National Car Rental commercial

The commercial is 3X as loud as my TV! Complaints from neighbors! Live in a condo. Lower this now! No one that lives here will rent from you due to this (Fort Lauderdale beach). Pls fix this! Streaming on Direct TV Now. You are the only problem commercial. Why is this so loud? Apparently I must type more words per your standards. Just like your out of control volume.

Yet again. 3X as loud as my TV. The commercial volume is out of control. Neighbors complain. Condo in Ft Lauderdale Beach. I live here all year. Do you really want to do this in a tourist area? Streaming Direct TV Now. Make it stop! Oh yet again too short. Everything must be long and LOUD! LETS ALL SCREAM! Turn the commercial volume to all of the others! No one here had anything against National until now! No one here will rent from you!

National Car Rental rental promotions and customer service info

Enrolled in one two free - earned a number of free rentals, was informed of limit of 3 coupons use at a time, asked about rental location limits and was told there were none, needed to be used for rental days before end of day June 13th. There was a note that they can be used at National Rental locations, I asked a customer service rep about this in April and was informed that was true - I asked about Dublin Ireland Airport and they said it was covered.
Can I redeem my ONE TWO FREE® Free Rental Day‡ coupons at an Enterprise® location?

ONE TWO FREE promotion coupons can only be redeemed for rentals at National® locations.

Trying to apply the coupons today and system would not allow it, called customer service and they said make the reservation and then call back to have coupons applied. They tried to apply the coupons but ran into a limit on not being allowed in Dublin. They claimsed outside US - but I would in fine print many outside US locations but not Dublin.

Had I been informed of this limitation previously I would have used my coupons on other trips. Now I have had to use my earned credits for Dublin and am at risk of having earned coupons expire before I can use them.

Are they any remedies that can be done to address this and keep me a happy loyal Emerald club member?

National Car Rental tolls

Quite often I get toll citations but my card on file is okay according to National Car Rental. Almost every week my card ( AMX) on file gets card successfully for the rental and most of the time the tolls. Occasionally I get a citation but when I go to pay online it says the citation number linked to the rental agreement is paid . It shows a receipt with the exact amount and the time and date of the toll in question. I'll call the toll number on the online website and get transferred to someone who can take my card number over the phone. I'm often told that the card was rejected after two attempts at different dates but my card company tells me that they never show a transaction request or rejection on their end. I spoke with someone today, read my card over the phone and it went through fine. I tried to see what I could do to avoid this annoying ongoing issue ion the future but the person on the phone who took my card number hung up on me. As of today National Car Rental is losing not just my weekly business but every other person who works for my firm our any other portfolio company we own. I've tried several time to resolve this issue with no luck. No one every returns my phone calls. this is the rental agreement number [protected] and the citation number is EHI85131853. National Car Rental price gouging

My other company was charging 106.04 You charged 250.60.

Situation: Had reserved vehicle with another company at Houston IAH on 4-26 at 1130PM, my flight was delayed and I arrived at the rental facility after midnight and found out my retailer was closed. So I approached your rental counter, (well after a 35 minute wait) and asked him if they work with my comp after closing, he said no only honor Alamo. I showed him my and he said he would see what he had, and said only thing was compact for 168 plus tax and fees. Final bill being 250, Tax and fees 80? I took the compact (basically forced to take that absurd price because I had to be in Austin in 5 hours). I feel I was taken advantage of because your clerk would not honor another companies rate. Price more than double...

Anyways I went upstairs and the personal said pick any vehicle in this row, it took 3 attempts to find a clean non-pot smelling vehicle. My spouse was very upset the 2 of the vehicles were smoked in.

National Car Rental customer service

I rented 3 van at tpa last month, I still can not get over the way I was treated that day. 1st, budget rented me 2 15 passenger van when they only had 1 available. After waiting 3hrs, I ended up settling for a 12 pass and a 15pass. Then after returning them, I got in my car to exit the airport through national, I pull up the gate and ivan screamed so loud "stop". I said "ivan, im right here. No need to scream. I got 2 babies in the back sleeping". Then 2 other guys/managers came out of no where screaming and cursing to get out of their f property for nothing. I will make it my life long mission to tell all about national and budget.

National Car Rental customer service at the airport

I reserved a car through my company's business account. I am on travel for business. I rented the vehicle from March 15, 2019 to April 12th, 2019. My travel has been extended to May 1st. I am currently trying to reach the Norfolk International Airport National Car Rental. I have tried getting a hold of National for 2 days now. I am trying to extend my vehicle however I can not reach them. I have spoke to the Customer Service at the National Extensions Department multiple times on extending and they said they cannot extend on their side and that I would have to call the Airport directly to extend longer than 30 days. I have no option to return it to the location due to being gone for travel. I have precisely called the National at Norfolk International Airport 46 times spanning 2 days. I have reached less than twice. First time was when I was told I could extend but they could not do it right then and that I had to call back later. The second time I reached them was through the Enterprise booth next to them in the Airport. Enterprise transferred me to their line. I was on hold for 2 minutes when I heard "Are you still there" and then I proceeded to speak however it was silent on his end. I said hello and then waited 15 more minutes with no avail. I have till Thursday, April 11th to get this resolved and extended. If I do not get this resolved by April 11th, I will return the vehicle at a different location and no longer use national or enterprise. I will go with another company for the forseeable future. I am a frequent traveler and I travel on average of 8 months a year for work. However, I most likely will not use National if this is not resolved. I have never received worse services. Calling a business 46 times is not acceptable. The Customer Service line also called them to no avail and then proceeded to send them an email. I also left multiple voicemails and no resolution. Please contact me for resolution. I am running out of time to renew my National before proceeding to another company. Rental Agreement # [protected] and Telephone #[protected]

National Car Rental overcharging & promptness of resolving issue

Dear National

The rental car facility is responsible for ensuring I never fly into Wichita again.
There customer service is horrible, they over charged my account without discretion. Resolving the issue has been very time consuming. I've never been treated this badly in seven years of being executive status. My travel Agent informed me of multiple complaints out of this establishment, why isn't anything being done to straighten out this facility.

National Car Rental reservation vehicle availability

I reserved a "High Roof" passenger van at the Fort Lauderdale Airport location for rental this June. I decided to ensure avalability by visiting location this week. Upon arrival no staff member could advise availability and manger on duty stated they have not had vehicle at their location in years. When shown availabilty online and asked for help locating a proper location the manager stated he would get back to me. It has been 5 days and he is still not responding to phone call attempts. I am spending a lot of resources to give your business my money and the inquiry still not addressed?!

National Car Rental unauthorized credit card charges

I rented a vehicle in Regina Sask, November 12th and returned it November 14th RA# [protected]. I did not have time to refuel prior to returning the vehicle and was charged for a fill. I accept this charge. On the 15th of November, I received an email notifying me that as there was evidence of smoke in the vehicle, I was going to get charged $200 for clean up.
1. I do NOT smoke
2. I was the only one in the vehicle for the entire rental period
3. There was NO inspection done at the time I returned the vehicle. I received pictures showing ash in the vehicle. How can you charge someone for smoking in the vehicle when there was no inspection done at the time I returned the vehicle?

I have tried repeatedly to contact your offices to complain about this and each time I called I was assured someone would contact me in the next 2-3 days. Well it is now 3 months since this incident and still no phone call.

I have been a member since 2001. As of today, I have cancelled my membership with National - your customer service is DISGUSTING!

National Car Rental poor customer service

I took a family trip to Hawaii and needed to rent two cars for the duration of the trip. Since the Emerald Club site will not allow multiple reservation at the same time, I made a call to Emerald Club to make the reservations under my account. When I talked to customer service, I told them that I needed to rent two cars. The customer service represented told me that I could not be the Primary driver on both rentals and I needed to list one of the other drivers as the primary. I ask if I would still get the credit for the rental and they confirmed that I would since I was making it under my account.

When we arrived at the counter our reservations were there, however we needed to put all the drivers on the contacts and then we decided that it would be easier to put the rentals on one credit card. Not thinking how this would affect the rewards points, I let it go. After the trip, I noticed that there were no credits to my account so I called in again. They told me that since I had just returned that it takes time to process and check back in a couple of weeks. Fast forward a month later, I still notice that there has been no change to the account. They had now changed their story and said because another Credit card was used to pay for both rentals that I no longer qualified get the points.

On top of this, I had submitted a transfer of my Avis Preferred point to Emerald Club and that was also not completed, even after getting the confirmation email form National.

I travel often for work and have never had this many issues with Hertz or Avis. And when there was a dispute, both Avis and Hertz we able to work with me to get the problems resolved and with extra rewards for the inconvenience. National/Emerald was not willing to work with me at all, even on one rental and my points were never transferred. As far as I am concerned, I am no longer going to use National for rentals for business and personal use. Sorry National, but I base my decision on who gives better customer service and not price. The difference in price is not worth the time I have wasted trying to work with you to get this issue resolved.

National Car Rental I complain about who not working well as its should be

Hey account of membership it's not working I complain about that no anything about this information should be to fix soon possible ok this is information for this I'm Aftab Yusuf my driver's License:, I complain since last year before and still yet no answer to knowing happened and reason also I need to know understand what's going on about that and who do not working well as it's should be carefully understood need to fix and investigation about that actived account and also take action about that because When I try to rent a car my account is not working since last year I'm finding about this problem somebody who locked my account he didn't know his as It should be without any reason also because when ever I call they told me that there going to send a request that somebody will help me out and fix this problem but nothing happen I did not get any call and no help so I'm shock about this and I'm good customer since long time so I don't know why national car someone locked my account and I can't make any rental car booking please fix this problem I've been finding out this problem since last year and until now why that employee did like this & without any reason please fix these problem if not I will cancel this national car membership and take other company if it will be like this because I complain already may time to all departments but nothing also head offices Management but nothing who working there did not working well as it's should be shocking that & no any company like that need to know Also last FinaL I want this message to send again about shocking there & happened to head office to know about this Issue be carefully about for, hopefully understand hopefully Thank You.

National Car Rental worst service ever

Rented a car from national and left my surface pro in the back of the car a lady there confirmed she had it and what was in the laptop bag... after 37 phone calls over a period of 4 days trying to get a tracking number and no one ever getting back to me my laptop arrived... still with no communication from anyone... opened the box and my laptop is shattered as if a car drove over it, as well as the laptop bag damaged and the hard drive and remote. I phoned customer service to tell them what had happened and they told me it was not them that did it must have happened in transit which is not possible as the box is not damaged and the laptop was in bubble wrap and it does not explain the tears in the laptop bag... I have never written a review on a company in my life this is my experience with national. Again they refuse to help at all

National Car Rental did not get the type of rental car I paid for.

Reserved a full-size rental car for pickup at MHT on 9/28. The tall young man in a sport jacket in the rental garage said to take a Mazda CX3 that was nearby. We loaded the luggage in, could not put both pieces way in the back so put one in the back seat. Seemed very small but did not mention anything then. We struggled for three days getting in and out of the car. Upon return to MHT, did not complain since we had a plane to catch.
When back in FL, found out that what we had was indeed not full size but rather a sub-compact crossover.
I believe a refund is in order. I paid $174.86 for the car that was given to us.

My contact info was in my complaint. As well as where I picked up the car(Manchester Airport in NH). The rental contract info was provided. All of that info was "Protected" in the above e-mail. My phone is [protected] if you would like to discuss this further. Suffice it to say, I paid for a type of car that was not given to me. It appears to me that since a month has gone by since I voiced my complaint that you are not interested in resolving this in a timely manner. National Car Rental additional charges

Hi, once again I came up to express my indignation with National attendance in Panama. Besides of first epsiode where were obligated to pay 80 USD for Third Party insurance, we got another surprise when we returned the vehicle. The guy who inspected the car told us that there were a kneaded in the door which was caused by us... what? And once we rejected the insurance when we've rented the vehicle, we were obligated to pay more 125 USD for that! It means that to stay 5 days with this vehicle we spent more than 300 USD...
We really do not agree on that! I'm sending photos from the vehicle for your analysis than you will be able to see if there is any kneaded which represents 125 usd... it is unbelievable! It looks like a trick because we did not accept to pay for all the insurance!

We are an Emerald member! We always choose National to rent our vehicles and we never passed for any situation like this. We are really upset and we do want a resolution for this case.

National Car Rental email information

I signed up for the National Car Rental Emerald Club a few months ago. I filled out the forms in English. Any information I have received from them is in french only. There isn't even a translate button to change it to English. I have complained multiple times and I actually got one response. The fix was promised but not followed up upon. You cannot reach them by e-mail without 20 minutes of filling out forms and you cannot reply to their e-mails. You cannot call them without endless button pressing. Customers seem to be secondary to their business model. They lost out on a 2 week European rental as we rented from the competitor. All of their e-mails now go to junk.

National Car Rental reservation not honored!?

On August 21 I booked a vehicle through National Car rental for a pick up in Cobourg Ontario. Afrer answering all of the agents questions I was provided a confirmation number and told I could pick up my rental immediately. I also got a follow up email invoice. With paperwork in hand I immediately got a taxi into town to pick up my reserved vehicle.
Upon arrival at the address on my paperwork it took me a while to locate the service desk which is an unmarked and unstaffed reception desk in the corner of a very dilapidated pool supply company.
After locating a staff member to assist me I was told...quite rudely...that there were no vehicles available at this location and none were expected for several days.
There were no apologies, no offers to locate me a replacement car, no attempts of any nature to try to deal with the situation. The staff was rude, loud, and dismissive.
When I asked for an explanation how this happened I was blamed. She exclaimed to everyone within the store that it was my own fault for not providing any contact information so they could call me back once they realised they had no cars on their lot.
Well, the paperwork in my hand listed not one but 3 phone numbers as well as the email address they sent it to. I ALWAYS provide several contact numbers JUST IN CASE! So they had both of my cell numbers, my home landline, and my email address. They used none of them to contact me about a reservation problem. They obviously didnt care that they created this issue. They obviously didnt care to even aplogize let alone do anything to make it right.
My paperwork was useless. The confirmation number was irrelevant. The 100 dollars I spent to get to National and back home empty handed was a waste. The hours it took away from my day wasted.

I located a car at Enterprise the following day. They picked me up and took me in to get the rental car, gave me a better deal, great service, and drove me home again after I returned it days later. Never again will I use National. They obviously have some serious internal issues and no concept of customer service.

My complaint about your company was absolutely not resolved. you have however labelled it resolved to customer satisfaction. this is an outright lie. there has been absolutely no contact between your company and myself personally to address the issue. you have deceptively marked my review to convince anyone reading it that you stepped up and made it right. you did nothing beyond a generic comment asking me to contact you to provide more information. no personal contact was made. no notice was sent to indicate you replied to my review. I found it now... two years later. there is no integrity in your review system if you use it to lie to the public and give the impression that you made all the required efforts to remedy the matter. you did nothing to address my complaint. my review has not been resolved to the customer satisfaction.

National Car Rental i'm had a problem with the wait time

I made a reservation with my emerald account received my confirmation number for my rental took a uber to pick up the vehicle when I arrived to pick out the car in my section they told me we dont have any cars right now and the wait time is 1hr to 1hr and 30min I stayed there and waited 2 hrs and 30 to receive a vehicle and missed 2 appointments this was horrible experience that I ever had dealing with national rental

National Car Rental broken down vehicle / service none

On Friday morning, 8/24 The vehicle, my husbands company rented, would not start after we had just driven from Chicago to Rockford. We called customer service and were told it would take 2 to 5 HOURS to get us help. We came into town from Texas for appointments we had. We said that was unacceptable. Our company pays $100, 000's at least, a year with you.. We rent a car every other week, all year round. And there are several other employees doing this too. The gentleman made a joke and laughed. That was very unprofessional! We were transferred to a local facility. And told he had not one car on his lot. And would check around and get us something. STILL HAVENT HEARD FROM ANYONE ! Not even a call from customer service making sure we were ok? It us now Saturday evening, 8/25! Thank God my husband got the car started! 45 minutes later! However we are left worrying about weather this will happen again! UNACCEPTABLE! My husband is in upper management. He WILL be discussing this with his office and requesting this company take their business somewhere else. How do you leave someone stranded and not even a call!?

National Car Rental untrained staff argued with me while returning the car rental

I had a rental this week from 8/13-8/18. While returning the car, the staff said he couldn't find the records and asked for paperwork. As national give no paperwork during the rental, I said I have none. he started arguing with me and kind of made joke on me. he was very unprofessional and walked off mentioning the other staff would help me out. I asked him whether he could run the number plate of the car and find out. he said he has no records of my rental. acted like i stole the car. employee name was Syed. location : Dulles airport IAD. Once I stated this to his manager, a colored lady she said a mere "OK" instead of even listening to what i was saying or asking me what was going on. I felt its their culture in the company. This is the second time Im facing such untrained staff in this location. The manager as well as the staff should be retrained. so unhappy about the service. if the employees started thinking, they are safe and invinsible, it would be no time customers will start avoiding and will be forgotten soon forever. Im really looking for alternatives than renting from here.

At Approximately 10:30 this morning i witnessed a Woman who was approaching and very close to the bus with full cart of luggage. Michael saw her and instead of waiting and helping her load her luggage onto the bus, he ran onto his bus shut the doors and took off without her.

This complete lack of respect towards this woman is unacceptable and Michael needs to be reprimanded.
