Rude Employees
Tractor Supply Newton NJ #2435. Stopped into the store on Saturday, May 15th for a bag of dogfood. Being fully vaccinated against Covid, following CDC guidelines and having been in other stores that do not require masks, despite Governor Murphy's edict, I entered the store not wearing a mask, with my son who was wearing one. I was immediately shouted at by Bessie at the register that I had to wear a mask. I said I was vaccinated. At least 2 other employees also started shouting at me that I had to wear a mask. By shouting I mean screaming at me all at the same time. Very unprofessional considering Bessie was training someone. I could see their paranoia so I pulled a mask from my pocket and held it up for them to see. I put the mask on and stated " I am fully vaccinated though". As my son and I proceeded to the back I heard one of the male employees say, "Yeah, right we are all vaccinated" which implied to me that I was lying. I grabbed the dogfood and went to Bessie's register. I paid and when she asked if there was anything else I told her I did not appreciate the other worker's snide comment implying I was lying about being vaccinated. I then showed her the pic of my card that I keep on my phone. She apologized and said it is still company policy to wear a mask. Until they adjust their rules for vaccinated people I will be shopping for the things I need where masks are not required.
Desired outcome: None.
Poor customer service, overcharged for clearly marked discount item
I was a customer at the windham tractor supply 476 Boston post rd in north windham Connecticut on Saturday May 8th around 6p.m. I had called ahead to ask for 5 fifty pound bags on barn lime but as I arrived and noticed a line I decided to shop around a bit and when I brought my purchases to the register I told the woman working (Rayann) that I had 5 bags of lime waiting for me, she wasn't sure at first but contacted her fellow staff members and a man (Joshua) at the center counter towards the back of the store said "they are here". I asked the Rayann to scan them for me and we walked back to them and scanned one bag and went back to the register. I used my family's tractor supply rewards card as my family has been a loyal supporter, even shopping at stores in different states and always being happy with our purchases, and I proceeded to pay with my debit card. After completing the transaction I used my shopping cart to retrieve the bags of lime from where they lay at the middle of the store and that's when I saw the sticker showing a bag to be "reduced price" and showing a yellow sticker clearly marked $2. I then looked at my receipt to see if the price was shown discounted for one of the bags of lime and quickly saw it was not. It was then I asked the woman standing in the center counter area that was previously occupied by Joshua if I could get a refund for the price difference. I felt her attitude immediately about what I realize is a small amount of money and a trivial complaint but I was unprepared for her responses. She stated I could get 5 fresh bags of lime. I told her I was ok with the ripped bag I just wanted to be charged the correct price. She continued to offer replacement bags which I declined. She perhaps didn't understand the fact that when I called they clearly told me they had 8 bags total and would set aside 5 for me so a total replacement of the 5 bags would have been impossible at the current time. Alissa continued to have sarcastic and bad mannered retorts to my trying to explain the situation. I was repeatedly told I was incorrect that those bags were specifically put aside for me after I called and that "that was where the lime lived" (although I was put on hold for long enough when I called to assume that the person who answered (Joshua) was going to check your inventory and set them aside for me). Alissa told me she was the manager when I asked for them to join our conversation but Rayann told me as I was leaving that Joshua was the manager so I'm very confused about who was telling the truth in that circumstance. I had terrible anxiety while trying to explain my situation to Alissa and was having trouble breathing and speaking and wearing the mask was not helpful either at the time. I told Alissa she almost gave me a panic attack in front of customers and Rayann and Alissa said"you almost gave me a panic attack, I can feel my heart racing."
This type of schoolyard type behavior of saying she was just as much in the same situation as me continued with everything that I said, belittling my concerns in front of staff and customers and in no way made me feel the typical "the customer is always right attitude" which is so common is business today. I was not made to feel my loyalty and purchases and current concerns were of any importance or significance by the employee Alissa typified but her response to my saying "you don't know what I've been through today" (my mother had just been in a car crash and her best friends funeral was this morning) by her replying "you don't know what I've been through, nobody knows what's going on with other people", she said this again at the other register as she was ringing another customer out (very unprofessional) while Rayann was processing my refund. Alissa stated "I'll give you each bag for two dollars if that will make you happy" with a sarcastic and rude tone of voice which I politely declined and again stated that"I just wanted to be charged correctly" Rayann went about reprocessing my payment and returned me $6.85 which I thought was too much as I had stated to Alissa and Rayann back at the register that "5 bags times $3.29, that's ok, one bag was ripped and is discounted to $2 so I just want my $1.29 that I'm owed" but I guess my concern was again overlooked and I am now looking at my new receipt and I was charged the $2 each for the 5 bags so they returned $6.85 without needing to and against my wishes. I have high value in honesty and integrity and abide by a high moral compass and am courtesy and respectful in all manner of business but what I experienced today really made me feel like not returning to tractor supply ever in the future, I actually said this out loud to Alissa and got no response or sincere concern about that which was really the ultimate show of lack of respect for me as a customer, I also feel the insensitivity I received when informing them I had anxiety was unacceptable, Alissa repeatedly belittle my concerns with her childish responses. My family and many others suffer from a diagnosed medical condition and should never be made to feel so unimportant as a paying customer let alone the standard common decency as a human being with medical issues. I'm sure your company does not appreciate the behavior of your employees today and wouldn't want me to contact the local newspaper about insensitivity and discrimination experienced by someone with a medical condition at our local store here in Windham Connecticut. Honestly until I hear from someone at your company I can't continue to risk shopping here again.
Attached is one picture of my original receipt, I will send the updated receipt as well if I can.
This is my updated receipt
Availability date
I made an online order, because it noted the item will be available for in store pick up the following day. I didn't hear anything, so I called the store and it was not in, nor would it be in that day. The following day I call customer service. She claims this is an "estimated date". I explain it did not say estimate anywhere. I do let checked the email and my order status, which said "available for pick up". Representative states she is not sure when it will be available and I may have to wait. I asked if I could get some more specific information, and the information being provided is vague. She says, "Is it vague to say there is going to be a wait!? Do you want me to cancel your order!? I'm trying to help you!". I said "no reason to be rude, but when you say wait, I have no idea if that means another day, another week, 3 months" and she still does not have even a rough estimate! Now I'm waiting for a supervisor to call me back, but I will NEVER shop at Tractor Supply EVER in my life again.
Desired outcome: I want what I ordered
Cub cadet riding lawn mower
We purchased a club cadet series 5400 lawnmower 1/15, today was the third time using it. It turns over but won't start. We followed operator's manual. We don't think the choke is working but we've tried everything. We spent nearly $2000 for this lemon. We'd be happy if the tractor supply store in Plant City, Fl would replace with a working mower and send...

The Tractor Supply store in Pleasanton, Texas has management issues. This is the third time this year that I have pulled up to the store and the employees were standing outside waiting for manager to open up. Store supposed to open at 8:00, now 9:00 and still not open!
I line air pressure regulator and filter / their customer service and warranty
I have an automotive repair shop in pecos tx. I was robbed in February and started replacing tools and equiptment at the end of February 2021. I went to tractor supply in Midland tx and bought a gasoline powered air compressor and inline pressure regulator and filter it cost $109.99 I had taken everything to my house and stored it there until a conex I had bought was delivered and it was leveled. on March 14th 2021 I took all tools and equiptment and started setting up the conex after I bolted everything in place I bought the fittings and battery cables and battery on March 15th 2021 to hook up the air compressor and had it operational on the March 16th 2021 I did not use the compressor till about the 20th of March a few days later the pressure regulator started leaking around the adjustment know so I took it off and set in in my tool box to finish my work I took it in to tractor supply in pecos to get it refunded on April 3rd and a guy named Luis said that he was not going to do anything about it because the warrenty was expired I explained to him that the compressor had only been hooked up for two weeks and he refused to do anything. I called their main office they said they should have refunded it it the store that they would send an e mail to the store manager and have him contact me to make this right and I never heard back from anyone. their headquarters number that I called was [protected] and was given a reference number of [protected] and never heard back from anyone.
Desired outcome: I would like it refunded
Store manager was extremely rude.
I went into the store in Cleveland Mississippi to purchase a sack of dog food which I did and while I was there I asked to file a tax exemption affidavit for the 1.5 percent sales tax on ag products. The cashier said she didn't know how and she'd have to get a manager.
The manager (Blake) came walking up, was not wearing anything to identify himself as a store manager and did not introduce himself as the store manager but simply asked me what I wanted. Bear in mind he set the tone with his attitude towards me from the get go. He said I needed a credit card at which point I said that I have an American Express and he very rudely replied that I'd need to apply for a tractor supply card. I told him that we weren't interested in a tractor supply credit card and that all I wanted to do was file the tax affidavit with the store so we could use the tax exemption. Anyway, from that point, due to his arrogance, rude behavior and unwillingness to help me the encounter escalated into me getting upset at which point i said we don't have to do business here and he said no you don't and you can leave MY STORE. This young lad needs to be retrained or something his behavior towards me was uncalled for and I feel like he was irritated by the fact he had to come up front to talk to me. I'd like an apology from him. At this point I'm afraid to go back into the Cleveland I don't feel safe there with that guy working there. He seems to have anger issues.
Desired outcome: I’d like the manager to apologize for his rude behavior.
animal cruelty
Brooder Chickens freezing to death! Shame on tractor supply...I will shop at rural king for chicks in the future...
I am going to contact animal rights in regards to this cruelty.
Desired outcome: FIX IT!!!
Chicks are being shipped to Phoenix Arizona in July & August when temperatures average 110+. Most arrive dead, the rest look dehydrated and in very poor condition. Chicks are raised in Arizona in the Fall or early Spring, NOT SUMMER. Every hatchery I know will only ship to Phoenix from October to May. Please fix this problem, it's cruel to treat chicks in this way and totally avoidable.
Dumor 16% layer pellet
I buy this feed exclusively from Tractor Supply Company for my laying hens. I got to the bottom of the latest bag and found some nasty clumps of black, moldy looking stuff ( I have photos). I am concerned that this is a safety issue for my chickens primarily. How could this be in a bag for an animal to eat? If this is what I can see, should I be concerned about what I cannot see in this feed?

Vet service
Nov. 2020 I called the store was told the service was open and did dog nails. Vet tech told me they do not do that anymore and was rude when I told her I called that day. I went to my car called the store from parking lot and store said yes they do. Bad service since I left a sick husband at home to take care of this. Jan 2021 arrive at 3:30 told to wait in car problem with registration rude tech again told me I could use a full service vet if I can't register correctly for dog vaccination. I finally was done after 5 I was originally the 2nd one in line before being told to wait in car.
Service
I had went to this tractor supply on 1/30/21 for vaccines through the pop up clinic. Upon arriving I asked 2 staff members where and what I should do since it was my first time. I was told to stand by certain doors and wait. Well, I did as told and waited 1 hour and 10 minutes since they were running late and never called. Wendy passed multiple time...

I had an issue with my manager. The store was busy. I told them I was going on break at 2pm. when I was heading back at 1:59pm, they told me to stay up front until it slows down. I went back up trying to hide my frustration. After it died, my manager says "You can go on break now since you don't have your panties in a twist." What he said was very inappropriate. I am NOT tolerating that. He needs to be talked to.
Tracking customers without their consent
I spoke with a Tractor Supply employee today and was telling her that I do not like companies asking for my phone number and tracking my purchases. She told me that employees will soon be wearing a device on their person that tracks every customer they come in contact with in case the employee tests positive for covid at some point in the future. She was not sure how the device would identify the costumer but I suspect it is through chips in credit cards or most likely through pinging the customers cell phone. This is outrageous and a disgusting violation of privacy! I told my spouse and called a few others about this. Everyone was equally appalled at this intrusion of privacy with out consent or knowledge. We will just go to a much smaller local company for most of our farm needs now. Technology is being used to violate the 4th amendment that garantees privacy in our person and papers. So as lawsuits will start rolling in to the individule employees for violating their 4th amendment rights maybe it will be stopped. Technology is being used in the most irresponsible and creepy ways and I and many others are getting very tired of it. Covid is a tool for tyranny and an excuse to take our privacy rights away. Most people are not aware that Tractor Supply will be doing this, but I will be sure to let them know.
Gun safe
Ordered a gun safe online after viewing it in the store. Only 1 option for delivery when checking out. When driver arrived (over 2 hours outside of scheduled window) I was informed it could not be brought into my home. I refused delivery and requested a refund. I called customer support as well to describe my frustration. I was informed the money would be refunded in 3-5 business days. Now 3 weeks later I am still waiting on my money. Upon speaking to customer support today I was told the delivery company should return the safe over the next couple days and my funds would be released.
How is any of this my fault and why has TSC held over 1k of my money for weeks?
Dead trees
In april my husband I purchase 1 apple tree, 2 peach trees, 1 pomegranate, 2 blueberry, 1 concord grape, and 2 raspberry bushes. After about a month, we noticed that the pomegranate, 2 raspberry bushes and 1 peach tree were not blooming nor leafing out at all. I contacted the store to ask if I could get a refund. They didn't answer me until june 4, 2020...

I have a friend who worked at the Tractor Supply in Greer, SC. Her manager, Mike Allison thought it was ok to yell at her and degrade her in front of other employees. No one, and I mean no one should ever be treated like this in the workplace. It is not only childish to act this way, but also certainly shows a lack of control and respect.
My husband and I shopped there on a regular basis, however, we will never step foot in a Tractor Supply store ever again, and I will let many people know what the manager is like. If a company will allow this type of treatment from management, then they don't deserve my money.
My friend was fired a day after he came off of FMLA. His wife had stage 4 cancer. There grounds were that as a store manger with over 30 years of retail expertise was he stole a soda. They had no proof. My friend was over 50 at the time. So much for fair labor practices. They may be legal but not fair.
The Eusits Florida store is the worst! The new management there SUCKS!Shes all about the $ and doesnt care about customers. Shes the worst!
Bad service
We have been Tractor Supply Company customers for 20 years since 1990. We have spent over $100, 000.00 in TSC stores around the country. So what happened to us in the North Canton Ohio store was a terrible shock. This store is a very bad store, run by a violent psychotic store manager, and rude incompetent store personnel. You get a bad feeling going into the store in that the store is staffed by unfriendly, rude, and incompetent clerks. Their motto is “WE BELIEVE IN ETHICS” which is total hypocrisy. Tractor Supply Company is a criminal organization that supports verbal assault of their customers.
I shop at the Oakdale CA. store and there is a clerk in this store who is rude, slow and a complainer (Amanda). She has no customer service skills and should not be in a retail environment. Why do company's hire or continue to employ people like her. Amanda you would only last a day working for me, stop ### and complaining and take care of the customers.
Management and employees
I used to shop at this store, but lately, over the past 8 months, it seems that the management of this store has sharply declined. Things are out of place, or out of stock, the employees don't seem to care that they are at work and that throwing tennis balls across the store to one another isn't exactly appropriate. The employee moral seems to be down. I...
