On 8 April and 26 April 2020 there was a perfume special online and I ordered the perfumes at greatly discounted prices. My balance was then decreased with the amount. Once lockdown ended I see both my orders were simply rejected and the money refunded. No explanation whatsoever. On 5 May (2 months ago) I sent them an email and asked to provide reasons as to why my purchases were rejected. I mentioned that they were advertised for a certain amount and I ordered and purchased the products. No reply whatsoever. On 17 June I sent them another email about this, but also no reply. My feeling is that they want to avoid answering me. If they were forthcoming they would have already provided me with an answer.
I am a good customer of Truworths and pay my account in time every month. I'd like to know why my purchases were rejected. The perfumes were marked down a lot, but I assumed they were either reaching their sell by date/time period or due to Covid19. If they made a mistake, that is unfortunately not my problem as a consumer.

I am writing to express my disappointment in the way you do business. Whilst I understand that times are tough & other businesses need all the help they can get, I cannot contend with abuse & ill-treatment.
Today, I received a very abusive call from a lady who claimed to be Truworths' debt collector. Quite gob-smacking because as far as I am concerned, Truworths has permission to debit my bank account on a monthly basis.
Please note that it is unorthodox to harass, bully & abuse customers. If there's an issue, I do not need anyone to shout, swear at me no matter what! I am a willing payer & I believe in fair trade. I also understand that there might be system glitches on both sides, these issues are part & parcel & should be resolved amicably.
The lady had no intention of resolving the issue. It was quite obvious that the call was about recording that there was some activity from her side & that the customer was unwilling to engage so that she can bill.
Many times, we begged that she either transfers the call to Truworths so we can resolve/ find a way to resolve this. This is so disappointing for Truworths to behave this way.
I presume she plans to keep up this behavior some more so she can earn money. I want you to know that this is abuse & unacceptable.
Rather than trying to unfairly enrich your associates at my expense & my family peace's expense. Would you rather try & resolve the issue, if any, on the debit order with myself.

Bad customer service
I went to the shop and found an item on the shelves that was on sale, when I when to pay for it at the tills I was told that it will only be on sale the next day. I logged my complaint at the head office, I had to follow up (friday) with the on the progress and was told by an agent that my complaint has been resolved and that I will be informed on monday. How do they resolve my complaint without engaging with me?
Unallocated payment - since it was paid on the 04/05/2020
Payment of r4.400 was made on the 04/05/2020 and its still not allocated, i have been handed over to blake and associates and been in contact with chealisa gengan and got absolutly no joy.
Its taken a million and 1 calls and tons of emails to this date an nothing. I have even tried the truworth call centre and empty promises of a supervisor calling me back.
I need this to resolved immediatley as i am in the process of buying a house and i gpt declined yesterday because of the unalloacted payment.

Received what I believe is a scam statement
I am communicating with Truworths via Facebook, and seem to have got nowhere. I received a Truworths Statement for goods I did not purchase. They have been asking for an ID number, which I do not have, and besides, when ordering anything online, I pay for it immediately. They cannot seem to give me any details of my so-called purchase for £82.23 - and keep asking for an ID No.
For interest, I tried to register with them today to see if I could gain any further information, and could not complete the registration form as they asked for a SA phone number, which I do not have as I don't live there.
Has anyone else had problems with this company. Is it a scam?

Payment allocation
Hi there I made payment on the 5 of May 2020 I have sent proof of payment to two different people in accounts department in May Lesley mashaba and nN Mtintelwa till today they cannot allocate the payment they call in every second day now they handed over me to say my account is in arrears. I find them very unprofessional because is now a month and 2 weeks after payment was done am wondering how long does it take tfor a payment to reflect. They just bunch of uneducated dont know their work. but am going to sue them to damage my credit. The branch is in cape town south Africa

I have been at home since the Covid19 outbreak. I work in the Tourism sector therefore, unable to earn a living. Our company has applied for UIF, but awaiting payments still.
I am quite appalled as I did let Truworths know, two months ago, and asked them to note this on the system. The young lady also told me that I must disregard the sms's that I receive as it is generated via a system.
Now I get an sms to say that my account has been handed over to MBD. Really in this trying time, after I did notify you. How can they do that. I am done with Truworths, I have always been loyal as well as my payments never been in arrears.

Harassment of the highest order!!!
We are currently on AL3 due to Covid19. Despite paying small amounts every 2 weeks I get phone calls more than once a day asking me for a payment arrangement. Can they not see that I am paying! Clearly that is not good enough. Closing this account and taking my business elsewhere!
Please be courteous enough to everyone during this time and offer some relief by noting my willingness to pay and enough with the phonecalls and SMS. Change your system if it doesnt tell you whether I was contacted because we all have a lot to deal with right now and dont need this. Have you forgotten that when my account was in Credit you offered to increase my facility but now you want to harass me for R900. PLEASE STOP IT!

I wish to draw to your attention and request a speedy way of resolving this matter amicably after I raised it with your employees telephonically regarding the balance of my clothings account. On the 25th april 2020, I placed an online order (order o86285643 as captured/[protected]) on various garments when we were still under schedule five of the disaster management act covid-19, the same items I purchased online, was meant for people that were at my place in gauteng province then. My expectation was that the same order would take atleast four to five days for it to be delivered. It was instead delivered on the 25th of may 2020, one month after having done the order of which by then, the same people I purchased such items for had already left for another province and I had bought them the voucher cards in order to purchase items of their choice in their province
Take note also that on those five items I purchased, I was somehow advised per email that one of them a regular jean size 28 worth r625 was cancelled due to its unavailability.
Then when such items were received on my behalf by my spouse as per an arrangement, I made some time to do an account return on them on (14:33:40) friday the 29th may 2020 at my nearby branch store in springs avenues.
On my expected monthly instalment of r270.00, I decided to pay an amount of r400.00 prior to the transaction of r1450.00 I made at the golden walk complex in germiston.
My main argument is that it was improper for me to be billed on items that I had never received, and when they were delivered a month later, I returned them. So I cannot pay for items that I returned.
Please kindly do a thorough investigation and have this matter quickly resolved by crediting my account so as to reflect the proper balance on my account.

Online payments
Since covid-19 I have been paying my accounts online for obvious reasons. Truworths keeps calling me every single day from different numbers saying I have to pay my account. I did explain to the first person that it was paid online and that I will close the account beginning of june specifically due their harrasment! I did pay the full outstanding amount (which is not a lot r600) and they still call me and send sms's saying I need to pay immediatlely several times a dag! I cannot handle this harrasment! Clearly these people do not communicate to each other and keep bugging everyone.
This is the worst place to have an account with. I am done
Terrible online shopping experience
I placed on order for online shopping on the 5th of may, it stated on their website that it would take 2 - 5 days for delivery. I received an sms on the 19th of may advising that they had a backlog. Then on the 22nd of may I received another sms telling me that 3 items were no longer available. These were all the items I ordered for my son who is sitting with no winter clothes. I would never have placed an order with them if I had've known I would not be able to get any of the items ordered for my son. I would have ordered from another retailer that was able to actually deliver my order. Will never shop here again! Horrible experience and terrible service!
Service received
I am unhappy with the service received from Truworths lately. On the 27 of April 2014 I made a payment of R1460 towards my account I think the payment could not be allocated because I used T Mlambo as my reference. I phoned Truworths several time to ensure this is rectified and the payment is allocated accordingly, I was told to email my proof of payment to [protected]@truworths of which I did, I was also asked to email my bank statement showing the transaction of the payment made to Truworths I did but the payment is still not allocated up to date. I have recently received a new statement for the month of May and reflecting R1460 in errors because the payment made is not allocated. I have been a loyal customer to Truworths and I understand the backlog caused by the lock down, but when a client picks up a phone that query needs to be attended as a matter of urgency. Can someone please get this resolved as I am doing all my best to keep track of my payments and ensuring the account is up to date
Online delivery
I recently had an online order of mine cancelled by truworths, I was told by the truworths customer service that they tried calling me to verify my order. An sms was sent notifying me of the cancellation. However nobody called me and I was referred to the fraud department. Not happy with this service. I understand that it is difficult to work in these conditions but lying about attempting to contact is unacceptable to me. No email follow up either. I am extremely disappointed in their service.
Accounts service
Due to this pandemic, as a customer I was frustrated as the truworths stores were closed and knowing that I have an account that has to be paid made an effort to pay my account on line. I used my name as reference number instead of the id number or account number as the store requires. After realizing my account is not updated when I received a reminder for payment, I contacted truworths and was given an email to forward proof of payment - which I did. On the 11th was called again and I forwarded the info. And they are calling everytime and this is really not good. Please let the team consolidate their info after receiving it. Harassment from truworths!!!
Due to the covid19 virus having dismantled our economy, our company has been forced to close down for the lockdown period and will only be able to operate in level2 resulting in loss of salaries. I tried calling truworths to make payment arrangements but no one answers the phone! Other companies have granted their clients payment holidays! Why can't truworths do the same? It is a shame & a disgrace! Bloodsuckers! That's what truworths is!
Poor service with online operator received
On the 6th of May 2020 at 12h25 I phoned Truworths customer care to place 4 orders. The operator that handled my enquiry lacked the desired level of professionalism and competence in handling my call humming on the phone, procrastinating, making me hold on unnecessarily as she was logging on, not assisting me effectively then after 8 minutes on the phone and asking me to keep repeating my first order she transfers me to online shopping. Truworths please train your operators to deal with business in a fair, reasonable manner! It gives Truworths an extremely poor image. Are you running a circus or a business? Listen to the quality of this call recorded as you state your calls are recorded. And decide if this is the poor standard of service your Brand stands for.
Privacy
Furious never felt like this after telling truworths i will pay them end of june 2020 because im on unpaid maternity leave and making payment arrangements, they took all my private staff and send it to someone else on someone cellphone imagine my private info so much for privacy i now hate truworths store they ruined my day, i will pay you but will close my acc i cant take such embarrassment!
being harassed daily
We are on lockdown and were informed creditors should not harass debtors but Truworths only has money on there mind not well being of customers. We get messages, emails calls daily and not ones a day requesting payment even if payment was done last month. Is Truworths going broke? Arent they breaking the law harassing people especially over lock down. U cant call anyone at Truworths as they all sitting at home so what do they want?

I understand that this has been a terrible year for business.
February varsities had shutdowns, March to April had shut downs which affected payments processes from my side as an entrepreneur and student.
Truworths harass their customers with texts and calls and they are aware of the situation the country is facing. Instead of giving customers an extension to make payments you send 3 to for texts a day, i believe text is enough for the week followed by a phone call to hear when the customer will make their payment and write notes on their system.
I would like the settle the matter with Truworths monthend of April and close their account !
When I call their customer care line 'they can't take calls' I find this very unappropiate.
Fitting clothes
Good day i went to truworths sasolburg on the 19 march 2020 to purchase a few clothing items. Once i have decided what i liked i went to the fitting rooms only to be told that i was not allowed to try the white item (top) on. The other items were light grey and pink but thats not a problem to fit. I feel this is the first i have heard this and i am a loyal customer to truworths. No boards were in the store stating you cant fit white items. I am not happy with this neither the service i received. I left all items in the store and walked out. Thank you Cindy
