Me, My husband and my sisters was visiting the
Glen Carbon Spencer's location. (146 Junction Dr Suite 5, Glen Carbon, IL 62034) we had just recently moved there and was happy to know our favorite store was close by. we were having a great time though the staff was not too pleasant. they were extremely rude. my fiancé and sister were talking about the "i heart boobies" sticker box and saw there was no stickers my sister flipped off the box in a jokingly manor and my husband decided to do it to join in mind you they were just joking they didn't know the box was cancer affiliated only because there was nothing in or on that box that had nothing Todo with cancer. than a very round lady with white short hair, asked ONLY my fiancé why he had a problem with children's cancer, mind you there were no stickers stating children's cancer. There were no stickers at all in the box. when he went to try and answer her and ask her to explain, she cut him off and told him to leave. in her words she said "you need to [censored]ing leave, that was not cool" I stepped in and told him he was no going anywhere, and i than tried to politely explain the situation to her and how it was a big misunderstanding she cut me off as well. We did leave as we were instructed but we will not be returning unless either that woman is taught some communication skills, i spoke with a friend about this and she said that this lady did the same thing to her son except with a completely different situation but it involved that same box, i apologize if we offended anyone but maybe if she would have just listened and let us explain. How are you going to ask someone question and not let them even answer?i want me and my husband to continue going to that store as it is now 5min from our house, but I won't be in the same room with a woman who disrespected my husband, when he tried to apologize for his action. I swear as a medical professional who works with cancer patients every day and my husband who donates stuff animals to cancer kids twice a month. WE are telling the truth and our voices are meant to be herd. i understand defending kids with cancer or even defending anything. i just wish we were able to settle this misunderstanding situation.
Desired outcome: 1. If we are still welcome? 2. This woman to be spoken to about her communication skills. If still refuses something needs to be done. Customers cannot be treated like this.
