Shaw Communications placed on hold & ignored

Shaw cable advertises a 24 hour service to win your custom yet tonight on Friday the 4th of June 5, 2010 I have been on hold once for 30 min but the problem wasnt resolved and now the second time I have been on hold for an 1 hour and 12 minutes. This is unacceptable service as they could easily place you on a call back list so you as a customer arent inconvenienced but it seems that Shaw cable doesnt really care once they have your money you can stay on the phone forever listening to their stupid taped message, Im sorry all our representatives are serving other customers over and over again. Lucky for them they have a monopoly on the service but unfortunately very unlucky for us.

so after being on hold for 50 min and getting the extra volume again story. I talk to a supervisor who tells me that 87 % of calls answered in 2 min... what a joke

Shaw Communications service

I made the error in choosing Shaw as a land line provider. It has taken nearly a month for them to activate my cable at a new home. I have been without phone service other then cell for 11 days... no 911 service etc. I have been waiting for 4 hours for the installer to finally show up... its now 15 minutes until the end of the 4 hour window I was given and no one here yet. This company has a virtual monopoly if you live in a condo... virtually all condo's do not allow dish services and Telus has made no ingress to speak of in the cable market for condo's. Despite this they are allowed to provide totally inadequate service levels and customer service when you are finally able to contact them have a you have no options but us... so what you gonna do .. not have TV attitude that no other company could survive with ... unless they were allowed to have a monopoly.

I have been without phone service for two days, went to shaw office and was told they would send a repair man out. He must have taken the scenic tour as it is now 11:20 P.M and he never did show up. I wonder if I could pay my bill with such slowness.

I had the same issues as last year with my cable TV. A few channels would not work; therefore, I called Shaw to report the problem. The person that I got on the phone was ok overall, but offended me...When she asked me if there is a "splitter" at the back of my cable box and I told her that I am not familiar with the term and to explain it to me, she asked to speak with somebody else in the household. I did tell her that I am not stupid, just to explain me what she means by that, as I do not use the word or know what it is. She could of course have chosen to speak with either my 5 year old son or 10 year old daughter...

It seems to be the mentality at Shaw, which I find offensive and quite degrading, even sexist. When the Technician came by he did fix the cable TV issue; however, when I mentioned an Internet ongoing problem to him (which I reported to Shaw before) he asked me if I have tried to sign in as the Admin and make some certain changes to the Settings of the Internet. Of course that if I knew how to do that or if I had done it, I would have not asked him, right? So when I told him that I am not sure what he is talking about and to try to explain it to me, he asked me if I have a husband or a guy around...Hmmm, so the bottom line is that in Shaw's books, a man would be a better fit to fix any of my problems (and just to make a point, I did have a husband for 13 years and he had no idea how to turn the computer on, I was actually the one figuring things out). In the end the Technician showed me the steps of what I have to do...

Shaw Communications billing scam

For those who may have temporarily been uanble to keep their Shaw Cable account current - if Shaw Cable "disconnects" you, be aware that they will continue to charge you as if you are receiving full cable services. Apparently you can plug your television directly into the cable outlet & continue to receive full cable service for channels 1-59 as if you were never disconnected & regardless of whether you were aware that you can by-pass their "disconnection". This way Shaw can have its cake & eat it too - disconnect you but still charge you during that time.

It is too bad you work for the Better Business Bureau because that is how my complaint resolved. I made a BBB complaint. BBB sent Shaw a letter and in response, Shaw reversed my charges. There is no government entity that regulates the billing practices of Canada's cable and television providers. There must be a way for you to file a complaint with the BBB even though you work for it!

Make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They helped me resolve it.

we moved into a town house 2 years ago n setup shaw for phone, cable n internet

we have had nothing but problems with the internet n cable since day one. after having tecs to my house n on the phone with tech support, after a year I was told nothing could be done to fix the problem, as they said it was caused other peoples signals.

so I called them again as my internet speed was down to 2. point something, the tech on the phone told me he could fix the problem, if I would pay for internet broad band 50, twenty dollars more he would up me to 100 band free. so stupid me I did what he said, well it put my internet up to about 14, so now we could use it without it taking for ever or freezing up all. so we did this for all most a year, until a tech came to the house to fix our on demand channels that were still freezing up two years, as techs coming to our house n on the phone could not fix the problem, we were offered updated boxes for free. so on December 12, 2013 the tech came changed boxes for us. I told him what was happening with my cable n he said he would check it. low n behold he went to a shaw web page n changed the way the signal comes to my house, wow my internet wifi speed was now at 75, he told me that was a standard thing to check n he couldn't believe no one checked it. so I called shaw tech n spoke to a guy n told him what happened, he agreed to credit me the 200 hundred dollars I spent for the broad band 50, as they were the ones who told me to do this n it would fix my wifi internet along with them putting it up to 100 band for free, but it never worked. so when my new box starting working the my demand was still freezing, so I called shaw n they sent out the same tech from the morning who fixed my internet, make along story short he put around signal thing on the front of the box n this fixed the problem right away n again he couldn't believe no one did this as it is a standard thing to do. so I waited until January 7, 2014 when I got my new bill to call in again about my refund as the first time I called they said they had to email the two techs I talked to find the one who gave me the refund. so I asked to speak to a supervisor well to my surprise he told me I had to pay the 100 hundred dollars it cost for 100 broad band n would only refund me a hundred dollars I was so shocked he would charge me for something that would not n they offered it free, shaw sucks n if there are any class actions law suits going on against them please contact me

By far one of the worst customer service departments I have ever experienced. Apparently even if you can back up your claim, as long as one of their internal reps puts a note on your file - that is gospel. They had record of my call May 29th to cancel my account as they could not provide the services I wanted at my new home so I went with their competitor. The rep stated on my file that I was going to discuss their services with my husband? Interesting...even have the emails from Telus dated the 29th of May showing my new account is set up. What is to discuss? Cleaning up my desk to pack the office today and called all vendors to ensure all accounts are closed since I have been away on business. Shaw Direct clearly did not fulfill my request and expect me to pay for 2 weeks of service when I provided more than 30 days notice. Shameful - I have been a Shaw customer for over 20 years - never again! Perhaps if the CEO of Shaw didn't pay himself a salary of $12.5 million dollars - and spent that money in training his staff better they wouldn't have so many pissed off customers seeking online platforms such as this to vent their frustrations. Moving to rural Alberta? CALL TELUS!

It was a toss up between worst customer service, customer support and product integrity. Our internet acts like a spoiled child behaving (or working at times) and not working at all. We call in and they tell us to trouble shoot for them and none of these things have worked. The tech that we called never showed up. The internet works maybe half the day and we are frequently dealing with people being booted out of the net because it has decided to stop working. The lady today on the phone took the cake fighting with us saying that we have never been offline. THANK YOU! YOU HAVE PROVED MY POINT! If it says it is working there and a hard wire and wireless connections don't work, unplugging as well as power going out and resetting the internet and none of these register I would like to know who they set our internet up to and which house is getting the internet since it isn't ours. The lady fought with me for 37 minutes while I was on my cell phone all of this costing me money as well as the money we lost when the internet decided it wasn't working today. THEN SHE REFUSES TO REIMBURSE OR SEND A TECH it took her going to a manager to decide we had a right to get the services we had been paying for. I plan to let others know how poor their service is contacting friends that work in areas where they speak with 1000's of people a month. No company should be allowed to deliver no service and be paid as if they have been giving us service. Leaving the company just isn't enough!

My son hooked up shaw cable during a promotion 6 months for 19.99 a month the first contact was from me because the service was stopped due to the bill being over 300. That was after just 3 months! my son was concerned about his credit so we paid it . The next bill only two months after that also reached 300plus. I tried to explain that 19.99 a month for 5 months does not reach the 300 dollar range . I heard every bs reason from the technician is from a diff biz to the other channels were sép so all packages were on bill. So we paid then called and asked to have cable disconnected. My son moved. Then a cpl months later my son called saying his credit was shot and y didn't I pay cable. This time it was over 500! They said there was no call to disconnect I asked y it w's left to run up so high and after more bs from them I reminded them they disrupted service when bill was only over 300! Lying crooks! I thought I was dealing with SGI !

The most abysmal customer service and outrageous fee increases have finally driven me to Telus. Also not my first choice but I am at my "ANYONE BUT SHAW" limit. Biggest joke (and slap in the face) is I am able to see all the great deals for American cable on all the overpriced channels from Shaw that I don't want to begin with. C'mon CRTC, time to open up the monopoly these creeps enjoy to some healthy competition. If you have a choice NEVER CHOOSE SHAW.

I have no sound on many of my TV channels. I contacted Shaw Cable and then I am placed on hold for 30 minutes to an hour, plus. They do not return your request for call-backs. When I finally got through, I was told I have to wait 10 days before the next available technician.

I signed up for shaw cable service in 2014 for a friend. When he couldn't pay, I called shaw to cancel, returned the equipments and paid the outstanding balance of $185.84. They ended up not recording the payment and sent me to collections. I talked to them back and forth several times and told them that I paid this balance when I returned the equipments and paid for my shaw bill at the retail store in the mall. They still claimed that I did not pay the bill and are requiring me to pay the balance. Shaw is so rich but behave like slum lords. They are so unprofessional with their documentation/record keeping and scam you off every penny. Now I am stuck with a collection bill and a payment to make. I can't wait for Canada to bring other competing internet/cable providers like they have in the states. These people need to be audited and sent back to accounting school.

Shaw just charged my 94 year old grandmother for over 100 dollars worth of pay per view UFC. Stated that "someone" must have come into her house at 5 pm while she eats dinner and ordered/watched payperview? Really?! I live here with her and I am SURE we would have seen this happening. I have no other cable box so it would have had to have been in the most used area of the house right by the kitchen and dinning room. Not to mention we all find fighting utterly unwatchable. They might have got away with it if it had been a David Attenborough special, but UFC!? No way. HOW DARE THEY. I have not had tv since they screwed my parents around so badly I gave up all cable companies, refusing to pay one more cent to these scammers. I get all my tv from the internet. So we have been calling shaw about this charge. Now there are two people from this family are on the account, but when contacted by people NOT on our account NOT using this phone line shaw happily gave out MY account information without asking for any names or any proof of identity. Luckily these people ARE in my family, but how many people I dont know can just call up and get my info? Is this how people are ordering pay per view?!

I too feel ripped off as a consumer and have lost all respect for Shaw Cable. They always bill me one month ahead and when I asked them about this they said that some customers like to pay ahead. I said to them well some do not, including myself. I asked them if this is illegal to bill ahead, for services ahead of time and their response was that those were their terms. Then they say that because I have not paid for the two months, they cut me off and I had to fight for more time. They even had the nerve to charge me a late charge, for not paying my bill, when the due date was set for the following month. I live in a mobile home park, where the landlord includes Cable as part of my pad fee. Shaw is charging me more for the cable. When I mentioned that I just remembered that the cable is included in my rent, they would only reimburse me 25 dollars, when I had be paying for the bundle package, including the full cable for approx 10months. The customer service experience has been a joke. Thank goodness I only pay by cash, at my banking institution. I have also noticed that my bill keeps climbing with all kinds of charges. Unfortunately, Shaw is the only provider in our area. I am going to the BBB about this. Beware, watch your bill

Shaw Communications stealing modem

Was an on and off customer for a few years (5) as i went to college untill this year i decided to cancel my account like i usually did when i go home from the dorms. This time my modem was labeled as a rental modem, the one I had been using for years and they demanded i return their property.

Talking with customer service it boiled down to "do you have a receipt?" and being a student I don't nessisary keep receipts from 4+ years ago. They informed me there was absolutely nothing that could be done without that peice of paper no mater how improbable it was that i had rented the same modem (Serial Number) for my entire shaw lifetime (never returning it after i'd cancel for the summer before either)it was now a rental.

I am going to have give them my modem that they seem to want so badly or pay 300 dollars... so congratulations shaw you muscled my old modem away from me!

I SIGNED UP ORIGINALLY FROM A FLIER THAT WAS DROPPED IN MY MAIL BOX. I WAS THAN WITH BELL EXPRESS VIEW. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEM SO I WAS READY FOR A CHANGE IN MY SATELLITE SERVICE. I THAN PROCEEDED TO CALL SHAW DIRECT TO ARRANGE FOR THEIR SERVICES, AFTER MY FIRST CALL I MADE 2 MORE EACH TIME MAKING SURE THAT I WOULD ONLY HAVE $49.97 AUTOMATICALLY TAKEN FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT. I NEVER RECIEVED IN THE MAIL OR AN EMAIL ADVISING ME OF ME THE AMOUNT TAKEN FROM BANK ACCOUNT WHICH WAS THE SUM OF $114.00 . I THAN CALLED 3 TIMES ASKING FOR A BILL IN THE MAIL OR AN EMAIL EXPLAINING THE CHARGES, TO NO AVAIL I HAD TO CALL AGAIN DEMANDING ANSWERS AND SOME SERVICE.

Having problems with receivers (only 4 years old). 4th call over 1 hour wait on each one. Three techies have come out, still not fixed. Wait times for tech support are abominable. These people don't understand business. As soon as Wi Fi TV is really here they get the boot after 12 years

I too am being harassed for payment for a service I never had with Shaw Direct. Upon moving from my last address I had the service cancelled. But they claim I had it restarted after 6 months, which I never did. They never sent me a bill, and they don't even have my current address. They have lied saying they sent bills by email, but I've never received a bill, I've never had any connection to SAT TV at my current address and I don't even have a SAT dish. It says right on their bills to call them for reconnection. I've never asked for it and never had it. Now all I get from them is the bill collectors calling for payment. I don't know who these people are... I've tried to call Shaw Direct customer service but all I get from them is abuse and accusations that I am lying. This company should be listed as the worst in Canada. Shame on them for being so ridiculous and rude. IF YOU HAVE YOUR SERVICE CANCELLED GET A CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND THE NAME OF THE PERSON YOU SPOKE WITH TO HAVE THE SERVICE CANCELLED OR THEY WILL NOT BELIEVE YOU AND POSSIBLY TRY TO EXTORT PAYMENT FROM YOU AS THEY ARE TRYING TO DO TO ME.

As I said in my complaint report to the BBB as well as Alberta Government also BC Government SHAW DIRECT is specialized in RIP OFF & Extortion

You have no right to call me for any reason I do not owe you anything but you do.
Make sure have it in writing you have nothing in your hand you can not approve anything. Even the President of RIPP OFF company (Shaw direct) wasn’t able to resolve this issue. I promise you will get nothing from me not even one penny.
I have enough evidence & your stupid flayer to defend myself against your harassment get over it and stop that kind of crime.
Yes it is a crime. to harase people like this.

Stop lying to people you will not win this and I am 100% sure are you? You better focus on some professional Customer service training and to be an honest to people in your business if you have one. Did you hear that easy come easy go. I wouldn’t think so.

Again you will not get one single penny from me because I do not owe you but you owe me one full month of payment. I will make sure to dispute the payment if I can.

Are you really enjoying ripping off and lying to people? You people are unbelievable.

Shaw Communications customer service

So hope that if you use shaw direct you never have problems. I contacted their customer service representive, talk to a person named Rich. I could not belive how rude they were. Whatever they could say to protect themselves. My advice is use someone else. If you do use them make sure you document every contact you have with them.

If you are an invester in shaw stock then you must be looking for a tax writeoff, what idiot company would give their CEO one half million bonus at christmas in these times the stock I predict will hit $10.00 and rightly so . this is proof clowns do runs companies

Shaw totally sucks. They don't know how to support their products properly. I upgraded my receiver from a 530 to a 630 and then found out that the 630 has only one output, instead of two. So, I have no where to plug my another two tv's that where connected to my 530. phoned in and one tech said by a splitter, the other said but a RF modulator and the last tech said that Shaw doesn't support connecting multi tv's to one receiver. Do you know how much time I spend dealing with local stores, and Amazon buying all the connectors and splitters and nothing works and now only to be told that Shaw never supports splitting it's signal. Do I have to buy four receivers from them to power four tv's? Shame on them. Bell here I come.

Shaw really sucks big time. Had issues with their new receivers that I paid top dollar for that had hard drive problems. On my second set of receivers, (630 & 830). The PVR skips at times. Tech came over to install the new ones, that Shaw mailed to me in brown boxes. Don't except PVR's from Shaw in brown boxes. They have been used in the USA first for three years then send to us in Canada, rebuilt here, and then sold as new ones. Meanwhile, the tech had brand new ones in his truck, that come in blue boxes. New is only blue.He said the new ones are for initial installations only Then they cancelled me, without proper warning, because the PVR's, that I sent back were sitting in their warehouse, but they were not notified that they had them, and not me. When I complained about no notice of cancellation, they said it was automatic. Now isn't that wonderful customer service? We are so done with Shaw and all the drama that they create with their excuses and they have no compassion for what their customers go through just dealing with their hopeless crap. Bell here we come. They can't be any worse than Shaw. No stars for them

We got Shaw Direct when we moved up to St. Joseph Island, ON. Overall it's pretty good but I'm not happy at all with the fact that our package included a PVR with it and we didn't get it. The guy that set things up didn't give us one because we can't have another line put in. Then I found out people all around us have a PVR. They can't record and watch another channel at the same time but they can still set it up to record when they're away. I called Shaw Direct and told them this and they were more then happy to sell me a PVR. Why the heck should I pay for something that I was suppose to get in the first place? When I told them this they then offered to sell it to me for half price. No way am I paying for something I'm suppose to have! It's not like I'm trying to keep the box that I got stuck with and the PVR. I'm more than happy to return that to them. But there's no way to get this through to them. They just can't get it into their heads that the PVR is included with my package. I've finally given up trying to talk to them. It just gets me mad and accomplishes NOTHING!

Shaw seem to be very good at giving themselves raises every year, every time I get a small raise on my pension, Shaw takes the whole thing. Another thing is they bill for the up coming month right on the same day as the previous month is due. Unfortunately they are the only TV/ Internet provider available in my area. They are a terrible greedy company !

My family and I have only had Shaw Direct for 6 months. We have only a 50% signal. Most stations we want to watch won't come in. This is definitely not worth $90.30 per month. If we only get 50%, then we should only be paying half of what they charge. Wish we had Direct TV like the Americans do.

TERRIBLE company-lots of bad ones but this one takes the cake...I asked them to stop my services, and they relentlessly sent me bills-NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR use this company-they are horrendous scammmmmers

I am absolutely livid with this rip off of a company. I called in on May 29th to close my account - the rep put a note on my file that said I wanted to discuss with my husband - 100% BS. Today I find out that they are billing me until the 11th of July. So they are going to saok me for an extra 2 weeks of service that I will not be using.

Shaw Communications hidden disclaimers

Shaw Direct salesman sold me a Ontario value package with a beutifull well designed brochure he swore we would get 150 channels and his brochure stipulated there where 34 HD channels at no extra cost I took the time to confirm with the sales agent ( Arun ) that this was infact correct after installing this dish I could only access very few channels and only 12 HD channels that where pretty much useless when I tried contacting the salesman he did not answer his cell phone I then contacted Shaw Direct and they made out like they did not know what I was talking about then pointed out the on the reverse side of the brochure convenientlly hidden in a coloured stripe so small that I could not read it even with my prescription glasses that you must suscribe to other packages in order to get these HD channels even though it indicates clearly on the brochure that there are 50 + HD channels and that 34 of them are absolutelly at no extra cost. I proceeded to try to cancel my package and was met with some resistance and a huge shuffle to other agents for a painfully long wait times where I was constantly asked to wait a few days to speak to the direct sales agent they finally got him to answer his phone and he lied saying that he had warned me of this which was actually the opposit of what he did he instead tried to hand me a different brochure that was clearer there was a catch and tried to rush me through the sign up process always leading me to believe I would receive the complete package advertised on the initial brochure very deceiving campaing there should be a law against this sort of thing the brochure was definnatelly desingned in such a way as to decieve everyone and there is no doubt in my mind that this salesman new exactly what he was doing.

Shaw Communications poor service

I have moved itto my apt 4 months ago. I had cable phone and internet hooked up. I waited two weeks to get it hooked up. My phone never worked. They came back in twice. They finly got it to work. Then there was a problem with something eles. When I phoned them they set up an appointment to come in and fix it. I phoned them back two days before they were to come in to see if I had to be there. I was told that there was no appointment set up. I was pissed the lady at the desk went out of here way to deel with the proublem, that was delt with. Now again I have a proublm with my cable. It is now july 30 and they can not fix it on another service call on the 15th of aug

Shaw Communications constant fee increases

I am sick and tired of the constant increases in our tel/cable/internet bill from Shaw. We just had another increase in May 2009, and the current bill I received in July indicates another increase of $5 with the usual notation "Shaw is committed to improve our quality and service". In reality, all they do is collect your money and provide you with the same lousy bundle of tv shows - 120 channels of crap shows and may be 5 good channels of interesting shows. When questioned I was told that it is a requirement by CRTC to feature Canadian contents, which when cross checking found to be a hoax. When I phoned their customer service, and asked why they keep raising the fees and providing nothing in return, and what about the excuse of Shaw is committed to improve the quality and services with each increase and provide no such thing to the consumer. Why are they charging us extra so frequently but returningno additional services. The person at the customer service (after on hold for 20 minutes - because 'we are busy helping others '- recording) said "I really don't know why they are increasing the fees and providing no extras in return" Bingo! My sentiment exactly!

Shaw's greed must stop. They should let the consumer choose what they want to watch and charge them for those channels. Not forcing to buy a bundles of 8 to 22 channels to enjoy one or 2 channel. When you go to a restaurant you pay for what you order and eat. If they charge you everything on the menu regardless what they order, they will sure go out of business.

The competition Bureau is very much on the alert in this matter and hope they will do something to put a leash on Shaw's greed.

Shaw cable is raising there prices again on my bill by $16 now they want me to pay $200 for there services. It is time for the government to step in and start regulating the greed of all these big telecommunication companies. I will have to pay more for TV then to heat my home or have power are you kidding me.

Shaw Communications poor attitudes & poor service

We have the most expensive monthly package that you could possibly purchase from Shaw TV and yet we can not record most of their movies to watch later as they have a 'code' preventing you from recording. Even though we are 'purchasing' these movies every single month we can not watch them as they are on at 3 in the afternoon or 3 in the morning and so we try and record them to watch at our leisure but Shaw forbids this!

Now get this, we CAN record them if we purchase a recorder from Shaw for $750.00 that is good for nothing but recording their movies! What a pile of crap, they tell us they are copyright protected by someone else and that is why we can't record them with our own recorder but we can record them if we pay another $750.00 to purchase their recorder!

Does this not smell like a monopoly to you? Does this not smell like the beginning of a class action lawsuit against Shaw TV to you?

Why on earth would you defend a company that doesn't give a rats ### about anything but money. You talk as if this company cares about you defending their business when we all know that in Calgary money talks and if you don't have enough money then you don't have enough friends because this city is so shallow in thought and more stupid when it comes to building anything worth going to see.Have you seen the Calgary Zoo? It's a big joke and whithin one hour you could walk through everything they have there and left looking for something to do. Please stop trying to sound so defensive unless your willing to shut up and take some constructive critisism. because the rest of Canada has is having a party while the people in Calgary are working to hard to keep up with the selfish a-holes that think of nothing but money and profit.

Shaw has nothing to do with this. these "codes" are set by the TV broadcasters. I am guessing you are trying to record on a Media Centre PC, or something similiar? I experiance the same thing with my Media Centre PC. I am able to record Shaw's channels using other 3rd party pvr software. Most of which are free to download. I can't using Microsoft's media centre software.

I also subscirbe to Shaw's most expensive package and have no problems recording anything. BTW< Shaw's HD PVR is only $398.00. This was the price I paid back in November.

It is funny how people love to blast companies when they know nothing about the actual problem they are having. Maybe a little research would have cleared this up for you.

Shaw Communications overbilling

On the 29/09/08 I was having difficulties with an attack on my system and was attempting to download a free spyware as directed by my provider SHAW Canada. I ended up in a purchase site and thought I was buying a contact for $39 for 3 years and when the bill came through later it was $69.14US. As it turned out the program never downloaded so not only did I get overcharged but I got no product.

Shaw Communications hacker attempts!

I am sick and tired of all of the repeated attempts by users of shawcable.net to access ports on my computer. I am on the internet every day. When I check my firewall log, there has been at least 50 attempts by computers with Shaw Cable IP addresses. Shaw needs to crack down on this. They also make it hard to contact them if your are not actually one of their customers!

Over all lack of regulation. Turn on commercial...program broke out ! Paying dearly for something I don't want...ELECTRONIC WATERBOARDING ?

I keep getting annoying pop-up surveys when I am online and loose everything when I try to remove the survey. I am sick and tired of these pop-ups and considering switching to Telus.

Less than 2 weeks ago, I contacted Shaw and I was offered lower price if I sign 2 years contract and everything will remain the same as for the channels. I have lost channel 121, 529, 530. This is scam. Since I only signed the contract less than a month ago, I would like to either cancel my contract or add the missing channels back in.

I just made 145 dollar payment to shaw on March 20 2018 the next day I got a disconnect notice now I know why shaw customers are leaving shaw to go to another company

signed up for $60 a month service, but the bill has always been nearly $100 a month. today I came home to no service. they'd suspended me with no notice. and refused to turn it on after I made an online payment through my bank, until they receive the money into their account. huh? call back in a couple of business days?

My firewall software picks up hackers from many different internet providers. I am not sure why you think this is strictly a problem with Shaw. How can someone hacking into your computer physically destroy it? Maybe you are having problems with your operating system but I know for a fact no hacker in the world is destroying the physical components of your computer. Simply reinstall your operating systems if you are having issues with it.

Also as mentioned by someone else but is something you seem to be missing is that Shaw isn't the police. They provide internet services and aren't in the business of tracking down hackers. Your comments here are counter productive.

It is a common misconception that hackers are after the data on your
computer. Hackers are only interested in destroying your computer
or useing your computer to destroy someone elses computer as part
of a botnet.
Shaw Cable could stop hackers with an automated system
that detects users runing a port scan or a denial of service attack or
by limiting the use of the ICMP protocal and ports zero through 1024.

However, Shaw Cable does not use these simple precautions against
hackers like other internet service providers do.
