Renewal by AndersenThey refused, when I asked that I wanted to help

I have no idea how the hell it has happened, but the company Renewal by Andersen has lost my large order. It was really big and they somehow lost it. And after couple of days they continued to tell me that they haven’t found it and blah-blah. They don’t care about the customers and their problems. I wanted to help, but the rep almost immediately stopped me and told that they didn’t care anything from me.

Renewal by AndersenDo not work here

When I was hired at RBA (Renewal By Andersen or Southard Corp) I was told a portion of my commission would be put into an account also known as a black book. I was also told (along with a few other sales employees) that at any point in time the funds in this black book could be requested and withdrawn. After I was terminated by voice mail I found out the only way this black book money can be withdrawn is either by claiming mileage or by termination. Needless to say I haven't worked there since the 1st week in June and guess what... no check yet. (I wonder who collects the interest on the black book account?) continuing on...

After working for RBA and going through countless gallons of gas (that would not be reimbursed) while going out on non-screened leads, trying to sell someone 10 windows for $19, 000 or more depending on the window. When I wasn't meeting the monthly quota for one month my "tools" or my leads were taken away from me. It seems as if they wanted to get rid of me before the 90 day probationary period ended so it would be impossible to claim unemployment.

Going out on my last lead (which was a lead that was going to be canceled) myself and a co-worker spent four hours in the home to close the sale. I was told I didn't sale the door properly and needed to mark up the price 5 to 6 times. I was informed of this after I had already returned to the home 2 too 3 times on my own time to fix small words or use a different color ink on the paperwork and re-writing all the paperwork at least two times. I never knew anything about marking the door up from retail price of $830.00 to commission price of $3000.00 it wasnt in the price book nor was it in my training. It was not noted anywhere in the pricing book that was given to me, So now I'm told my co-worker and I lost our $800.00 commission. Later I found out after a meeting that we may get $250.00 a piece. Needless to say 6 weeks later and after a sale when I checked to see if my payroll was there, the paperwork cannot be found. How convenient.

As for the consumer, if employees are treated this way well ... you can fill in the blanks.

Renewal by AndersenBad customer service comes from the top

After catching the salesman in a lie (shocking, I know), and lack of confidence in their contractor who came to my home smelling like whiskey, I was actually sent an email where the owner Mike Watson at Renewal by Andersen of Greater Philadelphia insulted me personally. Nice business you got going there.

after being promised by the owners and the salesman of Renewal by Anderson Houston/Tomball, Texas that all of the contractors are screened through a rigorous background check and that they do NOT hire felons of any kind, I was shocked by the fact that the contractor was indeed a felon, of multiple charges. When confronted by findings they had the audacity to tell me that my information was wrong. If you plan on buying from Renewal by Anderson of Houston/Tomball Texas be prepared to have felons working in your home!!

I am just starting my window shopping and I'm not one to post things on sites whoever, window man, you are not doing shoppers like me a service. You obviously have a grudge or you work for a competing window company. All I gather from this site is that you hate renewal by andersen and you are not a consumer looking for windows or someone who has purchased windows like the rest of us, which is obvious as you post about dealers in kansan, colorodo, ny, maryland etc. you could not have possibly done business with all those dealers.

I appreciate your gusto but you are making it harder for me to learn from real customers with real experiences and that's what I want to read. Start a blog, go to anger management (kidding) or something, I'm sure you have good intentions but your posts are not relevant to real shoppers.

For what it is worth, here are my experiences window shopping so far: I called renewal by andersen and I agree with others, they are very high pressure but that did not bother me as you really can't pressure me into doing something I don't want to do (just ask my husband :)) . I likes some of what they had to say and I'm putting them in the running. I have friends that have andersen windows and they have had no issues. That's what I'm lokking for, I am not expecting to "love" my windows, I want to have them installed and never have to think about them again.

I'll try to remember to keep posting my experiences and who I choose as well as the final outcome so others can read a real customer experience.

HavanaBrian my "facts are straight". The Woodwright is a wood frame window claded on the exterior with fibrex. It is made by RBA to be sold in the Andersen (main company) distribution network. The RBA franchise window is all fibrex that is sold by the privately owned franchises located in the country. It seems you have no idea about how these windows are made and marketed. I suggest you google Andersen and/or go to your nearest Home Depot and pick up a brochure that is available to anyone who wants to educate themselves. I do not love it when the ignorant "speak", however, I am available to help those who truly want to know the truth! In conclusion, "thermal poymer" is PVC (vinyl) and wood is sawdust waste from the manufacturing of Andersen 200 & 400 windows. These two products are combined to make fibrex. RBA also makes certain parts (railings etc) for Trex, the patio decking company.

Windowman, I love when the ignorant speak. Fibrex is a composite material 40% wood 60% thermal polymer. Similar to composite decking. If your going to bash someone at least have you facts straight. Seems you left the window open and your credibility just flew out.

You can get Andersen replacement windows in thousands of retail outlets. Renewal by Andersen is a franchise system that "sells" territories to privately owned companies. These companies sell windows that are made by RBA. RBA also makes The Woodwright replacement window that is sold in all of the Andersen retail outlets (Home Depot ertc). The difference beween them is that the franchise is all Fibrex (vinyl) and The Woodwright is a wood window claded with Fibrex. The franchise window is twice as expensive as The Woodwright eventhough it is solid vinyl
Anyone can uinstall The Woodwright while the franchise one must be installed by the franchise. RBA franchises are notorious for high pressure selling. The originator of this complaint (Window Woman) is, in fact, a RBA sales rep masqurading as a potential customer. I implore all to stay away from RBA franchises and give your buasiness to someone else.

Hi, Just want to share with you my experience with Renewal by Andersen. My house was build in1973 - and has Andersen windows. They are good, but after all that years they need to be replaced. When I started to look for new windows - I wanted to get Andersen's windows and we got it from Renewal by Andersen. But, just in case we started in 3 places - kitchen, living room and slide door to porch. They got installed it on January 19, 2 week later - window in leaving room and slide door started to leak. I don't want to make my story too long and describe all conversation with them - but the end of the story - we found another constructor - and when he opened dry wall over the window - he found that installation was done wrong and if we will wait a half more year - the window would be broken. I will never recommend to anybody dial with Renewal by Andersen, but I like Andersen windows anyway.
