TK Maxx Staff at Camden store

Whilst shopping in Camden TKMaxx today, I came across some scented sprays with no lids on in front of other sprays with lids, and assumed they were to test the smell. I sprayed a little of 1 in front of me to see if I liked the smell to buy it and both a TKMaxx worker and a security guard came up to me and reprimanded me for spraying it. I explained there were no lids and thus no one would buy them, thinking they were testers. They told me I wasn’t allowed to spray, mustn’t do it again and stayed by me, without offering explanations as to why there were no lids on sprays for sale and why I couldn’t test the smell. I felt they were both far too heavy handed for the ‘crime’ they made me feel I had committed. They made me feel uncomfortable and upset there was no explanation. I felt I had to leave the shop and abandoned my basket.

Desired outcome: Appropriate training for all staff, appropriate labelling for products

TK Maxx Receive the jackets in the correct size.

I have been attempting to order 2 leather jackets from TK Maxx in size small. I have placed 5 separate orders totalling just over £1,000, each time I receive an order it is a size large or X-large. I have the inconvenience of having to return all of these jackets and the frustration of not being able to buy the size I want despite it continuing to be available on the TK Maxx website. Im struggling to understand why they can’t simply ship the size I order, does their warehouse have any quality control!? The customer service is appalling.

TK Maxx Order No [protected]

I have twice written about these items which arrived broken. I asked for information as to how I could send photographic evidence and received no information as to how to do this. I have received no refund either.

TK Maxx The quality of the clothing and the return policy

I am very dissatisfied with the quality of the products sold by tkmxx. On 27 December 2022 I purchased a Ralph Lauren jumper from tkmaxx in Manchester. I tried it on and found it to be a good fit, so I bought it home. However just as I was trying it on the next day I noticed a small hole in the underarm part of the jumper which widened again as I took it off (due to the material of the jumper). I didn't even wear it out of the house and this quality issue even happened before the tag was cut off.

When I took the jumper to tkmaxx in London to return it, I was told in a bad manner to go back to the original shop and get CCTV to prove that the hole was there when it was sold before I could return it. I was very angry about this as I had purchased the jumper and had not even worn it once (after all, no one wears a jumper with a tag out of the house) and the jumper had a hole in it and the company was avoiding responsibility for such a quality issue. Consumer rights are not protected at all at tkmaxx.

It really wasted my time as I travelled to Manchester and bought this item.

Desired outcome: let me return the clothes at my local TKMAXX or online and refund me fully

TK Maxx Black bag

I purchased a black bag for weeks ago and kept the receipt. I attempted to return it because white spots showed up all over it. I tried wiping them off, but they are embedded in the material. I was informed at the time of my attempted return that because I did not keep the tag that was attached to it, they would not except the return even though I have the receipt. I surely they have to have a better system in place than that because now I am out $40 for a bad product. This was my first and last purchase at TJ Maxx.

TK Maxx Watches/ perfume

Re: Poorly wrapped packaging, missing packaging

d Recently, I have purchased watches and Perfume from TK Maxx over the last few months,

The items were either poorly packaged in flimsy bags or parts of the product were missing. Consequently, the damaged items I had to return local store. I have raised this issue with Tk Maax- customer services on 01923 473561on various occasions. Each time I have been advised that it is a warehouse issue.

Additionally, I provisionally made contact with customer services when I placed an order for delicate expensive items to request secure packaging as soon as I placed the order. Each time Customer services assured me that items will be sent in boxes . Today, I experienced the same response regarding order - [protected]. Customer services advised me that the warehouse is a third party entry entity. It appears that TK Maax-online does not care if the items customers receive are securely packaged or not.

Desired outcome: Please do not send expensive items in a flimsy plastic bags. If there are parts of the product missing like instructions/ boxes . Please highlight in the item description. so Customers can make an informed choice.

TK Maxx Non delivery of order

I placed an order 3 weeks ago where I was charged £139, I was told that the order had been dispatched but it never arrived. I have contacted customer service twice and was told I would have to wait 48 hours for a response, I waited had no response contacted them a 2nd time and told yet again to wait 48 hours. I have emailed to which I have had no response

TK Maxx Customer service and security guards

I went to tkmax 15/10/21 to get a refund.

Customer related at high Street Kensington tkmax a customer rolled buggy of my shoes with her buggy guards did nothing.
They didn't locate the the offender but came with a confrontation attitudes leaving NO 2 meters distance up in my face though told them to back off the white female guard ignored my request cause me anger and frustration.

Desired outcome: Sack the incompetent security guards

TK Maxx Undelivered parcel

Sent my parcel to wrong address 150 miles away from my home! No one at TKMaxx customer services knew what to do? I Have called numerous times asking for explanation but to no avail? I paid over £115 for items never received! Hermes even took a picture of this wrong address showing parcel delivered! Despite a recall request.I hv now spoken to 3 different customer service representatives and been given different advice by all 3 employees.I hv now asked for manager to call me and address this complaint—- tbc

TK Maxx Customer service

I have been a regular customer for awhile, buying their clothing, items and many other things. However today (12/08/2021) I have never felt so uncomfortable and yet so badly treated by staffing.

First a lady who worked in the changing rooms who I would like to name but have respect, for saw me and assumed that I wasn't going to buy the shoes. I would like to try shoes on before buying as I do not see any problem in that. Then she stood at the end of shoe areas and stared at me while trying the shoes on.

Grabbed both pair of shoes to see if I can get an input from my friend. She then kept looking at me and following me with a horrible stare.

Went upstairs to the home section to do a bit more of shopping, had seen a young staff guy coming and down looked at me suspiciously and said something in his ear piece.

At reaching to the tills I felt all eyes on me as I was buying the shoes. I would just like to say, everyone who works in retail understands how hard it can be. However do not look at someone and judge by their appearance or the length of time I spend in store and assume they're not going to pay.

It's rude and not right. Please be mindful of how the staffing in the shop can treat people. It's not acceptable and it's disgusting how I was treated. I felt I had to rush out of the store. The length of time I spend in the store deciding on the shoes or what to get is no one business apart from mine. The looks are unacceptable and not appropriate.

I have not once ever thought of writing a comment. However I am a lady with a morals and respect, I do not steal nor do I ever think about stealing. I have worked in retail before and I understand how it can get, but not once not once would I automatically assume someone is stealing for wanting to look around and try shoes on.

TK Maxx bad service

I ordered some polo shirts that cost 65 pounds and it kept declining all my card saying there was an error please try again I phoned the bank to check if it was ok and it turns out the order had gone through many times and my account was almost empty tk maxx tried to blame the bank and won't deliver the polos and will keep my money for two weeks the man was very rude down the phone no help at all and took 3 hours to supposedly sort the situation

TK Maxx a teapot

I bought a small cast iron teapot a few weeks ago. I started to notice the inside of the lid began to rust so stopped using the lid. About another week later I started to notice the inside of the pot had also began to corode. I would not normally be too upset about something like this but I am undergoing treatment for cancer and the last thing I need to be ingesting is rust, my immune system is not a its best right now and I am worried about the effects this has had on my insides as well as angry. I am really dissapointed that this product is being sold off the shelves. I have no receipt as I felt no need to keep it for a cast iron teapot. I cannot get onto the complaints procedure through resolver and I'm not in Edinburgh very often so what do I do to get this sorted.

TK Maxx double charge only one refund

On 1st March 2013 at the above store I was charged twice for the same item. Only after checking my online bank account was this noticed.
I purchased an item of mens knitwear for £19.99. I had to return the item as they had stuck an "L" label over the actual "S" size and so the item was naturally far too small. The staff member was very courteous and refunded my £19.99 onto my debit card and the credit duly appeared on my bank statement. It was at this stage I noticed that there were TWO debits and only one credit with the net result that I was still out of pocket by £19.99.

TK Maxx partial insulting behaviour

respected sir/madam,
i am an employee at tk maxx gallions reach shopping park, beckton and the till supervisor BEENISH is a very unfit lady to be a supervisor. She talks with utmost disrespect and does her own partialism with her own friends working there and boyfriend Usman. .She gets annoyed when she has to do little more relating work and this attitude is not good for the company and for the employees, I request she be expelled as of the manager she has built good relation with DOUBT how. She in an insulting way says 'I AM THE MANAGER' stating as if she got every right to insult everyone. Even to customers she is not really good. She is a foreigner so she sounds lik e one, this organisation should atleast have someone who can have a good barrier in english atleast. Hope action would be taken as this is really unfair and we as employees would be happy with the right decison.

TK Maxx faulty clothing, and misuse of social networking sites

I bought 3 pairs of runners in their store 2 of them were waterproof, i just used them occasionally for walking to the shops in the rain.The 3rd pair of runners were not waterproof and i did not wear them in the rain. I wore the 3rd pair of runners for 4-hours on holiday and the glue came off in the same place as the other 2 pairs of runners. I dont have my receipt as i did not think i could be that unlucky as the 3rd pair were a different brand. Also i used the tkmax facebook website which says please tell us ur comments and so i did using no verbal bad language and none of my comments were published. The tkmax facebook pages dont post any negative comments ..! (oh hold on they only post very few ones like ur store smells bad ) just to make u think that people can leave negative comments so the readers think this store is fair letting everyone have their say. ! ***I think its only fair that consumers know the truth if they did not know it before now. Sorry the photo resolution on my photo is too high so i show u shoes.

TK Maxx falsey accused of shoplifting

I spent nearly €100 in this store before continuing on with my shopping. About 30 minutes after I left the store I was accousted by a strange man who flashed me ID from TK MAXX and was invited to return to the store with him to view CCTV footage of myself "acting in a suspicious manner". I was gobsmacked. I asked him if he was accusing me of shoplifting but he refused to answer the question. I told him if that is what the incident was about then to call the police immediately. I was perfectly happy for them to look at my receipts, search me and search my bags. I had done nothing wrong. However he refused to do this. Instead he kept on "inviting" me in quiet an intimidating manner to return with him to the shop. However he was careful not to put his hands on me. Finally I got quiet upset. I told him either he call the police or I would do it myself. When he wouldn't leave I began dialling 999 and that is when he walked off. I was very upset and complained to a security gaurd on patrol in the centre. He suggested I go to a solicitor. When I contacted a solicitor I was told there was very little I could do. This man was careful to "invite" as opposed to coerce me. He did not put his hands on me. Anything that shows up on CCTV could be simply explained away as a conversation. Perhaps this is how he gets his kicks. I have made a complaint to head office but as yet have heard nothing back. I will never shop in this place again and urge anyone going in there to be very very careful and if this happens to you, call the police and get them down there immediately and do not move from your location. Do not go with this man. He has no authority. I dread to think of what may have happened if I had unwittingly gone back in.

TK Maxx exchange refusal

I attempted to return a faulty top to TK Maxx Bristol. I couldn't find the receipt but had my Bank statement and the top (unworn) complete with all labels.

They didn't have replacement and told me they were unwilling to offer a credit note or exchange based on my bank statement.

Basically I was told that TK Maxx do not sell Calvin Klein tops at £79.99, in fact not over £34.99, so I did not buy it from them.

They were basically rude and tried to make out I was lying.

I was told the manager was too busy and they refused to speak to me.

In the background there were mutterings of sales targets, so basically they were not going to do anything that took their sales down.

What worries me most is that they sold me the top for £79.99 but they don't sell CK for over £34.99. Also even if I had the receipt they could claim it was for another item.

TK Maxx safety in the store

after visiting tkmaxx in plymouth going up the stairs and being on the top floor i noticed that the lift was out of order and i have a fear of hights so i fear going down on moving stairs i asked a member of staff if it was ok to use the other stair he said that he have to asked the boss on duty h went off to ask and i was told by the boss that there had been a large ammount of stock deleivered to day and all the fire stairs were blocked by the stock o told him i was scared of the moving stairs going down and he said if you come up them there no diffrence i think it a bad way to treat a custermer and as for all the fire stairs being blocked off when i asked him what if they were needed he just shrugged his shoulders .in future i think i will shop some were else if they don, t value there custermers

no but it the stores responsibilty to make sure custermers are safe and they never by blocking the fire exit stairs

TK Maxx charges

i went to tk maxx in wigan to purchase a bag i had seen which was £30 when i went to the till i was told there was a charge of 6p for a carrier bag to put the bag i was purchasing in.Now i always take my own bags to the supermarket as i am not in favour of plastic bags but as i wasnt food shopping i didnt take a bag with me.Im sorry but i think if i am purchasing a bag from you at £30 i shouldnt have to pay 6p for a bag to put it in.Iwas very annoyed i could understand you charging for something worth just a couple of pounds but not when im paying 30 i told the assistant to put it back and i would go elswhere, she just said okay, so all for the sake of a carrier bag you lost a £30 sale.

TK Maxx wrong sizes labels

Tkmax are a joke i have just received £150.00 worth of clothes fom online store and every one is a size 14 even though i ordered 18s after 3 phone calls and promises of a call straight back (which never happened) i have been told its because in CHINA? a size 14 is a size uk 18 well im sorry but im not in china and there is no way they would fit a 16 (which i actually am ) never mind an 18 sureley you order the size that you require and expect that size delivered i will certainly not shop with them again BEWARE.

I have ordered quite a few dresses online and I don't know what kind of people they employ at their warehouses but they almost always send the wrong sizes. For US dresses where I order a UK 12, they need to send me a US 8 but they tend to send the US 12 which is a UK 16. I finally had enough and called customer services. They said they spoke to the warehouse and they have said the size 12 fits the measurements of a size 12! I have ordered the same dress in a US8 and this is the size which is a UK 12 and fits me. Instead of taking a measuring tape to measure the dress, why don't they just look at the tag inside the dress. If the dress is from America, then the 8 is a size 12 UK ... I am fed up!
