Tkmax are a joke i have just received £150.00 worth of clothes fom online store and every one is a size 14 even though i ordered 18s after 3 phone calls and promises of a call straight back (which never happened) i have been told its because in CHINA? a size 14 is a size uk 18 well im sorry but im not in china and there is no way they would fit a 16 (which i actually am ) never mind an 18 sureley you order the size that you require and expect that size delivered i will certainly not shop with them again BEWARE.

carrier bags
I Was horrified when they charged me 4p for a carrier bag when i bought some trainers for my girlfriends son, they told me i should have brought my own if i wanted a bag i had to pay 4p. i was on my break at work and had no bags but to be told that was rude and not customer friendly, you would not go to a restaraunt and take your own knife and fork and be expected to pay if you didnt, i will never step foot back in that shop again as they are rude arrogant an deven trying to make money on bags in these times when the general public are struggling with the credit crunch, what next will it be you have to pay for till roll if you want a reciept.?

I agree. Tkmaxx are a fraudulent company who dismiss senior managers just to cut their payroll costs. And whoever said the carrier bags sale goes to charity is a lie. If u read smallprint, half goes back to tkmaxx to cover cost of the bag. I am an area manager here and I hate it. Typical bullish american company! Only care about one thing and that's not its people.
How pathetic you are most of us give to charity of our own accord but to be forced to is beyond the realms of decency do we not have freedom anymore.TK maxx are just highway robbers no where in the store does it say that these 4p go to charity

i visited the store recentley in scarborough, i went to purchase a dress when i was asked would i like a carrier bag, i looked puzzled as how would i carry the garment home! i got told i would have to pay 10p for the bag, i was gobsmacked, i then refused to pay on principle that i was spending £17 on a dress. The cashier still refused, so i asked for the manager, i explained the situation to a rude and ignorant response, i said i was not willing to pay for the bag or buy the dress on principle, the manager did not seem to care that i was not going to buy the dress. I thought we were in a credit crunch and every sale counts, obviously tk maxx must be making such a fortune in these times that they can afford to loose custom. i will not be shopping in thier again due to the attitude of the manager, staff and store policy.
&extremely bad costumer relations
Do not try to do shopping at Peninsula Tk Max Greenwich .I have been verbally abused by TK Max Customer service manager in a way I won't forget rest of my life. The person who works there as a manager uses extra ordinary aggressive attitudes I felt myself if I was in a poor quality environment and I won't go there for a long time in order to forget what I saw.
The proper manager should accept issue in a professional matter the should not use abusive word towards customer or never threaten customer in a way if the work as a prison guard not as a customer oriented manager. It was lawfully and morally wrong.
All the time I go there no one to ask a question or get help but this time it was more than than. asked to change a item I bought one week ago but the subject changed to the abuse I forget what I want because I had been treated very badly. I wouldn't imagine it is happing in a democratic global company . I felt myself I am in collapse environment.

For the past 2 years I continually get Phone calls to my home which should be directed to TKM. This happens at all times of day and night, and despite complaining in person to the offending store ( Team Valley Trading Est, Low Fell, Gateshead .) nothing has been done. Apparently this problem arises when customers use their receipts to find the telephone number of the Store to place their Query. Unfortunately, the printing on the receipt is inferior and the store number 4874468 is more often read as 4874488. I am very reluctant to change my telephone number which I have had for 25 years and my Business is dependent upon ease of number recollection. I would really appreciate if someone could look into this problem whichn surely is not insurmountable and resolve what is very fast becoming a highly stressful situation.
If someone gets in your face in a hostile way you may be
forced to remove part of thier face.

I have ordered quite a few dresses online and I don't know what kind of people they employ at their warehouses but they almost always send the wrong sizes. For US dresses where I order a UK 12, they need to send me a US 8 but they tend to send the US 12 which is a UK 16. I finally had enough and called customer services. They said they spoke to the warehouse and they have said the size 12 fits the measurements of a size 12! I have ordered the same dress in a US8 and this is the size which is a UK 12 and fits me. Instead of taking a measuring tape to measure the dress, why don't they just look at the tag inside the dress. If the dress is from America, then the 8 is a size 12 UK ... I am fed up!
