I am 9 months pregnant almost due I had to stand the line despite me pleading to the staff that I wasn't feeling well as we speak now I'm not feeling well at all coz I had to stand a line for more than 15 mins with 2 cashiers...I asked a girl named Marcia for help she acted as if she did not see me...their service is very poor ...if you are pregnant don't go to Pep in Roodepoort you will stand a full line

Pep Stores Stylo arctic cell phone

The cell phone was bought at pep cell in Claremont Cape Town on the 5th September 2023. after two weeks i noticed that it would just switch off by itself, but thought i might have accidentally done it. then on the first sun in November after a short run in the suburbs with my phone, i found that it had again switched off this time it wouldn't start up again, i tried charging it, perhaps the battery was flat but it still wouldn't switch on.

i returned it to the store, explained what had happened, also said that i am unemployed, started something small at home, but the phone is my source of income, i was told it would take 2 to 3 months..

i followed up on this twice already , each time they do not know what i am talking about. yesterday i called the store, had to explain everything again, the manager said she will call be back in a few min, she never did

Claimed loss: a daily income on average of about R145

Desired outcome: i would like a new phone asap so that i generate some income againi would like part of that income i lost to be put towards a better phone

Pep Stores Stylo air smartphone

I bought the STYLO AIR "smartphone" from the PEP Home at Ridgeview Shopping Centre (Shop 1, Ridgeview Shopping Centre, 200 Ouklip Rd, Helderkruin, Johannesburg, 1724) about 2 months ago.

It specifies that this smartphone has 2GB of RAM but is the slowest and most unreliable smartphone I have ever owned! I have an old Samsung smartphone with 1.5GB of RAM which runs faster than the STYLO AIR.

Yes, the STYLO AIR is a budget smartphone, however, with 2GB of RAM it should run smoothly and not as slow as it does.

I hoped that a software update would solve this problem but this STYLO AIR smartphone is up to date and still operates very slowly.

I would like a refund as this STYLO AIR smartphone does not operate as fast as a smartphone with 2GB of RAM should.

I am going back to the PEP Home at Ridgeview Shopping Centre as soon as they open this morning at 9 am to get a refund and I really hope that I am refunded.

Claimed loss: R899.00

Pep Stores Stylo atlas phone

This phone is absolute [censored] even as I am typing right now it's jamming

1. Speaker doesn't work properly and is choppy when I play music I literally have to restart the whole phone and even that doesn't work sometimes.

2. Fingerprint sensor isn't working: A few weeks ago my fingerprint sensor was working but but now it's not, I tried removing my current fingerprint but as soon as I did that the fingerprint setting completely disappeared from my phone I tried everything even factory reseting the phone but still nothing

3. Overall the phone itself if is a piece of [censored] because whenever I turn on my data or when I receive a notification it starts lagging and freezing up and the it's not compatible with a lot of apps which is very annoying and it doesn't have important features like display over other apps

PLEASE PEP STOP SELLING THIS [censored]

Pep Stores Incorrect pricing and poor service

Pep at malvern jules, the service I got from asanda and her manager lindiwe/lindelwa was the worse... 1stly the cable that I wanted to buy had wrong pricing actually all of the pricing was faulty, they couldn't apologize all they did was to give me a attitude I asked the cashier asanda what's her managers name and surname did she not give me a dirty look and said "she doesn't know... Whose fault is it if the pricing says r49,99 then you get to the till the price goes up... Am I the one who has to make sure that products are priced correctly?

I still want that cable that I saw saying r49,99.

Pep Stores PEP Courier service

I am Olga Mkhize, the Author of 2 Books. I use PEP Courier to send books to my readers all over the country.

Today the 24th October around 9:30am I went to PEP store Diepkloof Square to courier three parcels. They said they don't have the plastics for R60 and suggested that I go to PEP Cell.

At PEP CELL I paid R180 and the lady asked for my ID book. I told her I don't have it with me, but I'll write it down for her. She said she has to scan it. I said this is not the first time I courier books, and most of the time I don't have my ID book with me, and I get assisted. She said she is not going to assist me without an ID, an argument between us ensued. What surprised me is that she had the odesity to argue with me and raise her voice telling me "NO ID, NO Courier.

She said i must go back home and get that ID. I said home is very far and I cannot come back today. I asked to speak to her senior, she went to the back and got on a call for about 3 minutes, I couldn't hear what she was saying. Then she handed the phone to me and a lady who called herself Simunye was even more rude. She said they can't help me, and I will only get my refund in 14 days if I don't want to go home to get the ID. I insisted on getting my refund and they gave it to me. I'm upset because they really spoiled my day with their stinking attitude.

Is this how PEP Cell Store Diepkloof square treats customers? Are they allowed to talk back and raise their voices to customers? Are they allowed to threaten that if they don't get what they want the customer will get a refund in 14 days? The service at that store left bitter taste on my mouth. Clearly there's a gap in Customer service training. These two ladies lacked empathy and refused to listen to my frustration actively. never again will i take my business to PEP Courrier, I will use PUDO from now on. I will never recommend that store to anyone.

I felt like I am not valued as a customer. These two ladies have just placed the store and brand as such under reputational risk

Pep Stores Stylo inkulu pro

I bought that phone on the second of October 2022 and a week later it fell off and the screen got damaged and they couldn't help me because I damaged it myself... Well I asked them to take it back I'll pay repair costs and they refused still. It's been a year now and there LCD for STYLO INKULU PRO still unavailable on the market. Lost My R1599 here

Pep Stores Cellphone and service

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received from your PEP store in PEP Riverside Square, 4201 Porcupine Park Ave, Riverside View, Fourways today on the 10.09.2023. I was very dissatisfied with the level of service provided.

I bought a phone last month And it started giving me problems 3 weeks ago, it hangs a lot. I must reboot it all the time or take out the battery because it doesn’t give me the option to restart, On other occasions it will ring and not give me the option to answer.

Yesterday I had a chance to take it back to the store. I was very disappointed by the store supervisor or manager. I am not sure of her position, her attitude, and how she addressed me. I simply asked if I could return the phone so they could check what was wrong with it, In no order:

She told me she was not in the position to take the phone because she didn’t think there was anything wrong, not even checking it.

She is going to charge me if she takes the phone that's the PEP store policy

She will not take the phone because the people who work with phones are not working.

I told her the phone doesn’t always hang but she could try to phone it while we were in the store to see if it would ring, but she refused. She told me I must only come back whenever it's hanging because she is not going to waste her airtime or the company's airtime to call. I asked her why the attitude and why she addressed me aggressively. I asked her to show me the store policy, especially the part addressing returns, She just told me to take my phone.

I told her all the information she was telling me was wrong because they are in Norway under PEP store TERMS AND CONDITIONS saying we will be charged if we return the phone for fixing or refund as long as it's still under warranty and in good condition.

Even PEP employees who were at the store looked surprised by the information and the anger towards me. To make it worse she just came outside with me while I was living and started smoking in my face. I told her I was going to write a complaint email to the store. That's when she said I must give her my ID so she can help me. I refused and left the store.

This needs to be addressed ASAP. I am a customer and we demand to be treated with respect and honesty. It is unacceptable for a supervisor, manager, or employee to treat customers like nothing. People around PEP Riverside Square always complain about this lady and I just experienced her 1st hand, I felt like all my rights and free environment as a consumer were violated.

Desired outcome: I need this lady to be address and trained how to deal with customers and i need my phone replaced or refunded

Respected Sir/Madam,

I'm writing this to complain about Japhney who is working at one of your store in kimberley [PEP HOME Shop 5573] situated in NEW PARK.  This happened when I visited your store yesterday 08-09-23 around 12:00.

On the 06-09-2023 I bought NOKIA 105 4G DUAL Sim Cellphone and Vodacom Sim card. I was assisted by two sales ladies which one of them was Daphney. I told them that I need a phone which can take two sim card and they explained to me that I will be able to use Vodacom only on Sim 1 because the network is LOCKED. then on Sim 2 I can use any network. When I get home I realized that Both SIM 1 and SIM 2 takes Vodacom only. I went back to the store on the 08-09-2023 to ask for an exchange or any foune which can atleast allows me to use Vodacom and other network. I met the lady called Japhney and as soon as I said I'm here for an exchange. She shouted on me and said she's not going to do it and whoever assisted me will have to deal with that issue because she's not going to authorise that. I then called the lady who assisted me. The lady who assisted me confessed to this lady that yes, She explained to me that SIM 2 will use any network and apologised that she did a mistake by telling me that. My witness is ZINZI shes dark and shot and works for your store. I was hurt and dissapointed by how the lady treated me infront of my collegues and her colleagues with the store full of customers inside. She refused to give me her Manager's number or Area Manager. I suspected she's either an Assistant Manager Or she is an Area Manager because everyone did not call her into order and it seems like all people who work there are afraid of her. I couldn't take it anymore and left the store. That's when i dialed Customer Complaints number and met the lady called Uhlalo and explained everything to her. Immediately after hearing my story she said I should go back to the store and give JAPHNEY a phone she will tell her to exchange the phone for me because 7 days is not passed yet. I went back to the store and called the customer complain lady (Uhlalo) . That rude lady spoke to Uhlalo for 1 minutes and her phone ringed and she said uhlalo should hold on. She answered her private phone while uhlalo is still on the line. I spoke to her that she needs to talk to the lady because it's my second time at their store but she choose to ignore me and still continue with her private call while im standing there like a puppet. Because I was still on duty I had to drive back to my work place as I couldn't wait any longer.

I'm dissapointed on how that lady treated me. She ruined my day and now I'm sitting here without a phone due to her behavior. I'm not a person who complains but this really cut me. I myself used to work at the retail store and I know how one should treat a customer. We all have a bad day to work but this is unacceptable. For a person to shout at me like I want a refund is something that I won't tolerate. I no longer want to be served at that store. I only want my money back in Peace. I mo longer want to ever see that women in my life. I will rather go buy somewhere else I'm done with that store. My collegue Victor: [protected] was present the time I was humiliated by that women. And Zinzi who also works there can testify that Daphne who assisted me explained to that women that she sold the phone to me by saying SIM2 can take any network.

Pep Stores Laybye sent to the floor

Made a laybye that expired the 3 October 23, was unable to make the payment online as that's not an option and I attempted to make a payment at a different store as it is closer to my place of work only to be told they unable to accept and I should make the payment at the store the laybye was made.

today the 2nd September, I went to get the laybye at the store, intending to pay the full outstanding balance, to be told that my laybye was sent back to the floor, without any warning, staff unsympathetic and very unhelpful, this is the worst experience at pep. Was told I can have a look on th floor for my items.

Im having a problem with pep dobsonville point.
Ive send my daughter to buy yesterday with R100.
They punched R50 and they gave her change of R50.
Now today when i go and ask them they gave me attitude and tell me that they cant help me cause the person who did that is not at work
Im asking my self a question that am i the first or they keep on doing this to our kids

Pep Stores Manager and stuff missing from my parcel

I went to pep maarl mall about 2months ago to send a parcel when it arrived 2items were missing, went back back to the store the manager gave me an attitude and told me she packed everything but when she was busy packing some of the stuff fell,guys I am so tired because of writing because I have been sending emails for the past 2months,all I get a ticket has been opened after that the ticket is closed without any resolution, not even a call from pep to resolve this issue been complaining about poor service still nothing is done so disappointed that I am loosing stuff just like that ,that's my money I worked hard for it now all I get is funny looks when I go to the store because I complained

Pep Stores Cellphone repairs

I bought Samsung A3 after 3 months it stopped working and i took it back to the PEP CELL branch i bought it. I was told it will take 35 working days to repair it. i think this is not a right at all especially to a poor customer who needs to be in touch looking for opportunities all the time. so by telling me 35 working days to repair are you telling me i should buy a new phone? This is not fair at all

Pep Stores Alexandra Joburg (Refuse for a refund over a freezing phone)

I bought a phone at pep cell Alexandra Joburg. Samsung A04 it was R2300 on the 2nd of this month. the phone starterd freezing the screen. I went to the store on the 18th to get a refund mind u it's only been 16 days when I first went to the store I stood there for hours n no one was willing to give me my money back. I'm 7 months pregnant with complications n I stay alone, what if something happens n there's no need around n the phone freeze when I want to use it. the cashier said I must cal the customer care line coz she need authorization code to refund me. I did, but customer care line said it's the Area Manager who have Authorization code n can help me. he/she was unreachable that day n have to come back yesterday, yesterday again no one wants to help me even the Manager n they call the Area manager, she refuse to refund me. I don't have other phone to use for emergency when I give this one away to checked. I just want my money back. phone have no physical damage whatsoever I just want my money back but they all done want to help me. it's not fair it's not even 17 days I have this phone. The customer service there it's terrible very terrible. I even cried to the manager he didn't care let alone the Area manager. My bp went high I'll never forget this. I just want my money back. it's so stressful to have a phone like this while I know my situation.

Good day

This is a complaint against the Pep Clothing Store at Promenade Mall.

Firstly I want to say when I do my shopping I have my 2 sons with me aged 2 and 4 years old, I am a single parent so whenever I do anything really I have my sons with me.

Their has been various occasions where I was told I cannot enter with a trolley into the Pep Clothing Store. They have made it a rule, as all customers seems to know about this.

The problem is shopping with 2 toddlers without a trolley or prams is a complete disaster. If I am not able to keep my sons in the trolley I won't be able to get any shopping done.

The manager of the store has denied me into the store unless I leave my trolley outside. At this point my trolley had grocery bags in and my sons were in it. For me to take out all my shopping and see that my 2sons don't disappear in the store, whilst trying to shop for winter clothing - I'm sure you can imagine that mess.

I want to ask that this idiotic rule that was made by this store (Pep Promenade Mall) to be ceased. I seldomnly shop without my sons because I want to try the clothes and shoes before I buy it besides the fact of me being a single parent - I mostly have no choice but to take them with me. The trolley keeps them contained and I can still get shopping done.

For the store to not allow customers to enter with their trolleys is not only killing the customer experience but I'm sure it's affecting sales.

Pep Stores Money transfer

I am complaining about PEP at Isipingo opposite to ShopRite Checker's store,I wanted to transfer money on Monday the 29 May 2023 at 9:35 AM but the cashier there said they were offline so I went to PEP at Abourcrossing and did my money transfer,I also went at PEP Isipingo on the 02 June 2023 at 9:05 AM I asked one of the ladies that was helping a customer buy a phone at the till point if money transfer is working she said yes it was working so I Joi the queue,there was only one cashier at the till point,when I came to the cashier she said money transfer is offline again so I went to Abourcrossing and I did my transfer,the reason why I am doing these transfers is because my mother is renovating her parents home so she sents me to transfer money for building material,I am very disappointed because it seems as the store always say they are offline just to send customer's who do transfers because there is only one cashier at the till point.

Desired outcome: For this Pep to sort out it's offline issue

Pep Stores Sending parcel with pexi at pep

I'm deeply disappointed about pep store that is in Durban pep code is 6507 Dr Yusuf dadoo street were one of the cashier Ms Percy Mtshali was helping me to send the parcel on 26 may 2023 idid not receive an Sms that says I dropped the parcel when I go back there yesterday we call Pexi they told us under my name is only the parcel that I send on 23 may 2023 the one of 26 is nowhere to be found...I'm receiving threats to my customers because the parcel was going to Noupoort with their new clothes that they ordered to me...my name is Noxolo Patricia jantjies cell number is [protected]

Dear Sir/Madam

I would like to lay a complaint , please see the below photo. I was at the store to buy clothing for my son and I saw two pcs sleepwear with the price of R39.99 but at the till point this item scanned amount of R120 , and the cashier called the Supervisor to override and the Supervisor said this is not on markdownt the cashier said its either I pay full price or leave the item.

For me as a customer that was unprofessional , I was waiting for the apology maybe it was a mistake not to just say its either I take for full price or leave it.

I was on lunch time I didn’t have much time to attend this matter,otherwise as a customer I know my rights when I saw an item I demand to pay the amount at that item.

Pep Stores Tire repair service

My Pep Boy experience was a disappointment.

On Friday May 12, 2023 around 5:00 pm, I entered Pep Boy store 0105 in Gastonia, NC to have a tire repaired. I purchased a set of tires at the same store around 6-7 months ago. Along with the set, I added road hazard service, and Friday, I wanted to use that service. I tell the front desk technician that I noticed two nails in my tire, he immediately says, we can't fix the tire and I would have to purchase a new tire. After about five minutes from checking in, a technician walked out of the garage to tell the front service guy, that he was going on break. I figured there were more mechanics in the back. The front desk service guy, asked him about my tire, and he replied that I had to wait until after his break. I take a look into the garage and it was full of cars and absolutely NO mechanics. I calmly waited. After about 45 minutes, the technician comes back, and they decided to tell me they had to order me a tire, and that it would be in the next day. I waited almost an hour to be told that?

They make a 1:00 appointment for me 5/13/23 @ 1:00pm. they take about 45 minutes to service the tire. I take a look at the tire, and it's been plugged, with no explanation which is what I asked them to do in the first place. I ask about the new tire, and they go on to say, "oh we can plug the tire." At this point I'm very frustrated and just leave. After getting in my car, I noticed their notes on my receipt. The notes said, I declined road hazard and an alignment. They never once mentioned this at all. What a waste of my precious time. Never again.

Desired outcome: My desired outcome would be to have a sincere apology for my time wasted, and miscommunication from the employees. A discount or coupon on my next service would be great.
