would not exchange or refund curling iron
I bought a curling iron from SHOPPERS DRUG MART and tried to return it a few days later as I purchased in error, the wrong size. I wanted to exchange it for the correct size.
I was told by SHOPPERS DRUG MART that they have a policy that states they will not refund or exchange electronic devices.
I said to them in response, where in your store is this policy posted, it sure as heck not posted at the till, nor anywhere that sort of merchandize is displayed.
I continued on to say that on SHOPPERS DRUG MART website, curling irons were not on the excluded return item list, but if the item was in saleable condition, and returned within 30 days of purchase, it was fine. (which of course the box was in pristine condition and item never used).
Still they would not budge.
It is beyond me why a store chain as big as SHOPPERS DRUG MART would have such a policy, is it worth the $45 dollar item to have a VERY unhappy costumer one who will make a point to let everyone know about their unreasonable policy?
Apparently so.
powerade drink
Dear Shoppers I have been to 3 stores in Welland Ontario to buy a case of Powerade that is on sale in your flyer and all 3 stores did not have it and they all said nothing was delivered because its not a regular item they carry. So why put it in the flyer if no stores are going to have it. Its been a waste of my time driving around and not to mention my gas money. Oh by the way i couldn't even get a rain check .
horrible "customer service"
Today, I went to the Aurora location on Bayview Ave and Hollandview Trail. I walked in with my son in the cart. I made eye contact with the lady at the beauty department as I was going to ask her for help. She looked my way and walked away to help another customer. We didn't even get acknowledged. I figured she was busy and went to look at products myself. After looking at everything, and still being confused, I decided to go back and ask her for help (This was about 20 minutes after we initially came in). She was now cashing out yet another client. I stood on the side of the counter to ask if there was anyone else that could help me. She ignored me for the first few minutes then turned and asked "yes?". I asked if anyone else is able to help me and she asked why. I said " I need help with skincare and creams". She said she will be with me within a minute. I went back to the cosmetic section. About 5 minutes later, she still didn't approach me so I decided that I would just go to Another location instead where someone would be glad to help me. She then found me in an aisle looking at shampoo (yelling from the end of the aisle, as I was on the other end) saying she's able to help me now. I said I'm ok now, and will be going to another location. She didn't apologize and just walked away. She is absolutely horrible. She looks miserable, isn't approachable, and looks like she hates her job. I once dealt with her and my grandma trying to find a cream for my grandma. She instantly told us that "only" the most expensive cream in the store will do the trick and nothing else. Ive dealt with another lady in the beauty department at the same location and she's wonderful (the blonde lady). This one on the other hand makes me want to avoid Shoppers Drug Marts all together. Didn't catch her name but she's an older, heavier set, lady with dark/black shorter - shoulder length hair. Just look for someone miserable, you won't miss her.
pharmacy dept spring garden rd. halifax, ns store number #0147
Good afternoon,
My name is Carolyn Gwynn, and I have a complaint to file against your pharmacy at Spring Garden Rd, Halifax, N.S.
I recently moved to Halifax as I have been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and bone cancer and wanted to be near the hospital.
Two months ago I transferred my file of many years from FallRiver NS to this location due to its proximity to me.
I have had to refill prescriptions three times in two months. Every time they we're unable to fully fill them and requested that I return within a week to pick them up. Each time they said they would call me when they came in. Not once did they make that phone call. Two weeks ago I dropped off three more prescriptions. I returned after a week to pick them up. At that time, one was complete, the other two were not. One, the apo-acyclovir, I need to take twice a day. He gave me 14, and said the rest would be there in a couple of days. I asked why the issue with filling these prescriptions again. He said because they had an 8 hour power outage, the orders did not get sent. Really? At this point they had two weeks to fill this order.
Today, Tues., Jan 15, I returned once again to get the rest of my pills. They were nowhere to be found. Next thing I hear is the pharmacist calling around asking if other pharmacies have ‘extras.' She told me one had a different supplier, the other, there is a shortage. I was supposed to take my app-acyclovir this morning and I have run out.
I no longer have confidence in this pharmacy. If they are unable to properly run a business than I am concerned on their ability to properly fill my meds.
Also, each time I have been there to drop off or pick up, the three pharmacists stay behind their computers for at least 5 minutes refusing to look at the customers for fear one of them might have to wait on the counter.
Every other Shoppers I have used has been wonderful and I feel that this is a deterrent to your company.
I will be removing my file today, and going across the street to Lawton's.
Thank you for your time
Carolyn Gwynn
poor customer service
I had gone on a Saturday night at the newtonbroom plaza shoppers drug mart at 5845 Yonge street, I asked one of the lady workers (who is responsible for shelving I suppose), if they have sea salt and she unwelcomely said no and completely ignored me after, so I go and ask the pharmacy staff for sea salt and surprisingly he had directed me to it, so I was rudely lied to about a product, your staff need proper training if people want to buy your products at that location.
base cream life brand
I purchased this item regularly I just purchased one in December the bottle is 3/4 full I have photos I'd like to show you thank you I know settling occurs during packaging but I have never received a jar like this and I purchase this item like I said all the time it's one of my favorites and I'm happy with it I'm very disappointed in the amount of cream for the price that I've paid
bogo vitamin 3-hour sale jan 9, 2018
Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 7:30pm - Refused the 6pm-9pm BOGO vitamin deal at the Toronto Eaton Centre location of Shoppers Drug Mart, stating that Jamieson vitamins were not part of the deal. Two different cashiers refused to escalate the problem and dismissed it as "not applicable" and waved a sheet of paper with a discount code on it from Head Office. I asked to see the manager and they refused. I have both their names and informed them I would escalate to Head Office and they yelled GO AHEAD. My friend who was also refused the discount by these two ladies, went to another location on Bloor Street and got the exact same vitamins she tried to purchase at the Eaton Centre.
employee
This morning around 1 am we went into the Shoppers Drug mart in the Southgate shopping centre to purchase earrings as my ears had gotten infected. My fiance and I walked over to the section with earrings and was promptly stopped by the assistant manager at the time. He looked suspiciously at us and would not budge as I was trying to get to the earrrings. I told him I was simply there to get earrings and he said "you shouldnt be wearing a mask in a drug store" implying they we were intending on stealing from them which was NEVER our intention. I felt threatened by said assistant manager and feel he was unjust in assuming we were there to rob them because my fiance was wearing a winter mask to protect his face from the cold.
bogo vitamins
2nd complaint in two years about the same thing. Every time BOGO vitamin promotion is on, it excludes those on sale and the whole vitamin aisle is full of sales stickers. Deliberate action to limit the BOGO uptake. Rexall has same promotion but they do not scam their customers by putting them all on sale and excluding most brands. I never heard back from my first complaint so do not expect to hear back on this one either
Expect Shoppers to take action
shoppers drug mart gift card
Hello
I tried to use my $25 shoppers drug mart gift card on January 3, 2018 in orillia on west mount drive store and the transaction was not completed. The cashier called for assistance and her supervisor stated that I have to contact head office since the card was swiped more than once by cashier (3 times she tried) and cards cannot be used if this occurs.
I received this card in the mail as part of using my RBC VISA points.

2 free movie pass promotion
To Whom It May Concern,
I have bee a Shoppers client for many years - Optimum # [protected]. I went to Shoppers today Sunday Jan. 7th and made a purchase of $81.25 before taxes. After paying for my purchase the clerk did not offer me the 2 free movie passes that I was entitled to based on my spend. I was told they ran out of tickets and the posters were taken down because they had no more movie tickets. This has happened to me before and I let it go. If Shoppers can not honour their advertisement then they should not be offering this promo. I understand you can run out then you should be prepared to offer rain checks or make it up with Optimum points. I am very disappointed and am requesting that Shoppers treat it's customers fairly. Looking forward to your reply.
pharmacy
I have bad over 15 issues with Shopper's Drug Mart the last 3 years. I am on many medications and they have called me a liar when in fact no one has ever delivered a single thing to me. They have accused me of taking a full bottle of pills (100 pills) in a single day implying I am an addict. I am continuously disrespected and treated like garbage because the medication I need is for my chronic pain. I can no longer even go in the store without the pharmacy staff harassing me. I now have to have my own Mother pick up my medication because they give me a hard time. They have also talked about me right in front of me thinking I couldn't hear and have said incredibly nasty things. I am so disgusted with the staff that work at the pharmacy that I have a panic attack before calling to get a refill. I know this will never be fixed because they are a huge corporation and I am one single person, but I needed to get this out there so people are warned. Don't use Shopper's for their pharmacy unless you want severe anxiety, to be called a liar and never receive your medication.
staff
I was just in a shoppers drug mart, I usually spend atleast $50 every visit, once a month or more. Today I had a cart full of almost $50 and I had a mascara that I seen on sale for $6.49. Upon self check-out it was ringing up for $7.99. The merchandiser was called who then went to the cosmetics counter and there the lady told him it's not that colour for sale. I had a black mascara, and nowhere on the sign did it state anything about only a specific colour was for sale. All of the black mascaras were all in the same spot under that sale sign for $6.49. So as a customer I thought shoppers would take the error as their mistake and realize as a customer I only seen a sign with no details that it was only the brown mascara on sale. But the cosmetics lady was rude and wouldn't even realize this was their error. So I asked for the manager - a very rude girl named Jerizzia came and said she won't do anything about it, I was so shocked as the sign did say $6.49, she embarrassed me in front of all the customers saying she needs to help the customers, as if I was not also a customer. I said Walmart would have issued the price as a courtesy to the paying customer, and after her rudeness I actually left all my items I had already bagged and walked away. Jerizzia then shouted to me as I was leaving "you should go shop at Walmart then" this was in front of a packed store! How terrible and unprofessional. I have never felt such bad customer service in a while, and I know good service as I train and recruit for a top Retail company. Shoppers needs to train their staff better!
pharmacy
I have been dealing with this pharmacy for over twenty years. My prescriptions are comprised of controlled substance and regular meds.
I also seem to have last minute problems with this pharmacy and they lack being proactive in resolving or ensuring that their clients have their medications. I have a medication that is controlled and therefore cannot be renewed until due date. The prescription label stated 7 renewals so I thought all was ok. It's a Saturday, called for renewal for all my meds. Told by the pharmacist that the med in question is expired. What? Apparently you have an expiry date on meds but fail to advise your clients of the upcoming expiration event though the label stated 7 renewals left. How am I supposed to know the upcoming expiry date if you don't advise me or use one of your warning stickers on the previous renewal.
Pharmasict refused to help me until new prescription, and furthermore did not bother to renew my other prescriptions. Due to the fact that the med in question is required and have been used for twenty years, I found myself facing withdrawals. Great customer care!
The pharmacists at this location do not care for their clients and are only used to dispense pills. Forget getting any help from them after hours or when something like this happens.
staff
I was in the Shoppers drug Mart purchasing some creams. I usually spent anywhere from 80.00 to 200.00 in shoppers twice a month. The services was terrible. I noticed the staff was very helpful to the other patrons but seemed irritated when I was paying. I work in the social services field and I was shocked this staff is a manager. Her name was Patrica. A smile or a kind word would have been nice.
Customer relations is apparently not taken seriously at Shopper's Drug Mart. I have had three encounters with obnoxious cashiers at the Shopper's Drug Mart in St. Vital Center on Dakota street in Winnipeg, and finally had had enough by the third so I called the manager and left a complaint on his answering service. From reading the complaints like this one posted here, I realize that I would rather shop elsewhere at this time since I doubt customer relations will be getting better any time soon. Grow up SHOPPERS DRUG MART administrators! Train your staff so properly.
life brand warm mist humidifier.
Good morning. Last night we had our life brand warm air humidifier running and it ran out of water being everyone was sleeping. I woke up to the smell of electrical burning. I ran into the living room and seen flames and smoke coming out of the top of our machine. I quickly unplugged it and ran it over to the sink in the kitchen and ran water on it to put...

So everytime I go to get my meds from this shoppers at 681 algonquin Blvd E #5, Timmins, On, P4N 8S6, they mess up the entire prescription and even try and charge me for fee's that should be covered, this happens everytime without fail no matter how much I try and prevent it from happening. This usually results in me paying for meds that should be covered and then being told to come in the next day for my refund. Should be fine right, except everytime I try to come for my regund i'm told that either the delivery man didnt bring money back (which I don't see how thats my problem) or that I was charged on the account (w/e that means) and bunch other exscuses that contradict the previous employee's that I spoke with. Basically i'm dicked around for few days till they eventually sort things out. If your like me and have a disease thats effected by stress, this pharmacy and it's half fast employee's ain't a good place to deal with unless you want to deal with their unwillingless to do their jobs.
5 times in a row this happened (you'd think they'd smarten up fith time) so now I'm writing this to warn anyone with medical issue that it's not worth going to that particular pharmacy, as they'll just lie through their teeth and tell you previous employee you talked to that said everything would be fine and that their writing notes for whoever you talk to next, and you'll just be passed around and fustrated the entire time.
The employee's at this pharmacy doesnt even have good speaking skills as you can't explain anything without them sayinng they can't do nothing, just to be told by another employee that they can. This pharmacy makes you feel helpless.
People I'd like to complain about from my most recent visit is the superviser Jessica who was less then pleasant about the whole ordeal, and parth who was the first person I dealt with who said I would have my money back in cash the next day (4 days ago and still waiting...) would list other names, cuz most of the pharmacy employee's are just as bad but didn't think I would be screwed around soo much.
Still waiting to get money thats owed which apparently only the owner can do even though the other 4 times I didn't need the owner.
Shoppers needs to curate their employee's more as this is not a great experience in the least.

self checkout service
I was at the self check out at west Springs shoppers and I had already scanned 1/2 of my items and put them in my bag. At That time the sales clerk came to me and said sorry it's only a 6 item limit at self check out. She came and rudely cancelled my transaction told me to go to the till. I said I don't like waiting in line and there was no one else using the self check out. I told her sorry have a good day.i left and went to coop across the street where service is better.
store discrimination against christians
On Sunday I went to pick up my medication. I found a sign about the flu shots, with a picture of a Muslim woman. The store did not have any Christmas decorations. I thought we are in Canada not Tne Middle East.
I decided to take my businsss to a local pharmacy respects Camadian traditions.
Woman with a Hijab is a religious symbol not culture . When Canada is multi culture Hijab is not. Culture symbol to say we are multi culture .
So you'd rather see a woman scantily clad?! Too many Christian women dress like they're expecting God to put money on their dresser!
