Sales Rep: On 10 Oct 2008, I ordered a "Studio 1535" laptop from Dell.
Sales Rep: Ronald C. DeCastro us_dhs_chat_reply@dell.com [They refuse to respond to emails]
[protected] [Routed To El Salvador!]

Having found it locally two days later for a cheaper price, I called to cancel the order [since Dell stated that it could take up to 30 days [!] for delivery. Point: Dell's return policy requires that customers return items within 3 weeks [down from 4 weeks as previously required]

BUT the 3 week clock BEGINS AT THE MOMENT DELL RECEIVES THE ORDER, NOT FROM WHEN THE CUSTOMER SIGNS FOR IT AT THEIR DOOR. Therefore, it could easily take longer to deliver the item and negate the return period before the customer is allowed to return the item!

When I called to cancel the order, I was told that I must wait until delivery to arrive and then call to request an RMA number for a return. Once again, I am in jeopardy of missing the 3 week deadline! Luckily, the box arrived on the 16th of October.

When I called Dell for the RMA number, I was informed that there would be a "Restocking Fee" of $135.00 [15% of the $900.80 purchase price].! Even though the box had NOT been opened or damaged the "Return Specialist" [Oh, brother!] stated that the laptop could not then be resold as "new".

Be serious! We all know that they WILL resell it as new. He said that it couldn't be resold as new because the computer had been "personalize" for me.

WRONG!

I ordered NO additional software or optional equipment.

Obviously, Dell is losing money and is trying feverishly to recoup any money possible. Clearly their lost revenue is due, in part, to their UNBELIEVABLY lousy customer service.

I took my boat in for a 200 hour service and told it would take one week. I am now still waiting 3 weeks later. I am pissed...! do not use Paradise Marine Center, Gulf Shores Ala.

I think if you tell a customer that one week is all you will wait... I believe it should be a week and not 3 weeks. I am still waiting for it and I am getting very mad and want to tell everyone I can about them so you do not get scammed by them as well.
I canceled out my club membership and my debit card is continuing to be charged for services I no longer receive. The accounts were frozen and canceled in March, I have not visited the club since then. I was charged for training and club membership freeze. Now in October I was charged $85.37 from my debit card. I visited the club and was told my account is active, but frozen for membership, open for training. I would like to cancel my membership and my money refunded for October 2008. Please help me to not be charged anymore money from my bank account.

I made a deposit to my bank account. At the time of the deposit I already a positive balance. I then made three purchases. Despite my deposit, which come to find out was 41 minutes after the deposit time (for my money to post as available), the bank charged me three separate charges. Beyond the irritating fact that I was unaware of their little deposit time rule, my favorite factor is that they take the highest amount that I spent... put my account overdrawn, then proceeded to take out the other two amounts plus charges.

When I called to appeal to their customer service department... they offered me no help. Thanks Bank of America.

I have been having a continue of dozens of calls everyday calls about an electric bill that I don't even have. I have explained to them I am not going to pay them and talked to the electric company about this problem and they tell me not worry we are not responsible for someone else's bill. But they keep calling without fail no matter what you say to them. After about a few minutes they call again. They are ###s... Then they try to get you back on the phone to ask the same question again you spoke to them about a few minutes ago. No matter what you say to them they still ignore anything you say to them. It seems like they call you just to piss you off. They even at times laugh at you while you are talking to them. Do they have a betting game on how many people they can piss off everyday? Its like they don't hear what you are saying to them at all!

I went through about the same thing with a Sears lawnmower. It just happened to be a "lemon" and I made complaints, took it back 4 times for repairs. It never did work. I complained to several managers, too. Even the district manager and their main office. It was under warranty when I first took it in but after 12 weeks of back and forth to the repair shop, the shop wanted to charge me. I said it was under warranty when I first brought it in for repairs. It had not been repaired. The store manager called the main office and he looked up on his computer and saw how things had gone. Not only that, I lived in a small town and I had to drive 45 miles each way to a Sears repair shop. The lawnmower was never repaired, they would not replace it, and I ended up with a credit card bill for a product that never worked. By then the grass was so high I had to hire someone to come and mow it. Another expense. He continued to do the lawn care until I moved.
Don't do business with them... PERIOD! After you try to clarify your order because they send you some b-s email saying to call then...you get transferred to (lack-o) management named Bruce... hang up quick before the insults start and he starts saying f-you and f-that... tells you have no idea what you are talking about ect. I told him my wife is a professional photographer (which she is..) and I was buying her this lens for a birthday present - and he said: 'Your wife is f-ing stupid and has no idea what she wants...' Customer service - WOW!

When TV service ceased to work properly, Direct TV replaced a unit determined on the phone to be defective. The replacement box was shipped with no indication of add-on charges. System failed to work with new box. A subsequent service call by a service rep determined unit was not defective. After service rep rewired the setup, the original box determined to be OK. The Service rep told me "keep the box". When I moved to complex that did not permit dishes, in spite of the fact that replacement box returned to Direct TV, Direct TV charged me a $400 cancellation fee. Multiple calls and explanations did not prove helpful. It appears that they routinely ship new boxes to assure continued billing.

Going to start by saying I am a lowes shopper no more, especially the one in rock hill, sc. Even tho I know for a fact that you can back anything to this store and they will either give you cash or a card, but when it comes to knowledge of anything in the store they do not compare to home depot. Home depot will be were I shop at now, I am leaving lowes and their incompetent staff, from manager down to whomever. I cannot take being ignored anymore and rock hill lowes is good about that. I am not the only one. What is up?

I have received two letters from them stating that they have looked into my credit, and because I am having an issue with a credit card that has nothing to do with them. They are lowering my credit limit. The first one pissed me off but it was a card I hadn't used in years. I wrote them a letter of complaint then let it go. Then I received another letter yesterday concerning a card that I do use. They lowered my credit limit which will now put me over the limit. I feel they should pay the fees.

Don't order from this company, as they have good marketing, however once you give your credit card they charge you whenever they want and how much they want. They promise free sample, but this is to get your commitment (in small letters and in words, not numbers) so you don't pay attention. There is no free sample like you think, you get monthly supply right away and you pay for everything. So it is a commitment for 60 bags - 1 package every month, be careful, there are no free gifts from this company, watch your credit card for the charges.
Shell Vacation Club is a rip off! I wish I would have never set foot in their office! I am now paying 15K for a "point system" that allows you to go to their barely acceptable time share locations. They throw around a book full of beautiful photos of resorts and do not tell you the extra cost involved. They are dishonest liars DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR SALES PITCH! You are much better off paying the normal fees for decent hotels. I am now spending so much money and I have no way out! Shell Vacation Club is a bunch of money making liars!

I waited in line for over 30 minutes at the Miramichi NB McDonalds, and still never got my order taken, and when I finally gave up, over 20 people walked out before me, and after I left many followed. Needless to say my 3 children were very upset, because they wanted McDonalds, but luckily there was a Burger King near by. For any business to look negatively upon any comments would be ashame, because this establishment has over 30 to 40 people walking out within 5 minutes because of bad service. Do not know whether it was because of bad training, or bad management control, or the inability to multitask, but it is definitely the problem of management and the ownership of the franchise. It shouldn't take longer than 10 to 15 minutes to take someones order, over 30 and the staff standing there laughing about problems is not an excuse.

Bank of America provides zero customer service or help of any kind to long term customers with accounts in good standing. While attempting to deposit my payroll check at a BofA ATM machine, the machine took my card and wouldn't give it back. I couldn't make my deposit either. I called the BofA toll free number. All I got was excuses and patronizing lip service. They refused, despite my specific request, to send a bank employee to my location to retrieve my debit card from the machine. That was "against their policy". A manager I asked for then told me the same thing and refused to help in any way.

People beware! If you use Bank of America, you are on your own if you encounter any problems like this. They will NOT help you in any way. They will do nothing whatsoever for you.
My friend and I saw a Shell Vacation presentation in San Francisco on Oct 17, 2008. During the presentation I pointed out to the salesman that one of the drawbacks of purchasing was that there was risk involved. Rami (the salesrep) said, " I guarantee that you will not loose and that if you buy your will gain." Guess what folks... they legally (and ethically) CAN'T say those things. When I pointed it out to the Finance Rep at the end of the presentation, he didn't seem too concerned even though I made it clear that the context of his comments were in direct response to my comments on the risk related to purchasing real estate, and that those comments are illegal. These guys are slimy!
Never shows up. three times this month, failed to show up. This was same result in Spring when I first switched to Verizon. What a mistake! The company's record of not answering phones, lying to customers, and sucky performance shows why they should be fined by the US Attorney General, and Consumer Affairs. Unfortunately, they heavily contribute in NJ to the Democratic party. They need not perform and pretty much set rates as they please. No one is minding the store and the Corporate offices do not reply to repeated calls for assistance. There seems to be no one that cares here and anyone that is considering their service should beware of what they are in for.

Yesterday, while minding my own business, in my own home, my phone rings and its Allied Interstate calling. 'Please hold, we are not solicitors' I should have hung up right then and there. But curiosity got the best of me. When someone finally came on the line, I was informed I had an outstanding debt from 1988! In my maiden name... I've been married for 14 years and the debt is over 20 years old! And I thought they were calling about a high school reunion or something like that... boy was I wrong!

Duh... that's 20 years old and I filed bankruptcy shortly after that. The college dropout went on to say that it doesn't matter... yada, yada, yada... 'I'm not harassing you' 'you're mad at the wrong person' I kept saying that this was 20years old, I filed bankruptcy, if this debt was mine, it would have been included in this judgment. They finally told me what the debt was and the amount... less than $700.00 --I said, 'you're harassing me for a loan that is 20 years old and less than $700.00?' I guess he got tired of me because he told me that he 'didn't have to put up with me' and transfered me to supervisor. Again, I should have hung up, but my pride got the better of me. I explained to her that 20+ years ago someone has stolen my SS# and this debt was 20 years old, I filed bankruptcy etc. Then SHE called me combative... yes after calling me and harassing me with a 20 year old debt that I'm not even sure is mine because someone stole my identity way back then, you can imagine I was a little upset. I was stupid... she confirmed my address so I expect that I'll be getting something in the mail from them... of course it will be in my maiden name and as far as I'm concerned my future answer will be, 'there is no one at this address/number by that name' I've already called my attorney and they are sending a letter stating that this is well past the statute of limitations (TN's statutes are 6 years-- I'd say over 3 times the statutes is well long enough!) Furthermore, I'd imagine that the phone company can be contacted if they continue calling and harassing me. I will also be looking at contacting my attorney general and the BBB. Doubt it will help, but this company is unethical and a bigtime SCAM ARTIST--they must be stopped!
Alltel is unwilling to help put a stop to identity theft. It seems as if it is a common practice for criminals to use your stolen credit and bank card information to replenish prepaid Alltel accounts. This happened to my husband after he used his card at an Outback restaurant in our area. He phoned the Alltel customer service number and the rep confirmed that the card was used with their company, but he would need to take that up with his bank. While reporting the incident to the bank the teller told him that this was an ongoing problem with Alltel. She said she has personally spoken with Alltel representatives, and they feel as if it is not their problem. How is the bank or the consumer going to stop this action if Alltel will not cooperate and disclose the information on the crooks that are doing this. I am currently an Alltel customer and it is really disheartening to know that I am affiliated with a company that sides with the thieves.

This evening I received a phone call from Allied Interstate about an alleged debt that I know nothing about, nor have I received a letter from this company until this phone call. When I asked for information on this alleged debt the gentleman gave me the run around, as did his supervisor who thought I was threatening him by asking for information of alleged debt to be mailed to me for verification which is my right.

Tomorrow I will send a debt verification letter to them and see what i get, if anything. Has anyone else dealt with them before?

I wish i had researched on the net abt this company. Total rip off someone should do something abt it. False advertising. They never mentioned p&h would come up to 73.70 which is more than double the product's worth. I tried to cancel the order 4 days after order was put in. They kept telling me order not received. When it was received they told me immediately it was already shipped.

Someone should look into this method of ripping people off. Why are they still allowed to sell this product? they are just big scammers.

Hope the people who work for them can sleep at night!

I had a credit card out with Bank of America for over 2 1/2 years now and never missed any payments, I had a good credit history, paying off the credit card at the end of the month. I mailed my payment prior to the due date but it was not posted until one day after the due date and I was charge $39.00 finance charge. I called to get it credited and the Customer Service Manager stated that due to their policy they cannot refund the total amount because I was late. I told him that the payment was mailed on time, but they posted it one day later, he stated it is not the banks fault that the postal service is late delivering the mail they have their policies and must charge the late fee. This is very disappointing the same incident happened with USAA, but they credited the late charge because they realized the postal service problems and the check was posted one day late on their files, but the late fee was credited. I support 100% USAA they are customer friendly and work with the public.
Ok so we have had our furniture for 3 years now. I have had to call for service 5 times so far on our sofa, cuddle seat and our bed. This last time that someone came out was for the fact that the microfiber is starting to peel off the sofa. Well they cant fix it because of the fabric that it is.

Over the last year we have been having problems with our bed. The delivery people are worthless and never put the bed together the right way, so over the 1st year the bed was getting damaged. So I called and they came out and put some metal things on my wooden frame. Okay that lasted awhile. Now the frame makes some much noise that even when my 42 lb 4 year climbs on the bed it makes noise. It can actually wake you up at night when my husband or I even move. We have had the bed for 3 years and there is nothing else they can do for us, since they already came out once to fix the problem.

So needless to say we got what we paid for.
