Pep Stores Pep customer care

Good day

This is a complaint against the Pep Clothing Store at Promenade Mall.

Firstly I want to say when I do my shopping I have my 2 sons with me aged 2 and 4 years old, I am a single parent so whenever I do anything really I have my sons with me.

Their has been various occasions where I was told I cannot enter with a trolley into the Pep Clothing Store. They have made it a rule, as all customers seems to know about this.

The problem is shopping with 2 toddlers without a trolley or prams is a complete disaster. If I am not able to keep my sons in the trolley I won't be able to get any shopping done.

The manager of the store has denied me into the store unless I leave my trolley outside. At this point my trolley had grocery bags in and my sons were in it. For me to take out all my shopping and see that my 2sons don't disappear in the store, whilst trying to shop for winter clothing - I'm sure you can imagine that mess.

I want to ask that this idiotic rule that was made by this store (Pep Promenade Mall) to be ceased. I seldomnly shop without my sons because I want to try the clothes and shoes before I buy it besides the fact of me being a single parent - I mostly have no choice but to take them with me. The trolley keeps them contained and I can still get shopping done.

For the store to not allow customers to enter with their trolleys is not only killing the customer experience but I'm sure it's affecting sales.

Pep Stores Money transfer

I am complaining about PEP at Isipingo opposite to ShopRite Checker's store,I wanted to transfer money on Monday the 29 May 2023 at 9:35 AM but the cashier there said they were offline so I went to PEP at Abourcrossing and did my money transfer,I also went at PEP Isipingo on the 02 June 2023 at 9:05 AM I asked one of the ladies that was helping a customer buy a phone at the till point if money transfer is working she said yes it was working so I Joi the queue,there was only one cashier at the till point,when I came to the cashier she said money transfer is offline again so I went to Abourcrossing and I did my transfer,the reason why I am doing these transfers is because my mother is renovating her parents home so she sents me to transfer money for building material,I am very disappointed because it seems as the store always say they are offline just to send customer's who do transfers because there is only one cashier at the till point.

Desired outcome: For this Pep to sort out it's offline issue

Pep Stores Sending parcel with pexi at pep

I'm deeply disappointed about pep store that is in Durban pep code is 6507 Dr Yusuf dadoo street were one of the cashier Ms Percy Mtshali was helping me to send the parcel on 26 may 2023 idid not receive an Sms that says I dropped the parcel when I go back there yesterday we call Pexi they told us under my name is only the parcel that I send on 23 may 2023 the one of 26 is nowhere to be found...I'm receiving threats to my customers because the parcel was going to Noupoort with their new clothes that they ordered to me...my name is Noxolo Patricia jantjies cell number is [protected]

Desired outcome: Can you please do an investigation where my Parcel is the Footage of the store can tell every if you are able to request it.

Pep Stores customer service

Dear Sir/Madam

I would like to lay a complaint , please see the below photo. I was at the store to buy clothing for my son and I saw two pcs sleepwear with the price of R39.99 but at the till point this item scanned amount of R120 , and the cashier called the Supervisor to override and the Supervisor said this is not on markdownt the cashier said its either I pay full price or leave the item.

For me as a customer that was unprofessional , I was waiting for the apology maybe it was a mistake not to just say its either I take for full price or leave it.

I was on lunch time I didn’t have much time to attend this matter,otherwise as a customer I know my rights when I saw an item I demand to pay the amount at that item.

Pep Stores Tire repair service

My Pep Boy experience was a disappointment.

On Friday May 12, 2023 around 5:00 pm, I entered Pep Boy store 0105 in Gastonia, NC to have a tire repaired. I purchased a set of tires at the same store around 6-7 months ago. Along with the set, I added road hazard service, and Friday, I wanted to use that service. I tell the front desk technician that I noticed two nails in my tire, he immediately says, we can't fix the tire and I would have to purchase a new tire. After about five minutes from checking in, a technician walked out of the garage to tell the front service guy, that he was going on break. I figured there were more mechanics in the back. The front desk service guy, asked him about my tire, and he replied that I had to wait until after his break. I take a look into the garage and it was full of cars and absolutely NO mechanics. I calmly waited. After about 45 minutes, the technician comes back, and they decided to tell me they had to order me a tire, and that it would be in the next day. I waited almost an hour to be told that?

They make a 1:00 appointment for me 5/13/23 @ 1:00pm. they take about 45 minutes to service the tire. I take a look at the tire, and it's been plugged, with no explanation which is what I asked them to do in the first place. I ask about the new tire, and they go on to say, "oh we can plug the tire." At this point I'm very frustrated and just leave. After getting in my car, I noticed their notes on my receipt. The notes said, I declined road hazard and an alignment. They never once mentioned this at all. What a waste of my precious time. Never again.

Desired outcome: My desired outcome would be to have a sincere apology for my time wasted, and miscommunication from the employees. A discount or coupon on my next service would be great.

Pep Stores Office hours

Office hours of this store is not what is displayed. On Tuesday 09/05/23 at 09.30 I was waiting for store to open. On Tuesday store open at 09.00 according to info. Yesterday morning at 09.30 it was still closed. I saw one person behind check out with her back turned to door and doing nothing, so there is not an apology for not opening the doors. And it's not the first time this happen. Clients are waiting and then walk away. They are loosing clients.

Pep Stores Bought a cellphone, did complain but still no resolution, this is bad service

Ive complained about this numerous occasions, still no resolution. I bought a phone RedmiA1 at pep home Cleary Park shopping center, phone is still not working, they didn't want to give me my money back and i bought this phone on the 3rd of March, this is really pathetic, the service and no one even responded to my emails.I've sent emails to pep complaints I'm still waiting for a respond THIS IS REALLY THE WORST SERVICE EVER...

Desired outcome: I would like a refund, and a apology from the pep home manager.

Pep Stores Manager treatment

So I go into the PEP appliance store In Elarduspark and the mngr is at the counter. I say:"sorry to bother, but can I pls get a balance check on my Bank card". (Did it also a few days earlier when loadshedding was running and ATM was off.) My leg has a BIG burn wound and it hurts to walk so I didn't want to walk all the way to the other end of the center to get to the ATM. So the mngr says She will help me this time, but not again. I ask her why she said that and she said:"Who's card is that? Is that your mother's card that you stole?" So I tell her NO it's not and my phone was stolen so I cant just check there. "No, that's probably a stolen card and she wont help me again" Now This is unacceptable for a few reasons. 1) I am a 42y/o man, and I dont have to explain myself to someone like that! 2) My mother is deceased. Has been for many years. 3) How can she just assume that I'm a thief? My looks? I was busy working so I was dirty. 4) Why is the service offered if they are going to give me hassles when I want to use it..? This was a surprise and I just said:"ag dont be like that", with a smile on my face. But is that how I should be treated.? It's a small thing and I doubt I will even get an answer from anyone regarding this. But I just feel wronged by this mngr who thinks she can speak to me like I'm one of her kids..!

Desired outcome: I'd like for the store owner to take action against his/her terrible store mngr! You dont speak to customers like this and it's completely unacceptable!!

Pep Stores Disgraceful conduct

I really hope you are able to assist.

Late last week I left my trolley containing a parcel consisting of a double embossed duvet cover 2 pillow cases 2 runners and one fleece blanket in the store at ipic shopping centre in kuilsriver as I was awaiting an address to paxi to as it was a birthday gift. In my running around with load shedding I went home forgetting my parcel at the store. I phoned and informed staff of my silly mistake and told them that I would return the following afternoon to collect it. upon my return I was treated very dismissively and rather rudely by staff stating simply it was not their problem and to go to centre security which I then did and was told by a security manager that pep staff had told him to throw said parcel away as it was not their problem. I am not only very sad as it was a beautiful set but disgusted that staff saw fit to decide about goods not at all theirs. Nobody cares and seems not to agree that this is blatant theft,. Please somebody tell me what to do.

Pep Stores Recharge Airtime

i went to one of your pepcell stores in Groblersdal to buy airtime. I greeted the lady and told her i want airtime of value of R100 and i told her i know you guys don't sell R100 airtime but if you can do R55,29 and three R5 as i always do when i buy airtime from that store... what she did is so disrespectful, first she rang R59,R29 and R12 and gave me the slip and change when i tried to call her so that i can get clarity is to why she did what she did coz i expected a R1 change in stead i got R4.10. she ignored me and went to the back area leaving me by the till point no explanation whats so ever. i didn't expect such service from someone who's a store manager. i would like to understand if this is the kind of customer service we to expect now from pepcell?

Pep Stores Faulty Phone

I bought a phone on the 8th of March 2023 and when I use it for internet only to find out is freezing and I took back to the store on the 10th (two days after) to ask for exchange but the manager opened the phone trying to fix it but was unsuccessful, she refused to give me another one and is still within 7days

Pep Stores Pos issue

My card was used yesterday 8th March though I was not debited immediately and I have to pay another money for the goods I bought and later discovered that i was debited. I went back today and i was told to go to the bank.

The money will have enter their account because I didn't have reversal of the money. Immediately I did one transaction there and immediately they reverse the money but in this case the money was not reversed.

Pls refund my money pep

Pep Stores Lack of communication, poor customer service, no updates regarding repairs, delayed for 3 months without any feedback

On the 24th of november 2022 I sent in my hisense e30 lite for repair regarding a faulty battery that exploded in my hand I was told it will be sent in for repairs and will take 4 to 6 weeks there was no communication from any of the staff or managers regarding my repair I kept following up by calling only to get no reply and on the 09 of january 2023 I got a response from the supervisor saying that they are unable to track the device. Ever since then I kept calling numerous times times with the same excuse I also visited the branch numerous times it is the same excuse I refuse to wait any longer.

Desired outcome: an immediate refund

Pep Stores One trainee cashier on till on payday 25 January

I went to Pep Barberton in Crown Street today on 25 January. There was only one trainee cashier available on the till, while there was a cue of over ten people standing to be helped. The trainee was struggling alone to help the people while there was one employee walking in the store around on her cellphone talking, not even trying to assist and another cashier walking with her friend in private dress... Helping her with her stuff she was purchasing and with some cold drink. She even then took her in at the back of the till at register to help her ring up the stuff she took while the other people were cuing and complaining while they had to wait to be helped. I asked for the manager but she was sitting in the office and didn't even bother to come out to attend to the matter.

Pep Stores I got the pepstore key on the door and return it

I sincerely have a matter to complain with or news to give as a feedback to the company which I have already talked with the Acting Manager Nonnie Leboea from Hertzogville.
Last week on Wednesday night I found the PEP STORE key on the door, taking risk for saving the Acting Manager and the Company not to loss the products and have cases also for the manager not to be warned or dismissed and save her job, and I returned it early in the morning. So I have asked for a reward of money because of my struggling and looking forward to be called because I've been applying, and just to say thank you for helping me or the company, she agreed and I didn't specify how much we will ask because thinking of her and her family, my partner whom I found the key with asked her to think of how much is she going to give us, she thanked us and said we must come the following day and gave us R150 while we are both unemployed, we don't have nothing in our lives, we need to go back to school or have employment, not to be cruel or being greedy (unfair treatment) towards her and the company. We both have had positive thoughts that we will be fine for this month even though it's not gonna be enough from her and if we send the message to the company it was going to be better maybe, maybe not (having doubts) disappointment.

We weren't satisfied with R150 she gave us, while we both have positive thoughts that might give us atleast R500 or more, I didn't eat that night because of most of people here in our area normally love taking advantage of others while they don't care as long as their happy in their lives. I decided not to do anything but only my partner being sad and disappointed for the reward, he wanted to report her to the head office because of disappoints, I disagree with him and asking him to give her some time to think better after thanking us. I didn't need manager to be dismissed but asking for the reward and didn't depend on her to much but asking for help for this month. I wouldn't mind if she gave me R500 because even See sassa R350 that we don't even receive every month is better than what she gave us.

She could have payed so much money to pay the lawyers and being fired, if it wasn't because of us.
This is what she said when my partner wanted to report her to the head office on Monday: "I have already reported to the company about the incidence and waiting for the manager or office to call for a warning or a dismissed".
I said "its not what I needed from you even though you reported from the manager, I am saving you and the company also have asked to be saved", if it was someone else who got the keys, the company was going to loss lot of money than having the profit and plus the load shedding is too much nowadays, it was gonna be a lot than its less and saved like now, and remember how cruel people are! To have satisfaction and being greedy to each other but only being loyal to her and the company. Am really disappointed that's why I decided to send the message. Painful thing is that she manage to help with lending her colleagues money for the Pep Store Event after few days

Instead of I whom struggles with basic needs and rather on people who just want to have fun. Please help because you might loss next time.

I'm the customer at pep for more than 30 years.

On the 17th of January 2023 I went at pep store in Shoprite center at 11h05.As it is this time of the year most of the parents are busy buying school clothes and stationary for their kids.

When I came inside it was very full and the maximum temp was 31° and the heat inside the shop you will be sure that they switched the heater ON.I was with my pregnant younger sister nevertheless I ask the Manager to the to the assistant staff then she showed me.

I read her name badge and her name was Nomalusi, I greeted her by mentioning her name and I called her Noma, I noticed that there is only one cashier while the shop is too full and it's very hot.

I waited for her for 2 min while she was explaining to the light complexion man with bluewish golfer that he must not buy the 3quire book at pep because its cheaper at shoprite because it's R16 at the shop(pep) while its R13 at shoprite and she mentioned his name its when I noticed that they know each other.

Ahe replied me with an attitude then I remind her that im talking with her nicely and ahe supposed to answer me we respect. She said they are on lunch (kaloku) the facial expression was not good at all.

I went back to the line and try to explain to my pregnant little sister that the manager gave me attitude. The man that she was talking with came to the queue and shouted at me and tell me that I'm lying of course I expected that from him becouse he is the one that told to go and buy somewhere.

He told me to just go and buy somewhere if I don't want to stand on the queue.

I'm sure that there are cameras on your shop that will be my witness.

My mistake was to ask Why we habe only one cashier while the shop is full.

Pep Stores Bultfontein freestate manager

The manager of Bultfontein Pep Stores is very rude

First of all she never greets customers. Specially when you Afrikaans speaking

I just had an altercation with her. She spoke to me in Sesotho than I told her I dont understand, She than said with an attituded she also dont know my langauge. She is a public servant she is supposed to accommodate me in the dominant language of South Africa, wich is English. I asked to make an exchange then she said I cant the shop is to full. I understand that. I asked her if I can just check if the books I needed yesterday is already packed out like the shop assistant told me yesterday. I dont want to buy. I just wanted to check if it is there so that I can come back later. She said no. So I saw the shop assistant who I spoke with the previous day. I asked her if she packed out the books already, before she could answer the manager jump infront and talk and pushed me out of the door. I said I just need information if it is there or not, so that I know I must look somewhere else.

I also worked at a Pep Stores before and I know the treatment that manager gave me is absolutely not Peps Stores PRIDE AND MORALS!

Pep Stores Forest hill city pep home

I just went to pep home at forest hill mall, I do go there often and buy lots of products there. Today will be my last trip to any off your shops. I went in and got a rack and two desk stands and wanted a other ask for it and then we saw the roof was leaking called them showed the tell leak help then put bins there to catch the water that was coming in, I then when to go pay as they where done ringing up all my items, I asked for my table. The lady that was ringing up said they did not go and get it yet and she is not going to get it, she cancelled my transaction and said to the other costumer she will help them I asked her how can you do that she said she will not go get stuff from the back I said could I speak to a manager Valley said she is the manager, I said how can I ask to get something and you said you have and then will not go get it from storage room? I then asked can I pay for my stuff she said no they have already cancelled my transaction! The tells her colleagues I am white trash! I will never support any pep store again

Pep Stores Customer service

On the 22nd December I visited the PEP store at Centurion Lifestyle Centre. There was only one cashier available and a queue full of customers. When I asked if she could call another cashier, she didn't even acknowledge my request, just shouted for someone who then stood around for a few minutes before opening another till. When I commented, they have no idea about customer service, she completely ignored me.

Please train your staff in customer service. They are unfriendly and totally oblivious about helping customers.

Pep Stores Phone

I bought a an itelv4 phone 3 days back with vodacom locked sim1 i asked the seller if other network will work and he said only on sim2 i have inserted mtn but data doesnt work for sim2 i got back there and explain since vodacom network doesnt function on my area i needed the exchange for another network and they refused now im stuck with an unfunctional phone, please your workers must explain everything thouroughly before selling its not fair for us customers what threy are doing what should i do now i have school work which requires internet
