Unlimited Vacation Club Sales and service

I am a goldplus member. Was promised a Premier Week and the bonus week together could be a week at any club. Instead when I booked it, it is only six days and you pay full price for the seventh and get the lowest level room both of which were not expressed at the time of the contract.

Then there are the RCI points. I tried to make the points available. I don't remember the sales man saying each time they release the points it cost $300, but nevertheless, I asked for the points that were soon to expire to be released and paid the fee. Instead they release points that were to expire a year later and I had to pay $150 to combine them for the trade. I called 4x and was promised a call back and that it would be resolved 3 different times. No call back ever came. I asked to speak to a supervisor, not available. Finally as the deadline for holding the property came I gave up and paid to combine the other points. RCI also promised to help but never did.

Claimed loss: $150 for combining points when they released the wrong points and the cost for the seventh day at Secrets Akumal which I think was around $300, the 40 points that will expire because they released the wrong points.

Desired outcome: $450 with an apology for all the time on the phone with UVC and RCI I spent and the unreturned calls that were promised from UVC.

Not resolved. I did get one call that apologized and admitted it was wrong and said they were working on it. I did not reply on to the complaint board because UVC said they were working on it and would call us back. Like before, no call back. The man who called to say they were working on it even used the phrase 2 for 1 after admitting it was 6/7ths. I went back and looked at the charge. It was over $600. Victor at UVC said they would get back to me within a week. That week has passed. A later apology call by Hector said it would be within 48 hours. That too has passed.

We attended a presentation a Secrets Moxche' during our honeymoon in Cancun. The resort was amazing, we had lots of champagne, we were in a wonderful mood, and we were misled. While sitting there, I tried to google the program, but I did not get any internet service. We thought we were getting a vacation plan, and did not realize we were purchasing a...

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation voucher to return to secrets with/vip package - not as sold

We were sold a vacation package to return to the resort that we were staying at which was Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana as a last option in their sales pitch. They promised us that we could return if we purchased the voucher and it would allow us to have the upgraded amenities also known as the Preferred Club Access. After we paid the $500 deposit and $700 payment totaling $1,299 we thought we'd be all set to book it. Well we then find out that there are block out dates for the dates we wanted to return which was in the first week of January the same time we were there originally but could not book those dates when we called to make our reservation. And on top of it, we were told that Secrets was not an option. So we were sold one thing based on what we were told but then they tell us that we can't do what we were sold. This is extremely frustrating and we would like to discuss how we can resolve this issue to get what we were sold and promised.

Claimed loss: $1,299

Desired outcome: We would like to get what we were sold which was to stay at the Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana Resort w/Preferred Club Access in January which were the same dates they promised us as our previous stay. That's the only reason we bought it!

Unlimited Vacation Club Membership with unlimited vacation club

I visited a Secrets Resort (Unlimited Vacation Club) in March 2022. I heard a presentation to become a member. I had an existing timeshare with another company. I purchased a gold membership with a contract that stated my timeshare would be accepted in exchange for a financial credit. I would not have purchased the membership had that clause not been included. I was referred to a company in Mexico named Vacations Center( May 2022) I was given instructions how to process the exchange for my previous timeshare. I paid a fee of $2200. Despite following the instructions exactly, I was told 3 times that the paperwork was incorrect. It costs over $300 of fees to repeatedly send the paperwork to Vacations Center. I was told that if I did not complete the paperwork correctly in a specified period of time, I would not be allowed to exchange my timeshare. Eventually, I was told that the paperwork was in order.I was required to have my maintenance fees paid for 90 days beyond the closing date of the paperwork. My fees were paid 13 months in advance.

In February of 2024, I received an email from Vacations Center again. I was told that I am required to pay maintenance fees for my PREVIOUS timeshare through the year 2024 (2 years from the when the transaction was completed).

I emailed that I am no longer the owner of the previous timeshare and I would not be paying the fees. I was informed that the exchange of my timeshare was not competed yet. I was also informed that I am still the owner of record on the previous timeshare. The bill for the maintenance fees would be coming to me.

I purchased the Unlimited Vacations Club membership expecting that the contract would be honored. I have been informed that I may be the owner of TWO memberships now

Desired outcome: I would like Unlimited Vacation Club to honor the details of our original agreement to accept my timeshare as part of the transaction for my membership. If they will not do so, I would like my contract voided and my full payment refunded.

Unlimited Vacation Club Membership services

Unlimited Vacation Club is a complete fraud. Our experiences with them on our trip (February 2023 at secrets Moxche) promised a guaranteed locked in price, value like you could not believe. Even our cruise credits that we got from the package through U lifestyle wasn't as they had proposed it would be. They gave us 1500$ for the first two years towards cruises which was stated that they could be cashed out for a single cruise. This was a complete lie, U lifestyle told me we could only use 400$ of the 1500$ for the cruise leaving it at a whopping 3100$ left to pay out of pocket (dollars in American and not including flights). The pricing is literally no better than going to a travel agent.

Extremely unsatisfied and if a suit comes out of this I would gladly go into it. 14000$ into it and just found out its complete BS.

Yours truly, yet another unsatisfied customer.

Justin Winter.

PS I'd love my money back.

Desired outcome: Please refund.

This definitely has not been resolved. They have been calling me twice a day while I’ve been on nightshift after I’ve asked them to only email me. And they are now stating for me to cancel this product (something I haven’t used) I will need to pay up to 50% of the total cost of the membership.

Unlimited Vacation Club Deceitful sales tactics

The presentation was a very slick act which made promises that do not pan out in the end. The salesman said that we would only have to pay the "member fee" for food/beverage which was between $190-$270 per night. When reviewing the contract we saw that it stated we would only get a 25% discount on rooms, but he said do not worry about that, you will get amazing rates. So although we were very skeptical they eventually convinced us to go through with it and we did. Now that we try to book a vacation we see the rates are really just a 25% discount of full price, and typically non members of UVC can already get discounts so in the end it is not much if any savings at all. You can search Unlimited Vacation Club on the internet and see the millions of complaints

about deceitful sales tactics. We have emailed the company with no response.

Claimed loss: $11,760 so far, with monthly payments starting in March.

Desired outcome: Full Refund and Cancel Membership.

Another reply just so this doesn't get automatically closed. We have hired an attorney is is working on this for us.

Update by JimBoCA
Feb 28, 2024 4:57 pm UTC

I'll continue to reply so this complaint does not get closed. The company "mediator" contacted me by phone, made more promises about great rates we should get, like rooms for $50, and of course I investigated and it is not true. I asked him to please respond with what he told me verbally in writing, and his response was very rude and condescending. Then he said I can cancel my contract and pay 50% of the total price. I want a full refund due to the constant lies they tell their clients. I am seeking advice from an attorney.

Update by JimBoCA
Feb 22, 2024 6:34 pm UTC

I am just replying again to keep you from closing this as resolved.

I've been in contact with the company mediator on the phone who once again made many promises on the phone about room prices which do not match what I see on their website. I explained this to him with the details in an email and he wants to explain on the phone. I said I want it in writing in an email, that was 7 days ago and he has not responded. This company flat out lies. He also sent me a new "bonus" stay in a preferred room, but if I sign this I am saying I am satisfied with what the mediator told me. I am far from satisfied and this is an obvious ploy to try and make me stop complaining and exposing them. I will not stop, I will hire lawyers if my credit card company will not help me.

I also find it sad that almost every complaint about this company on this site show as "Resolved" when in fact they are not resolved, they just received no more responses. This gives the illusion that the company works to resolve the problems, when in fact I have not found one complaint where the customer was happy.

Update by JimBoCA
Feb 07, 2024 6:16 pm UTC

I promptly emailed as requested and received a prompt response saying the request was escalated and I've yet to hear back.

Unlimited Vacation Club Membership sales

We upgraded our UVC at secrets Moxche about a year ago. The young woman who was the manager of sales sold us with the Hyatt acquisition and now was part of UVC. We were told more than once with certainty that our 300,000 Hyatt points earned would be Hyatt base points to earn lifetime globalist membership. Come to find out that is a complete lie, false and con. That is a very large part in our decision to spend money and upgrade.

If anyone knows this woman’s name I would like to have it. I believe it was Natalia. She works as the UVC sales manager at Secrets Moxche. Long hair and in her late 20’s. If so please reply. I am certain she has lied to others.

It has been about 3 month and I have received an email from a Mauricio Emmanuel Gomez Flores 3 weeks ago asking to make an appointment to talk. We set that up. The date and time came. I emailed him to see if this call was going to happen and I have never heard anything back. Pretty weird and pathetic way to handle any situation. Nothing has been resolved and nothing has been done at all. This has been a waste of time

Unlimited Vacation Club Refund of voucher/coupon

On 11/8/2023 I was offered a coupon for an excursion at a reduced cost for renting a car with America Car rental. I agreed to purchasing the coupon but only received a voucher that stated that I must attend a 90 minute time share presentation in order to receive my coupon. I was not able to attend the presentation they told me do not worry it was refundable and that I needed to email the address on the paper to get my refund. I have emailed them numerous times and never gotten a response. When I call the number it is disconnected. When I call Unlimited Vacation Club directly they state they don't know what the voucher is, who has my money or how to be refunded.

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation club membership

Total scam and waste of money. Stay away from this membership and Dreams hotels chain completely. There is no benefit from this membership but a loss. when you price with hotel+air ticket (dont price only the hotel stay separately, always add the air ticket together) , any other travel site beat or match UVC for no upfront cost. Free nights and membership benefits doesnt exist and so many conditions to get so much less. Once you sign up, you cant get out without paying minimum of 50% of contract value. Pressure sales tactics and bogus promises to cheat money out of unsuspecting customers who are in good mood.

Claimed loss: CAD10000

Unlimited Vacation Club No benefits

We purchased in April 2023 Punta Cana. We have been paying but have not seen the benefits that where promised. Every time we try to book a trip their is barrier. When you call on the phone it is hard to understand the staff. We definitely got taken advantage of. So yesterday we get a call from U lifestyle their affiliate for cruises and resorts. The representative wanted us to renew with them for another package. It sounded good he is guiding us through the website. The cruises and resorts and week we get from other travelers. Promised us crus credits, travel credits ect. By the end of the presentation he was asking for 3,499 dollars for a preferred status. So wait a minute I cant get the things that were promised from vacations unlimited where I pay 301 a month. You think we are naïve enough to be taken a second time ! Wow the nerve ! Has anyone actu8ally had a positive experience with this company and gone on vacations ? We have talked to an attorney for guidance which is more money. But this company needs to be stopped they are taking peoples hard earned money ! By the time we finish paying it will be 10,000.

Unlimited Vacation Club Honoring first visit incentives and a signed contract

On Feb 23, 2023 we purchased a Pearl Package at Dreams resort in Huatulco, MX. We were given first visit incentives for 2 premier weeks that were IMMEDIATELY ACCESSIBLE upon signing the contract. We were also given 4 RCI bonus weeks for $299 valid for 2 years. We paid a down payment of $3,875.00USD of the contract and have paid monthly amounts ever since. We were clearly told that we had 2 weeks of premier nights available to us IMMEDIATELY upon signing as an incentive gift to sign there and then (I have this in writing).

7 months later I went to book/use 7 of our premier nights and am told that we have to pay out the remainder of our contract $6500+ if I want to access the 14 premier nights.

I understand how the regular premier nights work on a regular basis. However, these 14 premier nights were given to us to use immediately as stated in our contract. I want UVC to honor their contract and what was promised upon signing. Please see my contract attached.

Desired outcome: I would like a response to my request and to have access to 7 premier nights immediately, as was stated in my contract (provided).

Unlimited Vacation Club Cancel membership and be reimbursed

We got duped at Dreams Cozumel. I don’t know how much money we have spent in total, but I have yet gotten and “free” anything. We made a huge downpayment, and spend $400 per month for this membership. We also spent $4000 + on Unlimited Lifestyle, and another $2000 + for RCI crap. We have been promised everything from free resort weeks, free cruises, free airfare, free car rentals, etc. However, when trying to use any of these things we were not allowed because of the time of the year, or we have to pay fees as our free week is only the “base” amount, and the fees end up costing as much as if I booked not using my “free” week. The rates continue to go up for no reason. I am out over $10,000, and have got nothing for it. And now the free weeks I was guaranteed are not available till I pay in full, or upgrade to the next level which costs more money. I am so beyond done. I want to sue the rntire corporation and every individual that works there plus all the resorts.

Claimed loss: $10,000

Unlimited Vacation Club False perks

My Fiance and I purchased our UVC member at Dreams Macao, DR in January 2023, however I feel like we were scammed. Andre from Dream Macao told us we would be given preferred status with each of our stays. We purchased the membership because we will be getting married in DR and want to be able to provide the best prices, room upgrades and experiences as possible. We were also given $200 worth in vouchers to use at the spa, I got a great Sea & C facial, but coincidently was not able to use our vouchers.

In all honesty I feel like I will have a hard time using these "perks" when it comes time to actually book. Anyway, fast forward to Sept 2023 we stayed at Dreams Flora, we weren't given "preferred status" as promised with our UVC purchase, and we were given the worst room, ground floor and starring at a wall. Again we were given discount vouchers to the spa, I had a basic tension massage and once again coincidently couldn't use them again.

We are planning to attend another UVC location in Cancun and am hoping I will actually have the "perks" that were promised.

Its unfortunate to feel like "just another guest" when you pay towards a travel membership.

Desired outcome: Hoping to get a preferred room at next stay which is being planned for December 2023.

Unlimited Vacation Club Secrets Sint Maarten

I have been a member of Unlimited Vacation Club for several years and have hosted and traveled to several countrys. We went with 3 other couples to Cobo and were treated very well. We have been to 2 other resorts and felt treated very well. We brought another couple to this resort in Sint Maarten and had our trip crushed. From check in to check out I could begin to tell you that this is not a Secrets. Most of the resturants were not open, the food left much to be desired - when you had a problem with door locks ect. I took a miracle to get something fixed. It was not a pleasant experiance that we had at other Secrets - no app for anything and they were mostly rude. Sorry for the bad review but this vacation was a bust. I am not happy.

Desired outcome: A new destination for both us and the party we paid for - MD1-000769

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation package

We were scammed into this time share in disguise soon after arriving at the airport in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, we did not do our due diligence and read the reviews but instead got tricked into purchasing one of their expensive timeshare/vacation packages by their high pressure salesmen who deceptively said we could cancel anytime but neglected to mention the cancellation fee of 50% of contract. Nevertheless, after signing up for this program with $2700 down payment and paying monthly $250 monthly for 4 months, my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor, hospitalized and suffered a cardiac arrest which resulted in severe brain damage, and leaving here currently in a vegetative state on a ventilator. Contacted this company about cancelling and the heartless supposedly Quality Assurance rep Deyana Peraza pretty much disregarded my tragic and devastating circumstances, and still demanded payment of cancellation fee. She was extremely rude, disrespectful, uncaring, unapologetic, and was concerned about nothing other than collecting the cancellation fee and even threatened me with company lawyers if I write a negative review. I advised them them I'm not paying because I can't afford it, 1st of all, and I would not give this coldhearted scam of a company one more cent of my money after the extreme rudness experienced from Deyana especially.

Desired outcome: Cancel my membership

Unlimited Vacation Club Club membership

During my visit last August to Secrets Riveria Maya, I was coerced into signing a 5-year contract for a vacation club under the influence. I had my daughter with me. who is a minor and the fast-talking salespeople promised me a deluxe suite and other massive discounts that would pay for itself within the five years. They charged me $900 and $176 per month afterwards. I am a single parent and suffer from medical impairments. I can't continue paying the membership, I tried talking to the company without success. I can't use the membership and the fees are piling up. I have not made any payments this month and won't be able to. I need to speak to someone to end this nightmare. I have four years left on this membership and I hope that we can terminate the contract because I am not in a financial position to pay for false promises. Please help!

Desired outcome: Terminate the remaining 4 years of the contract.

Customer Service:

We are extremely disappointed. Our recent visit to Dreams Las Mareas was not what one would expect of a membership.

We were neither offered, nor received, any special treatment. As a matter of fact, it was cheaper for us to sign in with the wedding package of our niece, than to sign in as members. What is the purpose of membership? When we arrived, the staff did not know where to put us; we spent more than one half hour checking in – Motel Six is more efficient.

We could not dine at the Japanese restaurant. For the Italian restaurant we were informed that it was required of us to purchase a bottle of wine for a reservation (no one actually knew anything about these reservations). We had to wait more than half an hour to buy the wine bottle.

We recommended to our niece to buy Britt coffee – she waited more than one month to receive her shipment.

For the wedding, the wedding planner you assigned was a total disgrace. Very insufficient knowledge and service.

In summary, we again ask, What is the purpose of membership if one receives no special considerations?

Desired outcome: Improved attention and service

Unlimited Vacation Club White pearl package

In March 2022 while vacationing at breathless, I was approached to join a sales conference where alcohol and other gifts were provided while listening to the sales pitch. I was the sold on this so called advantageous program that would afford me in essence so little.

The cost was 9200 USD and I made a down payment 2300 and then was being charged about 250$ per month at 9percent interest rate.

I called to cancel considering I never used it because ultimately it affords very little value. However, to cancel I would need to pay 4600 us dollars dollars, half of the total amoubt, despite not having used it ever. Or I could transfer it (no one wants it) or they will lower my interest rate, stop the payment till January and offer me a couple nights free.

I would instead like to have at least half my money back

Desired outcome: I would like to have half of the money back that I paid so far roughly 4400. Therefore 2200.
