Customer Service _ PNP CLOTHING LA LUCIA
Good Morning
My name is Rochelle Naicker and it saddens me even as I write this
complaint. I am a loyal customer of the PnP clothing brand due to my
place of residence and work the La Lucia Branch is more than
convenient.
However after what has happened to me over the 2 days I visited the
store, I will not be shopping at the branch any longer.
On the 28th July 21, I experienced the most shocking display of
customer service by your teller Zama. She was arrogant and hostile, I
had to greet her twice before she grunted a response back. She was
talking to another co-worker next to her during the entire time I was standing in front of her, what makes it worse she
did not even look at me while she billed my items. I asked her several times what my balance was on my smart shopper card and eventually she shouted it at me. I was left shocked and embarrassed. When I addressed the matter with her and asked is everything was okay she didn't even bother to respond to me. She gave me my items and I left.
I return on the 29th July 21, Hoping things are better and putting the
day before down as a bad day. This day was even worse. I had returned
and a male teller did not get his name although in hindsight I wish I
did, He was extremely rude from the start and was throwing my items back and forth. I had 2 return items from the previous day.
He yelled at me for the tags and even shouted at me for my details when I
could not hear him clearly. He also threw my bank card on the desk and
what makes this encounter worse is that he was being egged on by the
teller Zama. She was laughing and giggling the whole time while I was being attacked and ridiculed.
A gentleman Emanuel who is the Branch Manager was present and I
asked him what was going on. He said it's not you and I quote "I am
trying to fix the customer service problem". I was so hurt that after
all the things that we have gone through recently we cant be kind to
each other.
This incident is racially profiled and I say this with conviction.
I am disgusted, I will not be shopping at this store any longer. I
will take my hard earned money to a place where I am respected and
treated with dignity.
I will not hold my breath for someone to respond to me, but I can hope
for a resolution. When I contacted the customer service department I had received a generic response and its been a week to the day and nothing !
Racism is the worst from of ignorance, shame on you Pnp Clothing La Lucia.
repair/replacement faulty goods
Dear Sirs,
On 13 January 2021 I purchased an Aim ice maker at your Pick and Pay Hypermarket branch in Brackenfell Cape Town.
I used it for a few occasions until the beginning of February when I returned to my Knysna residence. I switched it off at the power on leaving. Up until that stage it worked.
On my return to Cape Town in April I again starting using it but after about a month it started giving problems saying that the water was empty but the moving tray that holds the water would not stay in place to make ice. The water tank was filled to the correct marking.
Eventually on 25 June 2021 I returned it to the Hypermarket - still within the 6 month warranty period and asked for a replacement. Your staff insisted that despite this being your brand it had to be returned to the manufacturer for repairs. This indicates to me that they do not have training in the CPA.
Despite this I was happy to wait the 21 days I was promised the repairs would take. I have called the branch twice and been there now 3 times to ascertain the status. Each time I am told that the assistant - Zandile- is not at work and only she can assist. I have left messages on each occasion and not even had the courtesy of a return phone call.
My patience is now exhausted.
I am now giving you until Friday 6 A
August at 12h00 to either return the repaired appliance or to replace it.
Yours Sincerely
Guy Etherington

Treatment by staff members and security
On the 29/07/2021, I bought and paid for the grocery at pick n pay supermarket (Harrismith) And with the same trolley I entered into pick n pay liquor.
There was no clearly visible sign of no trolley and I passed by the security guard without being stopped or informed not to enter with the trolley.
While I was on the ille and on trying to avoid a trolley that was parked by the staff member my trolley accidentally bumped approximately three bottles of alcohol.
I stopped on the scene and called for attention.
(1) I was detained at the liquor store for more than three hours
(2) I was verbally and physically abused (Man handled) by pick n pay stuff and security guards
(3) My phone was let through my hands to the floor which I later discovered it cracked
(4) My grocery was confisticated and taken back as a means of forcefully repaying for the damaged due to accident. ( I left the change at the store). As I did not agree with that action
All this happened in front of surveillance cameras for the supermarket and bottle store. And in front of bystanders.
What I have done to date is filled avidafit with Harrismith police. And I have not yet opened a case on the above matter.

Product complaint
Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to inform you about a problem in one of your products that I purchased at Pick n Pay with address : 95, Promenade Mall, Cnr. Morgenster & AZ Bermans Street, Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, 7789, on the 28 July 2021
I bought a B-Well Canola Mayonnaise and when I opened it on the evening of 29th July the taste was rancid or acidic and is a health hazard for my family and myself, which includes a 9 year old boy. Our supper was spoiled and we had to order out which was an inconvenience.
I have always found your products to be good and it surprises me that such an unfortunate incident has happened.
I kindly ask you to resolve this problem at the earliest convenience . I really do hope you handle my case in a top-urgent fashion and provide an adequate solution fast. As I do feel that my time and effort taken should be compensated with a good will gesture.
Attached to this email are copies of the related receipts.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Miss M Kosolo

They're scammers
Placed 2 orders on the Bottles app 15th this month. They didn't have all the products I had ordered, meaning they had to refund me. I've been waiting for the refund since then, nothing. I contacted them everyday but still no refund. I still have not received my refund. I was asked to fill a refund application document but i still have not received my money. order no. 1136121(R225.03) and order no. 1134460(R309.26), placed on the same day. Both orders had refunds as the store didn't have all the items I had purchased.

LIfe endangering attack by fellow Pick n Pay Customer
as preceded by a racist attack. I've reported to the store management and we viewed the CCTV footage, where the offending person was identified and recocgnised as regular customer of the store. I also lodged a formal complaint on the Pick n Pay website, and followed this up with a telephonic complaint. I received a reference number (SMS) and a call from Store management to apologise. I've requested that the store report the person to the police for endangering lives during a pandemic. I received an SMS to say call attended to, whereafter I requested the Customer service to update their status of the complaint, to include my request that this be elevated to the police. I request to be kept updated on the progress of this case.
Desired outcome: Peron reported to the police by store for endangering lives during a pandemic.

Refuse to take payment for telephone account
This Branch is carrying the Pick n Pay image however the bad service needs to be investigated. For the last 3 months when I came to pay my telephone account I'm told they are offline, so I decided to test the truthfulness and on 3 different days I sent family members and the same was told.
Today is the 25th July at 1.13pm again the same story plus the 2 ladies at the till point just have a dont care attitude and it is so hard to get them to even smile. I tried to get the managers detail but they refused and there is no one else either a supervisor that I could complain on this matter and since they carry your brand and image hence I write to you.
Desired outcome: This needs to be investigated taking the date and time to see if they were really offline. I would also like feedback on this matter
Expired product
I went to PnP Something nice in Bluedowns to make a purchase, decide to buy some packets of chips, I bought couple of those including small packet of cheese curls balls for my son. Next morning get told by my partner the cheese curls (which I bought for my son) are more than a month expired.
I took the chips back to the store, upon entering the store, the manager was coming out of the office (behind the tills) I asked to have a word, his response was, "me?!" as he approached, I presented to him (while passing) the packet of chips and while I am talking telling him it is expired, he cut me saying "that is why they are marked to clear". I asked him, does that mean you have deliberately sold expired stuff? His response was, that is why it is marked to clear, there is more like that in the store (that time he is moving away).
I immediately called PnP head office to confirm what he said, the lady said "no sir we only mark to clear stuff that is soon to expire not expired stuff", after purchasing bread I came back to him as he was next to the exit/entrance, I told him what the lady from the head office said and his response was, "check other PnPs".
I requested his name as he did not have his name badge on, he asked why and I told him I will lodge a formal complaint as according to my knowledge the expired stock should not be on the shelves and his response was "my name is not available for this purpose".
I called PnP head office and lodged a complaint and the lady on the switchboard replied, a lady by the name of (not sure I should write the name) will contact me, I asked the time frame so I may be able to follow up and the lady said "like I said to you said she will call you" and dropped the call. I received a call about 10 minutes later, the lady called me and I explained to her what happened she asked for my details and sai she will contact the store and get to back to me, I gave my details and waited and since then I never heard from PnP to this date. I called last Thursday to follow up and the lady on the switchboard told me the lady will call me but I did not receive the call.

Good day
Yesterday I tried purchasing at Pick N Pay using my TUYU Wicode Voucher And Was Told It No Longer Works At Pick N Pay. I've Been Purchasing Using The Wicode For A Year Now.
I Once Laid A Complaint Three Weeks Back Was Told That I'll Recieve A Call Back From Them When They Finish With The Investigation But Still Haven't Heard Anything From Them Now...
Sunbeam kettle
I purchased a kettle from hyper, Durban 27 April 2021. It began to leak at the bottom and starting to rust. I went back to hyper. I was refused a refund or get another kettle. I was offered to have it sent for repairs. I was very disappointed in this. It wasn't my fault. For abt 2 weeks I was expected to have no kettle. I wasn't going to purchase a new one. Just to wait for the repaired one. This makes no sense. I tried talking to the sales person VERY UNFRIENDLY... I had to take the leaking kettle back home bcos I use it ofter I have kids at home. If I knew pnp has no refund or exchange policy I would have purchased elsewhere.
Service
I'm a regular shopper at a PnP in Rand Steam shopping center in Milpark, usually I get the best services but there is this lady her name is Khosi Mbatha. She does not understand customer services. On this day 21/07/2021 around 11:45 I wanted to withdraw money from her till and she was busy talking to her phone, the amount I wanted to withdraw was R150 and her response was "I don't know if I have that amount and that this is not her till." and continued to talk to her phone and didn't give me any attention. She wasn't willing to assist me, I then decided to go to another till and I was assisted. Couple of mins late the I saw the same lady assisting an old white lady in the same till which she told me it wasn't her till. I decided to confront her and she gave me attitude and said I can go and report her if I wanted. Please look into this matter I was heart broken.
Desired outcome: disciplinary hearing
Online goods not delivered, money not refunded
PNP and bottles never refunded me. It's been 2 weeks, they close my ticket daily, saying it's sorted,
I used a virtual card and no credits can be made to a virtual card so they must credit my account instead they refuse, so I'm wondering where the money is.
I am now going to the ombudsman, as PNP and bottles swindled and scammed money from me. So many emails and chats and they're just closing my tickets daily without taking time to call me or find out what the story is I just want my money back that's all
Surely they must have it as a credit on their journals, but it's like they don't know what they're doing. This is my last resort, then I'm going to the ombudsman

Management and staff paarl mall
I was overcharged for an item. The cashier knew the price of the item that it was wrong. WHY had it not been fixed on the system long ago. She called a Manager/Supervisor Chandler (I know his name started with Ch) who then just walked off without explanation. The cashier starts to help PicknPay staff with sales. I'm waiting this whole time. He after 10 minutes with no regard to me the customer Waits for her to finish ringing up PICKNPAY STAFF GOODS and says I must wait and be patient he is helping! The cashier takes her time and the whole time he and the Cashier (sale was rung up 17H52 on the 19 July at cigarette counter) are being rude to me and she is speaking her own language and having a racist attitude, not service related. I'm disgusted, I will be going onto to social media about this. I asked for slip and she said must keep as she had to refund me. Her name is on that Receipt as the cashier! My sale was for
Desired outcome: Apology and refund as I’ll never set foot there again

Pick & Pay Store card and Pick & Pay Hyper Port Elizabeth
I opened a Pick and Pay store account on the 25th of June 2021.
I got a few sms's confirming my store account is active and i could use my
PNP store card.
I visited the PIck & Pay Hyper in Port Elizabeth on the 1st of July wanting to buy a dishwasher. R3000 to come off my PNP store card and the rest of my Makro card. My PNP store kept on declining . In the end my sale was cancelled. I was told by the manager the Graviniatia the credit will be back in my account by 2 to 3days. WELL IT TOOK 7DAYS AFTER MANY CALLS BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS. The credit was never passed. After 7days I was called to collect my cash of R1130.78. After 2weeks of having my PNP store card being declined time after time, with no one knowing why. I have R3000 credit on the new account, I think this is the worse service i received in a long time. I have lodged a complained with RCS aswell with no luck .
If no one can resolve my query maybe this account must be cancelled.
I await your feedback. My contact no is [protected].
Regards Dubbenette
Desired outcome: PNP STORE CARD TO BE ACTIVATED

Staff
To who it may concern...
I need this matter to be acknowledged by the head of this department.
I have a family friend who has been diagnosed with a punctured lung and he has a severe type of tuberculosis, which has resulted in him being severely depressed and for some reason he tends to take a walk sometimes, but what I'm so disappointed in, is the fact that for a couple of times he comes back injured.
My husband and I always ask him how and where then he will refer to a man called "Fabian" who also happens to be a manager at pick'n pay's receiving department.
Now we've always thought, :"well you probably not suppose to be walking around there", but I was taken aback when he came in here tonight barely being able to breathe properly let alone walk up straight and on top of all it wasn't just 'Fabian' now, 4 more joined in kicking and hitting him with poles and steel tip safety boots.
Desired outcome: Want to open a case against this department
