Device is no longer under warranty, and is locked after a factory reset due to Google FRP.

Motorola (falsely) claims they cannot override it with an OEM flash of the locked down Android ROM (locking phones down with OEM nonsense or Google nonsense is illegal in Canada by the way as per CRTC); I myself used to work in IT, the manufacturer can always bypass any internal hardware, software or third party locks via android.

There is no universe where FRP (software) from Google, via Alphabet, can impede the OEM in ANY way, as OEM maintains control over their own internal software (MOTO flavour of android) or hardware.

Don't ever buy name brand android phones honestly, especially in North America, they are all designed to keep you trapped to your carrier, despite it being illegal to lock a user to a carrier or OS; especially when that device is no longer under warranty.

Claimed loss: $995 CAD, could never use the phone because of FRP lock; after I had used a dummy gmail account that can no longer be accessed.

Desired outcome: OEM Flash of device is ALL that I needed, was even willing to pay OEM for the procedure; they refused however and directed me towards FutureTel.
