I worked for Spencer’s in BC for a little over a year and a half, and in that time I got pushed into the acting manager role, ended up working 84 hours a week for 93 days, found out a few days ago that I was underpaid to an EXTREME level, by law you were supposed to be paying me time and a half for one of those days every week which I know Andrew Pringle (my district manager at the time) wasn’t putting that through, if he was then I would have had my wages up at $27/h, it was years ago now but I only recently found out that I wasn’t paid properly. I was talking to a few people I know who pay attention to labour laws and they both said there’s no way I was paid properly since working 1008 hours without more than 10 hours between shifts would have forced an investigation into the company, who do I talk to about receiving my back pay from before covid?
