Opodo Online ticket booking

The quoted sale price of $278.77 is completely meaningless and false. The minute I started the booking process, you started adding onto that for every single thing. The actual price, without anything but the most basic booking possible, ended up more than double the quoted “sale” price. No actual sale or savings at all in the end.

That is just not acceptable. It’s purposely misleading and dishonest. There is no explanation that this is your method, so I had no way of knowing the quoted price was only an unexplained base rate that was going to have LOTS of additions added before I was going to know the real price. It’s unethical behaviour even if it is legal, and the reason I will never give you, my money.

Once I realised what was happening, I stopped. As there was no cancel button. offered I just had to get out. I tried contacting you via email explaining all of this and asking to be unsubscribed. Not only have you not read that it or actioned it, but you are also directly contravening my wishes by contacting me daily to hassle me to finish my booking – If I wanted to complete my booking with you - I would have. I found you and worked out how to do the booking in the first place so you know I can finish it - if I want to. Obviously – I don’t want to. So, do not send me daily emails about it.

How dare you abuse the information I only gave you in the uncompleted booking process, to contact me without my consent in order to hassle me on a daily basis to finish a booking I clearly don’t want. In fact, my short experience of you left me deciding never to come back or give you my money. So how do you think I am going to react to your emails?

Stop invading my privacy with your unwanted, unwelcome invasion of my private space and time, using illegally gained personal information. Make your prices accurately reflect the realty. Do not access people’s information without consent, and then use it bombard them with unwanted emails. Make sure you explain a booking process that no-other site uses, so no-one can be familiar with. The entire experience has been bad – offensive, unlawful, unwanted and intrusive. I have now wasted another hour of my night bothering to write this feedback to you. I have no reason to think you are even going to read this!

My highest priority in life this year is to go out of my way to ensure companies like yours are given truthful feedback and that we demand more from you. I do not accept that you your business model works by tricking people into thinking they are getting an amazing price, when the reality is it ended up more expensive than the other providers. This is not OK. You need to change your website to ensure users are aware that the quoted price is only a base fee for I don’t know what, and the real prices start on top of that. At least then I wouldn’t have wasted my precious time completing a useless form, only to go on to be hassled daily by a company that I do not choose to have anything more to do with.

SO – DO NOT EMAIL ME AGAIN ABOUT THAT UNNFINISHED BOOKING OR ANYHTING ELSE, INCLUDING A REPLY TO THIS. I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY, AND I DON’T WANT TO KNOW YOUR UNACCEPTABLE RATIONALS. USE THE TIME INSTEAD TO REMOVE ALL MY INFORMATION FROM YOUR DATABSE.

NEXT ONE I RECEIVE WILL RESULT IN MY REPORTING YOU AS SCAMMERS AND BLOCKING YOU.

Desired outcome: PERMANENTLY REMOVE ALL MY INFORMATION FROM YOUR DATABSE. AND NEVER CONTACT ME AGAIN

Opodo Opodo

I booked a ticket for 3people with Opodo to go to Instabul and purchase their cancel for any reason guarantee insurance for £60. I cancelled the tickets on 3rd of October and was told that the refund will be received in 10days. I was surprised to receive an email that they will wait for the airline to authorise the refund, when I purchased the insurance that was on mentioned. I called again today 21/10/2022 as I have not received the refund. I have been told that it could take 10days for them to initiate the 80% refund from their end. I am paying interest on my credit card and I could not rebook another trip because of this. I am hugely disappointed. That is mis selling and treating customers unfairly. I will not be buying their insurances I would rather deal with the airline direct, such a rip off!

Desired outcome: I need my refund as soon as possible, and gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused and the interest I paid on my credit card.

Opodo Modification de vol avec assurance date flexible

Bonjour,

J'ai reservé un vol du 23/12 au 04/01 il y a 1 mois et j'ai souscrit à l'option date flexible afin de pouvoir le modifier quand j'aurais mes dates d'examens.

Ces dates étant tombées, je souhaite donc le modifier pour le planifier du 16/12 au 08/01 mais surprise on me dit que ce n'est pas possible car mes billets ne sont pas remboursables hors je ne demande pas de me faire rembourser mais de modifier les dates gratuitement comme indiqué dans l'assurance.

Je tente par tous les moyens de contacter l'assistance vocale qui ne m'est d'aucune aide et attends de meilleures explications et une modification de mes dates

Desired outcome: J'aimerais modifier mes dates de vol comme prévu dans l'assurance date flexible souscrite.

Opodo Cancelled my booking in error

In January 2021 I booked flights with Virgin through Opodo to travel to Calgary Canada from London Gatwick on 12th Sept 2021. I paid £1170 for these flights.

In August 2021 Virgin e mailed and advised that my flights had changed slightly. I was now flying with their code share partner Westjet and my return flight from Calgary was now to be via Toronoto and not direct as originally booked. The e mail advised that if I was content with this change I didn't need to do anything as Virgin had already moved me onto these alternative flights. In late August I contacted Opodo and asked them via a webchat to look into what my options were if I wasn't happy with this slight change of flight details. I specifically told Opodo not to do anything about my booking just to check what my options were.

On 5th Sept I received an e mail from Opodo advising that as per my request they had applied to Virgin fo a full refund of the price paid for my tickest. Immediately on receipt of this e mail from Opodo I contacted them by webchat and was advised that as Virgin had cancelled the flight my tickets were cancelled and I would receive a full refund. I advised that Virgin hadn't cancelled my booking, just moved me onto a different carrier and I sent confirmation of this to Opodo. Opodo then replied that as I had requested a refund they had processed this and were awaiting Virgin's authorisation. I advised that I hadn't requested a refund and I was content with the changes made by Virgin so I wanted my original booking re-instated. Opodo advised they would do this immediately. On 7th Sept Opodo e mailed me advising that Virgin were not prepared to re-instate the original booking as the refund had already been processed. I phoned Opodo and spoke to a team leader who advised he couldn't do anything as the refund had been processed. I explained this was a complete error on their part but he was adamant he couldn't do anything for me. I told him to keep the refund and get me new tickets for the same dates as all my hotels and car hire had been booked independently and if I didn't fly I would be seriously out of pocket. He said he couldn't do this and I would need to buy the tickest elsewhere. Inview of this I purchased the exact same tickest Opodo had cancelled in error for a cost £1350. I immediately raised a complaint with Opodo requesting re-imbursement of the £180 extra I had paid for the same tickest they cancelled in error plus £100 for my wasted time and inconvenience in getting this sorted. Since my return from holiday on 27th Sept I have received the £1170 for the tickets they cancelled in error but no re-imbursement for the extra £180 spent plus the £100 wasted time. In numerous e mails to Opodo originally laid the blame squarely on Virgin for cancelling the flight but when I explained this wasn't correct because Virgin had already moved me onto an alternative flight they then decided it was my fault as I had requested a cancellation via webchat on 28th Sept. I advised I didn't request a cnacellation and requested sight of the webchat they were relying on but they refused saying it wasn't available!. I have escalated my complaint via copying the CEO Dana OBrian into the e mails but to no avail and today Opodo e mailed stating my case was closed and they were sorry they couldn't help me!

Desired outcome: Re-imbursement of the £180 extra paid for the flights cancelled in error by Opodo plus £250 ( originally was £100) due to wasted time attempting to get some sense out of Opodo

Opodo Incompetence and scammers that are Opodo

Having booked flights through Opodo return to Goa in May 2022 for 3 x pax, I find by accident, no communication from Opodo that there were changes to the flights and connecting flight, quite specific and major changes, because of this 1 x pax was unable to travel, and the remaining 2 x pax were left stranded in Mumbai with no connecting flight, as rescheduled had landed hours after connecting flight. I requested alternative flights as per Opodos and the Airlines (Virgin) T&C's, in the meantime I was notified of a refund for the 1 x pax £180 below what I paid for the ticket, again T&C's depict that a full refund would be given if the change in operational procedures did not allow passengers to travel.

Three days later, having been asked to wait the famous 72 hours, I get notification of another refund, I queried this and was told that I requested a full refund for all pax when on the chat platform, which is complete lies, as I have a copy of the full transcript, also the flights to and from Mumbai were still live, it was the connecting flights that were cancelled and the refund was partial, thats ok I thought, I will save any hassle and re-book the connecting flights myself, only to find that the return flight was now via Delhi and there were no reasonable connecting flights to get me to the airport unless I wished to have a 14 hour wait, again for the 4th time I contacted Opodo, again having to go through the whole story and again being told that the entire flights were cancelled, even though speaking to Virgin, the flights were still live for the LHR-Mumbai and Delhi-LHR and that no refund had been requested, after 6 calls and over 8 hours on the phone, I gave in and requested personally a full refund, the last 3 conversations I have recorded and documented, I had to re-book with Virgin direct for the same flights Opodo said had been cancelled at an extra cost of £600, stay away from this company, one word scammers

Desired outcome: Full refund and compensation for this process, I have a recording of Opodo admitting liability.

Opodo Booking and reservation

Th13.10.22 I made a flight reservation for zuerich to conakry on the main page of opodo, departer 14.11.2022 retour 16.1.2023 price about 876 chf. I paid with my visa card. But then soon after payment I realised that date of departer is wrong. So changed it to 14.12.2022. Which was accepted even that it costs chf 320? Now I can not make any change online because I have never received a confirmation of my reservation. No email from opodo¦

What can I do more.

Opodo Subscription

I have been charged 59.99 for a subscription I have never used or signed up to! I would like a full refund! I haven't used this service or booked any flightsin a full year, I am disappointed it has even been taken out of my account! Why is it being subjected as too short? I've been billed for something I haven't used or subscribed, end off! Surely you can see I haven't used the thing! Absolutely ridiculous!😡😡😡

Desired outcome: A refund as soon as possible!! Very cross this had even happened when clearly I haven't used this service!!

Opodo Booking a flight

I booked a one way flight to Geneva via Opodo on September 26th and was charged £105.73 on my card at the time. The flight is on December 16th.

As it turned out, Opodo never actually booked the flight, yet they debited the money. I have been contacting them every day to try and find the booking, but there is no human I can speak to and the chatbot just keeps taking you round in circles.

When I tried to book the flight again, the system wouldn't let me, saying that "you can't book the same flight twice", which indicates that there is some record of my booking there at least. Yet, I am unable to find the booking or get the money back.

At the same time, Opodo is sending me emails suggesting that I complete the booking by paying £200 plus for the same flight, which I am not willing to do with them (would rather go direct now), yet, if I do try to click on these emails and book the flight again, it wouldn't let me, as per above.

So the current position is that I am out of pocket, with no flights nor a refund, and no one to talk to to sort this mess out.

Will not go to Opodo ever again, but would need to resolve this one way or another.

Desired outcome: Would like to get my booking confirmed.

Opodo Mis-communication and failure to tell the truth

I requested to cancel a flight almost immediately after booking flights as I would not be able to attend.

I was advised over and over again in chat that Opodo were waiting for BA refund which can take up to 3 months.

After emailing multiple times and having received an email previously from BA stating that they were refunding, I contacted BA to be told that they had refunded almost immediately.

When I told the advisor at Opodo that, he asked for written confirmation that they had told me this. Once I provided this proof he told me that the refund had been received and that the charge of 60 Euros per person meant that the cancellation charge applied by Opodo was more that the tickets for the 4 of us.

Having reviewed their terms and conditions, It stated that there may be a £25 charge applied for cancellation.

Avoid and go straight to the airline to book!

Opodo Miss treatment

I would like someone to deal with this and really give me a diffinitive response

I purchased return flights to Budapest from London stanstead with my opodo prime membership for three of us leaving London on 21st September 2022 , returning Saturday 24th September in June 2022

In September I spoke to opodo about rescheduling my flights and was told as long as I took same destination , same return , same passengers and same airline then my opodo prime membership would allow me to do this free of charge , I tried changing flights on the opodo app but kept being told it wasn’t working ! I later discovered having called opodo that as Ryanair was the airline they don’t issue refunds but if I rebooked within a two month window using opodo for as stated above ( same passengers , same flights same airline ) then opodo would refund me the new flight price

Now three weeks after the original flight was due to take place ( and having rebooked new flights for November ) I have been told that Ryanair are issuing me a £93.15 refund which is £58.13 less than the flights cost and that the new flights have been cancelled !

I should have received a refund for the flights I had to rebook and should still have new flights for November !

Please can you look into this as the call centre is appalling at dealing with my issue

Desired outcome: I want the whole either original monies refunded or the new flights monies refunded and for our new flights to be honoured ( at the present time the app declares the flights are being cancelled pending the airlines approval !!!)

Opodo Opodo prime charges

Good afternoon

I have booked flights Opodo Ref [protected] & [protected] about 2 weeks ago

My account was then charged for £59.99 yesterday on 3rd October 2022 (2 weeks after booking my flights) for Opodo membership without my consent. I did not at any stage subscribe for any membership with Opodo

Please can you refund this into my account immediately

I did not subscribe to Opodo Prime membership and have tried cancelling the membership on the website but when the page comes up to cancel credit, there is no option to cancel the membership. I have tried this numerous times to cancel today from my login page.

Opodo Opodo travel. Refund

NO JOKE, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

I booked 2 tickets to India at the beginning of 2022 for myself and a friend.

Sadly my father-in-law was informed by the hospital that he had terminal cancer and had a short time to live. I contacted Opodo with this news and they showed zero compassion as I had to cancel the flight. Since then he has sadly passed.

I have spoken several times on the telephone and via emails, almost 50 to be exact. I paid £400 back to my friend out of my pocket as I felt this wasn't his issue and I hoped like any other travel company, medical records could be provided with the understanding I would get a refund, obviously with admin fee charges. This just hasn't happened.

I found the email address of dreams and Opodo CEO, which I have contacted several times with zero replies.

Opodo then informed me that I will get a measly £233 refund. Flights to India are now £2000 each and I am currently out of pocket by £800. Today, 27th Sept 2022, Opodo has again informed me that the funds have gone into my bank and it's my bank's fault, not theirs. I checked with the bank and zero funds have gone in. Again after several emails with photographic evidence that funds are not in my bank, Opodo then began informing me that their accounts department has made a mistake and the funds will go into my account on the 10th of October, a month after Opodo was first informed of the family bereavement.

This has caused a huge amount of strain on myself and my family.

Opodo has also told me to speak directly to the airline. Air France has no direct customer service telephone number and an email was sent without a reply. When I called Opodo once again, the staff asked if I has spoken to Air France, I informed them that I have been trying, and the staff member then replied, I quote, " Ok there is nothing further to discuss, bye, bye" and she hung the phone up on me.

I have had to contact a solicitor and look to build a case against Opodo.

My true advice is for anyone thinking of booking a trip through this company, think again. Go direct with an airline to save the pain, stress, and upset.

For me, this battle continues, and I can see it going on for months, just like the rest of the customers on here having similar issues.

Good luck and hope you make the right choice.

Dear! On the OPODO website, I chatted with Vinay Jain in the chat and she promised to help in solving the problem with the cancelled flight. How long do I have to wait for an alternative flight?

Opodo Erreichbarkeit vom Kundendienst

Ich finde es unmöglich, wie schwierig es dem Kunden gemacht wird, einen Mitarbeiter am Telefon zu sprechen. Zuerst sucht man auf der Homepage ergebnislos eine Telefonnummer, die angeblich nur für Prime Mitglieder zur Verfügung steht. Hat man diese Nummer gewählt, muss man sich mindestens 20min irgendwelche Anleitungen und Optionen anhören. Wenn jemand anruft, will er mit einem Menschen sprechen, nicht in einem Chat, der doch nichts versteht. Alle Optionen, die Buchung selber zu verwalten, sieht ein einigermassen intelligenter Mensch selbst. Die Person, die dann am Telefon ist, spricht nur gebrochen Deutsch und leiert nochmals irgendwelche Identifikationsregeln herunter, obwohl man sich vorher schon mit Buchungsnummer und Kreditkarte identifiziert hat.

Fazit: sehr schlechter und mühsamer Kundendienst. Man sieht, dass es dem Kunde mit Absicht schwer gemacht wird, anzurufen. Ich werde nicht mehr mit Opodo buchen.

1 - On the 16.06.2022 reservation DE [protected] - charge EUR795.85 = 3954.48PLN by ET CarHire on 16.06.2022. I cancelled the reservation on 16.06.2022 and cancellation was accepted & confirmed by email from Opodo.pl on the same day.

My Credit Card has credited by ET CarHire Dublin with only PLN3522.00 on 29.06.2022

PLN432.48 overcharge!

2 - New reservation on 16.06.2022 no. DE814880550 – Opodo.pl total charge on voucher is EUR848.93 = PLN4717.58 but ET CarHire Dublin charge my CC EUR1009.51 = PLN5016.13;

PLN298.55 overcharge!

Desired outcome: Refund from ET CarHire Dublin of 432.48 + 298.55 = 731.03PLN to my Credit Card.

Opodo Flight change

I booked an internal flight in Thailand via Opodo. The flight was with Vietjet. I paid for reserve seating. A few weeks back ni was contacted by the airline informing me that the flight time had changed but that i would be able to book a new flight at no cost if i wished. I did this booking a different flight earlier in the day. But now i don't have reserved seats. And my Opodo account still lists the original flight details. I e-mailed Opodo that i no longer had reserved seats that i had paid for and also asking if i could still use their app to book in as the flight number was different. I have had no response.

Desired outcome: Refund of booked seats and information on checking in.

Opodo refund following a flight cancellation

I booked a flight for 2 persons via Opodo on 19/04/2022 form Manchester to Berlin and return at a cost of £554.16.

I subsequently received an email from Opodo on 21/06/2022 to advise me both flights had been cancelled by the carrier (Easyjet). The link on the email advised me the airline would contact me directly with options to either change dates or request a refund. This never happened.

I phoned Easyjet customer care who advised me I needed to deal directly with the booking agents, namely Opodo.

I then rang Opodo customer services to enquire as to the process to request a refund and was advised to complete the online claim form which I duly did.

There followed a number of calls I made asking for updates on my refund, and was promised I would receive emails - which I never did.

On 22/08/2022 I was told by one of your staff the refund would be made within 30 days.

I called again on 22/09/2022- 30 days later - as the money has still not been refunded.

I was told at that point to recontact the carrier Easyjet for an update.

I was horrified at this- given 3 months has passed since you advised me the flight had been cancelled and it appears you are no further on in respect of claiming mt refund.

I refuse to deal with anyone else other than Opodo who after all are my agents and gratefully received my money in the first place.

It may be a small amount of money to you but to me it's substantial.

I fully expect a speedy resolution or a final response letter to be issued in order I may contact the Ombudsman for help.

Opodo Failure to receive refund

I purchased a TLV-MNL-TLV ticket for my friend thru eDreams sometime in August 2021. The details of the flights appear as eDreams Booking Reference No. [protected] and Airline Booking Reference No. SA7JE6. However, the flight was cancelled by the airline and I was given a choice either to reschedule the flight or to refund the ticket. I choose to have the ticket refunded. This was last November 2021 but until now I have not received the said refund. According to eDreams, they have requested the refund from the airline but when I contacted the airline they said they have not received the claim for refund. It’s been almost a year already and i’m still waiting for my refund

Opodo Prime account cancellation

Dear Sirs, I've been trying to cancel my Prime account for weeks, but the system tricks me and won't let me cancel the account.

The system is suitable for non-cancellation and every time I enter the page to cancel it is closed.

I urgently need to cancel my account or I will ask for a refund of my monthly fee.

Opodo Cancelled flight with Royal Air Maroc in 2020.

Hello there.

Can you please resolve this issue and make a refund of my Cancelled flight. London to Lagos (return) Schedule Sept Mon. 4th to Fri. 22nd Jan 2021.

This month make it 2 years. My flight was cancelled due to operational reasons and no refund has been offered. TICKET Number 147-[protected] I will appreciate it if a refund could be made urgently.
