I am so angry I could spit. I just spent 45 minutes walking around the store to get the perfect ingredients for dessert I picked up a cake, and whipped cream then picked up a few staples like chicken broth, frozen spinach and some chips. I might have had a few more items but everything fit in the top of the smallest cart you have there. I waited patiently as the cashier chatted with the woman in front of me and when it was my turn I put my groceries on the belt. Btw I will admit I was already peeved because so many items were missing from the shelves. I had asked the front end manager if it was possible that there was not one single bottle of poland springs water in the whole store and she said when they have it they put it out. Meanwhile back at the register the cashier totaled the order and said One hundred eighty three dollars and some odd cents. I was floored but sure it was just an error I told her to look at the cart and she looked at the register and insisted that I pay her 183.00. I could not convince her that there must be an error and that there could not possibly be more than 40 dollars worth of groceries here obviously. She just waited for the money. But this time I was so annoyed I left. This is not the first time I have been disappointed in they way things are done at S&S but it is my local store and less than one mile away so what can you do? I will now be taking my time, which you have so plainly wasted, to drive to Rhode Island to shop at Shaws and every time I do I will be thinking of new ways to tell everyone I meet just what I think of your stores. I can only hope you will soon be replaced by another more pleasant grocery.
