My husband & I were vacationing at Dreams Royal Beach in Punta Cana when we attended the sales pitch for the Hyatt U.V.C. We were told that our 28 free days would be upgraded to no black out days. This was a lie. The only reason we signed up was because we thought that for the money it would cost overall, the free days almost paid for the entire membership so we were good with that. We both work in schools so the only time we can travel is during those apparent blackout days. The idea that you have 5 days to cancel is absurd. We were still on vacation 5 days after we signed the contract. Within the month though, we called to schedule our next vacation using our free days. Lo and behold we were lied to. The free days cannot be used any time. So they are useless to us as is the entire membership. We asked to cancel. It has been months & we call to cancel & are told we need to speak to a supervisor but a supervisor has never returned our call. We are disgusted. We want out & would still like to vacation at Hyatt resorts but this has left such a bad taste in our mouths. We have 0 of our membership benefits and it would have been so easy for them to just allow us to cancel and walk away. That’s what confirms they are dishonest thieves. A legitimate business would never torture you to keep their product. Especially since we tried to cancel within a very reasonable time period.
Desired outcome: We want out of our contract.
