad papers all over, selfish dog owners causing allergic reactions

Sometimes the checkers take the entire add coupon papers from customers and leave the contaminated stinky things within a hands reach of you, this causes dust transference, when I get home
The film and stench is all over me and bought items. Btw this is during the time of a pandemic!

Not to mention the selfish dog obsessed idiots that put their prized mutts in shopping carts and let their golden child dander and fur caked mutt children shake hair on the produce and drool on the floor. Nothing is ever done about this problem!

Vons Prescription problems

I went to get my moms controlled prescription last night from vons 5500 Woodruff eve Lakewood. Filled last 2/28/21 and to be picked up on 3/30/21.
The clerk told me that I couldn't get it due to the hold on the prescription while the hold will be up April 5th. I said that's not right.
Well come to find out I picked up the last prescription from that pharmacy for my mom on February 28th. It's a controlled drug so it requires the pharmacist signature then it gets scanned into the computer system. So that the doctor will know when my mom had her last script filled...
Well the clerk did not scan the pharmacist signature into the system until 6 days after Feb 28... He scanned it in the system on March 5th instead.
So when I arrived to pick up my moms medication on March 30 they said I could not pick it up that the doctor had a hold on the script...
Not knowing the truth that they were late scanning the script and the pharmacist signature. My mom takes percocet 3 times a day 6:00 a.M., 2:00 p.M. And 10:00 p.M. She had nothing and I had to have the doctor's office follow up on this as the doctor's office is the one who found out the truth about why the prescription was not filled on time. It was someone who didn't do their job and scan the prescription into the computer system so that the customer could get her medication on time.
When my mom called the doctors' office it was after 8:00 a.M. She got sent to voice mail and it stated that if this is an emergency hang up and call 911, so that's exactly what my mom did called 911. Unnecessarily now because of this pharmacy by not doing their job my 87 year old mother wouldn't of called 911 and when I get the bill I'm taking it to the pharmacy to pay because the pharmacy did not do their job correctly
When the doctor's office finally gave the ok to fill the script my husband went to the pharmacy not me... If it had been me they would've gotten a good piece of my mind. If I do get a bill I'm going to be so furious
I've been a customer from the day that store opened 1984
How would you feel if this was your mom and they screwed her over and didn't even apologize for the mistake they made. They didn't scan the prescription until March 5th into the system.
My moms pills were last filled Feb 28th a 30 days supply would've last until March 30th
Yet the pharmacy said we couldn't get it until April 5th... And it was their error not ours and not the doctors... Only the clerk at the pharmacy and the pharmacist for not following up on the signatures in the system to just follow up on the clerks especially when it's a controlled drug and your elderly parent needs it for pain like mine...
What do I do when this happens?
What they pharmacy could've said was oh we made a mistake and were trying to correct it... But they didn't
The clerk tried to make it sound like it was the doctor's office's fault and that was the reason she wasn't getting her medication on time... He's really a jerk about it.

Vons Downtown Long Beach CA Broadway location cleanliness and safety

On a daily basis several dogs are in the store. Witnesses have seen some dogs poop and urinate IN THE store. There is an unpleasant smell upon entering the store. They are NOT ESA dogs rather pets that shoppers bring with them. It's filthy and disgusting and my friends and I miss shopping there because the location is convenient but cannot tolerate the filth. The security guard hangs out in front and allows anyone to enter and has even let a bike get stolen from the rack in front without saying a word. Something needs to be done for the health and safety of shoppers.

Desired outcome: Please hire better security guards to prohibit dogs fr entering (and bikes from getting stolen out front.).

Vons noise that simi valley location is making

Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Remon Abbas, I am living in Simi Valley California. I have been facing this issue over a year.
I have a condo unit right beside Vons supermarket located in 2938 Tapo Canyon Rd, Simi Valley, CA 93063. so I am facing some real issues here:
1-The loading zone area is really far away from my house but most of the trucks are parking in the red zone after they finished loading/delivering and that red zone is 12 feet away from my bedrooms, my living room and they always take a break here or sometimes they parked here in the red zone and they delivery from the Vons front door. Plus some tracks are always coming over night to clean the shopping center.(I have tons of videos and the pictures with date and time)
I totally understand that they serve our community but if they stay in the right place and came in the regular hours not overnight or early morning my life will get back to normal.
Note: Most of the time they leave the motor engine running.
This is literally 24/7 morning, evening and sometimes overnight.
2-After the pandemic they changed the entrance for the store to be the one nearest to my house and they hired one to be responsible to return all the shopping carts to that entrance near to my house every 5 mins to clean it (literally it's 25 steps from my bedroom window). I totally understand how important it is during Covid but there is another entrance that is way far from the residential area so they can make it as a main entrance (like before pandemic) and they can return all shopping cards and clean it without making our lives so noisy like that.
( I have videos from inside my house with closing windows and still you can hear that)
3-Also Vons made the online pickup from the entrance near the residential area so all the shopping cards came from inside the store to deliver.
so literally after the pandemic they change their shopping center traffic to be nearest to our community. ( I have videos from inside my house with closing windows and still you can hear that)
4- They use the shopping cards to dump their trash but they are not using the door from inside the store they come all the way out to the front door and cross all the way by my house to go back to dump the trash. ( I have videos from inside my house with closing windows and still you can hear that)
I talked with Vons Location Manager, Vons District Manager and the Shopping Center Property Manager over a year but it seems no one cared enough to fix the issue. (I have all the texts and the emails between them and I)

My wife has an autoimmune system disease Called AS that is causing blood inflammation so she is taking medication for that and also a painkiller but she has to get enough sleep and rest. Unfortunately it is hard to relax in this house. trucks here 24/7 no day is off no hour is off always here if they park in the right loading/ delivering area so it will be no issue at all plus all the shopping cards issues.
Also I have twin girls who are 4 years old sometimes they walk up at night scared from the noise. We are outdoor people but now with this noise we don't like to go out to our backyard, we can NOT open a window to get some fresh air. Just to know we here all these noise even while we are closing our windows.(I have videos for that too)
I have more than 100 files between Pictures and Videos, If any one see them will have a better understanding about what we are facing here.
In my opinion someone is not doing his job here, Can you please help me with that?

I am willing to meet anyone to show him/her all the videos and the pictures I have.

Vons Smart water 9+ph

I just got home after shopping at the Vons on Colorado St. in Pasadena, CA. I purchased two bottles of Smartwater alkaline 9+ph. I sat down and opened a bottle. I thought it weird that the top was already broken. It opened easy. At once I realized it didn't taste the same. I am an amateur chemist so I have litmus and things. I checked its PH. Wasn't close to 9.0.
I think someone refilled the bottles with water from somewhere else. Not sure where but I have the bottle with the water and I am going to get it professionally analyzed.
I shop at Vons because I trusted' them. Now I'm not so sure. Everything in America has changed. I am embarrassed to be a part of this greedy country.

Vons Bathroom public health issue

Vons Bishop, CA. 93514 recently added hand dryer blowers and removed the paper towel dispensers from the bathrooms.
Every customer and employee are fearful that the blowers blow around COVID and there are no paper towels to open the door to the restroom.
I will report this to the public health department if not remedied immediately.
Thank you for your prompt attention.
