I have had a Target card for 20+ years. Besides Costco it was my go
to store. I’ve always paid my entire bill on time. In February I made a $26 purchase. I did not get a bill in March and assumed it was because I made the purchase late in the billing cycle. I
got a bill in April that said the $26 was due in May. No notification from Target that it was late. I found out it was considered delinquent via the credit reporting agencies, NOT through Target. I paid it immediately, of course, and contacted them to fix their mistake. Customer service sent me to TD (banking) who sent me back to
customer service.
I have complained to all 3 financial institutions. Target will not remove the delinquent report and I initially lost 100 points from my credit score due to it. This is wrong on so many levels.
Claimed loss: Credit score lowered and delinquency report.
Desired outcome: I want the delinquency report removed and I want an apology.
