TextNow Tech support scam from india

[protected] this is text now phone number when i check from the internet. they impersonate microsoft and took access over my computer. the person who called me claimed herself as Yasmin Sharif from San Francisco and told me that my computer has been infected with virus and there are number of hacker in my computer and they are mis using my computer and also told me my IP has been hack and inorder to get the hackers and virus from my computer i needed a software which they will provide me at the rate of $1800 and ask me to get a Gift card which will be available at Target Store

Desired outcome: i want my money back or block this person phone number

TextNow Don't bother!

I tried diligently to obtain a SIM card for the textnow service. When I tried to finalize the purchase, my credit card was declined, so I contacted my credit card company, who said there were no issues on that end. I tried to contact textnow, via chat, via phone, with no satisfaction. I guess they're not interested in my business. Oh well. Lots of other cell phone providers to choose from!

TextNow Textnow $13.99 monthly service & a TextNow purchased Samsung A11.

I have been a customer for a few years. Through those years I have paid $13.99 a month to have a little data. All I wanted was the ability to make a call if needed while away from wifi. The call service on their data was mediocre. Sometimes I had decent service, sometimes it was awful. But it was only $13.99 a month so I figured what more could I expect. Around March of 2022, TextNow migrated from T-mobile to Sprint to the best of my understanding. TextNow sent me a new SIM card to insert into the phone I purchased from TextNow so that I would continue to have service.I followed the instructions and to my dismay, I no longer had data. I contacted a representative right way. By the way, you can only chat online with representatives online and they will swap you from rep. to rep. making you do the same troubleshooting over and over until you are online for hours. I did this at least 4 times with no results. Well, that all started back on around April 5, 2022. I finally gave up & decided to just run on their free wifi & deal w/no data. Well, fast forward to September 2022. I noticed that Textnow charged me $13.99. So I looked back through my credit card history to realize they never stopped charging me $13.99 every month after I already informed them I have no data anymore! So, I was paying monthly for nothing! Sure it's my fault for taking 6 months to realize it. BUT, when I brought it to their attention, they declined to refund me. Then they claimed my device, from their end, shows I've used data. Well, I can't explain that. All I know is if I'm away from wifi, I cannot connect to make a call or send a text. So, what was I paying for? I was paying for free wifi service. After hours of arguing, they finally refunded me 3 months. Literally, a rep. named Grant said, "At least I championed you a 3 month refund." As if he's a champion & I should be so grateful! WHAT?! Then after that, he collaborated with "his team" and they came up with the solution that my phone is incompatible and "obsolete" so they told me I need to buy a new phone that is compatible. So, get this. I purchased my phone from TextNow. It is a Samsung A11. Samsung A11 was released on May of 2020 according to google. So that would make my phone 2 years old. OBSOLETE?! What the?! Okay but fine. Here is my complaint. I, to avoid ANY issues, decided it would be best to buy my phone from the company who would provide my service. So I bought this Samsung A11 from textnow and it was compatible for their service UNTIL textnow decided to migrate from T-mobile to Sprint. At that time they let their customers know & said a SIM would arrive in the mail with instructions. This new SIM card would be inserted into our phones so that we would continue to have TextNow service. Cool. Okay. No problem. But mine never worked and I let them know right away and continued reaching out several times only to get NO answers or solutions. I did give up. But this time, this contact in Sept. 2022 was different. I was never told before that my phone became incompatible to their new service. In that case, I feel like they should just have me send my phone back to them and they should send me one that IS compatible. I purchased a compatible phone from them to avoid this sort of nonsense. And on top of it all, I still didn't walk away with a refund of the months I paid for no service. I got a 3 month refund. I lost 4 months that I paid for no service because of "policy." I told them to cancel my account. So, believe me when I say, use ONLY the free part of TextNow. You can pay for service and it might be great but the minute it goes wrong, don't expect to be satisfied or made whole. I lodged a complaint with the BBB. It is a Canada based company which I didn't know until now.

Desired outcome: A decent company w/good ethics would offer to exchange the incompatible phone I purchased from Textnow w/a compatible phone & a refund of each month I paid for service that I didn't receive.

I paid for this Ser my phone has broke so never got to use it.don't have access to that text now number anymore. Please put my money back on my card.please don't make me get ugly the number I paid for this on is [protected]

TextNow Textnow app

After five years of using this app and being general fine with the service I was terminated from it for violating their Terms of Service (ToS). They won't explain what I did or reinstate after chatting with them (no customer service number to call) but of course they're going to keep my money and Apple won't refund it either since it's been more than 60 days since my subscription renewal.

Great little scam they and Apple have going on. Cut the service but keep the money. Then split the pot at the end for a nice payday.

Don't get sucked into their scam world and save yourself the aggravation.

TextNow Textnow customer support

I have general questions about my upgraded service and SIM card but I have never been able to chat or speak with a live agent. When you go to there support page and choose the live chat option you will move up the queue slowly and once you're in position 1 you will stay there for hours until you either give up or get knocked back to position 8 or whatever. It's ridiculous.

TextNow premium service - delete ads on free wifi numbers

Issue is working with support. They either don't know or don't want to help based on company policy - feeling is screw you we got your money. I had a number, paid the Premium service. Then TextNow cancelled the number and/or access to the account. So I created a new number and I am trying to get the initial premium service applied to my new number. TextNow states that they can't do this. So I went to Google Play. Google Play does not allow allow me to cancel. TextNow said they can't flick the switch and apply premium to my new number even though they know I have paid the $29.99 for the yearly services. I see no next step except to complain about how bad TextNow is as a service provider. Google won't cancel and refund. TextNow states it has to be done by Google. I am in a no win situation. Typical TextNow response. Can't believe this service is still in business as they do not meet minimum requirements to provide customer service.

TextNow don't use them

I am sure it's a huge scam.
The sim they provided is non-working. I called them numerous times. They rarely pick up the phone. And if they do, they act like rude idiots. Ok, I would probably handle this if they were helpful. But the problem is that they weren't at all. I feel cheated because I paid for non-existent service, for a non-working sim. They just took my money and stopped being nice to me.

TextNow takes over 3 weeks to cancel!

If you want support or help signing on, support is available within hours.
If you want to cancel?

You'll be redirected to a 'live call' scheduler that has no openings for 3 weeks.
And when you file a ticket to say thats unacceptable, well, its been five -days- and I've still got no replies.

Tomorrow I'm going to my card provider to demand they stop accepting charges, which is a pain in the [censor], but apparently the only sure way to drop these bums.

i have severally tried to login into textnow to obtain a US number but nothing is happening, please help me out.It keeps on telling me Unknown error - Please try submitting again. If the problem continues contact Customer Care for assistance.I really need it urgently please.

TextNow my textnow account wont let me log in

my account just logged out by it self and when I try to login it says username or password incorrect which is correct I tried so many times it still says the same... And I have important messages on it I need to reply, pls help me. I do not want to loss my messages... This is my username jorhney1,, and password generaljhydon... This is my textnow number [protected] pls find a solution to it for me Thanks..

I am visually impaired and have to access my textnow account on my computer to be able to see it. all of a sudden it wont let me sign in until i "prove i am human" by pressing and holding the button. well...a mouse only clicks, it doesnt hold. so now i cant use my textnow account. i tried to find a way to contact support but there isnt and these people think i would consider purchasing a phone and service from them and i cant even find a way to file a complaint ticket so they can fix this? UNBELIEVABLE! there are laws that protect the disabled. people use to ensure equal access to those of us who have challenges to daily living, but no more. textnow you need to be responsible for ensuring that EVERYONE can use your product!

TextNow something went wrong

I purchased premium two times and right now i can't log in my account, saying "something went wrong, please try again" I am not requesting for a refund, i just want my account be log in again, i have important contacts there, it happen today 04/22/2017, I am using this 2months and suddenly can't log in anymore, i used VPN to maybe on that it could be log in my account again but still sating " something went wrong " I am begging, Fix this asap

TextNow Not impressed

I've purchased this TextNow app and was not satisfied with it at all. It is very slow, it always freezes and it's absolutely impossible to reach someone. I also tried to send some messages via TextNow but my messenger did not work. There is no way to reach customer service and get some help. I tried to fix it myself, tried to find any solutions online but just wasted my time. Really bad app, I would not recommend it to anyone.

TextNow They started to take money for the free app

My friend advised me to try the app from the website www.textnow.com. I downloaded it and it was good, maybe ‘coz I thought that it was for free. Unfortunately, they started to take money from me and no one warned me about it. The worst company and they didn’t provide any support at all. I tried to reach them, but no one replied, so I cancelled my account and deleted this app. Please leave comments about your experience on this website.

I have removed the text now app from my phone and it is still trying to pull money from my cash app account, i have not agreed to that and dont need or want the app so please help me with this issue.

Using WiFi on my Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus SM-G986U Serial #: R5CN21FBH5N I can't access my voicemail. It prompts me to enter my 10 digit phone number, which I do, then it tells me that number doesn't have a voicemail box.

Yes somehow one of my contacts and messages got delivered and I had nothing to do with deleting it and is it possible for someone else on a iphone to hack into my account and somehow I had two different contact names under the same number I really need them messages back for custody court over my daughter
