SmartTech Window and Doors After waitin' for over 3 months, our window and door finally got installed today

After waitin' for over 3 months, our window and door finally got installed today. We had asked for a 36 inch door, but they went ahead and put in a 34 inch one instead. And let me tell ya, the big bow window they installed with the wider brick mold don't even cover the same area as the old one. Now we gotta go through the hassle of sandin' the drywall and paintin' around the whole window. The guy who estimated the job, Alex, is demandin' full payment, but we ain't gonna pay up when we ain't got the door we actually ordered. They ain't willin' to wait 'til they fix their mistake, but we ain't gonna hand over our hard-earned cash 'til we get what we asked for! It's mighty frustratin', I tell ya.

SmartTech Window and Doors In March , we got two big windows replaced by SmartTech Window and Doors Inc

In March , we got two big windows replaced by SmartTech Window and Doors Inc. However, we noticed a noticeable scratch on one of the panes after the installation. We reached out to the salesman, Alex, and he came back to inspect the window. He told us that it was too cold to replace the pane at that time. We tried calling and texting him multiple times, but we haven't received any response. During one of our calls, he mentioned that they had the replacement pane in stock and he would contact the installation department to proceed. We left several messages at the office, but only got a response saying that the manager would get in touch with us. Unfortunately, the outdoor workers accidentally dirtied our carpet with their muddy boots when they came inside to warm up.

SmartTech Window and Doors On May 24, 2022, Andrew came and we placed an order with SmartTech Window and Doors Inc

On May 24, 2022, Andrew came and we placed an order with SmartTech Window and Doors Inc. We sent the deposit on June 29/22. Sergio came to measure and signed the installation date for August 15/22. I tried to contact Andrew on August 13, 27, and 30, but he didn't answer his phone or respond on their website. On August 30, I sent a cancellation through text and mail, but received no response. On October 28th, Sergio called and said they were ready to install, but I refused due to the lack of communication and the missed installation date. Andrew called and claimed he didn't receive anything, but I informed him of my right to cancel. He then called me three times after I told him to stop. Suddenly, he started receiving my text messages! Now, he has threatened legal action. In response, we sent another letter of cancellation, this time registered. According to Section 13 of the contract, if we didn't receive the goods within 30 days of the stated date, we have the right to cancel within one year of the contract date. We are continually disappointed with this business and their failure to conduct proper business.

SmartTech Window and Doors The doors were installed on July 22, and they come with a lifetime warranty

The doors were installed on July 22, and they come with a lifetime warranty. However, due to the weather and drought, my summer house shifted, causing the doors to have difficulty opening. I called the Smart Tech office multiple times, and after 15 attempts, I finally received a response. They told me to contact the sales guy, Alex, who then sent a technician out on August 7th to fix the issue.

Unfortunately, the technician caused some damage while removing the frame to make adjustments. Additionally, his attempt to cover up the damage with patchwork resulted in cracking my door. I sent pictures of the damage to Alex, and he promptly sent Sergei, the supervisor, to assess the situation. Sergei was shocked by the extent of the damage caused by the technician. He suggested hiding the damage by placing a bigger plate over it and also mentioned that the back door frame needed to be replaced.

I informed Sergei that I wanted a new front door and the frame to be replaced as well, due to the damage caused by the technician. Alex mentioned that the replacement of the back door frame was approved, but the front door needed further approval. However, I didn't receive any response for several days. Eventually, the manager called and informed me that if I wanted the repair to be done, it would only be a temporary fix, and my warranty would no longer be valid. This was the only option available to me.

Overall, I am disappointed with the service provided by SmartTech Window and Doors Inc. The damage caused by their technician was significant, and the resolution offered was not satisfactory.

SmartTech Window and Doors We ordered our windows on August 30 from sales rep Andrew ***

We ordered our windows on August 30 from sales rep Andrew ***. They were installed in early March. One window section in the living room bow window had a crack during installation. At first, it was small, but in 2 days, it spread across the entire window. They knew about the crack and took pictures, promising to order a replacement right away. When they installed the trim, I noticed that it wasn't the trim we had ordered for the living room window. They said the manufacturer had sent the wrong window casing and that the correct one would need to be ordered. We contacted them and sent a picture later when we were able to clean the windows. We discovered a smudge between the panes in the opener of the kitchen window on April 20th. I called Andrew about the windows and found out they had ordered the wrong living room window and claimed they didn't know about the kitchen window. On June 10th, I made 2 calls because no one would call back and update us on the situation. They said the windows and trim would be installed on June 23rd, but at noon on that day, the installer called to say the trims were not in. They did offer to install the windows, but I preferred to have everything done in one visit. The installer called again and said that everything was in and that they could install on July 14th or possibly July 11th. So, with the parts finally in, the install date arrived on July 12th, but customer service called and said the parts were not in. It would have to be postponed again to July 22nd, which is not a good day for me. I called Andrew on the 13th, but he had no answers for me regarding what was happening, claiming that all the trims and casing were standard products. He stated that they are just the middlemen and have no control. I would like help resolving this issue as it has gone on for way too long for a simple correction of a mistake and warranty work. It has been 6 months since the initial installation, and it is still not yet completed. All we have received are excuses about parts being sent wrong and not being in yet. This is totally unacceptable.

SmartTech Window and Doors I want to complain about Smarttech windows and doors, they're at 644 Erin St

I want to complain about Smarttech windows and doors, they're at 644 Erin St. in Winnipeg, [protected]. I've been trying to get in touch with them through phone and email, but they haven't fixed the doors properly. They installed the doors and windows in Aug? 2021 and I first called them on November 9/21, leaving a message on voicemail. I called again on Nov.10/21. Salesman Alex called me back twice and said someone would come to fix it on Sat. Nov.13/21 or Monday Nov.15/21. No one showed up. I called again on Dec.6/21 and left another message for Alex. Another call on Dec.8/21 and he said he didn't get the message. Then he said a supervisor would come on Tues. Dec.14/21 between 8-9 am. They didn't show up, so I called again at 10.30am and left a message. I called a few hours later at 1pm and left another message. I called again on Dec.15/21 and left another message. Finally, I called Head Office on Dec.20/21 and left a message. I called Head Office again on Dec.22/21 and left another message. Finally, Alex returned my call saying Head Office contacted him. He also said he sent someone to fix the doors, but that didn't happen and he said he would call me back after checking. He called back and said someone would come tomorrow at 9am to fix it. On Dec.23/21, someone came to adjust the striker plates on the frame. On March 28/22, I had to call Alex again because the door wasn't closing or locking properly. He said someone named Sergi would call me back and come to fix it. On April 12/22, I called Alex again about this problem and he said we didn't talk on Mar.28/22. I told him we did and Sergi came to look at it. Now Alex says he will send info to Head Office and they will call me back. Nothing... I called Head Office on April 22/22, left a message. Alex called back a few minutes later and asked who I was and questioned why Head Office didn't contact me. I told him they didn't, neither did he. He said he will call Head Office and call me back. April 26/22, I called Head Office again, left a message. Alex called back later and said it takes a couple of days to hear from them to send a supervisor. I asked if anyone ever answers the phone at Head Office for customer service, he said he will send me the email *** He also said the repair guy came a couple of times and doesn't know what else can be done. I told him again about not being able to use the back door as it shifted and became useless for over a month. We can't have a door that doesn't work in the winter time... it finally opened on April 25/22. When Sergi came to check the door last time, he saw that it wasn't usable and caused cracked drywall, he just took a picture to send to Alex and Head Office. There's been a lot of wasted time with phone tag, weather conditions, and the holidays.
